A good day

Ok, update from the rant: I'm going to Reston, VA next week for 4 intensive days of Administrator training, after which I will come back to work and (hopefully) get my privs restored. Other than that, work is just busy, but also full of stupidity.

However. Today was a good day... no, a REALLY good day. Why was that, you ask? Because I did NOT go to a "thanks for all your hard work during the audit" lunch given by the CFO (my boss) along with about 10-15 other people. No, I didn't do that. Instead, I had lunch with one of my very favorite people in the world (and I'm not saying that just because I know he'll read this eventually).

MT came through town, took me to lunch, and then back to his truck, where (and this was the BEST part) we had loving bed snuggles. It has been SO LONG since I've had a visit to the safe place, the place of comfort, the place where his arms are holding me and my head is resting on his shoulder, and my eyes are closed, and all is right with the world. It was wonderful. I could so easily have fallen asleep there in his arms, and, if things had been a little different, I would have.

Plenty of if only's, but we had a very nice lunchtime rendezvous, and it is what it is, and I take what is given, and I give what is asked of me, and it's all good.

Perhaps I'll take an appliance with me to Virginia, because there's always a possibility of a long intense phone call while I'm out of the house and away. Remind me to pack that on Sunday morning. :)

That's really all I have to say right now. Going to go read and fall asleep feeling his arms around me, in my memory.
