Bridesmaid Dresses

So, went dress shopping over the weekend. Thankfully I don't have to make a decision regarding my dress until late January, but I did need to make some decisions regarding the bridesmaid's dresses as one of my bridesmaids is going back to Italy for another year and will be flying home to attend the wedding.

Got the bridesmaids dresses chosen. At first I thought I would just let all the girls choose a style from a particular designer, but then I decided to go more traditional and have everyone wearing the same dress.

Can I just have a minute to rant about sample sizes in the dress stores.... Okay, I know that I am not the tinest person out there. I wear a size 16 in street clothes. But why, oh why, do dress shops insist on only having size 8 or 10 dresses for women to try on when looking for a wedding dress. How am I supposed to make an informed decision about how this dress is going to look on me when I can't even get the damned thing closed?

That's enough ranting for today. Nothing else going on with regards to wedding plans until mid to late august now when we book our reception site. Fiance is having some issues with costs, but he still thinks we're going to be okay. God I hope so.
