| In your next to last entry, you wrote about havin' a problem with shyness and I can really relate to that on account of I suffer from the identical affliction. What's helped me deal with it is a piece of advice I got from my granny. She told me the best way to overcome shyness when I'm talkin' to somebody is to concentrate on makin' that person feel good. She said I should try make 'em feel like they're comin' across exactly the way they'd want to, in their fondest dreams --- make 'em feel like I'm seein' 'em as their ideal selves. When I asked for tips on how to do that she suggested such things as smilin' a lot, keepin' eye contact, askin' polite questions, and reachin' out to touch the person's arm occasionally. She said, just act like you're talkin' to the most interestin' human bein' you've ever met --- no matter who you're talkin' to, or how dull they really are. This technique works. For me anyway. It doesn't eliminate shyness altogether, but it helps significantly so I just figured I'd pass it along. Best, Xtine / Squirrel X |

| YAY...you did it!!!! Awesome!!! And I see you like my all time favorite movie!! I can quote that movie fowards, backwards, middle to beginning and vice versa...ha!! my favorite line, kind of sums me up to a tee..."Some birds aren't meant to be caged, their feathers are just too too bright, and when they fly away, the part of you that knows it was a sin lock them up does rejoice, but it just make the world you live in that much more drab...." well enough about that...good luck with everything..including your job search...and your life in general..and remember what I said...smile smile smile!! it really is contagious, no matter if you are really happy or not!! There is always something wonderful to wake up to, everyday. Whether it's a smile from a friend..watching the sunrise, knowing that everyday of your life, no matter how tedious or boring you may think it is truly a miracle. Even through the bad times...and I've been there myself.
