oratoryfluff's Diaryland Diary ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Suck For those who are wondering...Molly is much better. I can pick her up tomorrow. But I have some very bad news... I am afraid I am going to have to withdraw from nursing school this quarter. I have been in tremendous pain with my foot the last few weeks. It become obvious to me when I had a hospital orientation and could barely walk after that my foot was going to present some definate problems during clinicals. I spent some time with the program director today discussing this issue. I can't squat, bending over hurts..walking very far hurts..and standing for very long hurts. Clinicals are physically demanding, and I would have to be able to do all of the above for the majority of a workday. I haven't withdrawn yet..I am going to meet with the course coordinator on Monday morning.. however at this point it seems pretty clear that I need more recovery time. I need physical therapy. I need to see my surgeon again about the pain I'm experiencing..and I need to drop a good bit of weight before I try again next year. So now I feel depressed and overwhelmed and sort of like "what now?" I need a job I guess.
