Another day of summer!

Thursday, Aug. 13, 2009 - 12:55 a.m.

Monday it hit the mid 80s. Yesterday it hit 94 degrees. Today it managed 98 degrees. Tomorrow is supposed to be in the mid-90s, I think. It looks like were going to get another week of summer. The cats have been sprawled all over. Miracle discovered the kitchen table, directly under the ceiling fan. I didnt have the heart to chase her off, even though the table is off-limits. George was sprawled on his side with his feet sticking out and I thought he was dead. I thought I saw his sides moving slightly, though, so I spritzed a gentle spray from the cats squirt bottle over him. He went from apparently deadjust sound asleep, obviouslyto one very P.O.d hamster! Oops. I finally put an ice pack on top of his house, leaning against the side of the tank he was cuddled up to. That cooled down the house and side a bit, I think. He stayed there, anyway, and hes running around tonight. Im worried about Purrcie, though. This evening she threw up, then fell over and started twitching like she had some kind of seizure. Then she jumped up and ran off and acted really weird, all nervous and freaked out for awhile. Lovely. Just what I need, a cat that has seizures. I didnt think it was that dangerously hot in here, especially by evening. Maybe she started running around too early in the evening.

The kittens have made their way up to the top of the valance over the living room windows, and broken it. I am more than ready for them to go into the adoption center.

Monday I did Kens stuff, then came home and went on the computer and got involved in researching etsy.com for Moms and my crafts. Still thinking about it. Anybody buy from there?

Yesterday and today I opened with Dani. Today was her last day.

Yesterday I was scheduled algae scrubber, so I thought Id have a good day. It wasnt. I was only 2/3 done with algae scrubbing by 10 a.m. when I was scheduled to leave, and I hadnt done any of the second batch of fish stuff. I felt bad leaving it all for her, especially since Tuesday is small pets bedding, and she did the sales habitats, so she had to do all that. I was hurting and my hands were just weak. I had a horrible time of it.

I had planned to mow my lawn, but my hands said no way, so I took a nap, then chatted online and read a few diaries. I stayed up too late, of course.

Today Dani got slammed againI felt bad, but not too bad, because theyve done that to me, too, had me scheduled sales habitats on Tuesday when its small pets bedding and algae scrubbing Wednesday when its back rooms bedding. She was still algae scrubbing when I left at 10 a.m., but further along than I was yesterday, even though she had to do bedding in the back rooms.

I, on the other hand, had an amazing morning. I somehow whipped through the sales habitats and was done by 9 a.m.! I thought it was good when I was done by 10 a.m. in the past. I went on to do almost all of the second batch of fish stuff while Dani was algae scrubbing. She was going to be done with everything by 11 a.m., Im sure, including the stuff we had till noon to do, so we did awesome. I have no clue what happened to me, but I liked it!

Came home energized, but took a nap anyway. Then I went on the computer and chatted and did some more digging on etsy.com till it cooled down enough to mow. I didnt mow that much, not even half, but I just wasnt up to pushing myself. I did enough. Then I sat in my swing and crocheted till it got too dark to see. (Yes, Im still working on that silly little dress!)

I will not be selling my knitted doll sweaters on etsy.com. I found a lady who makes absolutely amazing Barbie sweaters. I cant match that. And hers dont seem to be selling, either. But I want to join Etsy just to be able to tell her how amazing I think her little sweaters are.

I dont know what happened with my potential regular Wednesday evening client. Either his daughter didnt like me or they didnt need us this week or something. Im disappointed. But David called and asked me to work with Vern tomorrow afternoon, so that will help.

One of the many ways in which I am strange I would rather have my house 90 degrees indoors with strategically opened/covered windows and fans placed around than have everything closed up and freezing air conditioning. Its hard to believe, but 90 degrees doesnt feel bad when theres a fan blowing on you.

Purrcie is trotting around chirping at me, so, whatever happened, she seems to be fine now. Ive had my shower and the fan has dried and fluffed my hair, and now I need to get a few hours sleep before work.
