his last email said i was the "real deal" and i am. i am a true blue, chain- smoking, iced coffee drinking, Hemingway loving, mother fucking writer. this is my time; when i was in high school my brother and i talked about what we wanted to be if we there was nothing to stop us. even then i chose this path-- not for the money, not for the fame, but for the knowledge of myself. to push me to a limit that has driven the others to drink, to dope, to insanity. i have started at these places. i want to see where i can go from here. i want to pick up from where they have left off. i want to go further and i want to walk out with the gun in one hand and the bullet in the other.
