In fact, the more I look at that photo, the more it just HAS to be that one. There's so much going on--his habitat is being destroyed by a human, yet he's on a food source provided by a human, and he's looking in on a human through the window, and the human he's looking at is nice and safe in his/her own habitat. It speaks of guilt, the possibility of redemption, yet ultimately, human "dominion" over the planet and how critters are at our mercy--which is sorely lacking because that bulldozer took down more habitat than the birdfeeder can hope to make up for. Whew, there, not quite a thousand words--and the picture is worth far more. I hope it wins!

I see HaloScan isn't working. Anyway...it's probably the cardinal picture because it tells a story. Poor little displaced birdie searching for food in the wake of environmental rape and the loss of habitat. (And if you've read my MySplice blog today, you know how I REALLY feel about construction and bulldozers...)

Hi there! Clicked in through a banner ad today and just flipped through a few of your posts. You had me at "Dave, please clean the toilet." Sending supportive vibes with which to handle the passive-aggressive types.

I have a feeling that this animal cruelty/murder case will get the maximum punishment. Because he was a special needs dog, because the owner was a sweet teenager, and because the whole thing is so SICK and DEMENTED. Whoever did it has no conscience and may very well have homicidal tendencies -- certainly a danger to any living creature!

Not loving CC. To hell with Jason, if he follows me here I'll just lock this thing up. Gothique is home.

I like that suggestion (thanks for the tip, I haven't seen it yet) - Nicholas Cage movies are one of my favorite guilty pleasures (only guilty because Larry absolutely despises him, insisting that his acting skills are overrated - BLASPHEMY!!). Most comic book films tend to be lots of fun, though. The Punisher (Thomas Jane version), Spawn, Blade...Batman. Pretty groovy way to spend an afternoon. :o)
from cosmiccow :
Either way you want to link is fine. I haven't closed up the old journal so it'll take awhile for him to figure out I've moved. :o)

Just letting you know I'm considering relocating my journal (dammit). I have serious doubts about Jinx keeping his end of the bargain *he's placed some conditions on his willingness to leave me alone* and I'm completely tired of being harrassed. I ran into this creep on WV TWO YEARS ago and with the exception of the three blissful weeks of non contact last September he has been an almost constant irritation. He seems to find me wherever I go, and has repeatedly ignored all of my requests to just drop the feud and go away. As unpleased as I have been in the past with DL's customer service, it does have the advantage of password protecting one's entire journal, so I'm considering reopening one of my old journals (one that he doesn't know about), just so I can blog in peace. He'd also have to open an account just to leave me a note and I doubt he'd be that motivated to harrass me. I'll see what happens over the next few days. Sorry about the length of this note and the potential bounce, I just don't know what else to do to get him to go away. ~Shann

Heya. I finally got disgusted enough with the shitty service on this site to go elsewhere. Until Codexed is back online, I'm using my blog: http://paganlotus.blogspot.com . I'll still be visiting your journal here, just not blogging here myself. :o)
from pgn-mystique :
You're most welcome! I hope it was wonderful. :o)
from pgn-mystique :
Thank you!! I love Jill. She kicks serious butt. :o)
from sekritsquirl :
yes i do think repetition is quite boring...although that seems to be my life. wake up, go to school, the work, come home, bed... maybe i should add some gurps in there :)
from sekritsquirl :
your ready to stray from gurps?
from sekritsquirl :
hows your role playing going?
from sekritsquirl :
well i think you should try the fun roleplaying...i think you will like it more than gurps :)
from sekritsquirl :
are you married?...or with someone?
from sekritsquirl :
no FUN roleplaying? thats no good..what is GURPS?
from sekritsquirl :
roleplaying huh? what kind of roleplaying? :)
from pgn-mystique :
No problem. I chuckled about it myself - after I finished cleaning up the mess, that is. :o)
from gothique :
Thank you, Dave. I truly appreciate it. It's been so awful.
from gothique :
It's cool - you really are. :o) Thank you for the words of encouragement - they're much appreciated. Things are calming down here a bit, which helps, considering how worried we've all been about what's going down with the relatives the next state over.
from your-fitness :
Yes, I've been thinking about getting one, there's actually an option in the game to tell it that you have a heart monitor on. I'll probably invest in one before the end of the year... Right now I have to pay for my one (very expensive) class at school this semester!
from your-fitness :
oh hey you rpg too! Well, I really am wishful thinking when I hope to someday be the same weight and build as my 5th-level half-elf cleric (a lithe 97 lbs and forever young) but maybe I can at least get myself down to a reasonable 120 who doesn't collapse out of breath every time she takes a flight of stairs. Good luck with getting and staying healthy and I hope you come and see my diary again sometime.

okay, so i got this super funny story. there's this guy from NJ that i am in love with (even tho he's a total wad he has his nice moments) and we had this sort of long-distance relationship deal going on. it went all wonky in the middle of last summer and we had this mega fight, right. a couple months later i was at this plant nursery place called garden gallery and i saw a car from NJ there and i booted it! it was a BMW too. hahahah. man, fuckin' kills me everytime i think about it.

update April 6, 2020: Sorry, we just had 8+ hours downtime due to a server problem. Restoring from backups took soooo long, but everything is back and no data was lost. Ay yay yay! Anyhow, hope everyone is well with the virus stuff.
