I'm so sorry for you. I'm glad you're thinking about others, but honestly, I know that hurts worse sometimes. If you really want to help, just be there and listen if they need you to. My thoughts are with you. Hugs
from iwanttotell :
I'm so sorry, Love.

De-clawing has its advantages-one of the strays we took in was de-clawed, and it is so much more pleasant when she climbs all over us. No snagged clothes either. On the other hand, that is why we took her in-a cat without claws cannot defend itself, and we have a ton of strays that we feed outside. Puff-Puff is so gentle and sweet that we were afraid they'd tear her up. Since we're considering having another de-clawed, I don't think I'll do the Google. The decision is not mine, and I'd probably rather not know the details. Good Luck with Rooster.

LOVE Spanks! ugly as all hell, but so damn good! I was so bummed when Sarah didn't win rebel billionaire, because how cool would that have been? From footless pantyhose to Virgin CEO?!?!?

I've heard getting shit on by a bird is good luck. I think that's a bunch of crap! I used to work near a courthouse, and in front of the courthouse is where I met my ride. I got shit on so much by the pigeons there, I started taking the bus!
from iwanttotell :
Well said!

Arm & Hammer makes a kitty litter that has a nearly appealing scent. It's my favorite where litter is concerned. I know what you mean-I like fresh, clean scents. Pine cleaner, and you'll probably think it's odd, but I like the scent of moth balls or those solid thingies you can hang in the toilet! Enjoy the Holidays.

re your husban'd *eating disorder*: mu hubby does the same thing! he NEVER eats lunch, and if I'm not home, he won't eat dinner either, but then he goes to bed and say: I ahve a killer headache, I wonder what it could be.... DUH!!
from iwanttotell :
Sounds like the kind of day where you want to climb back between the covers of your safe bed. Don't feel bad-my day has been similarly bad, plus I hit a co-worker's car when my recently-lotioned hands slipped from the steering wheel! Her car is white and mine is black! MONDAYS!
from autumnleigh :
Yeah! A-Hole (I mean, A-Rod) really should shut up about that incident. He blew it big time.
from iwanttotell :
Well, hell, I don't have a dog.
from iwanttotell :
Is that how you get good service these days? Maybe I'll send Phil away tomorrow and have some fun with the house painters! Have a most excellent weekend. I know I intend to! Hugs
from autumnleigh :
The baseball prediction, that is, not J leaving you. Ye gods!
from autumnleigh :
Oh, how I hope your prediction is correct!
from iwanttotell :
You poor, poor dear! I don't know what I'd do at my lonesome post without my trust radio and country music! Hugs
from iwanttotell :
My heart goes out to you and JBro. Believe me when I say that. His situation is worse, but similar in ways to my son's. They both need to realize they're grown men now and only they can fix things. It's a horrible, helpless feeling, I know, but even if you could help now, you couldn't shoulder his responsibilities forever. It would be too much strain like you said. Hugs

I'm surprised to find the Olympics have interested me this year too. I've never bothered with them in the past, but watching those cute little tushies-well who can resist? Need the recipe, please! I'm going to a party Sunday, don't know what to take, and easy is not a problem for me! Please! If you have the time and can, please email me with [email protected]. I would appreciate it greatly.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY. I remember thinking 30 was OLD-you probably still do! I don't feel old; the older you get, the less the numbers matter. Take that from a 39 year old. That was a nice entry. Hugs

Aw! I'm trying to get preg now too.Loved the conversation with yourself. I can relate. Goodluck to you!

Oh man - I hate dental work. I woke up with my jaw swollen shut a few months ago only to find out that my wisdom teeth had impacted and needed to be removed. I thought that only happened to twelve year olds.

Yes, all of us Chicagoans can drive and multi-task. I can't remember, but i think its a requirement to live in the city.
from treesssa :
Happy Holidays to you and yours!!

LOL you see why i wrote the 'open letter to parents'? You remind me alot of me before i had my daughter. No, wait, I change that, i still get very irritated with parents when they think that everyone must love their children. You really can't hate the child because its their goofy-ass parents that let them get away with that crap!I know alot of my friends think that i am being a mean mom that doesn't take my kids to parties with me, but then again my kid isn't the one running through someone's house screaming and jumping on people's furniture either! Rock on Sistah girl! I hear ya!
from treesssa :
YEAH!! For your boss!! About the dark circles... I hear that it can either be from heredity or an allergy to milk or milk products(or some other allergy). Maybe go get tested for allergies. My best friend had dark circles until she went and got tested. They are much better now.

Hi, i just starting reading your journal. I was reading the "Puppy Rage"entry and i cannot even express how much i totally agree with you! I have 2 beagle that are both a year old. One we got from a pet store, because she was the smallest and most pitiful looking thing you ever saw. She was a runt, no one wanted her. I had to take her home with me. I strongly believe that there should be 2 dogs, not just one, in a household. They need a buddy to play with, and they teach eachother. We adopted our 2nd beagle from a Beagle rescue shelter out of state. He was found, along with his brother and mother, wandering the streets of PA. I figured he was the same age as 'Fanny' and they can grow up together. He had been abused and abandoned. Since we have him now, he was very skiddish around my husband(he is terrified of men), but now that we have had him since the end of september, he has gotten a lot better. He is still a little jumpy, at loud noises and such, but he is finally realizing he is now part of a family that won't hurt him.How is it that people can treat dogs so horrible? I really can't understand it.Its heartbreaking really. If you read my journal, you will see that i complain about them alot with messing, chewing etc...But i wouldn't give these guys up for the world. You are right, they are just like babies. Right now we are having problems with them chewing and getting into things(like puppies do).I don't even want to imagine someone that cannot/will not have the patience. I always threaten to throw their butts outside and they can stay there for all i care, but i always end up letting them back inside after less than 30 minutes. I can't do that to them, they are babies. Now that i have written you a novel..LOL I just want to say i enjoy reading your journal.LOL Take care!

No corn mazes at night - yeah, I think I learned that the hard way! I was so tempted to go again this year but then I read back on my own entry. Ha!
from neko-carre :
(#$*^@! guestbooks!) Hi! Yep, so far so good, I think! Thanks for your note!
from madamepierce :
mmkay, i could NOT agree more regarding the women-and-food thing. I think it's this horrible mix of emotions that women feel when they see someone else eating something that THEY secretly want to eat but won't let themselves eat, or even admit to themselves that they want to eat. They feel jealous but at the same time superior. So the hot air and the cold air mix and it becomes a Bitchy Tornado.
