i check once in awhile but it's pretty dead
from h2ophobic :
How are you doing? I miss you! I tried to send this to the email on your diary, but it said the username was unknown. The link is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uSsSf80K7k If that doesn't work, go to youtube and search for Shelby PBS. Take care!
from h2ophobic :
More please. Pretty please with sugar on top. Pretty please with strawberry shortcake on top! P.S. Ignore this deadhead character...I LOVE your diary (when you write ;o)
from deathhead000 :
dont like your diary i think your life is rubbish
from h2ophobic :
I just thought I'd drop by and say HI. I miss you!
from harakiri :
Take care of yourself! (I'm one to talk lol) Lets see 2 year old girl gift eh... well Anna's almost 2 and she'd love cars lol cause thats what Eli loves so she loves them too hehe. Books are good, big chunky book with big pictures she can point to and ask "This?" Drawing/scribbling is really popular, maybe those washable markers. Hm, what else? As the mom I always appreciate clothes a few size bigger so she has stuff to grow into. There are some good Melissa & Doug wooden toys on Amazon, we have a few on our wish list for the kids, including- http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00009WBWK/ref=wl_it_dp/102-9062566-9918565?ie=UTF8&coliid=I3NPU0YZ5FT4JF&colid=2W8ULDM4GYC6Q Really at that age anything you give will be good. :)
from h2ophobic :
I was SO glad to hear from you. I had decided that you'd quit Dland and stopped checking you. Yay, you're back!
from wanders :
Hey! I'm a red-headed stepchild. :-) If you do figure out how to get rid of bad car karma, let me know; I need a little bit of that myself.
from mydiet2006 :
Good to see you back. I thought you had given up. :) Good luck for the future.
from harakiri :
I'm still here. :D *hugs*
from wanders :
Glad to see you updated. I'm still reading!
from noaddedme :
Glad you are back!
from mydiet2006 :
sure you can. u/n secret p/w dietlog thanks for following me. How are things with you anyway? All going well?
from wanders :
Thanks for the good ideas. I'll have to try that damp rid because it is just not drying out. The things we go through with our cars!
from harakiri :
Hope you guys are well!
from h2ophobic :
I just stopped by to say HI. I love that you're writing again. Good luck with the pool.
from harakiri :
Hey Marilynn, do you have PCOS? A few close friends of mine have irregular cycles jsut like you descried and they both have PCOS.
from harakiri :
amen
from h2ophobic :
I've missed you. I always enjoy your entries and am so glad you're happy in your new home.
from wellnessplan :
Thanks for adding me. That's a great story about your keys!
from h2ophobic :
I have to admit it...I would have put my keys in the trunk! Have a great Tuesday!
from mydiet2006 :
Just thought I would pop in and say hi. I have had diaries on diaryland for many years but this time it is REALLY personal. Feel free to drop by me too. Good luck to losing weight in 2006. I am currently the same weight as you so I know what it is like to fight the fat. So I have added you to my faves and wishing you all the best.
from h2ophobic :
I'm so sorry to hear about your mother in law. My prayers and thoughts are with you both.
from yarnsmith :
Happy New Year
from yarnsmith :
I had a good chuckle over your pedicure. When my daughter was in beauty school she learned to do them and hated it. They called the soaking water "foot juice" and once she spilled it all over herself and couldn't change clothes until she got home. This is why she went into hair and not feet.
from h2ophobic :
Merry, merry, merry Christmas! Thanks for all the moments of laughter you've brought into my life this year! I look forward to and always enjoy your entries.
from h2ophobic :
Congratulations! What comes next? Boxes...lots of boxes. Boxes to fill and then boxes to empty. Did you buy the house with the swimming pool?
from wanders :
That is terrible. At least the two of you are safe. Hang in there. Maybe the push for buying a house will work out for the best in the end! :-)
from yarnsmith :
Congratulations on your marriage. Sounds like it was a wonderful vacation/honeymoon/wedding.
from fatqueen :
Thanks for the NOTE -- and CONGRATS!! I can't wait to see the PICS!!!!!
from h2ophobic :
Congrats you sneaky little girl! Of course I didn't think you were a brazen hussy! Good little southern girls are rarely brazen! ;) I guess I forgot that you're a transplanted southern girl.
from h2ophobic :
OK, give it up! Did you & Michael get married?
from harakiri :
whoza, what? Joke? Serious? You get hitched?
from h2ophobic :
I miss you! I really enjoy your entries. I hope all is well!
from h2ophobic :
I'm so glad you're home safe and sound!
from swirl-girl :
Woah, that's good GOOD news to hear. I'm glad everyone is safe and sound. Take care!
from wanders :
Very glad to hear that you both are safe and sound! :-)
from h2ophobic :
I've been thinking about you...hopefully you're safe in some hotel (with room service and a hot tub) waiting to go home. Please update when you can. I'm thinking about and praying for you guys!
from wanders :
Take care of yourselves! I'll be keeping my fingers-crossed for you and your belongings.
from summersands :
Hope Rita passes you by and you and your family are safe.
from starlight42 :
someone else trying to lose weight!! good going so far. :)
from wanders :
I wouldn't read you if you sucked, and Yes, I still read.
from h2ophobic :
OK girlie...straighten up them shoulders! I READ YOUR ENTRIES (and isn't that all that counts - did you forget that it's all about me?) P.S. And you do NOT suck! I don't hang out with people that suck. I'm very strict about that! ;-) I know it's hard to write sometimes; don't try to 'entertain' just talk. (That's advice I got from Shelby.) Hugs from Montana!
from rdhdprincess :
Oh my goodness! The veet! That is so something that I would do! Feel better! Good luck on your weight loss! I'm great at giving support if you ever need it. Good luck!
from h2ophobic :
Thanks for your kind note. How are things there? Hot? Humid? Update please!
from h2ophobic :
I am so sorry to hear about Michael's mom. You'll all be in my prayers!
from h2ophobic :
Thanks for your note. Shopping, preparing and cooking CONSTANTLY is definitely the worst part about SBD. I'm pretty lucky though, our favorite restaurant has an entire LO CARB menu, so if we want to eat out, I can eat pretty well. Hang in there girl, this is about my millionth try at weight loss too. I've pretty much resigned myself that I'll be doing this (on again, off again) for the rest of my life. If only I could develop an allergy to fat and sugar...I'd be set!
from h2ophobic :
I'm so sorry to hear about your back. Back pain is the worst...except for maybe toothaches! Hopefully the swimming will help. I'm also sorry to hear about the HOT weather as we're still in the 50's and 60's. Maybe the MT and TX weather can get together and find a happy medium!
from swirl-girl :
Did you read that 65 THOUSAND people did the B2Bs?! I'm so sad I couldn't do it because of work, I saw the paper the next day and it looked like so much fun. I hope your trip was a good one! I really love SF. I've only been to Oakland once for a concert and I've never gotten to Sausalito or Napa Valley yet. Take care!
from yarnsmith :
Thankyou for adding me to your favorites. Always nice to meet a new buddy. In reading some of your past entries, I noticed that you were NOT a Constantine fan. I loved him up until his last two weeks, then he got greasy and icky and didn't thrill me. I heard some music from his band and they suck. The idiot is throwing away what could have been a great Pop career for his hard rock which he doesn't do well. I look forward to reading more.
from restlessmind :
No wonder you kept screwing up your nose at me when I told you I wanted to go to the theater to see "Constantine"!
from swirl-girl :
HAHAHA!!!! I screeched like a banshee when Seacrest made the announcement. I thought, here we go, the drama, "Constantine.....you....are.....SAFE!" So when he said buh-bye I couldn't believe it!!!!! You know the rumor, right? That the producers were peeved because his lame-o band signed a distribution deal for their CD (with William Hung's label) and Constantcheeze found a loophole to get out from underneath the AI contract that would keep him tied up for a long time. Hey, I don't care who it was -- America or the producers -- I'm just glad he's gone! GONE! GONE! GONE!!
from gonzostar :
whoa! you know i'm in santa rosa now, but i went to high school in livermore! we have parallel lives... scary!
from swirl-girl :
HAHAHHA! I read a "spoiler" page and tonight's theme is supposed to be "Broadway." Producers way of giving Conman an edge (considering he was in RENT for pete's sake)? I'm so glad you will be at our party tonight in spirit, we will bash doubly hard for you! :)
from h2ophobic :
A man who cleans WITHOUT being asked??? You should keep him!
from chubbymum :
Glad to read your entry today... welcome back.
from chubbymum :
Where are ya girl!! Miss your diary entries.
from forty-plus :
Thank you for joining The Wellness Party Plan diary ring! I hope we can be an encouragement to each other.
from fatqueen :
That was a great entry about the Veggies. Thanks for making me smile. Um, I don't normally carry cash, so he would've been out of luck. I'll be interested to see if you get a call or a refund.
from notaboutthin :
I wouldn't have even stopped. Nope, no way. If he looked like he was w/o even a cell phone I might have called the police for him, but eh. Heart o' ice ... that's me :)
from gonzostar :
i almost never give my money to anyone who asks. i wouldn't have even stopped. i guess i am cold hearted, but i think of it more as creeped out by begging.
from h2ophobic :
Funny, funny entry! Good luck on your new plan. I'm hoping warm weather (if it EVER comes) will entice me to get my butt (and other body parts) moving again!
from chubbymum :
I like having my Wednesday's off too. It is great for the soul to have time to yourself and if you don't want to get dressed then so be it. Sad to hear that you are not liking being back at work... it is the worst thing not liking being somewhere... mind you I could always find somewhere better than work he he he like on a island somewhere reading a book ahhhhhh bliss. Anyway thinking of you. Chubbymum
from h2ophobic :
I just went in to read your old entries...and I have a question. I used to work for an insurance company in CA and absences were referred to as "occurances." I'm wondering if you work for the same company. Do you work for FIG? I worked at their Simi Valley Regional Office for 6 years. I've been trying to remember if they had a regional office in Houston. No biggie, I was just curious because you used the word occurance. P.S. How was your "back to work" day?
from h2ophobic :
Good luck today! I hope the day flies by and you are NOT exhausted at the end of it!
from chubbymum :
I would have been the same if paget (cat 12 years old)was at the vets... I hate hearing him groan when we take him in the car to the vet's I feel like the meanest woman in the world.
from swirl-girl :
Yeah, yeah, you just *happened* to be flipping through the channels last night and stumbled across AI (and formed a split-second opinion of Constantine in the process). I see. :) Oh, I know how it feels to drop your baby off. I cried like a fool when I dropped my Daisy off to be spayed. I cried when I called the vet's to see if she was okay. I cried when I picked her up. We love our furkids, nothing wrong with that!
from chubbymum :
Thanks Marilyn. I would love it if you joined the group when I have it up and running. My email is [email protected] can you send an email to me and I will email you when I have it up and running. THANKX
from pandionna :
Hi! Please drop me a line at pandionna2 at aol dot com. I don't see an e-mail for you here (though I could be missing it!), and I don't want to leave the password out in public. Muah!
from skinnyblog :
Hi Marilyn! Thanks for commenting and noticing that I had been slacking. Sounds like your casino trip was adventurous! Hope the weightloss is going well too and I especially hope that the healing is going well. :) Feb 19/05
from wanders :
I still read! And I don't mind the funny casino stories. I'd much rather read about your adventures then your entries when you were in so much pain. Keep up the good work with PT!
from h2ophobic :
I'm still reading! Sometimes the words are in your brain to put here and sometimes they're not...I'll wait patiently!
from chubbymum :
Glad you are back posting. Missed your entries. Have a great day!
from chubbymum :
Keep your chin up! It is hard making friends when you get older I know... I have said that to my hubby many a time. I want the close friends I used to have in high school back again but we have all moved to different places. I miss it too! So I can understand how frustrating it is when you think you have a friend and they abuse your friendship. Have you considered joining a club or something or going out and learning something new and meet people that way? BTW I love reading your diary Thank you
from gonzostar :
i had that problem with david. both when i had my surgery and was bored all day till he got home, and also because i didn't know anyone here. my office is small, i don't have friends here. so i used the site friendster.com and met a few people in the area. it's worked so far!
from wanders :
Thank you very much. I feel foolish complaining after reading about everything you have been going through. You are a much stronger person than I. Keep up the good work! PS--Bucko is adorable..I want one!
from chubbymum :
Love the pictures of the kitty... sooo cute.
from kitchenlite :
Oh, duh, now I remember, I already added you to my buddy list...that's how I read your entry today. Perhaps I'm not getting enough protein and just losing brain cells on this diet?
from kitchenlite :
I LOVE Weight Watchers. Funny, I just posted an entry all about WW and how you don't have to join to follow the plan. Go check it out and keep posting your success (and your need for motivation). I'll be adding you to my buddy list and checking in with you to see how you're doing. (Like I'm the person in charge or something?)
from h2ophobic :
I understand your frustration. I didn't drive for 3 weeks after my surgery and was pretty scared to do it for the first few days. Not because I'm not a good driver, but I didn't feel like my BRAIN was functioning well enough to make sure I did it correctly.
from swirl-girl :
I hope you feel better soon. I've been so depressed lately too. I'm on a new med, Cymbalta, and it seems to be helping. I'm back to exercising regularly and eating well. It's a tough time of year, try to stay positive.
from runninginsf :
thanks for checking in! doing fine, just all wrapped up in life junk! How are you doing?
from fatqueen :
Steroids will MAKE you feel tired and sluggish, but also give you the weeps and keep you climbing the walls at night. It will go away... I promise! Good Job on returning the Christmas items... I HATE returns. Thanks also for the kinds words you left me!
from bubaloo :
Sorry that you aren't feeling well. I hope the new year finds you feeling much better. I'll stay tuned.
from h2ophobic :
Happy 2005! I hope the coming year brings you a wonderful life, free from pain and full of the joy and peace that you deserve!
from runninginsf :
Thanks for the note! You made me blush! How are you feeling?
from runninginsf :
Hope you are feeling better and I'm sending you good wishes for a fast, healthy recovery! Happy Belated Birthday!!!

from runninginsf :
ooohhhh I like short!
from runninginsf :
Keep up the good work! I'm glad you feel comfortable in the fc, that will only bring about more motivation! Keep it up! I'm proud of you!
from runninginsf :
Thank you so much for leaving the kind note. It really helped me put lots of things into perspective. I think I have been overly-focused on the eating/working out thing lately, that I just needed to lay all my feelings out to regroup. Thanks again for your support.
from krugerpak007 :
Well done! (Damn hotdogs...)Keep up the good work. I am going to come back for some of your motivation....xoxo Kathy
from gonzostar :
kristin from "pigs do fly" posted all the stuff over at our weightloss board, 'making it mine'. come on over and check it out: http://makingitmine.proboards17.com/index.cgi. we chat in the one called "today's chapter" and she posted the rules in the "what's there to eat?" section.
from shoop43 :
That's so great that I've inspired you to do the workout! Even though it's only been two days I think I can feel the benefits already. I definitely feel a boost in energy. Are you going to follow his eating plan, too? I don't think I could, it seems too calculating. He seems to advocate the same ideas and foods as SBD, but I think it's too low calorie for me. I like keeping his journal, though. Good luck, let's keep inspiring each other!
from heartleaf :
Heh, I admire anyone who manages to exercise in the mornings. I know what I like to do instead - sleep! But it does sound good though....I know I've heard some people say that it's easier to make healthy choices throughout the day when you start in the morning with some 'healthy routine', like exercising. You just feel inspired to be healthy from the beginning or something like that. Heh, now that I think of it, I feel like testing that theory.. HmIm up for those eight minutes!! =)
from heartleaf :
Hey there! Thanks a bunch for the incredibly nice and encouraging note! Oh, I wish I wasnt so obsessed with the thin thing but Ive been overweight my whole life and Id just like to see what its like on the other side, you know. But when Ive reached a point where I feel ultimately good about my body and where I feel healthy, then I will stop losing weight, even if Im not thin enough. The bottom line is, I just want to learn to feel good about myself. =) Dont we all? Your weight loss is great by the way!! Im glad youre progressing too; I know you can do it! Just keep yourself motivated and have fun. =D Best of luck!
from runninginsf :
