| As one who still notices when you update.........good to see you back! As for Laura and what you write in your diary about things, well, you're right on the money. You HAVE changed. When you wrote about Mary Beth that was based on fantasy, plus as you weren't dating, you had lots of time to dwell on the fact. Once you started dating Laura, it was a whole different ball-game. I'm sure you redirected your energies at telling her IN REAL LIFE just how pretty she is and how much she means to you. Fantasy is just that...fantasy, meaningless and a way to pass the time. We've all had them about someone, even Laura, I'm sure. You just happened to chronicle them whereas most of us just keep it inside or moan to our friends here and there. Laura gave you herself, in the flesh so to speak, and that is a hundred million times better than what you hoped for or imagined before. If you don't write about her here, then perhaps send her LOTS of little notes or emails telling her all of those things she wants to hear (but I'm sure you're already doing that??? Hint, hint...) Women are terminally insecure, as I'm sure you've figured out, no matter how pretty they are. You poor guys have to stay on your toes giving us the compliments, I'll admit that! How I'd never been caught in any compromising position (pure luck) and he once was, by his mom. Too funny. At least Laura's mom is cool about it, she didn't freak out that you mentioned. I'm glad everything is going well. I meant to comment on your other entry, re: MB, she sounds like a spoiled girl who may not have wanted you at the time, but now doesn't want anyone else to have you, either. | Woo Hoo! Read your diary first thing this morning, and good for you! Okay, don't fret about "how it's not gonna work". Bottom line is---if you both want it too, then it will. a) crossing the friend's ex line is a bit dodgy. If you are what you consider good friends, ie: you don't want to lose him (and think deep on this one) then you HAVE to discuss this with him. If you think he'll be hurt, well, I don't know. You know the situation, go with your gut instincts. B)who gives a shit what people will say? and that's that on number B. Also, the being apart issue, again, just go with it. Time will tell. And sheesh, talk about timing, just when you have to go home! But make sure you talk about all things with Laura, cause you don't want to lose her friendship, no matter what happens with you two.Good luck, have fun, I'm wishing you the best! |

| Hey Tom, I agree with you about having to get to know a person well before you can truly "fall" in love with them. I do think if you are friends for a time before realizing you're falling for each other, the relationship stands a better chance. I mean, friends see each other at their best and worst. People tend to hold off the worst to their partners til they feel they "have" them. "Friends first" is always a good motto, but those damn hormones always seem to get in the way! Have a great day. |
