| Hiya - I had a go on that Zyban. You start it a week before you want to stop. Out of the group of 10 at my doctor's, 8 gave up, one didn't and one (me) had a very nasty reaction. It's a form of Prozac and needs to be monitored carefully, but most of them found they'd lost the desire to smoke and had virtually stopped before their deadline. So I would say give it a go, but make sure there's someone who can keep an eye out for any dodgy moods. Stopping smoking can only be a great idea. And I've been loving the unfolding drama, even without the esoteric background films! Your mum sounds great. All the best, xx |
