Hey, welcome back! So good to read from you again. It seems that you found your way to religion. How come?
from acornotravez :
Test
from kelsi :
Hey man, good to see an update from you! I've been thinking about you here and there over the years. <3
from bindyree :
Hey, boopie! I hope all is well with you! Find me on FB if you are using it. xoxoxoxo
from annanotbob2 :
Hahaha! x
from stepfordtart :
OMG indeed! s x
from misfitstray :
WHOA! Unbelievable xox Haven't forgotten about the music, I'm just a lazy bitch, sorry.
from kelsi :
Yes, it still works.
from clammy05 :
First word is username, second word is password if I wasn't clear.
from clammy05 :
Holy smokes, I can't believe I haven't left you my password! I love the pic of downtown Houston. Htown rocks! clammy monkeys
from kelsi :
Update, it's been ages! And post a picture of your cat!
from iamjackslie :
I had obviously had some booze when I wrote those last two entries of mine, and some bile came out. I guess it's because she mentions hating her husband, and wanting to leave for a long time, and yet the affection puzzles me. I guess it's because I've always been able to walk away and never look back at past relationships or friendships when they end. She said so herself, she'll figure it out. I have been patient, and she continues to show me that she doesn't want to go back. I guess last year's break-up with me still stings. I have to let go of that as well.
from misfitstray :
Oh, woman, how I would love to go riding with you! Love the pics, you look always lovely. You have an awesome heartshaped head. If your hip is going numb to your knee maybe you should check out your spine. Maybe one of the spines has moved with your accident and you don't know it.
from annanotbob2 :
Fantastic pics! You look gorgeous and I'm in love with that dog. Happy new year xxx
from stepfordtart :
LOVELY pics! Might need to borrow that wig (for ringing the changes!) ;-) s x PS Ive heard of this sweet potato/marshmallow thingy from several sources but we deffo dont have that here. Should I research and make one? Is it THAT good?
from misfitstray :
pppffftt, forgot the 't' in definitely and the 's' in things. Too quick and impatient as always *sigh*
from misfitstray :
'Hoarders', yes, those people exist everywhere. They are called "Messi" (from the word mess) over here. Saw appartments of such persons twice in real. Absolutely disgusting. And yes, it's definiely inspiring to throw thing out! Hope you had fun in boxing class :)
from misfitstray :
WOW, off until Dec 7, that is awesome! Envying you a bit ;) Enjoy and have lots of fun! oxo
from bindyree :
Take your phone off the hook for an entire weekend sometime. I promise you the sun will still rise.
from annanotbob2 :
Wish I could send you some of my Ikea Billy bookcases - ideal for cats! Thanks for your words of encouragement re moving. xxx
from misfitstray :
x
from stepfordtart :
Oh! Thats not what I was expecting them to be, at all! I think I had in my mind a kind of lentilish falafel but they arent! I think I may well have a go at those....I think I should, actually, as when I was reading the ingredients I was thinking "Yup, got that. Yup, got that, Yup, yup, yup" so I have no excuse really! s x
from misfitstray :
do you have the recipe for those lentil fritters, PLEASE? They look pretty yummy on your pic over at twitter. I'm neither a fan of avocado nor chili, but I guess I'd try them out with some kind of balsamico-sauce. YOU are AWESOME, not me!
from kelsi :
Good luck in the cook-off! I'm hungry...
from misfitstray :
Wow, all that cooking doesn't sound like real fun. Man, feeding 200 people is very much! But nevertheless, it sounds pretty yummy, what you're cooking.
from misfitstray :
Have a wonderful day off with lots of satisfying things to do for you! oxo
from annanotbob2 :
Happy day off, oh energetic one! xx
from bindyree :
Oh, love you, too! I miss Diaryland a lot more than I thought I would, but it was time. If I set up shop somewhere else, I'll definitely find you!
from misfitstray :
Have fun in San Diego, you little lovely weirdo :) x
from misfitstray :
I don't think that Bikram-Yoga is a thing for me. It's in a heated room with temps around 38C. No thanks! I like stick to cooler temps, no matter how much better I would feel afterwards.
from catsoul :
things are always better with a cup of earl grey, glad to read that things are smoothing out for you both. =^..^=
from annanotbob :
I have long hair because I hate having it cut and faffing about with it. I just tie it up most of the time and it stays the same year on year without needing hairdressers at all. xx
from blacksheet :
I was actually in Ohio for this trip. The trip to Fort Worth is in 2 weeks. I hope your ride went well though! :)
from kelsi :
Kind of all I want to do now is ride my bike.
from misfitstray :
thanks for the intake on those shoes. They are called "Keilabsatzschuhe" here. Wedges is maybe a better name :) Don't like them. I'll stay oldfashioned with heels.... Hope you'll have fun on your trip and ride with your sister! And I'm really glad that you're feeling better! Sounds like you and Richard worked out the problems you had lately. Good!
from annanotbob :
Mind Thegap xxxx
from misfitstray :
I'm really sorry that you don't feel well. Hope you will be better soon. Sending big healing vibes and more energy your way. xxooxx
from misfitstray :
I'm sorry, but I had no internet the whole time in Norway except on the last day at the hotel at the airport, where I just checked my email. I'm alive and well and I'll update my diary now xxx
from blacksheet :
Aww, I'll be in Fort Worth if I go... :( That's too bad; it would be fun to have a night out in Texas!
from stepfordtart :
Yay to the new place and your future happiness, dear! s x
from killsbury :
All I need is pics of the cats at the new place!
from stepfordtart :
Heehee! Glad to have been of service! s x
from stepfordtart :
leave the shelf outside til the smell wears off? Might take a while but ultimately worth it? s x
from blazingstar :
Cool, I picked up a library copy today! I'm in the middle of another book though so it'll take me a little while before I get to it. No idea about the security word thing - I actually don't have to enter a word to write you a note, so I'm not sure what the deal is!
from blazingstar :
Ooh, I was thinking about checking out The Stand! I'll go get it and read it TOO!
from kabukicharms :
Yeah, though I best know him as The Devil on Brimstone. I see your Donald Glover, and raise you my all time favorite Glover. Danny.
from kabukicharms :
Ha hopefully not anytime soon! I've never had much of a fondness for the Houston proper. Though in truth maybe sometime towards the end of the year. One of my best friends is getting married, though he hasn't set a definitive date. Mmm I think I'll be in Galveston then Sugarland late September though. Also! Oh man I LOVE Crispin Glover, however no where near as much as the totally unrelated John Glover, who you should look up and love as well.
from misfitstray :
healing vibes arrived ass the calf is feeling better and better each day. Hope you have wonderful days in Florida! Chicken salad looked DELICIOUS. Couldn't you come over and make the cooking for me? I'm elderly, you know ;)
from misfitstray :
I'm really glad that you now have a new home! Happy moving ;) Used my last moving for getting rid of tons of things. Still throw away a lot of things lately. It's like jettison/leaving dead freight. Feeling a lot lighter and relieve.
from misfitstray :
You signed a contract for this new appartment yet? There's an appartment available in our house ;) Glad you found something that you liked. Why do you had to take that allergy-meds?
from misfitstray :
Thank you! x Your dad seems to be the one on drugs. I guess, I somehow can feel how you feel as my dad was an asshole. I'm glad that he's already dead. It was a relieve. But he suffered alot in his last years as he got both of his legs amputated. So, I felt sorry for him as well.
from blacksheet :
Thanks acorn! :) And also, great picture of your cat with the weights!!
from bindyree :
Sometimes both of my parents could be pricks. And while most of my memories of them are tolerable, and I do miss them, at the same time I am not sorry that they're gone and I no longer have to bow and scrape on an emotional level. Good for you for distancing yourself before you go nuts!
from stepfordtart :
Thats not 'uh oh', thats 'YAY'!! s x
from kelsi :
Ha ha, I'd saved all of our wedding cards too, but went through them the night before I moved out, bawling my eyes out. I kept a couple of them that were too hard to throw away - I was just thinking about this last night, weird. I do still have a box of wedding stuff, photos and the wedding book and all that crap. Can't throw it out...
from misfitstray :
well, it was just the 1st in this season, not my very first triathlon. But thank you anyways for your lovely note :) As I have no car, you won't be able to ride with me on the Autobahn, but maybe you'll have a rental car, so you'll get a chance. If you ever come again to Munich, I'd be glad to bike around with you. I'd invite you to stay with me too, but I just have a small appartment with one large room + bathroom + kitchen. So it would be a bit small for you and your bf and me as I guess he would come with you, then. But big enough to invite you for dinner or breakfast or lunch or just coffee...
from misfitstray :
I know that you live in a very hot climate and I would never ever manage to live there and survive. I can't stand heat very good. I once was on Hawaii and on Mauritius and both times I suffered a lot. My circulation is crashing down in hot and humid climates. Last year I had to do a triathlon in 86F. That was hell and I needed 15 minutes more than usual for the 10k. That's the reason why I'll never try the Ironman on Hawaii. You are a hero that you can survive there :) But maybe it's just the training over years ;)
from stepfordtart :
"god time". *tssk* "Good time"
from stepfordtart :
Five or six weeks is pretty much the norm here - most people arent allowed to take em all in one hit tho, you have to spread em through the year which can be quite hard to do. I guess its not a god time to say that I work in a school now (after 25 years in business), and so get the same holidays as the kids get. THIRTEEN weeks! And I get paid for those 13 weeks, too! SQUEEEEEEE s x
from blazingstar :
I know, it would have been SO great to see you! But I remember reading what a crazy short time you were here for. Yup, blondes, shopping, Starbucks...that about covers it. Sending more girl-love your way!
from kelsi :
I have Key Lime Pie on cassette too!
from killsbury :
I love you to bits. Everyone feels that way in school too, even the fluffy cheerleaders had their insecurities. Live the way you want, you rock!
from omfggwtf :
suuuuuure ;) xx
from blacksheet :
Hi acorn, just sending some girl love your way. From what I can tell you seem like a likable gal. And you should be proud of that beautiful skin color; I bet those other girls were just jealous!
from bindyree :
No worries. I like you just fine, honest! xoxoxo
from misfitstray :
of course I do like you and your diary a lot! Otherwise you wouldn't be in my favourites... Would be even great to meet you in real life. :)
from annanotbob :
{{{{{Acorn}}}}} That's a big hug for me and I hope you don't feel too bad when you wake up again. xxx
from misfitstray :
it would be pretty easy - just book a flight over to Munich and you'll be able to go with me on the mountains. :) (bring your bike...) Love your pics! And I'm so with you, that work sucks!!
from annanotbob :
Loved that! xx
from misfitstray :
Hope you had fun on your 2-day-ride. Sounded like fun to me at least. My rides aren't that much longer than yours. Between 60-100 miles usually and sometimes combined with running. But I never take snacks or food with me just water or some energy drinks and I ride mostly alone.
from kelsi :
I hope you're having a great time! That ride sounds awesome.
from misfitstray :
wow, you carry a lot of stuff with you on your bike-rides. Even ice! You are crazy ;) You don't mind the weight? Where do you carry it. Backpack?
from blacksheet :
Oh wow, thank you!!! :)
from stepfordtart :
Dont bother with the metric system. We've had it for years and STILL nobody uses it! s x
from misfitstray :
as far as I know: Gerald Ford signed the metric conversion in 1975. But noone uses it so far. You should go to a doctor and get your gallbladder checked for gallstones or something like that. Take care!
from stepfordtart :
Pete Murphy? The Bauhaus guy? Coooooool! Great pics, btw (except for the gross elbow one, obviously!) s x
from stepfordtart :
Hey! I took a look at your '100 things' and the 'city'. Both are immeasurably cool. s x
from stellarrobot :
Bath yoga IS awesome. Only you have to exercise extreme caution if you are accident prone and live alone.
from stepfordtart :
Arf Arf! Shame on you for that one! S x
from misfitstray :
wow, getting up at 4:30 for a ride! But emps in the 70's are great. Here, it's around 30, not so nice for cycling. I think I'll go for indoor suffering
from misfitstray :
you shouldn't be afraid of a person you're supposed to be in love with
from falo :
I have and use usaa. It is Texas based and available to military, ex-military and dependents (including adult children) of current and former military personnel. It's excellent and well priced. Another opinion, Clark Howard, consumer advocate. http://www.clarkhoward.com/news/insurance/car-insurance/10-worst-insurers-in-america/nDFf/
from misfitstray :
sorry, that I can't help you out with carinsurances. But I just want to say that I probably would've killed that guy who would try to steal my bike in my dream ;).
from kelsi :
I use State Farm and like it just fine. I have auto and renter's and the multi-policy discount basically makes my renter's insurance free (or so they said when I signed up). My rates go down every year, and a couple years ago they sent me a dividend check! In my previous life, I think we used MetLife. I think we didn't have any complaints about them, but I don't really remember. Good luck!
from blacksheet :
Thank you so much! After the day I had, it was very nice to get your note. :)
from misfitstray :
sometimes I think that you and your bf don't match very good. But I guess it's a thing between you and him. Maybe he just needss to learn some more tolerance... take care and do what YOU want :)
from blazingstar :
Dude, you are still smokin' hot! I'm sorry you're having a rough night. You shouldn't have to party if you're not in the mood to party. I used to have this job where I had to deal with a ton of screaming toddlers all day, and my boyfriend did quiet "intellectual" stuff all day, so when he came home he wanted to blast music and video games all night and I just wanted quiiiiiet. Not fun. But anyway...I TOTALLY support your decision to stay in, and I hope you got to do something soothing for YOU. I'm thinking of you!
from misfitstray :
Sounds like a good ride to me :) Bobcats are wonderful. I'm neither on facebook :) But I'm on twitter like you. What's your name there? Maybe we can become followers? My account (misfitstray as well) is pretty boring, as I mostly write about my trainings there.
from kelsi :
Bobcat!
from omfggwtf :
thank you :) xx
from misfitstray :
pretty cool glasses! :)
from kelsi :
You're so cute! Glad you're going chemical/product free - very admirable. Wish I could follow suit. I'm planning to try the no shampoo again this summer or spring, when it warms up a bit.
from misfitstray :
btw., I downloaded 3 songs of client (the one you said and 2 more) and 1 of La Roux. More to download for me... I guess I just have to click me through amazon ;) xx
from misfitstray :
so, you don't use shampoo and deodorant anymore as well? I heard about that and I'm really curious on the outcome. I'd like to test it too.
from misfitstray :
Thanks a lot for the music suggestions! I like Client a lot. All the others are ok too, esp Eels, but nothing for working out I guess. It needs more - hm - "pepp" or so, if know what I mean... Something you'd like to dance to ecstatically, all night long.
from omfggwtf :
^_^ thank you x
from stepfordtart :
The pic of our cat reminded me SO much of dressing up my cats in dollies clothes when I was a little girl. There's no 'pissed off' face like the face of a cat with a doll's bonnet on. Oh, and where t. f. do you LIVE that its 80 degrees? It was 25 here yesterday! s x
from stepfordtart :
I read 'its 8.38 and I need...etc'and thought you were getting started on the loopy juice at BREAKFAST time! I am an idiot. Nice photo, btw. s x
from stoner-girl :
Hey, thanks for adding me :) I'm still in the process of updating my diary (as it was previously abandoned) but I'm glad you like it and feel free to add it to your favourites! I will try and read yours as soon as I find the time xxx
from stepfordtart :
A very merry birthday to you! s x
from annanotbob :
Happy happy birthday, young Acorn!! xxx
from bindyree :
Hippo birdies two ewes, love!
from stepfordtart :
Hey! Thanks for adding me - I shall return the favour...especially as I see we have some excellent friends-in-common! s x
from annanotbob :
Your food looks delicious! When I add a pic I put <img src="" width = 400 > with the code for the pic between the speech marks. Is there another way?
from killsbury :
Happy Thanksgiving to you and Richard! I've never been able to try that marshmallow/sweet potato thing. It sounds like dessert!
from annanotbob :
Can't believe I'm about to give html advice, but I am! When you add a pic, if you write width=400 before the last > then they come out OK. I use 400 for landscape and 300 for portait. You now the the entirety of my html knowledge! Happy Thanksgiving, sweetie x
from misfitstray :
wonderful pics!
from omfggwtf :
i love your diary :) could i add? xo.
from annanotbob :
Great entry and wonderful pics! Thanks for Spanish film advice - I'm on it! xx
from misfitstray :
what is SGU?
from misfitstray :
well, I don't know the difference between apple-crisp and apple-pie. However, I like to eat it :) In german it's simply "Apfelkuchen" Apfel = apple + kuchen = cake or pie (not like pastry)
from bindyree :
Your owie is looking a lot better; I hope it hurts less and less!! xoxo
from misfitstray :
just wrote an entry - only for you :)
from readnglst999 :
Where is clarity25? Recent vacation blog - http://twoshotsoftequila.blogspot.com/ "Eric's" Photobucket account - http://s795.photobucket.com/home/sketchbookshark/index
from kelsi :
Ha, I love that Lady Gaga's meat dress is your safe place!
from misfitstray :
it seems that you are kind of allergic to one of those antibiotics. That's not nice. If you discontinue takeing it, the chances of a resistance of your germs will raise. Not good. I think you should do, what you want. And if you like to cycle again and feel good enough - do it!
from daath :
I try not to induce head trauma too often, considering what the journal read like between 2004-2006. Still, I've got a few choice yarns left in my migraine kit.
from misfitstray :
That doesn't look nice. Hope you'll be pain-free and well soon!
from bindyree :
Whoah, that's gonna leave such a cool and sexy scar. I'm glad it wasn't worse!
from annanotbob :
Oooh! Nasty! Poor you! xxx
from kelsi :
My hair's... okay. It was going good, and then, I don't know, then it wasn't so good. It felt like it was never clean, like there was a film. Maybe too much baking soda, maybe not enough, I don't know. I went home for the weekend and used some tea tree shampoo and that was fabulous (also the water there is softer, so it's always fabulous when I go home)... so, I'm still using the baking soda wash and vinegar rinse but I might have to use shampoo every couple weeks or so. I'll see how it goes. I am glad to be free from those chemicals and am trying to get rid of chemicals in other areas of my life - soap, cleanser, moisturizer, lotion, sunblock. Sooo, overall, it's going well, but I'm still making some adjustments!
from liquid-mojo :
Yes, I'm back. The road to fitness is definitely an uphill climb, but I'm walking up that hill in the best way I can... :)
from liquid-mojo :
looking at your most recent entry made me hungry. i think i'll throw a frozen pizza in the oven... =p
from killsoft :
i have been returned skeeted! noooo!
from alienamiss :
^__^ I'm getting better at this.
from killsoft :
skeet skeet
from annanotbob :
Oh god, me again, to say I love your pics - pretty kitties!
from annanotbob :
ps following you on twitter, which I mainly use for ranting about big brother...
from annanotbob :
Cat on a leash?!? Wow! Can I ask, why do Americans keep their cats indoors? Ours just wander in and out at will (I leave windows open, but other people have cat-flaps) and they always come home. No litter tray, no hassle, though Bob does love the rain and keeps coming in soaking wet. x
from daath :
Thanks for the add, I think? I do need to update more often.
from blazingstar :
I bought my cat a harness TOO! And she did the same thing at first, just lay in one spot not realizing she could still move. Aww. Also got a leash that says "bad to the bone" all over it. We've tried taking her for walks a couple times, she's still getting the hang of it. I think the trick is you have to let the CAT walk YOU. Like, with a dog, when you tug the leash in one direction, the dog goes in that direction. But with a cat, if you tug, the cat digs IN. Thanks for the comment on my video! You should make more too, we can be video pen pals! My next one will be dedicated to you and you alone.
from annanotbob :
I use photobucket to upload pics and echo/jskit (it seems to have two names) for comments, both free. Glad you had some good family time. I'm reading a book set in Houston, Black Water Rising, which is SHOCKING, but set in 1980s. Please tell me it's not so divided now. xxx
from annanotbob :
xxx
from kelsi :
Tell me more about this not washing your hair... you get it wet in the shower but don't use shampoo? You have short hair, my hair is longer. I might try switching to a baking soda solution - I tried it a year ago or so but got bored, don't know why.
from blazingstar :
Acorn! So glad to hear your heel is finally starting to heal! No, we haven't gotten the bikes yet, sadly -- they're at his parents' house, so we'll pick them up next time we visit. I can't wait! Thanks for checking in, lady! You rock.
from alienamiss :
You've been reading the Calbert diary? I didn't even know you could read Japanese!
from ohitsdora :
beautiful lay!
from blacksheet :
Thank you!
from blacksheet :
awwww..mass murderer?!
from caligirl :
hey sweeets! thanks for your note. i'm still here. maybe i should change my diaryland name to "sleeplessinSF-girl" because, yes, the baby is here, and i'm one tired mamma! all is going good really, and little by little, i'll be writing about how it all went down (started by writing an entry today). hope all is swell in your world! xoxo! -cali
from blacksheet :
Sure. I need your email. I'll delete it from my notes right away.
from beckers-j :
Thanks for the Happy Thanksgiving note! It was happy, indeed. And a soon to be Happy New Year to you! :)
from caligirl :
thanks chica. i think i'll feel like less of a jezebel once i tell the p's and they don't totally disown me. i love that you celebrated negative HIV tests with margaritas! you and richard are so f-ing rad!!!
from pan-opticon :
Yeah, it's been a fun little jaunt back :) You've had quite the upheavals, eh? Fuckin life, ha. Good to hear things are well.
from caligirl :
thanks acorn! you were right. everything was OK. xoxo!
from caligirl :
hey chica - crazy how we're on the same shacking-up-with-our-boyfriends cycle! (i wonder if our menstrual cycles are next? haha!) glad to hear/read all is going well in your life!
from soapboxdiner :
Happy belated birthday!!!
from liquid-mojo :
OMG! I'm sorry, I totally forgot you were in the path of Ike. O.o I'm glad you are alive and safe and I hope your power gets restored soon.
from liquid-mojo :
Ack! You could have totally crashed at my place and I could have given you the grand tour. Oh well, I'll leave the invitation open in case your work brings you to Chicago again... :)
from bindyree :
Wow, I'm glad your Special Friend has a bald head, because that means he's not wasting all of those magnificent male hormones on superfluous stuff like growing hair. :-)
from beckers-j :
Hey! I just saw your note asking for a password. I'm sorry, but I'm not giving one out this time around. I'm just writing for myself because I'm going through something I want to document. If that changes, you will definitely be one of the first to know! ;) Glad you're back!
from dinosaurorgy :
Gotta gimme your email address, man. I'm note putting it out in notes because I know someone who'd be looking for an opening to get it from these.
from bindyree :
Hi, A, it's wonderful to see you! I hope you come back often! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo Brin
from speaklouder :
Wanted to let you know that I like your journal and I'm adding you to my favorites :) _Speak
from liquid-mojo :
hey acorn, i know i'm a few entries late on this one, but i'm sorry to hear the news about the big "d". having been through one myself, i know it's no picnic. =/ just keep hanging in there...
from bindyree :
No, of course not! LOL I knew what you were up to, heh heh... When I am upset with somebody, I am never ambivalent about that. That's a really good question to have asked in the comments section, though, as far as liability and privacy issues are concerned. :)
from gr8chick :
You inspired my entry for today 02/08/2008. Hope things get better...
from dandydandy :
Oh no! I hope this doesn't mean you've contracted chicken pox by hanging 'round my blog!
from falo :
Hi Acorn. Ja, I have Photoshop Elements and it is just as easy as laying one picture on top of another and animating them to make the pictures flip from one to the next in a GIF file. I imagine that you might like to get the whole years worth and create a single GIF animation and it would flip through them one after the other and really be a cool retrospective on the year. I've never done one as extensive as a 365 day retrospective, but in theory it is very simple. In the meanwhile I will look forward to seeing more of your photographic artwork.
from gr8chick :
Hey, Lady! I really hope you start feeling better. I think I'm coming down with something. Woke up today with a sore throat, and I cannot stop sneezing! OMG...I hate that! BTW...the gifts sound perfect. And thanks for the note. I hope you had a great New Years celebration.
from manvsnature :
ok. i like bands that i don't find are lacking in any area that i favor the most. fugazi clearly lacks nothing and are well-deserving talents.
from manvsnature :
thanks for liking my diary.
from killsbury :
Thanks for the recipe! I'll be trying it soon.
from beckers-j :
Hey! It actually doesn't matter that you lost my password because I'm not writing at good old D-Land anymore. I just pop in to keep track of everyone else. ;) But I'm doing really great - grad school is currently kicking my ass, but it's so worth every minute. You can find me over on MySpace if you want - myspace.com/beckers_j - but my profile is private so you'd have to be on MySpace yourself and request me as a friend to see it. I blog there on occasion. Hope to hear from you! If not, I'll be back to harass you in your diary anyway. ;)
from bindyree :
Hi, love -- thanks for the pictures, especially of your puppycritters and those great costumes!!!
from gr8chick :
Just wanted to let you know that I have added you to my faves, and I'll be doing some back reading. Thanks for visiting! Have a good one!
from liquid-mojo :
well yeah and that too, I'm getting to the point where i'm going to have to start lying terribly about my age... =p
from dinosaurorgy :
Hey, just confirming -- you wanted to join question-it?
from smedindy :
I love iTunes and I love my iPod. Yes, you pay .99 for each song, but some albums are at a bargain price. The iTunes store has a lot, and emusic can work with iTunes to fill in some holes.
from heydomsar :
user: hidden pass: thoughts As you can see, I'm not real strict with that since I posted it here. Just keeping out the random crazies. Welcome crazies that I know!
from dandydandy :
I'll be opening back up soon! I haven't updated in a while, but I'll get back in the groove once again. Thanks for the add!
from bindyree :
Have a really good trip, sweetie!

Ooooh, Ithaca is fantastic! Seriously, it's one of the best places to go in Upstate New York. I went to college near there and spent a lot of time in the gorges. There are some really fantastic waterfalls. Ted and I had our first day-date at one of them. ;) And the town itself is adorable. You'll have so much fun!

Live and learn I guess... I wish I were a stoner, then I could at least partially blame weed, but no I was just a lazy bum who lived off of his student loans and random part-time jobs. =p
from turtleninja :
Heh. Actually that on my profile was from forever ago. I'm sorta on myspace, but don't really update there either. Recently spazzed out and deleted a bunch of crap again. Currently at http://fanciful-notion.blogspot.com. Sorry to be so spazzy. I hate it when other people do that.
from heydomsar :
Dude. Bjork was mind-blowing, as expected. I hope to get a full write-up out there soon. Stay-tuned! Catch her if you can... you may explode.
from liquid-mojo :
Yeah, I read something similar to that in "The Secret" about the law of attraction. I'd have to say that it works amazingly well for me in terms of cellphone technology. But in terms of the opposite sex, maybe there's something in the back of my head that just isn't ready for it, at least not yet. But yeah, I do embrace the idea that positive things can happen to you if you have a positive vibe.

HAPPY 5TH ANNIVERSARY ACORN AND AMOR!!
from liquid-mojo :
I don't know, I hear suburbia has really good golf courses. Wait, I forgot that golf is boring and sucks little white balls... =p
from pimlico :
Thanks for the note! pimlico - formerly sopeculiar....
from caligirl :
"The more people I meet, the more I like my dog." amen, sister!!! why can't my "real life" friends be more like my diaryland friends???
from liquid-mojo :
Peanut butter patties is good but kinda rich. I'll probably need milk to down them. Samoas is my fave, probably the same ones Wade likes, because they are the only ones with coconut that I remember at least. Gotta luv those partially hydrogenated oils though. ;) So wait, I matched the CEO's donation? Cool. Does that mean I can be CEO now? ;)
from bindyree :
Thanx 4 recommending the Gold Bond powder!
from heydomsar :
I'm off to Canada on business until Thursday, so I'm turning my diary over to a couple guest posters. Optional assignment: "My favorite teenage/adolescent moment." Have fun!
from acornotravez :
partially hydrogenated oils = trans fats
from bindyree :
What a fabulous penis cake! With hair! You seem like the kind of person who would appreciate the anatomically correct gingerbread man located on this page of my diary: http://bindyree.diaryland.com/030729_25.html
from liquid-mojo :
yes, junk food nutrition at its finest. all that's missing is partially hydrogenated oils and trans-fats =p
from liquid-mojo :
Yeah in my case it is, but in general it's actually a term stolen from project management. It could be any discrete thing or group of things such as charts, plans, schematics, diagrams, reports, programming module, web page etc. that can be "delivered" as part of the final product or computer program in a project.
from caligirl :
thanks for your encouragement!! yes, checking CL is part of my daily routine. i might have a potential opportunity in the works. the sister of a girl in the old mba program works for a start-up company and they are looking for a marketing person with my background. we'll see....all i really want to do is be a travel writer. how's that for a real life oxymorom? traveling costs money and being a writer pays crap!
from heydomsar :
wow! "Diaryland's quiet moral voice, he's got your back." I'm so flattered. I hope I can live up to that. But thank you!
from smedindy :
Der! So sorry!
from liquid-mojo :
I'm actually feeling better, I think. The cold weather isn't helping much with the throat, but I think my immune system is catching up with the bug. I'm still out there with the dating thing, so hopefully I'll come across one of those minimally-insane chicks. =p
from caligirl :
HI yourself...are you drunk? :)
from liquid-mojo :
not sure what's up with my comments. haloscan's pretty hit-or-miss
from pan-opticon :
yeah, Scott's all about the rock :)
from pan-opticon :
HAHAHA oh my gotta love ambiguous pronouns, too funny...
from discodave :
Cheers, hon - I've been here so rarely recently I thought everyone would have forgotten :) Dxx
from pan-opticon :
haha yeah, I wish I'd been wearing my mouth guard. At this point, it's kind of gone beyond pain and into the "you're not fucking serious, again?!"
from bindyree :
Just a quick note to thank you for saying you enjoyed my music! It means a lot to me that you took the time to listen AND tell me what you thought. Again, humbly -- thanks. :)
from liquid-mojo :
i guess all those years in college finally paid off. =p but yeah apostrophe abuse has gone on way too long, so has misplaced quotation marks. http://www.juvalamu.com/qmarks/#current

Conspiracy Theory #169: Maybe the student thingie was staged to see how you you would react to unexpected situations. I'm glad you made it though. Huge Congratz. Never doubted you for a second. :)
from heydomsar :
hey, your page is messed up, i think, so i'm leaving you a note to say CONGRATULATIONS! you're all done! way to stick with it. you are now officially way smarter than everyone i know.
from liquid-mojo :
visit your library huh? well be sure to practice safe reading. =p
from beckers-j :
So I'm getting back into the swing of things with the TurboJam. Four days in a row, actually! I seem to be having a lot of fun with it lately. I'm trying to make myself get up early in the morning and do it. I'm such a slug about getting up. ;) How is it going with you?
from beckers-j :
The Turbo Jam is great! I wish I could say I'm doing it frequently, but I haven't been all that motivated lately. I do it a few times a week, and the difference in my abs is already amazing. I think I need to be a little more committed in order to start blasting my buns and thighs. ;) But I'm with ya on that shake and shed thing!
from beckers-j :
Hey, thanks for the lovely compliment. ;)
from liquid-mojo :
Yes, water and soda is your friend while overindulging. The food was awesome, I find myself dreaming about it from time to time it was so good.
from beckers-j :
I did get Turbo Jam! I've used it three times now, and I think it might take me a while to get into, too. I do like it so far, but I think I'm concentrating too much on learning the moves rather than just moving my body, which kind of inhibits my enjoyment. I started getting into it more today, though. I did the 20 minute workout and then the ab workout for the first time, and it was great! ;)
from liquid-mojo :
Well yeah, even if it was just a few moments, they were really nice. Glad you like the outfit. :)
from falo :
Hi Acorn. Thank you for the very thoughtful note. Wish I had more to say, but for the moment, I am still around, reading, and have my fingers crossed for your husband getting the job that he wants. Again, thank you for your thoughtfulness, really appreciated. Best, O.
from liquid-mojo :
So far so good. My brain is still acting like it's on island time. I have today and tomorrow to gather my senses though because it's back to the read world this Monday. =/
from beckers-j :
Thanks for the info! I think I'm going to get it. I really wanted to try running, but I just can't motivate myself to do it because I know I'm going to hate it for at least the first few weeks (if not altogether). I'd probably be better off trying the running thing if I got myself into better shape before attempting it. Plus, Turbo Jam actually looks like it could be kind of fun in addition to being a good workout. I'll let you know how it goes. ;)
from beckers-j :
You have Turbo Jam, right? Is is really as good as I've heard?
from beckers-j :
I totally was on my hands and knees sniffing for pee! How did you know? ;)
from liquid-mojo :
actually, yeah I do feel a litle better. nothing like a good rant... =p
from discodave :
Lincoln logs? No idea what they are - got a link? (I'm lazy and get fed up trawling through google results...) Dxx
from liquid-mojo :
momma said knock you out! ;)
from discodave :
I think I once saw 5 guys get sent off (one for doing absolutely nothing but be confused for someone else). But yeah, it was slightly insane. Dxx
from beckers-j :
I thought it was funny, too. That's why I picked it! And there's nothing wrong with making yourself laugh - I crack myself up all the time. ;)
from liquid-mojo :
the thought is much appreciated.
from liquid-mojo :
I remember that song, it has a great philosophy, especially the drinking part. ;)Thanks for the comment.
from smedindy :
Thanks! It was my diaryring dealies. I deleted them and will put them back on. I think there's some issue because my stat counters not working either. Hmmm...
from pan-opticon :
It is le sent! Glad to see you and the hunk a burnin' love are doing well :)
from liquid-mojo :
I saw your diary in red and I had to look twice, squint really hard and slap myself to see if I was hallucinating... Anyway, welcome back. ;)
