Hey y'all. I realize that I've been an incredibly poor diarist lately. First work was crazy-busy, then it seemed like so much had happened that I could never fit it all in, then I became incapable of formulating a complete sentence, but now, well, it's pretty boring around here.
The members are all on "Spring Break" so there hasn't been any session. Plus, The Man was on vacation last week, so there wasn't much to do. They did give us 2 days of comp time, so I was able to go home for Easter, which was...OK. I don't know. I feel like a fish out of water there anymore. That, and a number of other things have been depressing me lately. Articulating them really doesn't seem to help much, so I'll spare you. Right now I'm just going to blame the whole mess on hormones and hope it goes away by next week.
Not much else to report. B. and I are having people over tonight, which should be fun. However, we did just find out that the Speaker is here today, so we probably won't get out until 7, which will be something of a shock to the system, since we've only been having to work until 4:30.
I guess this wasn't much of a first entry back, but hopefully I'll be able to do better (and be cheerier) from now on....
