Hey I got a post I'd like you to see.
from daath :
Hey! I kept remembering and forgetting to reply to your note. This semester has been incredibly busy. I hope you've been well, Geri. Life is about where I want it to be for the most part. Still trying to find direction for certain aspects, but the overall flow is cool. My best wishes to you.
from jewel8 :
Yours was the first on line diary I'd ever read. The entry was one about how sometimes people want to run away and start over someplace new, but when you get there things will be exactly the same because you'd still be you and all your baggage goes along too. (Of course I can't say it as well as you did) I thought what you said was so wise and true. anyway, I've prayed for you many times over the years and I wish you all the best in life. Jewel
from sweet-lilly :
Be okay. I love you. I'm a little down the drown with no words, but, I love you.
from holdenrevolt :

from holdenrevolt :

from holdenrevolt :
Congratulations gorgeous!
from o-twinkle-o :
i have a lot of images. y'sure?
from holdenrevolt :
thanks for the motivation dear. You come accross as a bright gall so your prase is duley noted, and rather appreciated.
from sinsear777 :
If you want a guys opinion, and an absolute strangers at that, the ex didn't call to chat. He called to rub your nose in it because he knows that you're insecure. Just my opinion, of course. Keep fighting the good fight and good luck at the pow-wow.
from holdenrevolt :
I think it has been at least over two years now that Ive read your diary. And Ive changed my name at least three times since then. I dont always read it, but Id say I do more than I dont. I like that we havent her crossed the line of casual observer. I think maybe that is the most therapeutic way for these diaries to work. I guess I said all that to say this: You seem to be sad more than your not, and current times are by no means the most dramatic or deepest, but there is a dense undertone of a kind of frantic or maybe scared sadness thats really disheartening, that Ive noticed as of late. I dont know what to say except that I hope you figure things out. You shine brighter than most when you shine at all.
from sweet-lilly :
I love you. Good thoughts I shall send you. I hope you're okay, and things are/will be okay. I wish I could come and have coffee with you. Bah. ~L xx.
from lifeintherye :
"things will change, and things will get crazy, and you will ask yourself 'who am i to be great?' well, who are you not to be great?"
from lifeintherye :
She pointed out that our waiter was cute. I thought his head was an odd shape and it suited him perfectly. I have this problem, no trait, where instead of seeing our cultures ideas of beauty, I base my attractions to someone on how interesting they look. And I dont mean if they look like they have an interesting personality, I mean pure physical interestingness. On a regular occasion I find myself quite attracted to people that most people would not find pretty at all. I dont know why I said all that I just got a kick out of how you worded someones odd head suiting them is all.
from lifeintherye :
Robbert Zimmerman (Bob dylan) was raised in my home town. They have a cafe (Zimmies) full of his stuff. Its neat. He rules.
from lifeintherye :
I share the excitement you get out of your packages. The internet is neat, no, amazing, but there is nothing that will ever replace the over-romantic youth-invoking smile-fest of getting real mail in a real mail box. E-mail just cant touch that. Mail is just not mail without a torn package to consecrate the gift it implies.
from sweet-lilly :
You're ever-so-ever-so welcome ma chere :) I hope that you're happier than you were and things are getting better. Love you! :) ~L xx.
from suta :
Oi oi! Nice diary! I like it and the layout is pretty too. ^_^V Go on like that.
from lady-frenzy :
By way of text message? That's harsh, doll... *peace*
from summersands :
I got rid of my cell phone, that text message feature can really do a number on you .. its more often than not a tool that creates for to many misunderstandings .. turn the phone off, regain your sanity. Keep your chin up.
from sweet-lilly :
Knock-y knock-y? Love you.
from robotheart :
all clear, button.
from sbbabe :
clicked on a banner.... so yeah, i love the pics on your diary page. in other rambling words, i love ur layout.
from revolution3 :
It's soooo cool to say "I Heart Tom Petty". Lovely music, darling. Peace.
from daath :
Teh awesome or some such. It's [email protected]
from daath :
Hey! I've been thinking about ya lately. Been too busy to get online, though. Maybe sometime soon, though.
from funda :
We left a note.
from candoor :
just wandering around and found your diary... I had hay fever and other allergies until my early twenties and then they just went away... hope your allergies go away one day :)
from might-could :
About your dad: my mother, whos type I diabetic lost weight really fast and ended up looking like when they released the Jews at the end of WWII. Her being of Jewish descent probably only helped to make this connection...Anyway, her blood sugars were way out of control. Im wondering w/ all the stresses on your daddy, if his internist or whomever watches his blood levels has been kept up-to-date? I know you need nothing else to worry over but I wanted to mention it because it happened to us & we just didnt get it until her 6 month checkup. Now shes checked every 6 weeks. About your illness/s: I was always taught if you caught something you COULD NOT get it again...then now w/ my respiratory injury, my breathing dr. told me ONE ABSOLUTELY CAN get the same thing again and even give it to yourself! So disinfecting things (I know youre clean but maybe a stronger stuff?) will help. Hugs to you! (4.4.05)
from jewel8 :
Glad to hear your dad is doing better.
from might-could :
Jesu, honey. I'm so sorry you're going through this and for your daddy too. Fucking idiots at the hospital. Gods. I'll include you both in our Healing Circle tonight. blessings
from jewel8 :
I'll be praying for your dad, and for you too.
from silentpoetry :
I like your layout, simple, but really pretty. My eyes nearly feel out staring at it. :)
from might-could :
Idea: pretend that instead of talking to a large, physical group of people, you're talking to those who read your diary, here. You do well here, knowing several people read...Like the idea of writing a book is so overwhelming that it's often suggested to pretend you're writing a friend, telling them the story. Bon courage!
from doc-sarvis :
Do you ice skate? I really enjoyed it. I actually can't wait to do it again!
from ray-andrew :
I didn't notice Neutral Milk Hotel was one of your favorite bands, before. In the Aeroplane Over the Sea is so gert-dermned amazin'~
from misfitstray :
I'll pray for your dad. I so wish that everything will be ok with him.
from might-could :
can't leave a guestbook entry from my work...aliens or something: safe trip, may you find the peace and strength which is already in you and may you feel comforted by the web of all which are connected to you. I will post to an interfaith discussion group of which I'm a part and many faiths will be doing what they can for your father and the loved ones (that's *you* too!). Peace
from pod-people :
i think its time you write something of...
from might-could :
iLife software (os 10 jaguar through panther) contains iPhoto and it does just that. There's iDVD in iLife too that makes WAY fancier movies but I don't have the superdrive to write 'em. I use my CD-R's with the iPhoto but of course, you can write DVD-R's with iPhoto too. Often digital cameras come with a little program for a slideshow--I haven't seen them offer the added music feature but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. If you know a mac person, visit them. If you know anyone w/ newer digital camera, I bet they'll have the freebie thing. Good luck
from ripetomato :
Your photo journal doesn't have a notes feature. I just wanted to say that homeless people tell me to cheer up ALL THE TIME! It's so embarrassing.
from might-could :
Aw! I'm not "real" in the sense that I only read your diary but I like you a lot! I'm sorta kinda a "friend"/ acquaintance!
from sweet-lilly :
Hello! Could you e-mail me your address again please? I appear to have lost it (somehow, I did have it tacked on my noticeboard, gerr), then I shall post you a parcel :) ~L xx.
from might-could :
Hi! I wanted to tell you *I* was all warm-fuzzy about the loan. That is so sweet when people you know had to scrounge for it to give it to you when you're really in need. I just now figured out (duh) that I *can* post a note...still not a guestbook entry from my job.
from jewel8 :
I hope it goes away soon too.
from sunnflower :
I'm so sorry about the job - that's very frustrating and disappointed. I think that means there's something better out there for you so hang on and keep trying. I think people were annoyed about the doll thing because it a hateful gesture. I hope you do something nice for Thanksgiving! Hugs to you. :)
from jewel8 :
Sorry you didn't get the job. Don't get too discouraged though, I read somewhere that Richard Bach's manuscript for Jonathan Livingston Seagull got rejected 50 times before it was finally published and it became a best seller. Personally I never quite 'got' that book. Thanks a lot for the nice comment on my brother/dad entry. take care.
from jewel8 :
praying with fingers crossed
from jewel8 :
Hi, I had often let others discourage me from doing things I wanted to do and to this day I wonder how my life may have been different if I would not have listened to negative people. There's no harm in trying. No matter what happens you'll not have to look back with regret. Take care.
from sweet-lilly :
Overseas love from moi, ~L xx
from jewel8 :
I read your blog every now and then and wanted to tell you that I'm always rooting for you. hang in there!

from cammella :
hey, I can't seem to add a guest book to my journal, I tried like 400 times and it doesnt work, my frind needs a template, but i cant get him on, I dont know how!hahaha, how lame am I?
from doc-sarvis :
That's ok. Detailing boring days is what blogging is for...Take the survey that's on my current entry page! It beats writitng a real entry...
from cammella :
Hey there, your banner kick's ass, im sorry to say, I KINDA know how you feel, I get it for always being the happy one, the one who makes you laugh, then when I'm down, I hear shit, it's like I am only alowed to make them happy,I'm not alowed to be sad, depressed or mad!I never got it then, and I can't understand it now
from doc-sarvis :

Your diary is really lovely. I see others have said the same drivel but I'm almost slacked jawed. My current diary is locked but the old one is ozarklily.diaryland.com. Cheers

from doc-sarvis :
Happiness is a 2 liter bottle of caffeine free diet coke, and a jar of pickled tomatoes...
from doc-sarvis :
Yup that's my cell phone. It's a motorola Vsomething or other...it's this one: http://tinyurl.com/35l3n It's cheap, and I like the 'clamshell' design because when I used to have a 'candybar' design (like a nokia) it used to call all of my friends all by itself when it was in my pocket.
from flattop :
hey! just read ur latest entry,,,i think it's very emotional, i like it...xxx
from kennethcole :
Thanks so much for the hug.
from silveress :
I LOVE ur layout. It's so beautiful, calming and serene. :)
from kennethcole :
Everything you do is fucking brilliant. You exude beauty. You are beautiful. I am addicted to your words.
from stupidshit :
why do you hope thats its not going to start for a few years? Personally I much rather see a Family Guy or a Futurama flick. Futurama seems like it would be easier to make. But whats up with your guestbook?
from straysparrow :
Hey, you know? I was just thinking that it had been a while since I had said hello as well... You beat me to it. But Hi back! While I'm thinking of it, you mentioned an photo diary... could I have a link? You can send it to the address on my D-land page (if you are so inclined, of course). Thanks. Sparrow.
from kennethcole :
Thanks a million. I used to read your diary a wile back. I dont remember why i stoped, but i do remember i liked it. I think ill start again
from the-h :
Oh Geri, you are so sweet. I've had my ups and downs but I've been all right. how are you doing?
from raveneys- :
Your diary is gorgeous. You write beautifully. Through your words I can almost feel what it is to live your life. Thank you for sharing yourself with the world...
from damodred :
I dreamt last night you made me this funky new guestbook just out of the blue. It was all cute and things, hehe.
from sunnflower :
Just let me know if you move your diary!
from straysparrow :
If you came to Vancouver, I would spend a day exploring the city with you if you wanted... Sparrow. xx.
from sunnflower :
Sorry about your uncle. It's hard to lose a family member who is so young.
from kennethcole :
You rock so f-ing much
from straysparrow :
Congratulations on your winnings! Sparrow. xx.
from sunnflower :
Puddles, boots, bubble baths, and art. They all work together when you write about it.
from doc-sarvis :
Thank you very much for the compliment! I totally think you should update more often. You're one of MY favorites to read...
from cassiopeia- :
Happy Valentine's Day! kisses, cassie
from doc-sarvis :
Your Valentine's Day entry is great. I can relate to a lot of it. Have fun this weekend...
from straysparrow :
"It's cool that you can accept that no one's going to love you!" Ouch. A touch insenstive if you ask me... but since I've never met her (or you for that matter), I'm not one to say. Boy or no boy, I prefer to spend V-day alone. Its a silly holiday. I'll be doing schoolwork, which suits me fine. Barricading yourself in your house sounds like the best plan. Have fun. Sparrow.
from madatmydesk :
I think that you and others that you have shared your password with can still access your private entries if your gold membership expires. You just aren't able to post new entries privately until you renew your membership. I hope that you aren't feeling down anymore. It's weird... winter days make me happy, winter nights leave me feeling sad. And during the summer, the days gets me down, but I love the nights. I'm cool during fall and spring usually. Looking forward to your next post.
from orangina21 :
yeah, that's the tricky part... where to?
from straysparrow :
Hey there. I was thinking about what you wrote, about telling him you wanted to be friends and now realizing that maybe you wanted more... of all of the possible situations, I think that this one is the easiest to fix. Just go up to him, give him a big old smooch, and tell him that you were confused but now you've got it straight. Even if he's changed his mind (which is unlikely if you act fast, but possible) you still get a big old smooch out of it, so I figure either way you win! *grin* Anyway good luck. Sparrow.
from la-the-sage :

from ninjajesus :

from jc4fifty :
Hi.I just happened to click your banner and...it led me here I guess.Cool diary,anyway...
from treewillow :
Happy Birthday, I hope you have a wonderful day. And if you don't mind me saying, I would be honest with her. Tell her how you feel, tell her that yes some people do last who have only known each other for a short time. But one has to be sure that's who they want to spend forever with. And I love your layout.
from dizzigemini :
"this isn't about me"......entry. life is about stumbeling...and if you try to stop from stumbeling, u tend to fall, yet if you go with the stumbeling you tend to correct your self.... well, maybe "miss bride to be" is stumbeling, and all she needs is to fall on her ass, and appreciate you once AND FOR ALL...or she'll correct herself and learn from it all. Personally, I think chics suck. Females are the death of females. So many evil back stabbing-bitches out there. Your damned if you do and damned if you don't. All my friends are guys, and I do have, like, 3 female friends, and we tell eachother our every thought. like the "sex in the city" chics. But...u have to ask yourself, u you can't be totally honost and open with her, what is the value of such a "friendship". As I see it, if you tell her your concerns, shes going to act out of doubt and accuse you of being jealous or wanting her man...(yuck)...or shes going to write you offf. Your almost better at keeping your thoughts to yourself and laughting at the situation as it unfolds.....yes? I would. But then again, I am jaded to the emotions of females. thats my 2 cents.
from myramains :
Hiya. I found your diary through your "meh" banner. I have a friend who "meh"s so often, I thought she could be you...but I don't think so. (Still not totally sure!) I had to leave you a note because I stared at the pictures on your page like a domestic ostrich eyeing a shiny button. Beautiful moon shots...I loves me some moon. Just had to write and tell you that I'm kicking myself that I didn't think of that first, dangit, and that's why my page has an ugly-ass blurry still from my favorite film on it. A pox on you! (heh. I kid.) I enjoyed reading, too...and I'll be back. G'night!~ MyraMains
from lespapillons :
hey- just wanted to drop a line and tell you that i really enjoy reading your diary. -kim
from hayduke72 :
Thanks! That's the nicest thing anyone's said to me in a while. I like reading your site too, and I hope you can straighten your friend out...
from endquotation :
I'm going through a similar thing with a close friend of mine (engaged at 18). All you can do is hope for a long engagement (or suggest a long engagement). Good luck!
from chiv :
Yeah, when I move in with you Imma steal that guy's phone when we run into him some night. He'll be talking into his hand for a second before he even knows what's hit him, and I'll make jokes about how his hand is his friend, and how he loves his hand, and how his hand loves him, but only for his money, and how he's a wanker. Score one for the scrawny kids.
from sunnflower :
Happy New Year to you too! I think your diary is excellent and I am glad that you are considering staying put.
from sweet-lilly :
Happy New Year ~L xx
from sunnflower :
Wishes you joys of the holiday season!
from la-douleur :
yeah, it's called alegra. Works like whoa! My Dad's a doc, so if you can't squeeze any out of your local dude for free [they're given samples by drug reps] then just e-mail me with your address & I could try to mail you some to get there before christmas eve. Call it my holiday gift to you.
from carnageus :
Damnit, I think I saw you about earlier, but I was tied up with something. I don't have yahoo messenger anymore, because...well, long story, little interest. Mail me at [email protected] when you have a second. And thank you!
from straysparrow :
I had a peeping tom once. I had a basement apt and I was working at the computer when my roomate saw someone standing at my window. He wasn't even 3 feet away from me. I was shaking all over. My roomate wanted to chase him down and beat the crap out of him. In the end we called the cops. There wasn't much they could do except increase their presence. Still it made me feel better to know that I had done something. Good luck. Sparrow.
from la-douleur :
Excuse me if this seems exreemly stalker-ish of me, but I happen to think that you're one of the damned greatest things since [not sliced bread] but perhaps... Kurt Vonnegut. I left you a note before as beguile-me. I was wondering if you had AIM, and if so, if I could obtain your screen name. I appologize for any cardiovascular failure caused as you laugh your ass off at my obscure, loser-ness.
from chiv :
Yes, yes she did. Lots of it, mind (assuming we're talking about the youalike and not jen). How goes? I am super lonely but I have yoghurt and ginger beer if you fancy popping round.
from the-actorguy :
I love Ani too. The particular song was "Both Hands." The significance is a long story, but I thing you get the idea. Thanks for your note!
from ninjajesus :

from sunnflower :
It's not easy being an artist. My brother does photographic art pieces that are exquisite and he has gotten a lot of recognition but it is not enough and he is always struggling. You have to sell your soul to Hallmark it seems to make a living with photos. Hang in there - dear artist.

thankyou much for the birthday note! :)
from starlight42 :
Thanks for the b-day wishes. Sorry to hear you are down :(
from straysparrow :
You know, I've been thinking about this... and not just because the boy I thought was different is in the process of self-destructing. 99.9% of all relationships fail. In theory you will only ever have ONE relationship that will work... because as soon as you get to that one you stop having relationships. So it doesn't matter if all the boys you've ever dated were dumb. You only need to pick well once. Somehow I find that thought slightly comforting. Sparrow.
from hot-crumpets :
Hey sweeheart :) I'll mail you a code in the morning, I promise. I'm sorry I've not been around much. I've been so tired lately that typing has just become a big chore, but I'm trying to get around that. take care, sweetheart xx

In your last entry you signed off - Goodnight moon. It got me thinking about the restorative power of children's fiction. Goodnight Moon is such a peaceful book. Just reading it to a kid always relaxed me and made me feel happier. There are lots of kids books like that. Might be worth a try!

Congratulations on 3 days without smoking! The first 3 weeks or so are the worst if I remember correctly (I quit 2 years ago). Oh yeah, and for some strange reason the one year anniversary is dangerous... something about the nostalgia I guess... ah well. Sparrow

Hello! I just added a review for the new self-titled Liz Phair album and thought you may be interested. There are a bunch of other reviews you may enjoy here, too, including Coldplay and the White Stripes. Check it out, thanks!
from straysparrow :
Sometimes all that the soul needs is a little piece of home to make it feel better. I don't come from a reservation, but I do know there is something about the familiarity of home that can never be matched. For me its the distinct mix of french and english that only seems to make sense in Montreal that I long for... my slang is forced to change as soon as I leave the city. If it will make you feel better, save up to pay your friend back... but it is things like this that old friends are for (especially if you've already done the same for her). I looked at the pictures of you you put up a while back... you are beautiful by the way.
from sweet-lilly :
Meh, I'm not sure if you sent me an e-mail or not, but... When I got that note I'd just deleted a load of 'junk mail' so if you have... Could you send it again? ^_^ ~L xx

I still say go with "Whitey Immigrant Day". Since you're not online for another four hours or so, I have (or rather, I will) spent some of the time looking up Northern Shawl. Interesting, and of course its NEW INFORMATION and we so greatly love new information.... and can I just say I fucking hate signmyguestbook ever since their serves became unreliable, glitchy, and refuse to let you update more than twice a decade.
from sweet-lilly :
Smile! ^_^ Huggles and smoochies, ~L xx
from sweet-lilly :
*Claps hands together* Well, I love making CD's for people too... You'll need to tell me vaguelly the kind of stuff you like, unless you want a very interesting surprise... ~L xx
from damodred :
*hugs* I really hate icky creepy touchy feely guys too. *shudder*
from sweet-lilly :
Give me an address to send it to and I'll make you a mix-CD ^_^ ~L xx
from porcelaina :
Hey, I've locked my diary. your username is porcelaina and the password is tf, that is if you'd still like to read it :).
from sunnflower :
I can totally understand every drop of how you felt about the Violet situation. The thing is - even though it is a drag for you right now - in a way you have been set free from an attachment to someone who is not a great person for you and probably anyone. I can say this because it has been my personal experience. That doesn't make it easy. Take care.
from weymouth66 :
Thanks for the birthday wishes, love x x
from bluambition :
Hey moonshine! I haven't been on in a long time! I would like a layout if you don't mind... just tell me where I need to insert it, and I would so appreciate it!
from hijinks :
Happy Easter, as opposed to birthday which I just typed, I have jet lag it's not my fault. Come live in London, maybe then I won't hate it so much.
from sunnflower :
Hi from Suburban Island. I always walk away from reading your diary entries feeling thoughtful and like I have spent my time wisely. I have also been creative while listening to Tom Petty and find myself writing late at night - often to my regret in the early morning. Such is life!
from emmalola :
good to read your diary. pleased to meet you. -lola
from hollyt :
I keep getting googled for various zach braff inquiries like daily now. Cute, huh?
from bejaluna :
As depressing as it may be "Hey Jupiter" is my song. At least, it's one that I tend to return to the most. Too freaky of me. :)
from justlaugh :

from fantabulouss :
Hey. I just wanted to say that I think it's great the way you handled it when those losers threw the glass at you. They wanted a reaction and you didn't give them one. It's so sad that in this day and age you still have to put up with crap like that. Oh yeah, and I think your layout totally rocks!
from wigmo :
Thank you.
from giallothang :
and extension after my last note in your guestbook: that... and I'm smitten with the idea of a moonshine original in my bedroom. ;)
from sunnflower :
Hi - I understand how sad it is to loss a friend to suicide. I lost a dear friend about six years ago and I feel bummed when I realize I can't burn a CD of new songs to share with him or call him on the phone for some support and good conversation. You have a right to feel sad about it and I can understand why you felt so angry that someone was speaking badly about her after her death.
from jen69 :
happy birthday hope you have a great day. jen
from porcelaina :
Funny how you said you fall in love with bug eyed boys. And I thought I was the only one ;). I hope this doesn't sound rude, but what is your Native American group (I never know what to call that anymore; group, tribe etc.) I'm part of your ring and just thought I would introduce myself. 1/8 Abenaki 1/16 Micmac. Though I feel like a full blood. Most "mixed bloods" I know feel the same way.
from sunnflower :
Hi - Just stopping by to wish you a happy New Year from the heart of Suburban Island.
from starrinite :

from slapmeharder :
hey sugar, thankyou for asking...wow...I didn't think anyone would notice. But I'm taking down all those entries because freaky shit is going down in my life....people saying things about me...and having all that information lying around about my evil deeds is making me nervous...it will open again soon...albeit empty....I might go through and edit them....but that's not really the spirit of a diary is it? gosh people suck. not you though! hee
from chiv :

from giallothang :

Hey Geri. Thanks for checking back on my diary and leaving a note. It's cool to know that someone actually reads that thing. :) I've been updating a lot more. Thanks for always keeping yours updated.
from damodred :
i signed. :)
from hollyt :
Geri... get the hell out of Canada, come down here, we'll get a place together, we can be roommates, bring Alvin, we'll all be happy, sit around BS, bitch, party, whatever... I bet it would make both our lives easier. You know, truly and honestly, you are the only girl I know right now that I can get along with. Do you understand what kind of pedistol that puts you on? A person should always be aware of how much they are appreciated by other people, it is a valuable thing to know.
