Friendships definitely ebb and flow. I've found it is not a personal reflection on who we are, it's all about the demands of life, family, career, etc. That helped whenever my feelings got hurt.

I am not actually seeing the guy anymore and I never had any proof he was seeing other people, but I just had this GUT FEELING that maybe I was just "a bit on the side" I had no proof and with an 80 mile distance barrier, I have seen no evidence of his "personal" life. So, as it happened he dropped me before I had a chance to drop him. Damn! Funny that I seem to be thinking of him now though. :)

When you get to feeling this way, the only thing you can do is retreat and apply radical self-care. I know you have a lot going on this week, but hopefully, you can take a little bit of time to do something kind for yourself. That's great that you feel that way. It took me getting rid of my husband to find that comfort in myself and my confidence has rocketed in the past few months. It's good to be good and comfortable with who you are. Go Moee!!!!!!

I'm doing it without the gym. I have an exercise cycle and use that 30 mins per day. It cost 1/3 of the price of an annual gym membership. And though I don't get the variety of a gym, I stick to it cos I know I can do it. I know it's not easy and I do have a diet diary which is locked, if you ever want a look let me know and I'll pass on details. I have lost over 30lbs since my new "burst" in May and it's still coming off. If I can do it, anyone can. Good Luck to you!!!!!!!!Becca

I really do feel for ya an know exactally what your going thru-its very scary not feeling comfortable in your own surroundings-I hope your problems dont get as bad as ours did-we had the cops showing us where to shoot people if they came in our house-they told us not to shoot them in the back cause that meant they were trying to leave and we could be charged-wtf-if someone is in our house we're going to shot them anywhere we can!! lol I hope your neighbor is ok-that illness sounds really bad!!

Simultaneous Pneumothorax. I had one (luckily only 10%) years ago. I was in the hospital fo 8 days. They let mine inflate on it's own since it wasn't athe whole lung. The blisters are called "blebs" and 10 of the whole population has them. Anywhere you have one, the tissue is thinner, allowing them to burst sometimes. Mine was caused to burst because at the time, I weighed 100 pounds and my son weighed 33 and wasn't walking yet. I was carrying around 1/3 of my own weight. I hope hers heals quickly and she gets back to normal soon.

I just cant be bothered to do anything, I am fed up with everything. :) Think they cost at least £60 ($80-$100) per hour in the UK. But it might be better where you are.

FLASHBACK~your entry made me think of a time when we lived in our first home where the neighborhood was horriable-these teenagers-yes they were the same race that you were talking about-they had nothing better to do then break glass bottles in front of our house and my husband told them to stop and they jumped him and stabbed him in the back with some posthole diggers-didnt really go in deep-and our kids where in the yard watching they were 2 and 4 at the time-i ran in and got the gun and they ran away and the police came and did nothing and the boys were walking down the street...sucks when you dont feel safe in your own home!!!

if you are concerned get an appointment but I am TERRIBLE for these things too. They just shock you and sometimes other "symptoms" are coincidences that happen 1 in every few months but you read it and think "I had that too!!!" Try not to worry too much hun and take care of yourself. Becca

I can understand your feelings about Kel coming over for dinner. But just take it for what it is -- sometimes it is not worth it to keep a relationship going when you are doing more of the work to keep it going. But sometimes, it IS worth it - the person may be going through something that is taking all of their energy to internalize (as it seems Kel has been doing the last couple of years), but after they resolve that issue, they may wake up and realize what a good friend you've been and you'll be glad you stuck in there. Remember, just being someone's friend shouldn't cost a lot -- emotionally or any other way. Don't bend over backwards doing favors for them or anything -- just love them, for them, and don't expect anything from them, and you'll find you are happy with what you do receive and happy with what time you do get. That is how all my best friendships have worked. Also, friendships do change with age, and while you may have been extremely close to Kel years ago, maybe now your life has expanded and her place in it is different. Just like you yourself grow and change, so do all your relationships because of that. Some friendships kind of shift and other ones take its place and come to the forefront. Kind of like over the last couple of years you have made new friends and our friendship has grown. Just remember, lots of people adore you and love to be around you. And let whatever happens with Kel be just what it is. If you go into this friendship with no expectations (which are planned resentments!), and you STILL wind up feeling like crap then it isn't worth it. If you say to yourself, "this is a friend I probably will only see once or twice a year because she's got a lot of stuff going on" you will find yourself enjoying those times instead of thinking of all the times she couldn't come over. OK, that's my 10 cents worth -- quite a bit longer than 2 cents worth so, sorry so long winded! (but are you surprised?)

Vertigo, from what I understand, is a swelling of the innner ear. So I guess it could triggered by changes in the weather. The doctor told me that it can be triggered by headaches, colds, flu, and infections also. So basically anything.

i went to the dr. today and she is putting me on some kind of patch to see if that helps with my vertigo-but the pharmacy just called and said they dont have any in stock and probably wont until the 15th so i guess i'll have to try another place or just wait-i'll let you know if it helps me...

Kids have bursts of independent behavior which we need to guide and "control" without them knowing. He may be feeling he is old enough to do certain things and not trying to be out and out naughty. Using taking away as a punishment may not be working, how about earning treats and activities? For example, he has a good voice/behavior day, the next day you take him for a scooter ride while you walk for 15-20 minutes. With my younger I have to be positive opposed to negative (just his personality). Good luck!

I think we're hypersensitive nowadays to the whole violence thing. I remember when I was a kid I drew those kinds of pictures of "rotten teachers." My kids did things like that too and they are mostly okay now. Hang on, it's a matter of self expression and maybe a starting point for some really good and revealing discussions with him.

Is there any way Todd could see the counselor to have him explain what's going on, rather than you doing it? Todd may be more receptive (probably giving him way too much credit here) to hearing it from the counselor than you. I know what you mean about staying in the nest, but I keep getting pulled out every day and evening. Ugh. Feel better, Sweetie.

Bubba being "lost" was so scary! My boys are 14 (today) and 16 and they still have to check in with me as soon as they get somewhere (a couple of times). I'm so glad everything worked out. I wish a relaxing Saturday, Y.

One thing that I found is that the SuperGold membership is worth it because it allows people to comment on specific entries (which means you get more comments in general than when you have just notes and a guestbook). I think folks are just more likely to leave a note if it is easy to refer to a specific entry. I also think you should consider some banners. I'll even make you one if you don't know how!

I totally agree, I hate it when people judge outside appearances never getting to know the real person. I am like you, I always try to figure out what is truly inside the person before deciding what I think. A lot of times if you invest the time, most people are worth knowing! And some people are a blessing to know, like you!

Lovey, make the call. I put calling off for decades. Now that I am visiting a therapist on a regular basis my life has changed for the better and my level of peace of mind has shot through the roof! Do it. Do it for yourself. You are so worth it.
