So long, farewell....

So, it's come to this. My gold membership expires in a week and I have decided that rather than renew, I will bring an end to this thing called Kateschmate. I hardly ever update, and only about 3 people read this anyway, so that's it. I thought for my last entry I'd treat you all to a little retrospective, some of my favorites from over the years.

Thursday, Nov. 20, 2003
"So long suckers!!"

Saturday, Dec. 06, 2003
"I drove past a strip club the other day that has a HUGE picture of Lady Di painted on the side of the building. Still haven't figured that one out."

Monday, Apr. 12, 2004
"There was also some sort of magical beaver puppet, but he cancelled his last show because of the rain. (Insert wet beaver joke of your choice here.)"

Sunday, Apr. 18, 2004
"Whoo-hoo!! It's hot! Finally, I'm starting to defrost. Like a giant pork chop."

Monday, May 31, 2004
"I will say, however, that my dad totally kicks ass, is, in fact, the shit-whip on toast, & I will be forever grateful for his putting up with my crap, & not selling me into slavery or locking me in the crawlspace, as I would have probably done, had I been him."

Wednesday, Jul. 07, 2004
"So basically what we've learned here is that Richmonders are check forgin', ass-whuppin' murderers, while Daytonians are fire-settin', car thievin' rapists.
Interesting."

Thursday, Aug. 19, 2004
"It's just common sense, in my opinion. Babies: don't break 'em, don't shake 'em & don't bake 'em. Simple, right?"

Friday, Oct. 22, 2004
"Holy Cannoli!
Somebody else signed my map!
I got so excited I think I peed a little."

Monday, Nov. 29, 2004
"In other news my diary was a google result for "cheestastic". Tee hee."

Sunday, Dec. 19, 2004
"I got singled out for the whole extra-super-special body cavity security check. Joy. I really loved the look on the TSA lady's face when that wand went off. Priceless."

And that pretty much brings us up to date with the best-of action. Many thanks to all (3) of you who have read & hopefully enjoyed this. I will be reachable at [email protected] for those of you who just can't live without their Kate.
And with that, I leave you with the words of 2 of the most brilliant minds of our time, Richard Bach & Bon Jovi.

Don't be dismayed at good-byes. A farewell is necessary before you can meet again. And meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends.
Richard Bach

Never say goodbye, never say goodbye. You and me and my old friends. Hoping it would never end. Never say goodbye, never say goodbye. Holdin on - we got to try. Holdin on to never say goodbye
Bon Jovi
