A Day In The Life

I've moved!

I will no longer be updating on Diaryland, and can now be found at http://blueonyellow.livejournal.com.

The bio info still applies, though.

Let's see... I was born on the 19th of April, 1978 at Vandenberg Air Force Base.

I'm fascinated by history, particularly ancient Egyptian and American history, but history in general is quite a passion for me.

I'm into science, and tend to lean toward the skeptical side, but at the same time, I think that some things which science can't explain shouldn't necessarily be immediately dismissed.

I'm a pacifist, pro-life, anti death penalty, vegetarian, and a member of Amnesty International.

My favorite music:

The Beatles
comments: The greatest band there will ever be. Plain and simple.
Justin Timberlake
comments: A ridiculously tallented and wonderful person!
James Blunt
comments: My favourite British solo artist who was never in a band.
Beyonce
comments: My favourite female artist. My favourite woman period, actually. I adore Beyonce!
Other
comments: Coldplay, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Neyo, The Kinks, Elton John, Bob Dylan, The Who, Charlotte Sometimes, Fall Out Boy (learn more about the forced combat crisis in Northern Uganda at www.invisiblechildren.com)...

My favorite movies:

Across the Universe
comments: A magical cinematic masterpiece which incorporates memorable characters and a solid story with songs from the greatest band in history. Besides that, I'm completely in love with Max!
The Darjeeling Limited
comments: A heartwarming and often whimsical film that deals with the absurdity and necessity of family against the backdrop of a beautiful and sometimes confounding land.
Chicken Little
comments: A delightful romp into a wonderland of retro geekiness and heartwarming goofiness.
Yellow Submarine
comments: My favourite Beatles movie. It is such a delight of colour, sound, and imagination. Also, Jeremy kicks booty!
Labyrinth
comments: This is my favourite movie from when I was a kid. Sarah reminds me a lot of me. The story is great. The music is awesome. The puppetry rivals much of the computer animated things around nowadays, and to top it off, I just want to give Ludo a big hug!

My favorite authors:

Homer
comments: The Iliad is my favourite story ever, and The Odyssey is also very cool.
John Lennon
comments: His delightful stories and poems have inspired me to no end.
J.R.R. Tolkien
comments: The author of the LotR books of course. Always better than the movies.
"Children's" Book Authors
comments: From Lewis Carroll to E.B. White and beyond, the books these authors write are enjoyable at any age.
Douglas Adams
comments: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is an incredibly unique, funny and wholly wonderful series.

update April 6, 2020: Sorry, we just had 8+ hours downtime due to a server problem. Restoring from backups took soooo long, but everything is back and no data was lost. Ay yay yay! Anyhow, hope everyone is well with the virus stuff.
