Thanks for the tip on the posts!! You made a great point and I can't believe how well you do know me, cause you are SOOOOO right, I am a waffler and I will probably waffle up to the very end. Anyway, thanks for reading and checking in with me and offering advice, you knwo it means the world to me!
from nickyslilone :
I know! I feel exactly the same like I can't BELIEVE I'm almost in my second trimester! Yet for me, it seems that it's been going soooo slow. But at the same time, I think back and go wow, it hardly seems like last week when I found out I was pregnant. Strange! :)
from nickyslilone :
Nope, no more queasiness for the time being! Just the two times, two days apart. I'm not holding my breath though, it could still come in worse, in a week or so, or whatever :)
from nickyslilone :
thank you so much for your sweet message! It made me cry a bit, especially the part about when I hold my baby... that's what this is all about after all...
from nickyslilone :
thank you :)
from nickyslilone :
Thanks for the suggestion - I do have some clear blues (bought 20 of the cheapy ones and 2 clear blue) but I don't know if I want to use them since I'm not sure that I'm pregnant - and I think I might just be wasting them - I dunno, I'll see how I feel I guess!
from camham :
Thank you for the encouragement. You always know the right things to say. I hadn't even thought about it like that (that at this point it really IS about HER and how she responds to it WILL say a lot about who SHE is). So far, I have had no response and I am working on letting it go if that is the outcome. Like I said, initially, I had no expectations, but just wanted to be grateful for all that she IS (WAS!!) to me. Anyway...thanks for the note. It has offered me insight and reassurance. Heather
from bubbles11090 :
hi!! thanks for your sweet comment:) could i have your new addy?? [email protected] thanks!
from lowercaseg :
That is so cute about Bean and her hot cocoa! Thanks for your feedback and support! :)
from missspunk :
I really would consider getting her a toddler bed. This will help increase her independence and her ability to occupy her own time in the morning. Making clear to her she has to stay in her room and read or color or such activities like that. This might get you a few extra minutes of much needed rest.
from silverscorp :
Megan no sweetie its not about you. Honey never associate anything I say negative in my diary, to thinking its about you, ever! You are such an awesome person its so hard to even fathom sometimes a woman being so awesome like you. :)
from theflyingrat :
Oh and yes, that photo is of me... it's one of my 365 shots (I know, I need to update that diary!). My BIL wasn't up there - he had to leave for the day. He hasn;t been cleared by his therapist to even have supervised visits yet. Thank God! I am feeling much better lately.
from theflyingrat :
I wish something er... came with it, hahaha.
from theflyingrat :
Urinal cake... it's a thing that sits in a urinal (which gets PEED ON!!!) to keep it fresh in the bathroom or something. To control odor. Isn't that disgusting? I think I might have vomited if I'd been there, haha.
from tequilamonky :
That's lovely about Alex and her affection for your "girls". Just goes to show they remember so much :)
from lilpeanut80 :
Hey! I found a fun recipe for a universal quiche that can easily convert leftovers into a tasty quiche. Let me know if you are interested. I have made it twice now.
from startafresh :
Hello Megan, just updated my diary as you weren't the only one who indicated a certain issue but I don't think that is the case. Also the planned weekend didn't go ahead as one of his friends died suddenly but hopefully we'll be able to meet up next weekend instead. *This is why I don't like long distance things*
from wongbaby2be :
I can emphatize with what you are feeling concerning your dad.Right now,I am about to graduate and I am thinking about him again. Even though he abandoned my mom,and I have no idea where he is at..I am still thinking about him. He pushed me to graduated from undergrad. I guess any major event brings out these feelings. My dad is an alcoholic too. If you need anyone to talk to..or just a hug..I am here. Know it is not your fault concerning the behavior your dad brings forth. I can see you are a loving mother, wife and daughter. Never forget you are worthy of so many things that are beautiful in this life. All you can do is give your love.*hearts and prayers*
from jennifergwl :
Basically, those that don't have Gold membership get a nice message saying that because we don't have Gold membership, we won't be able to update our diaries because of the server issues they are having. They allow Gold members right now because there are very few of them and they are paying, so they deserve the right to have full use of the site. I agree, however the message says things would only be down for a couple hours. It's been days!!!! lol
from jennifergwl :
Do you have the Gold membership? If you do, then that is why you can write and no one else can. We've been shut down and there is no indication as to when we will have access again. I am not thrilled. Gold members still have access to write entries because they are paying. So, until they get the server up, we are down :(
from lowercaseg :
Hi Megan! It's Saturday! I hope you and your family are having a great vacation!
from bitterwineuk :
Hope you don't get sick lovely! Thank you so much for your comments at my other place. Of course, I understood what you meant. It's just a headache being stuck in the middle of it. Never thought I'd find myself in this position :) but we'll see what happens. Like I tell every man I meet, I am not looking for a new husband, just someone to let me be me for a while but bring out the best in me! Thank you again sweetie!
from jennifergwl :
awwww! SOOO stinky to be getting sick now. I hope it goes fast! The moment that kid threw up I would have been out the door lol
from jennifergwl :
That KidRock place, I SO wish we had that here for my little guy! He cannot and will not be without me!!
from for-riley :
Freeze dried corn comes in a package in the 'baby' section of the grocery store... I can't for the life of me think of the brand at the moment but I'm pretty sure it's Gerber. I guess because it's dry and crunchy he thinks it's more like a snack than a vegetable. I have been assured by the pediatrician that it's just as good as the real thing.
from missspunk :
Well one of the new host numbers could be me... SInce I moved I am at my mom's place so it could be her number you are seeing. Anyways hope you enjoyed your lunch. Oh and my fav cheese isn't really a cheese persay it is a cheese spread made with parmesean, cheddar and cream cheese and then baked in the oven till bubbly and you dip pumpernikle bread in it MMMMMMMMMMMMMM good of course it has seasonings. NOt sure if you ever heard of Epicure spices but OMG it is heavenly.
from silverscorp :
Oh and invite people! Especially people on here b/c you know we already probably have lots in common! Anyone can join, even guys if they want. There's a registration process b/c we don't want "guests" to be lurking and viewing personal information.
from silverscorp :
It's here: http://xsorbit28.com/users5/momslikeme/index.php All you do is register and activate your email and bam! You're on! Remember we just started it so we're working out the kinks and adding more categories and stuff. I really would love for you to be on it, especially b/c you are a very neutral person, and you have this calm personality. I could use you as a moderator!
from silverscorp :
Yeah I like my avatar too. I want to put it on my diary, but also on the message board. Which you should totally come join! I think you would have tons to relate too!Come on! Please!
from silverscorp :
Hey Megan. How do you get your yahoo avatar to show up on your diary. I notice it changes alot too. Does it do that automatically or are you doing that? In other words I wanna display my avatar on my page! Help please!
from lilpeanut80 :
I assume that the cysts are still there, though they haven't been causing me any pain. The tech said they were probably "functional cysts" that would "resolve themselves", which I guess that means they would kind of rupture but it would seem like a normal period. I heard it might be painful. But I have only had 3 periods since Jonas was born, so it might be a long time coming now with baby #2 in effect. I didn't want to write about all of that on my diary b/c I was afraid my mom would read it and find out too early about the pregnancy!
from mathero :
I'm writing again. I hope you'll check me out at my new address.. http://mhmlo.diaryland.com
from theflyingrat :
Haloscan says posting is temporarily disabled. And the comment I was going to leave was supposed to begin with "You can always count on me for a comment.." and haloscan was thinking "aha! that's what you think, you crazy fool!" But anyway.... Riley went straight from the blowing his nose on a tissue to (just recently) using his sleeve. The first time I saw him do that it was as though he was thinking, "Oh my! Why didn't Mama ever explain that a sleeve works just as well? It's much more convenient!" Then I had 'the talk' with him about how it spreads too many germs. He still does it when he thinks I'm not looking. Ewww.
from lowercaseg :
thanks for your note, Megan! i did delete the entry because afterward, John opened up about some things that really made me see the entire situation in a new way. I wish men did that more often. They think WE are confusing for saying too much, but they are really more confusing because they say too little! At least in the feelings department! Plus I mentioned to my mom that I started throwing things (my dad had a bad violent temper and often broke things like chairs and telephones by way of throwing). And she mentioned it to my dad, and he said all John would have to do is call the police on me, and they'd take me away. That REALLY hurt my feelings - that my dad would say something like that when I was coming to them for SUPPORT, so I thought I'd better delete that entry just in case other diaryland people thought the same way as he did! Thanks for your support!
from theflyingrat :
Aaah. I wondered if that's what happened. Good thing you noticed.
from theflyingrat :
Hey did you delete an entry here? Just curious. :)
from camham :
I should take a multi but I don't. I agree my body has had to make adapt to a lot of changes and I could stand to eat a bit more healthily. I will talk to the doctor tomorrow and get more information. I wonder how low is low and if my count is actually low enough to feel any effects from it. It is interesting that's for sure. Heather
from theflyingrat :
I am.. I can't stand having long fingernails. They drive me nuts - I can't write or type or ANYTHING when I have any length to them. I should have been a boy. I would have made a nice boy. Except I like boys. You know? :)
from jenn365days :
I don't bite my nails. I used to - when I was younger. ??
from bitterwineuk :
I thought you had my diary stuff. Had it going since last Summer but only locked it after xmas. startafresh.diaryland.com somethings/neverchange Becca
from theflyingrat :
I just put his diaper on around the same time each day (just after lunch). He goes almost automatically if he has a diaper on. If he doesn't have a diaper then he won't go at all.
from lilpeanut80 :
Eureka! I found it! "Fifth Disease"! (don't worry, common childhood illness). http://www.keepkidshealthy.com/welcome/infectionsguide/fifthdisease.html It says that it looks worse if the kid gets overheated or after they take a bath. She isn't contagious now, only before the rash appeared. I bet that's it. I seem to remember my mom talking about me having that as a toddler as well.
from lilpeanut80 :
Haloscan isn't working right now... First I was going to say "HEY, someone in our playgroup as chicken pox too!" But then I read your addendum and I remembered about a year ago, Jonas had a similar thing to what you described with Alex. I thought it was c.pox at first too, but then it turned smaller and more rashy. I didn't quite know what to do; it's kind of a big deal to drive 2 hours to the hospital in another country, so I waited and tried to read stuff online. He seemed to FEEL fine, like you said. I don't think he had any kind of fever or anything. I just put baby powder all over him (hey, works for heat rash?)b/c I didn't know what to do. But i think within 3 or 4 days it was gone. I still don't know what that was. So unless she continues to swell or has other symptoms like a fever, maybe it is just "one of those things". Have you googled something like "toddler rash"? or something?
from lilpeanut80 :
Bless you for thinking the best...but alas, the reason for dining table invisibility is THE CLUTTER! THE CLUTTER!
from lowercaseg :
Glad I wasn't alone with that thought! There are just too many woooonderful aspects of being parents, aren't there?
from missspunk :
Well I kind of thought of this when I read how it is get COLD there and even colder. Perhaps "Bean" is wanting her diaper because it helps keep her warm. It's just an idea perhaps she feels cold without it, and since you said it is really cold there and getting colder perhaps this is why she wants it. I don't know just my thought.
from camham :
That's funny. When I took the pill, I was a basket case. The same thing happened to my friend. I am glad it works for you. I just try to exercise more and drink less caffeine, you know? Heather
from lowercaseg :
Thanks for your comment! All I do for the shirts/etc. (and I'm no PRO!!) is this: I just use regular felt, then cut out the shapes/letters. And then I just use regular thread, double it for strength, and stitch (by hand, you could use a machine, but I don't know how!) away! The rainbow shirt has started to fall apart after washing it several times, but that was a lot more detailed than everything else I've done. For Johnna's birthday, I'm going to make a shirt with a big "1" on it! :) Take care!
from lilpeanut80 :
Citizenship wasn't an issue. We had planned on leaving our current employer but thought it would be easier to find other work in Laos. So far we haven't found anything...so that is why we are taking "a break" next year. But I am excited to have my baby near the grandparents! I can't wait for a family Christmas! IT has been a long time.
from camham :
Where's Megan and Alex? Come out, come out, wherever you are:)
from lowercaseg :
Don't worry! :) Things have been pretty quiet around here. But I will have an update soon, maybe later today. Thanks for the concern - it feels weird to have not written in so long!
from theflyingrat :
Sure I'll come help out for the first six weeks as long as you're the one on night duty! :) I'm sure if I wrote *every* thought down that I have then you might not find the idea of another baby so hard to resist! :)
from theflyingrat :
I wish you could hold her too! ;)
from lilpeanut80 :
I looked at our Aquadoodle thing and it is called Aquadoodle Licensed Mini Mat Sesame Street Picnic Time They also have Elmo ones. Like I said ours was from the ABC catalog, I think it was like 6 bucks and some shipping.
from theflyingrat :
It's funny you said that about the pjs because I actually asked my mother where she bought them because I loooove monkeys. And pajamas. And monkeys on pajamas. Ha. ♥
from missspunk :
Good luck with your party.....Ours is Friday and I have to work nights tonight....I will want to die tomorrow. Most of my prep work is done just need to put the finishing touches on and we are set to go. I will come home early tomorrow sleep for a couple hours get up and set up my stuff. Hope you have fun with your party.
from mamabean :
Not quite perfect, as I am up at 2:30 am being nervous about it all and not sleeping! :) I can't wait to hear how you decide to spell your new little one's name. I love new spellings for the classic names... just slight variations that make the name unique. Good idea! And I think you are being to hard on yourself with regard to documenting and anticipating this baby... things are so different when you already have a little one to care for. The new child will get more than her share in a few months, so Riley should get extra time now, I think! They will both be so lucky to be close in age... you're doing right by both of them, so just relax and enjoy!
from bubbles11090 :
Your tree looks so wonderful, and your pictures of Alex are just soooo cute!!!! You seem like the vision of a perfect wife and mother....baking millions of cookies, hosting Christmas parties, and being a Mommy:) Hope your party turns out great!
from camham :
"Turkey, Turkey, Turkey"... No really, yes it is fun to think of having another bambino. Yummy, yes! Okay. Heather
from camham :
Megan, Your notes always bring a smile to my face! You are so cute. Thank you for the well wishes and thank you for being you! Heather
from lerin :
I did, I did! :) I am thinking that Miss Aislyn has made her debut by now. You remember her entry talking about trying to get labor started... hehe. It must have worked! I simply can't wait to hear all about her birth and see her pictures.
from lilpeanut80 :
I haven't ordered my VITAMIX 5000 yet b/c there was a difficulty with the shipping to Thailand being over $100! (it is free in the states!) So we are trying to see if a friend with parents comming to visit Laos soon will agree to have them bring it. If not I will have to wait until I go to my brother's wedding in March :(. I think the "travel bag" is a misnomer because the thing probably weighs over 20lbs. Not exactly "portable". Seems like a gimmic. ;)
from tequilamonky :
Thank you so much for your lovely note. I know you felt the same as me about how it didn't work out for us breastfeeding our daughters so I feel like I'm doing this for you too :) Thank you so much for the support
from tequilamonky :
Ooh sorry hon I totally forgot to tell you the oven temp! Basically you want the oven as hot as it will go! You have to keep an eye on it whilst it's in there and kep turning it so it doesn't burn. Hope that helps and that you enjoy it!
from button2006 :
Just for you... I uploaded the 37 weeks picture, haha. And I forgot to say that yes that was your shirt in the 34 weeks one. Also - you're right about me saying "She isn't coming" as reverse psychology. Really, what I mean is that I HOPE she doesn't come early, haha. I would like it to be AFTER Halloween at least! :)
from bitterwineuk :
What do you think I am Megan!!!!? LOL. I am not THAT bad, we made sure that side of it was over early as he'd been on earlies at work. ;) I just cannot sleep at night for some reason but got some advice from my GP today so hopefully tonight will be better for me.
from bitterwineuk :
Thanks for your messages at my other diary earlier, I was a little vague on the second entry as I was cooking dinner. They did say I should recieve more information by letter on Monday or Tuesday so I will have more to say then I suppose. Thanks for being so supportive. *BIG HUGS TO LOVELY MEGAN!!* Becca
from missspunk :
I can't believe you have snow....I want to cry. And no it's not cause I want some. I'm WAYYYYY up north and I am praying it doesn't snow for a few more weeks. Our winters are so long drab and cold I am SOOOOO not looking forward to it. I suffer seasonal depression, last year it didn't hit me to bad but this year with all the stress of my family life it's hitting and hoping the snow holds off until I get through this bump. Anyways glad your happy about your snow.
from bodega :
It's hard trust strangers with our children... I don't... I'll admit it. But I will have to someday if I ever play on going back to work.
from theflyingrat :
Your comments were gone so here I am. :) Riley is that way too. He tends to avoid (or just sit back and watch) kids his own age but older kids or adults he loves to follow around and watch. I agree that it's probably just because it's what Alex is used to. ... I feel that way about the shows that Riley watches. All kids shows are SO repetitive, even Sesame Street. It gets to the point where I know what big birds going to say next and I end up quoting from it! Haha. And I haven't seen Studio 60 but YOUR little "mucky" is absolutely adorable! ♥
from lerin :
I sent my password to you at 9:00 this evening. Let me know if you didn't receive it!
from emaciana :
you guys are so cute making pretzels. and of course eating them!
from mymemry :
I know this sounds silly - but I see a bit of Alex as a baby in Ava. I've been looking at growing up Bean and there are several pictures that remind me of Ava now.
from lerin :
I've really enjoyed your last picture-filled entries. The kids look like they're having SO much fun together!
from button2006 :
Aww, thank you. :) I feel like such a GIRL right now, haha. It was so weird, I'm sitting here reading YOUR entry and then I got a note from you. I must go finish! :)
from lerin :
I'm so glad it turned out well. And Alex pointing to her face, "I cwying..." that was TOO MUCH! :)
from lerin :
Oh no! Sennding heaping doses of perseverance and patience your way. She'll get thorugh this with your help, even if you want to scream in frustration a few times along the way!
from lerin :
The pictures of Alex always make my day!! I hope that your doctor is able to quickly and correctly diagnose and treat you!
from for-riley :
It's a craft store called AC Moore. (I'm not sure how far that chain goes.) I have never seen alphabet cookie cutters before so I called them before I went and they said they had some. They were actually $10 (still not bad) but I had a 40% coupon. Yay! :) I did see that a bunch of people were selling alphabet cutters on eBay but I am waaay too impatient to wait for auctions to end most of the time.
from lowercaseg :
aww, cute! Thanks! :) I'll have some updates soon, I'm sure. I'm really looking forward to pictures of your cute little daughter!
from camham :
Thank you, Megan, for the kind words. Your support always means so much to me. I really think of you as the most level-headed lady who has it all together. You're probably thinkng, "Oh, if she only knew," right? Anyhow, I do, and I appreciate you always taking the time to cheer me up. Heather
from bitterwineuk :
I haven't read it but I was just reading up on it. I must have a look. :) Thanks for the reccommendation.
from lerin :
Oh, and no real "reason" to suspect. Just that we decided to throw caution to the wind and go for baby number three!! I guess this is the first time we've 'not tried to avoid it' for months, so I'm prematurely excited. I don't know when/if we'll 'actively' try, but I think we are ready for Ben or Lily to joing the family next year. :)
from lerin :
This little transcript will be an absolute treasure to you as she continues growing up... how I love your little family!!!
from lerin :
I love the new house! And I have so missed my daily dose of Bean.
from lowercaseg :
adorable pictures! and your new house is beautiful!
from camham :
Megan, thank you for the "yay". You always make me feel great and loved (in a cyberlove kind of way:) And, what about you sending me notes and not updating your diary. Huh? Get cracking, girle girl! Need more pics of Ms. Cutie Patutie! Thanks again for the cheers. Heather
from nikinicole :
Hi! It's Niki. I went to send you a message, went to sign up, and now I've decided that I could have probably signed your guestbook without going through all of that. Anyway, if I have to sign in to my own diary to get a message from you, I may never get it. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I visited. I LOVED hearing about little precious baby. I can't believe she is doing all of that stuff already. It seems like yesterday, when we were first introduced at the hospital. Anyway, talk to you soon. Love Ya!! Niki
from lowercaseg :
thanks for your nice note! I agree -- it is something else to be a mother! I never thought there could be such a strong feeling. :)
from bitterwineuk :
thanks for your note at my other diary, i feel at peace knowing deep down that this time it's for good and the only way to be. i was not a happy soul back then but already, in just 2 weeks, i feel like the old me again. back to someone full of optimism and hope and ready to face the world alone. thanks for your on-going support, it means alot. so hopefully, things will begin to change in a good way. glad the move went ok, sounds a lovely place. Becca x.x.x.x.x
from theflyingrat :
Did I saw WHY I said no to Lorelei before? I can't remember. Haha. That's my memory for you. AND another reason why it's so hard to find a name - one month I'll like something and the next I won't and vice versa. Sheesh. Maybe I should just leave the naming to you, haha. The middle name's got to be Marie Elizabeth or Elizabeth Marie though, if it's a girl. Adam if it's a boy. So name away. Take a little pressure off me. :)
from theflyingrat :
Kent and I both actually like the name Lorelei. :) So it's a possibility. We can't really agree on many others so.
from camham :
Megan, The twins belong to my cousin (my mother's brother's daughter). It is wierd because she has so many of my mom's genes, although she was not raised around our family. She got the gap in between her front teeth (as do ALL of her babies), she got the unfortunate "fat" in the hips and stomach genes, and she looks just like my mom's mom it is scarey. As I looked at the twins (especialy Josie, the one you pointed out), I saw Camden in them so much! Funny, huh? It is such a blessing because we never really got to grow up together and when I got pregnant, we just connected. We have alwasy been close when we ARE together, but this time in our lives, watching our babies grow togther and getting to know each other as adults, has been so wonderful. Heather
from lilpeanut80 :
Don't worry, I don't hate you because your progeny is beautiful. I'm just amazed, that's all! Hopefully in Chicago you can embark on her modeling career. mmmhmm.
from theflyingrat :
Oh she was just talking everything through (it was the transvaginal ultrasound) for the intern person. Saying where to put the "probe" and all this other interesting stuff. Of course on the video you can only hear bits of what she says so all you can tell is that she's speaking about vaginas and probes. It's really quite funny. The baby's going to love this one when he/she is older. :)
from lowercaseg :
thanks for all the advice and encouragement - I hope everything goes well with the house stuff. I'll miss your writing and adorable pictures and will be looking forward to your return! :)
from for-riley :
I just got caught up on notes. The bandaids really do work wonders. Riley now thinks it's lovely when he gets a minor scratch because he gets a BAMBAID. :) And daddies really are tough on schedules... when Kent's routine is off, EVERYONE has an off day. Yeurgh. ♥
from mom-on-roof :
Thanks, doll, you have warmed my heart this day, good timing...
from bodega :
haha!! Thanks for the tip. It's fixed.
from bodega :
I don't know why that last line stretched... any suggestions?
from bodega :
Yes, we are planning on putting a full basement, just not finish it right away. Glad you enjoyed the pics!!! So when are you guys planning on having another babe?
from ishouldcry :
hiya, I hope you didn't mind me emailing you. I don't know if you read this diary but thought that as you read bitterwineuk and often leave notes/comments, I would pass on the details now I have locked up, everyone else has requested but I noticed you havent updated for a few days and may not have seen my warning message. Feel free to drop in any time. Becca
from lowercaseg :
Thanks for your note! I will update as soon as I can when the big day finally comes!! (well, maybe not on the exact same day, but you know what I mean!) :) Take care - hope you're having a nice weekend!
from for-riley :
Have a good night! And a great weekend! ♥
from for-riley :
posted! ;)
from for-riley :
Aww, don't kids say the cutest things! I bet "elmo" sounds so sweet coming out of her mouth, even as an ending to a prayer! :) Kent had to go to bed early so I told him I'd wait to update Ri's diary. I'm actually writing it right now, I should be posting it soon! Yeah, the cramps are gone now. They were gone just as I wrote that entry, actually. I have to keep reminding myself that I had them when I was pregnant with Riley too. Sometimes I worry too much!
from for-riley :
Oh lord woman, you are so funny! I was actually laughing out loud when I read that note and Kent was giving me the wiggly eyebrows. You know the, "What in the world are you doing over there?" eyebrows. Hee!
from theflyingrat :
Riley has better concentration than I do, I think! He doesn't exactly do the same thing the whole time, he just plays with the same things. Does that even make sense? Sometimes he would drive the bears over and I would have to talk to each of them. Then he would take them to look out the window. It was just that whatever he did, he took the little bears with him. Hahah. I am pretty lucky that he plays so well by himself most of the time. ♥
from bodega :
I just finally got to reading your birth story and I loved it!! I wish I would have done that with my kids... oh well, I'll live it through others stories!! Alex is really a doll...
from bitterwineuk :
wow, that sounded fantastic. Sounds like you had a great time. Becca
from busymomof2 :
Just wanted to drop by and say hello! Hope you are having a wonderful week.
from thehour :
do you have a flickr account? if you do, let me know what it is or add me as a friend! :)
from bodega :
Thanks Megan!! Jenn really did a good job... now I need to learn how to change the pictures if I want to put different ones. Have a good night!!
from camham :
Yes, already!! That bugger. Why me? Oh, why me? Please ask anyone you know. I still have him in his crib, but am not getting an ounce of sleep since I am on pins and needles. Ugh. He is TOO young to be doing this, that stinker! Thanks, Megan! Heather
from bitterwineuk :
awwww, bless her. Jabs are horrible things but Matthew was quite good with it. Funny how quick they recover though isn't it? Matthew even gave the nurse who gave him his mmr a kiss so he doesn't hol grudges and I love it when they ask for something in specific. How can any mum resist? Becca
from xx-angel-xx :
Thank you for your lovely note! I will be coming back to read your diary, if you don't mind! :)

Thank you for your kind words. Yes I will get to see the baby. As of right now they are still together. Aren't girls so cute with their babies. Aryana just loves her babies, at naptime and bedtime she makes both her father and I give her baby kisses as well. Ary loved her stroller but she kept trying to sit in it and ended up breaking it within the first few days of having it. I am going to have to buy her another one but better quality.

from busymomof2 :
My first name is Brianna.. I will be adding photos soon of my husband and I. I will defiantly add my birth stories but I would need to find time to do that. And as mothers we know that doesn't come to often. But I will try to make time.
from bitterwineuk :
it's amazing how they change in a year isn't it. :)
from busymomof2 :
Awww Thank you so much. I think they are pretty special myself. I am glad you and Alex had fun at playgroup. I looked into one of those in my area a couple months back, they were offering a family package but I never went any further then that. I bet it would be a wonderful experience. Have a great day and again thank you..
from theflyingrat :
Awww, you're welcome! :)
from theflyingrat :
You need to change the part of the haloscan code in parentheses from (%%page_name%%) - or whatever is in there - to (%%date%%%%time%%) and then it will work with anything. You mentioned it once in your other diary and I left a comment on how to change it. You must have missed it? I hope that helps! You can always e-mail me if you need more help. ♥
from lowercaseg :
sorry to hear about your kitty. it is so hard to loose a pet. i'm sure he IS in heaven.
from lowercaseg :
aww, it's hard when the hubby is away, isn't it? :(
from lowercaseg :
such cute stories about your daughter - i am so looking forward to experiencing all of these things!! It must be an amazing feeling! Have a nice weekend.
from bodega :
Little Alex is really a doll!! Her baptism seemed like a wonderful affair. I know that I always got emotional when my children get baptised. Logan was baptised the weekend after Thanksgiving this year...it was important to me to get him baptised as soon as possible with all of his health issues and all. Keep posting about your angel... she's sweet!!
from for-riley :
You know last night I almost didn't post. I was tired so I figured I'd wait and finish it today. Then I thought of you and was afraid you'd be worried so I finished it up and posted it. I always worry when other people don't post when I expect them to, too. :) You're such a great friend, thank yo. ♥Jenn (01-12-06)
from bitterwineuk :
Thank you for replying to me over the breastfeeding issue. There IS far too much pressure on new mums and if it is difficult like it was for me people can be quite nasty. I stayed in hospital 2 nights after my son was born and the 2nd night he would not feed at all. He cried all night and I cried too with exhaustion and feeling useless. I spoke to a nurse on the ward who was far from understanding and she just said I should keep trying as other mums can manage. I felt lower than anything. I felt so much worse as I did not get any support or encouragement and made to feel inferior. 3 hours later, I checked myself out of hospital. I still tried to breast feed but by 1am the following morning my mum drove to the supermarket to get me some formula milk. Matthew drank and drank for ages as he had not been getting enough nourishment. It was a huge relief for both of us and I would not hesitate in using it again in future. It made us a happy mother and son. So I only breast fed for the hardest 3 days of my new mum life and I have never regretted bottle feeding my little man. I have posted new pics if you are interested. Becca. :)
from for-riley :
I'm not sure why we stopped watching super nanny... I think they changed the night or something? And we DID notice that she says "unasseptable" hahah. Kent and I would always be saying that and eventually I started slipping up and saying it when I didn't mean to, hehe. I always feel guilty when I admit I watch some reality tv, I don't know why! Is super nanny even on anymore? Anyway, hugs to you and Alex! ♥
from lowercaseg :
hi mamabean ~ thank you for your note. it is fine with me if you'd like to add me as a favorite. i've spent a little time looking at your diary. i like it a lot! you have a very beautiful family!! alex is so adorable. i will stop back later to read some more. take care. :)
from missspunk :
Hey there....Thanks for your most awsome note, Yes definately give your friend the link to my diary. If she needs or wants to talk or has any questions she can leave a note, email me whatever I am more than willing to talk to her about all this if she wants or needs it. Thanks for reading and I will be sure to read your diary as well.
from mathero :
Have a wonderful Holiday season!
from theflyingrat :
Thank you. Once again I feel all put in my place. :) (In a good way.) I know that I have a lot of good things in my life and even if I DON'T have any more children I still have Riley. And if he's not the best little guy in the world, then I may just have to chew my own foot off. Thank you. I think people seem more real on here too. Maybe because there's less pressure? If you don't like something someone has to say you can just close the window and move on instead of having to face them. Anyway, thanks again. I ♥ ya. -Jenn 12/23/05
from hertinyhands :
Yes, I am definitely saying she is cuter than just baby-cute. I mean, she is amazingly gorgeous. I just thought you should know! :)
from bubbles11090 :
Thank you so much for your note. I was so upset last night when I went to bed, and to find your note in the morning made me feel a lot better. :)
from theflyingrat :
Thanks for the note on Ri's journal. I never expected anyone to actually read it, to be honest. All our kids are growing up too fast, aren't they? *sniffle* I hope you're feeling better. I was worried about you! ♥
from lilpeanut80 :
p.s, I call my son "jo jo bean" and my husband has taken to call me 'mamabean' too. I guess he is papa bean. Maybe we should make a cartoon.
from lilpeanut80 :
hi there! our babies are about the same age and I am a southerner too. I'm going to put you on my 'reading list' :o).
from camham :
Megan, Thank you for the birthday wishes. My birthday was on the 22nd an I turned 29. My day started out horribly with ryan and I discussing the possibility of separating (I know you could never have told from my entry). It is a long story, but one that i am really trying to move on from. I am sure that I will write about it soon. Anyhow, the fact is that marriage is hard work and you just have to keep at it...provided there isn't any abuse or unfaithfulness and there is still a good amount of love! So, yes, life is good this week and I am happy about that. We needed some good news to help see the light at the end of our tunnel. Heather
from thaichic :
Megan you're always welcome. Seriously I think the world of you and can only wish I actually could physically be around you because I just know we would have such great conversations.
from ebombmom :
Happy 1st Birthday to the beautiful Bean! I should tell you that I absolutely love reading your journal - your family is just so lovely and happy and it does my heart good. :)
from tequilamonky :
Hiya! Okay on audioblog you need to go to the blogs section and "add new weblog" Then under blog service provider choose "HTML" only this means that it will give you the html code to post in your diary. Once you've added your blog, go to your videos, choose the one you want and select "publish video" it will ask which blog you want to publish to, so choose the one you've added and it will give you the html code. If you manage all that get back to me and I'll tell you how to change the code so it opens in a new window if you like. One thing at a time though eh?! Any questions just ask, I hope that makes sense! 'm going away for a few days now but will get back to you asap.
from theflyingrat :
Haven't heard from you in awhile, are you okay? Happy Birthday to Alex, I can't believe she's one already! ♥
from theflyingrat :
You're an angel. ♥
from busymomof2 :
Your daughter is the cutest thing.. She has such pretty hair. My children are byracialand my daughter has the craziest hair, and I am not educated enough on how to take care of her hair. My husbands family gives me some ok ideas but none of them have worked.. Any ideas??
from camham :
Thank you,Megan. You always have the right words to say. Heather
from theflyingrat :
I'm alive!! I haven't heard from Kate, though. Not since the day before yesterday. However, she must be okay because her sister (purplesage26) updated and she would have said if anything happened! I was only slacking on the Riley update (I'm writing it now!) because I got sidetracked by "My Name Is Earl" and "The Office" - I don't usually watch tv but I really like those 2 shows. Anyway. I'm here now! :) ♥
from camham :
Thank you. I think I am going to try the check on him, leave him be thing and see what happens. I know he isn't hungry, so... Thanks again!Heather
from theflyingrat :
You're too funny. I ♥ your notes! You always make me smile. I do think Mr. Rogers is a bit creepy. Kent loves that show, though. He's always letting Riley sneak to watch it when he thinks I'm not paying attention, haha. And I miss Jim Henson too. Kermit just isn't the same anymore... ♥
from aliboomboom :
I forgot your user info for the other diary. Can I have it again, please? Also I have seen the Biltmore at Christmas, it's beautiful. I think the last time I went it was around that time. I haven't been in years, always want to go and then never do. I'm glad we are doing the tour because I thought we were just going to the winery but it's the same price to do it all, why not? Asheville's a great little city, I love it. I can't wait to get there.
from aliboomboom :
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I hope it was wonderful!!
from aliboomboom :
My degree is in Business with a minor in Sociology. I was in teaching and then nursing and then...I switched so many times that eventually I just wanted to graduate!! I should have stuck with teaching or nursing. Oh well, I'd make less money teaching than I do now and that would suck and nursing would be idea but I really don't want to go back to school for science and math classes. Yikes. What did you do before you had Alex?
from theflyingrat :
4 of my 'celebrity crushes' are actually people from bands. That could be why you don't know who they are. :)
from camham :
My hair sprouts are standing on end too. The other day my friend was sitting behind me in class and she said that it looked like I had a mohawk in front. Ha Ha! They are getting longer though. Anyhow, I understand how it just be to be older and not feel like you have as much time left to decide what to do. I feel that way now and I am only 28 (well, on Oct.22nd). I would love to have 3 children, but that is a lot of kiddies and I don't know when I can find the time to do it. In the end, I guess it comes down to what would be most important to me when I am older...that I had a career, a nice home, etc., or that I had three fab childrent that I got to raise and see grow up. Wait, I already have one Fab child, so, what am I saying? No, you know what I mean. The time that I would spen raising them would most definitely be worth it in the end! UJgh, this is truly a tough decision that involves planning, no matter what anyone says. Heather
from theflyingrat :
I love crafts actually. I don't talk about it too much because I feel like a big geek but as long as drawing isn't involved I can hold my own, haha. I can even knit, sew and crochet but shhh. I don't want to wreck the tough bitch imagine I strive for. Hahah. But I do spend most of my time in the scrapbook section. I can't wait until Riley is old enough to do craft projects with. We tried to make Christmas ornament with him last year but he just wanted to eat the dough. Hehe. ♥
from for-riley :
No, you didn't miss the birthday. It's actually not until October 30th. My MIL just loves to spoil him, she sends him gifts every couple of months because she doesn't get to see him much. :) I can't wait until Alex starts saying funny things. I'm sure she'll come up with some doozies! ♥
from aliboomboom :
Yes, I love that outfit. He's about to outgrow it though. I found a long sleeved pant Polo romper on Ebay though and its' orange and white and so cute. I'm tempted to buy it evne though I shouldn't. It would be adorable on football Saturdays. I never knew that you were a Clemson fan. We don't play them in the normal season so I guess I'll allow it. ;) Clemson stuff is cute though, I saw a ton of it when I was in South Carolina. I don't know why. Also the new teens on Days of Our Lives are Abbie, Chelsea (aka Georgia), Will, and so on. I'm so sure that Lucas and Sami are old enough to have a teenager. How long do you think it'll be before Zach (Bo and Hope's), Theo (Lexi and Abe's) and all those new babies grow up? Three years? Hilarious.
from for-riley :
I am thrilled! :) I love notes & comments. ♥
from underthegaze :
Thanks for your note! I did have symptoms - swollen ankles, headaches, high blood pressure and a general feeling of tiredness and that's why I had my blood tested. And so I'm very surprised that it turned out to be my liver. I hope it's nothing - I'm just a little worried about taking so much time off work - we're going nuts at the moment!
from mathero :
She's a little bundle of joy. She loves having her picture taken. uh oh. haha. Mia is the same way. She's quite the camera hog.
from nicolerenee :
Aww, you are jealous that I'm pregnant? How sweet! lol :) Before I got pregnant with Keaghan I had missed being pregnant, but now it's like living on chocolate for 2 years-it's ok at first, but after a while, it just stinks! And as far as the anticipation for this time around? Mmm, with Kyra I was very young and really afraid. So I was happy that she stayed in there. With Keaghan I was SO looking forward to her because our lives were finally on the right track, and she was a planned prenancy-so that made it A LOT less stressful. And with this one, I feel like he should have come out ages ago. We have really nothing ready for him yet, but I figured you know what, I just did this a year ago, lets just do it again while I still have the energy!! Thanks so much for your note, and I haven't been able to really dive into your journal just yet. But your little Alex is just adorable! You have such a cute family, too. xoxo ♥
from mathero :
Oh no! You've said nothing to upset or offend me at all. I've just been so behind on everyone's diary. I don't get much time during the week with work and the girls and such. But I hope you and the little one are doing just fine. Thanks for leaving me a note. It really means a lot to me. ♥
from camham :
Still sleeping. I have checked on him a couple of times. He looks content. Heather
from bubbles11090 :
Hi! Thank you so much for your note. It instantly made me feel better to know that someone else is going through what I am going through and what I am feeling. You are so sweet:) Thanks again:)
from theflyingrat :
I didn't actual do that Riley photo on photoshop. All I had to do was crop it. It looks like I had to cut out his head but that is just how it looked in the photo because it was a B&W and he had on dark clothes. Thanks for your kind note. You're too sweet. ♥
from mymemry :
Glad you found the little people. They are machine washable. I think Nathan left a bit of food for Alex on one of them. Not like spit up food, but like he shoved one of them in his mouth right after I shoved a spoonful of something in his mouth. I know he did that with one of the set - I don't seem to have it, so it MUST be one of yalls. We are SO glad yall like them. Nathan has started kind of flipping them - maybe the precursor to throwing them? I hope your Saturday morning is going well. Thinking about you, your sweet family and Sandra!!
from theflyingrat :
Thanks for the kind note at Ri's diary. But if you'd seen me taking that splinter out, you probably wouldn't have been as proud. :) I was trying desperately not to cry the whole time! It was actually his second splinter though. His first one he got in his foot and it was still partially sticking out so it was easy (plus he couldn't see what I was doing that time either!). I think you're doing a fabulous job with Alex and you'll be able to handle everything that being her mother brings. Even splinters! ♥
from tequilamonky :
All unlocked now! You'll see why I did it when you go and look! ;)
from nicolerenee :
Actually, for some odd reason I haven't discussed it with my OB yet. And yes, it's the same one as with Keaghan, so atleast she will know the history. And honestly, if I ended up having a C-Section, I would be devastated. I have had two wonderful vaginal deliveries and DO NOT want a CS. Thanks so much for your note, my next appointment is next thursday, and I'm going to TRY and remember to tell her. Pregnancy just sucks away all of my memory! xoxo ♥
from nicolerenee :
Of course it is fine! You will be added to mine as well. It's nice to meet other Christians here, as we are so few! Hope to chat with you some more, and in the next few days I will learn more about you thorough your diary. Take care! xoxo ♥
from camham :
Megan, it was fun watching him fall asleep. Cute! He woke up at 12:00 and I took him to my bed. I will have to take this in stages, you know? Heather
from camham :
Megan, i am so enjoying your Al story and your new diary. It is definitly a side of you that I haven't heard from completely yet. I like it. It feels good to unload here doesn't it? I know I do it a lot. Especially lately. We seem to be on the same "ugh" page these days. You are one very beautiful lady though. Heather
from bubbles11090 :
Hey!! I just saw your family portraits, and they are so great! You have a beautiful family:)
from hunterpoo :
I love Jewel! Well at least the old Jewel. haha. I've listened to her forever, and got her poetry book "A night without armor" quite awhile back. I listen to everything woman! You'd probably be surprised at some of the other things haha, I pretty much like everything except rap and hip hop, even though there are even exceptions there. Thanks for the new info, I deleted it from my notes just in case you didn't want it there for others to find.
from hunterpoo :
I got sucked into that lady's website. I love LOVE love her stuff!! I may order a blankie for Hunter's cousin thats on the way. Does she give discounts for your next order if I tell her you sent me? Just wondering hehe. OH YEA, there's ALOT of things I can't do, for example.. I can't cook for crap. hahah.
from hunterpoo :
DAH! I think you did ask where the babyshower was, but I most likely forgot to write back. hhaha. It's out at Angie's ranch. The weather should be ok, it's been coolin off a lil. And there's lot of shade out there. I've decided not to do anything too fancy, she couldn't even come to Hunter's bday party for 5 minutes, and she expects so much from everyone else. hmmm.
from hunterpoo :
Yea, the pictures in my flickr account are all mine, so of course you can use the row of flowers if you want! Haha, I think it is the grass is greener thing. (but I still think girl's have cuter and more stuff!) hhaha.
from hunterpoo :
hahaha!! I wondered if anyone would notice that!! I had his hair up in a lil ponytail haha. I've been getting asked alot lately if he's a girl. hahaha. Mom's job is going good, think she just likes getting out of the house. Are you feeling better? I hope so!!
from bubbles11090 :
Hey!! I loved the cake and all the pictures:) You and Alex look so cute:)
from mathero :
Just wanted to let you know I'm adding you. Alex is gorgeous!
from camham :
I agree...very pricey. I don't think I will be investing in it either. I use the pak-n-play for times when I need to leave him alone too (which isn't often). I don't think he would get much out of the "baby den". He would probably hate it, but check this out... this would be cool for any kid.http://www.kiddicare.com/invt/accbbdpakiddolb&temp=largeimage&layout=popups
from camham :
Megan, I found the den here in the US. The website is http://www.babyuniverse.com/pro.asp?store=baby&lang=&id=17735&catid=15 I'm still not sure if I am going to invest in it. I don't know if Camden wouldl ike being "locked up," but it would be a great place to have his toys in one area and so forth...rather than scattered all over the living room floor. Would he want to stay in there though is the question. It is comparable to a pack-n-play, in travel ease,etc...but does not have the added bonus of him being able to sleep in it. Hmmmm? I just don't know. Hubby says he doesn't think Cam would like it. My mom says to go for it. She has a hard time keeping up with the little tike on the floor. It also seems to be a safer place for him to practice walking.
from hertinyhands :
I remember my little girl's first dive into pet food... I was so horrified!!! It is so amazing to watch them grow up day by day. Bittersweet, but amazing.
from camham :
Megan, I looked up Baby Den's and only found them on UK websites. I will have to do more research for finding it here in the states. I still am not sure if he would appreciate the "space confinement", but they have this awesome "tent" thing that can go around and over it which would make for the coolest fort for any kid! I am really considering it. When he starts walking though I don't know if he'll like being in there. Is it worth the financial investment? Then again, I can use the gates to put over our fireplace and some doorways according to the instructions. I need to make a decision soom in order to get the most use for our money!
from aliboomboom :
I really don't know why I can exert no control over what I eat. I didn't even start gaining weight till I was about 20 or 21 up until then I was less than 120 pounds so this weight thing kills me. I am just so upset with myself. I guess it could have something to do with working but then again I mean most women work and they don't have weight problems or okay so a lot of women do have weight problems but you know what I mean. Maybe its' because my job is boring. I don't know. I think if I stayed home I would eat more because I start eating the second I walk into the house. It's ridiculous and gross. If I want to be skinny, I have to eat like a skinny person. I tell myself this, I just can't seem to remember it when there is yummy food to be eaten. I need a magical pill that makes eating less fun and working out more fun. As for baby clothes, I imagine it's worse for you because you have a girl and girl clothes are so cute. I have to look hard to find something suitable for Griffin because boy clothse are not as cute hwich is partially to blame for my obsession with Ralph Lauren. I see cute girl clothes everywhere I go!! And I think it does have something to do with the fact that babies look adorable in anything and it's easy to dress them. My mom said she used to prefer buying clothes for us because we would look good in anything. She did that for me till I was like 21 because I guess I still looked good in anything then. Oh well. And I really haven't heard of that ministry. I will have to look it up and see if they offer it around here. I need help. I make enough money to move out, I just have no clue where it goes!!
from hunterpoo :
You know.. I laughed so much at yesterday's entry, I do believe I forgot to comment on it. hahahahahah!!! I think I'm gonna add it to my favorite entries.. hahahah!! Um, oh yea plus I'm still laughing over the Huntery Spuntry Doo msg you left. hehe. Thanks for making me smile Megan!!
from thaichic :
I have to catch up on the past couple of entries, but I HAVE to leave a note on the current one. You are too hilarious! I was laughing (chuckling) so loud in my office reading about the Everlasting Gobstopper of Stink. You should write children's books! I could imagine every detail of your morning. The only thing I was having trouble visualizing was furniture in the kitchen? I was imagining a couch for some reason. I don't know. I'll have to read that entry again, especially if I need a good laugh. Too cute.
from aliboomboom :
I'm glad that you found the foul odor and were able to get rid of it. That happened once in my apartment and I was convined it was a mouse or a rat and I was freaking out. It was a rotten canteloupe. Anyways no Ingrid has a condo about twenty minutes away but becasue I live at home and she stays there on most weekends, she takes free range to go through my stuff. I don't mind if she borrows things but this is just blatant stealing. She gave them back to me on Sunday but then I took a nap and she took them again and then had the audacity to get mad at me for accusing her of it!! I just want them back. I won't be mad if she just gives them back. And no she borrows clothes without telling me but she doesn't tend to just take stuff and try to convince me that its' hers, I mean that's psycho. And I know what happened because I got a new pair of sunglasses and I was wearing them so she probably took the Jones New York pair and then just waited before she started wearing them, thinking I wasn't going to notice. And now she'll never wear them again while I'm around so I don't know how I'll get them back. I am so mad about it though, it's unreal. As for whole milk, Griffin was on lactose free formula so he is taking half whole milk and half formula for right now just to adjust and make sure his stomach digests properly. Apparantly formula and breast milk just don't cut it after a year. That makes me wonder why some mothers breastfeed longer than that? I mean what's the point? It's weird.
from camham :
Hey, Megan. Yes, Cache is a family name. Ryan's great G-pa was named Cache Whitney. We were going to spell it "Cash", but we decided to use the other way. It has something to do with computers right? Thank you though. We love the name and the initials flow really well. Camden Cache. C.C.P.! We call him Mr. C or Mr. P. Funny! No, Ryan and I are not really very agile or athletic. I don't have any other babies to compare Camden too, but I suppose he is doing some things early. I bet you that he will talk late though becuase I am very quiet and he spends all his time with me. Also, he is fairly lengthy. One other thing is that Ryan and my mom have exercised him. This may sound funny, but I think it halped. Like my mom would make his legs move like he was crawling and RYan likes to hold his legs down while he tried to sit up. I imagine some babies might not participate in these games if they weren't ready yet though so it probably didn't make that much difference. He definitely needs to be on the move though and I am starting to get MY exercise!!!

Madison is still trying to form a pattern for her sleeping. She usually goes to bed around 11PM and then gets up every 3-3.5 hours to be fed. She then gets up (and stays up a while) at about 9AM. She has a good, healthy appetite. Most of the time she's eating 4 ounces, but sometimes only 2-3...depending on when she last ate. Thanks for the note!
from aliboomboom :
Griffin grinds his teeth as well, I think it's because they are just learning they can. I don't think it should be a problem. Let me know what your friend says.
from aliboomboom :
The pictures are adorable and both you and Julie are beautiful. As for the jon jons, she doesn't have a website but she has a store on ebay. It's AuntMonMon's and the little girl birthday outfits are beautiful, they have ribbons and they are gorgeous. She accidentally sent one to me and I loved it. Unfortunately I don't have a girl so I had to send it back. I think you'd fall in love with it as well.
from aliboomboom :
Cute pictures! I'm glad that you and Julie had fun!!
from hunterpoo :
I never got around to commenting yesterday. Alex's pictures were gorgeous! Hope her 1st 4th was great. And how cool to meet Julie and Nathan. That is so awesome.
from hertinyhands :
You have such a gorgeous little girl! What pretty pictures.
from aliboomboom :
I hate relying on my instincts. I think I have the worst instincts ever, they never do anything but get me in trouble. I just want really big visible signs. I feel like if God would just come down and say he's not the one then I would be like okay, tha'ts fine. It's just that God doesn't do taht and that leaves me where I am and I hate it. Thanks for caring. AS for the tubes, he gets them next Friday. Scary stuff.
from hunterpoo :
Wow you forgot the medication name? Yea, very ironic. hahah. Sorry, passed on the pillow. I'm SUCH a pillow junkie too, but I'm too lazy to start collecting them! I thought you were gonna check your Marshalls. I think that one was about $15 which is good since it was beautiful, and feather down. So tell your hubby to hook it up!! hahha. (Poor Al, I hafta go and be a bad influence on pillow shopping.)
from hunterpoo :
megan, you always leave the most wonderful comments. THANK YOU sooooo much for the beautiful words through this stupid time. You always make me smile through this. hahhaa. Oh with the alzheimer's, my grama hasn't been diagnosed. But it's a feeling I have because she's been changing, and been forgetful over things that are hard to forget, like her own son dying. It's just hard because she's on dialysis and she gets extrememly stubborn about going to her appointments (she goes 3 days a week). When I explain to her she HAS to, she's still stubborn. I have to be blunt and tell her she'll die if she doesn't go, and she doesn't like bluntness. She starts in on "We WANT her to die"... Argh. It's so hard. Do they actually do anything, or give them anything for it? I really am gonna push for her to get checked.
from aliboomboom :
Well I don't eat out a lot with boys so I guess I will have to start cooking when I move out. The crock pot thing is good and my mom does the same thing with chilli and stew and soup. It's just nice to always have something on hand, ya know? It's hard to work and do that kind of thing but I'll get the hang of it once I move out!! Which will hopefully be soon! I need a raiseQ!

I hope I will follow through and conquer my negative way of thinking. I heard you make Alex her baby food. What kind of food do you make and how? I'd love to make Aidan's food. I'm just now getting into the solids with him. I have no idea where or when to start or what to even give him. Ali has given me advice which I'm so glad she did, otherwise he may have reactions and I wouldn't know why. I'm going to have to go to your older entries so I can get to know you more without asking you a million questions. Take care woman! Thanks again for your comment.
from aliboomboom :
Sometimes it takes a while for the counter to catch up to the comments. As for the whole kharma thing, I never really thought about it from a religious standpoint. I know that God forgives me for things that I do after I repent but I haven't ever necessarily repented for breaking hearts or making people feel bad. I think maybe the whole what goes around, comes around is more of a way of teaching people something and God wouldn't necessarily be opposed to that, right? I just don't know. I know I sound melodramatic about the Brandon thing but I just feel like I lost the most amazing man ever. And I hate that.
from bubbles11090 :
Hey!! Thank you for your note:) Yeah, Riley says "Mama and Dada" all the time. It's so cute! When he gets mad he starts screaming, "MUMMA, MUM, MA!!" hehe:) By the way, your porch is so pretty. I love the colors. :)
from mymemry :
I haven't graced your note page in awhile. I didn't want it to feel too left out. What's for dessert?
from aliboomboom :
You are right. I am just very unsure about putting myself out there with him again. I don't want him to be the person that he was at the end, I want him to be the person he was when I fell for him.
from aliboomboom :
It's funny because my mom won't watch Real World at all anymore. I mean you are far younger than my mom but you know what I mean. I guess that the cast is still somewhat in my age group and I guess in a way I did wild things when I was their age too so it doesn't seem as out there for me. OF course I hope Griffin NEVER acts that way. As for marriage, I just always wanted to be married and have children. I think I just kind of assumed I would find MR. Right and the older I get the less I think I will. I just want Griffin to have that and his biological father won't give it to him and I feel like I should be able to give him a wonderful father and I can't. I just love B, I can't explain why I don't hate him. I just don't.
from aliboomboom :
And you are right, even if Mike didn't break my heart, I am sure there is damage done by him. I never thought of that before.
from aliboomboom :
Thank you for the comment. It is definately a new and fresh way for me to look at the Brandon situation. I just felt like the whole time we were talking that he was the one. I felt so happy and content. I'd never felt that way, not even really with Ian. And maybe I do feel more stress about having a healthy relationship because I want Griffin to see that and to have a big family, not just the two of us. I just don't know what made B change his mind about me. It hurts because I know at one time, he was feeling all the same things I was. I need to pray about it more. I sometimes pray for the wrong things.I shouldn't pray that he bring Brandon back into my life, I should pray that he bring the right person into my life. And I know relationships are hard. Ian and I were long distance, that was hard. We had to work at it all the time but there is just something about being in love and being in a relationship that makes you feel more complete and more happy and more safe in this world. I don't idealize it that much, I am more realistic than I come off. Who doesn't want the fairy tale though? Thanks for caring.

Well, it was 5.8 pounds in 2 weeks so it's not as great. But I want to be realistic and not just try to crash diet, ya know? Besides if I lose close to three pounds every week then I only have like 10 more weeks and I'll be thinner than I was pre baby! And you look great, no matter how "old" you think you are. You lost all the baby weight faster than me!! I think you look amazing! As for the shoes, I was ecstatic to find them. I should post a picture. And yes if I tire of them I'll send them you way, yay for little feet!!
from hunterpoo :
Yay!! You dont ever have to be afraid to send the official "help me!" mail. But it is awesome you figured out the options. And they do sound yummy!! hehe. The pictures are so cute too. Even pics from a few months ago show so much growth. She's so adorable!!!
from aliboomboom :
Wait, I didn't see the pictures. Where are they? As for the menu, sounds good. I am still in awe that you make her baby food. What a good mommy!!
from hunterpoo :
I was actually looking at that red pillow, that's why it was sticking out. hahah. I love Marshall's except I whine too much because I want everything when I'm there. Especially the picture frame rows. Hope you have a good weekend too!!
from mamabean :
i'd have said julia roberts, too, but i don't enjoy her in general. i won't dispute that she's pretty tho! i think JLH is very pretty! and just because she did one jackie chan movie, it doesn't mean she's a loser, right? tee hee. have a good weekend. i'm off to blow bubbles for alex - we've never done that! i bet she'll love it.
from aliboomboom :
I have gotten the Jennifer Love Hewitt thing before. I get her and Julia Roberts and Jennifer Garner and Catherine Zeta Jones. Some people think JLH is a compliment and some think it's not. I personally think she's great looking. Anyways yes I've heard it before but no I really don't look like her.
from hunterpoo :
How adorable!! Hunter plays peekaboo, i wish i could my camera in on the action, but when I do he stops playing and tries to eat the camera. hahhaha. Yay!! Hope you guys have a good lunch.
from aliboomboom :
Oh I'm no skinny minnie. Not yet, anyways. It was nice to get a compliment so soon though, maybe I was fatter than I thought. It always shows in fat peole first, doesn't it? I just think sometimse that I am unrealistic about my size, one way or the other. As for where I live, I am in Tennessee. I live in Knoxville, I work in Maryville. It's a nice area. Did you visit often? And I will figure out something regarding pictures. The t shirts are so cute. I've always loved the decal look and personalized shirts. There are so many cute things you could do for a little girl too. I hope I get married so I can have a little girl one day. I have so many big ideas!
from aliboomboom :
Those pictures are so cute!!
from thaichic :
What beautiful pictures of Alex. Sorry I haven't commented in a while. You have such a little darling on your hands. Thank you so much for your comment on my day today. I am just blowing up and I don't even feel that way really right now. I'm not mad, I guess I'm more bummed. Does that makes sense? The important thing is taking my frustrations out on my journal and not Aidan. He makes all the pain go away. I miss him. Sigh. Thanks again Megan.
from aliboomboom :
Griffin never really liked the mushy baby food, he definately likes Stage 3 the best. And he loves table food. It's so funny how they prefer different things. I really haven't dated anyone from like the bar scene in a long time. I met B at the doctor's office and Fletcher and I have mutual friends so it's not like I'm looking in the wrong places. And they all just fell in my lap. I wasn't looking for any of them, ya know? I just don't understand why God keeps bringing these people into my life for them to just destroy me. And my church doesn't have a good singles program at all!! BUT we've been there for years and years and years and it's where I want Griffin to grow up. And give me advice whenever you want, I need it. As for The Scarlett O'Hara comment, that is hilarious.
from aliboomboom :
I can't believe you make your own baby food. I guess I am far too lazy to ever do that. Griffin is mostly on regular food now though. He loves any kind of pasta. It's so funny. He likes spaghetti, lasagna, pasta salad, all of it. He's a very hearty eater!! Anyways thanks for the kind words, I really do hope that God has someone out there just for me.
from aliboomboom :
No, I'm not upset. I don't mind at all!!
from hunterpoo :
OMG, those are BEAUTIFUL pictures of Alex!!! No one else will give Hunt a bath, and its hard to get good pictures with wet hands. You really caught her personality in these! Love em.
from mymemry :
What a cutie! She looks so grown up on her little scooter.
from thaichic :
You're layout looks fabulous. Alex is so adorable. This entry (5/30/05) really hit home because I have the same views and feelings as well. I too walk around with a ponytail all the time. I too feel like I'm missing my twenties life but at the same time I don't feel like I'm missing anything because I have Aidan. I can relate so much. I'll just write an entry about it. Take care.
from mymemry :
Megan, Hey there. I was quite perplexed at first to discover that you had updated so late in the day. You are usually a morning updater. I should add that it was a refreshing change. Enjoyable, comical and informative. Without fail, the moment I leave Nathan's room from putting him in bed, I cross the hall into the computer room to browse my buddies before going to join James in the den. It give me quick access to Nathan if he needs me to comfort him. I hope you start to feel better soon. Julie
from aliboomboom :
Kate did my design too. She's awesome at it. I just wish she knew that!! Griffin wasn't too fussy with the first tooth but then he got four at the same time and was a little fussy as you can imagine!! Good luck!
from hunterpoo :
I'm sooooooo relieved you like it!!! Oh yea!!! YAY!! on the tooth!!! Hunt got his about the same time. Just make sure you stock up on baby teething stuff just in case they start hurting in the middle of the night. It's hard when they hurt... believe me!!
from hunterpoo :
Heya Megan!!! Just thought I'd let you know I posted a link in my newest entry to a page with a layout for you. I like the way it came out.. although I went in a different direction with putting pics on top and bottom, hope ya like it. The coding is there in case you do, if not I can either change things for you, or you can mess with it on your own. Sorry for making ya wait. It was definatley fun to work with your guy's pics though!! Such cuties.
from frogmom :
Your lil one is adorable!!
from aliboomboom :
I linked to you from HunterPoo and just wanted to let you know that I think Alex is adorable. I'll be back to read more. And if you want my diary info, email me at [email protected]. I dno't like to read people's diaries without giving them the option to read mine. Of course it's fine if you don't want to as well.
from bubbles11090 :
HI!! I noticed that you added me to your favs, so I came on over and started reading your diary. Our little ones are very close in age..I love reading other diaries with babies the same age as Riley. Hope you don't mind that I add you to my favs!? Take care and by the way, Alex is adorable:)
from camham :
I think Homeschooling is wondeful! Are you planning any more children or is it too soon to say? I would love to homeschool, for the same reasons as you, but I would be so scared that I wouldn't do my children justice. i love the photo of Alex sleeping. That is adorable. Did you ever use a pacifier with Alex? I also agree with you on the clothes thing. I am very particular with what Cam wears. I didn't even end up putting the things that most people bought him for our baby shower on him. I am just picky about that. It is the most fun to dress our babies, isn't it? By the way, i love the little outfit she has on in her pic. I love sleeveless jumpsuits where you can see there little shoulders! Cam is on his 3rd nap (rather late). We were outside watching Daddy work in the yard. Hopefully this won't interfer with his bed time toomuch. Or maybe this will be his bedtime. I have read of some babies going to sleep at 5:30 or 6:00. But he would miss dinner...and you know that boy wouldn't want to miss a meal!
from camham :
It only took 25 minutes tonight!!! WOW!!! This is so amazing. He didn't even suck on the pacifier and I am very careful not to let him fall asleep with it in his mouth. He is asleep and I am going to lay down now too, I think. How do you think the night-wakings (if any) should be handled? How do you know when Alex wants to eat at night or if she is just stirring? Heather
from camham :
Megan, thank you for the support! It means a lot to me. I agree, this is setting a new pattern and I know that it won't take long before it sets in. You are a wise lady. By the way, you have been very encouraging in this matter as well. Seeing how Alex is doing so well and that it wasn't always so easy for you both either has made me realize that the long-term gain is worth the short-term process. Thanks again for the support. I will keep you posted!
from mymemry :
Megan, This past entry REALLY hit home with me and helped me put 'things' in perspective. I hope you don't mind me inserting parts of your insightful wisdom into my entry on 5/12. I just cannot thank you enough for writing what you did. I think we are making progress. Even if 'we' arn't, I am! Boundaries are hard to set, but necessary for all of us. I had a friend a long time ago that didn't have boundaries and it was hard to be her friend because she would call at like 1am or 6am. She would also depend on others to supply her with 'self worth'. I don't know what happened to her when we moved up north a few years ago. Anyway, Thank you! Alex is so beautiful. She is so darling in that bonnet and her skin tone is so lovely. I think Jemma wrote that she is 'striking'. I agree. I hope you have a good weekend. Julie
from camham :
Thank you again for the postings. I actually would really like to know more details of how you handle the sleep issues, because it sounds like Alex is doing that part well. You mentioned in one of your blogs that you had some minor issues at 3 months. Also, were there any specific books that you read or articles that you found helpful? Does she cry anymore when youput her down or just go to sleep? And what did you do when you saw that she was not calming down after the specified time, or did she always fall asleep? Has it always been easy in this area? I would love to hear from you. Feel free to leave me a note or e-mail me when you have time to respond. Thanks. Alex is quite the cutie and getting so mature:)
from mymemry :
Megan, I am sorry about the disruption to your entry and even more sorry to hear that you're feeling so rotten. :-( I must have read the entry right as you were working on the rest of it, because it ended after the first picture. I left you an email. Julie
from mymemry :
Megan- james and i have been married for 4 and 1/2 years. I love the latest picture. She looks ready to play at the beach. When do yall leave? Julie
from mymemry :
Hi Megan. I love the latest picture! Already playing dress up. I can just imagine her at 4 years old with a trunk full of dress up clothes, maybe a feather wrap and high heels! Just wanted to let you know that your link from my profile works now. I accidently put a space in front of mamabean on my favorite diaries list. Who knew one little space would cause the problem. Also - how far are you from Kennasaw GA?
from camham :
Hi, Meghan, I'm new to Diaryland. I have enjoyed seeing pics of your baby girl. I know you mentioned in one of your entries about getting the pics smaller. How do you do that? If it's too detailed, nevermind. Keep up the great work as mom...I love the food in the face pic! CUTE!
from mymemry :
Megan, Hi again. I was able to add you and alice to my favorite diaries section, but when I went to click on diary next to your name it won't come up. Alices comes up and both your profiles come up but not your diary. The screen that says "this page cannot be displayed" But, when I click on your diary from alices favorite diaries it works. Does this make sense? Also, I saw that you added me to your favorites list. I appreciate that, but just so you know, it is mymemry, not my-memry. Ok, thats all for now. Thanks again. Julie
