Welcome back! and happy (a little early) chinese new year!
from edgarfingers :
the trouble with most employers is they're only interested in making money not spending it. You should find another job.... (yeah I know: easier said than done)
from vulcanarcher :
Hey, at let you're having fun partying. A nice break from the world. I saw "Enterprise" too and I loved it! They need to do something new with the show though

Happy Birthday
from devonsdream :
Happy Birthday! How's it feel to be ever so close to 30? Heh. I'm almost there myself. I think next year I'll have an Armegeddon party on my b-day.

I'm sorry I made you feel as though you weren't good enough to talk to. It truly wasn't intentional. The only time I ever saw you online was while I was working or just after 11:00pm when I was going to bed. I think I asked you if you would come on earlier so we could chat before my bed time but that was the last I saw you. I had a hectic month but I have a fairly certain feeling things will now slow to a crawl. We'll catch up.

I Think sometimes that the Internet gremlins bite into what we type and, if they like it, they chew it over for a couple of hours before passing it onto its merry little way. Its a bit like the e-mail critters or the SpO Elves...

Hey there. Sorry to pull the rug out from under you. I had to lock my diary thanks to a particular Jersey girl behaving very badly. If you're interested, please leave me a note and I will give you a password for my diary. I'm glad you enjoy my boring life!

Hey, sorry I haven't gotten around to this before, but I have a lot of the Nancy Drew books. However, I still have several to buy. I've read the majority of them as well. Every time I go to an antique store I look for old Nancy Drew books. :P I agree that when I read those books avidly, things were much simpler, and sometimes I too wish I could go back to those days. However, I find myself quite happy most of the time. Usually, my happy moods come out of nowhere. Like when I hear the rain. :) Anyhow, thank you for the note!
from welles :
I'm sorry, I thought I answered your question. It's important to me to find out where people are coming from. It's important to me to read about why people are the way they are. I like reading geography, too. It's important to read about leaders of history. Buddha was a leader in history. I find inspiration from all peoples, LDS or not. I find religion fascinating. I know a lot about my own, I'd like to know a lot about others.
from petrichor :
You haven't quite answered my original questions yet. Now, why is it important to study other religions if your religion is the true one? Why is it important to know about other religions at all? Saying that it is important does not explain why it is important. Is learning about them simply interesting? Or is it important? And more to the point, why?
from petrichor :
I have a question for you. If your church is the true church (and I am not saying that it is or is not), why is it then necessary to know anything about any other church? (This is not a rhetoric question, I want to know just why you feel its important to know anything about another religion, which, no matter how much you admire it, you don't think is wholly true -- if, in fact, your church is the true church, what use is it to know of any truth from the not true churches or religions?)
