not me. mom has dreamed a few times that i get into an accident and die. she found out last night her friend mark had the same dream, and called me [she was in phoenix.] after badgering her as to why it sounded like she had been crying to broke down and told me. i'll tell you the whole thing in person. I woke up to open my mouth and find, to my most jaded surprise, that the whole of my voice had been swallowed in my sleep. The rain against the window, trapped and squirming like insects or lines of unfinished poetry, pushed toward me as if to offer a baptism of all this black paint on my heart. I touched my face and quivered, and chased the day away for just a shard of the sun, to no avail. A lost crimson leaf followed me home between the wind and my black shoelace, and I held it until it went dry, until it broke in my breath. I tried swallowing its remains just to keep it with me a little longer, but it so perfectly failed to replace all this emptiness inside, where your simple words left for me did not.

Pain Pain Pain plages me endlessly. I take the super strength meds that last for only two hours but I can only take them every four hours. It will be over soon. But soon doesn't help now's pain...My tonsils were surprisingly big the doctor said, tucked behind my vocal chords..and so he said I might experience a little more discomfort than usual. haha. go figure eh? I love you, thanks for leaving the note, and little interjections in entries. I hope you have a marvelous week! xoxo

I know there is still so much sadness. But it would be nice to forget sometimes. instead of laughter tainted with the memories of reasons why you shouldn't be laughing...and the comfort in quiet is a relief from face smiles. but I just wish things were as funny as they used to be. i suppose just another of the many ongoing changes..
Anyways..I love you too. And it does feel nice to say that. Sometimes it is better to think or know that not everyone understands or even wants to, that way you are not as "exposed". Not as unprotected, and there's something left to the imagination..like some kind of secret weapon..if you will..
