I was in such a rush this morning that I nearly hustled out the door holding my t.v. remote thinking it was my cell phone. Need I also mention that I am more than a little sleep deprived? Tonight doesn't look very promising in that department. According to the weatherman it's supposed to stay in the 70's overnight. Ugh...

I can see it now. Hours of tossing and turning, covers on/covers off, accompanied by not a few grumblings on my part. You see, I do not control the thermostat because it's not my house. I leave that to my roommate, Mr. tall and skinny... and "thrifty". You would think that, him being a man and all, he'd be dying of the heat. Isn't that normally how men are? They always have a higher body temperature than women. So, I guess if I want to get any quality sleep tonight, I'll have to get home in time to plead my case to mr. tall and skinny and thrifty and goes to bed early enough to impress the old people. He is an endless source of entertainment. And run-on sentences.

I'm sitting at my desk right now, listening to the radio. Normally, I listen to the station that plays rock and alternative type stuff, but every time they play that horrid commercial where the girl gets way too excited about winning three dollars, I have to turn it immediately. It grates on me nerves, it does. So I'm listening to the local "hot r&b" station, which loves to play the reggae infused rap and any song that samples the Chipmunks, I'm guessing.

I've almost finished off my box of graham cracker sticks and my office no longer smells, since the carpet dried in the room next door where it flooded. However, if it gets hot enough this week, maybe we'll get the downwind aroma of the nearby papermill, or better yet, the parking lot full of dumpsters right across the street from my office (why are they there? the parking lot belongs to a mattress company). Anywho.

I'm about to get out of here, so I can get stuck in traffic and unleash a string of obscenities on all the drivers who cut me off and don't signal or give the little wave. I'll be listening to some songs from the 70's t.v. movie "Sooner or Later" featuring former heart-throb Rex Smith... that will make it all better.

Ta for now.
