I liked opiates and psychedelics much, much better than meth or coke in the 80s... I'd rather drift languidly through the scene than be wired. The last thing I need is to be *more* intense and edgy.

I had that with chocolate as a boy. At age one, a chocolate shake stopped my heart and I had to be jump-started. Even at 10 chocolate made me violently ill. And then...it just went away. Still don't do much milk, though.

I'll agree on the champagne. Absolutely. I remember drinking Taittinger's to Golden Earring's "Candy's Going Bad" in a club in NYC in an era where style was still key.
