friendship is key

If there's anything in this world I value more than life itself, it's the amazing group of friends I have had the luxury of knowing. This is for them, especially Mackenzie, and for me, and for anyone in the world who knows what it's like to watch a friend in pain.

My favorite diaries:

comments: Heidi. Since freshman year, one of two people with whom I still talk. Always going to be there.

comments: Mary Mi-Mi. God....so many years, so many miles. We've been apart for so long, I don't even know anymore. But we're still there. I think.

comments: Stephanie. I don't know her except through Heidi, but I read.
francypants profile - diary
comments: Mary's going [gone] to France! Read all about it!

comments: "It is so wonderful, so very wonderful, to know that Gina is mine alone."
courtdog profile - diary
comments: Yee-haw! Courtney has jumped on the bandwagon too!
da-gee-man profile - diary
comments: Greg. He came, he left, he came back, he left, he came back again.

comments: Sam. Good stuff. I'm not a stalker, I swear.

My favorite music:

Dashboard Confessional
comments: superb. fantastic. i like them.
weezer
comments: i AM mary tyler moore.
Shawn Colvin
comments: or Mary Chapin-Carpenter, i have a penchant for folksy bluesy women singers with a special quality to their voice and something beautiful to say.

My favorite movies:

Forrest Gump
comments: i really don't know why, but i love it more every time i see it, which adds up to a lot by now.
Memento
comments: .dluohs uoy ,ti nees t'nevah uoy fi dna ,eivom suolubaf a
Office Space
comments: yeah....about that....did you get that memo?
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
comments: ni! and other wonderfully witty and stupid british humor. it should be a requirement for being allowed into heaven, or hell, or anywhere besides purgatory.

My favorite authors:

Joel Gross
comments: probably the only person who put him down. he wrote The Books of Rachel, a fascinating tale of a family heirloom and the strong, amazing women it was passed through.
John Irving
comments: irreverent and impossible to stop reading. you never know what's going to happen next, unless you've read it once, and even then it's hard to believe.
Cynthia Voigt
comments: okay, so i like "young adult" novels, what's wrong with that?
William Shakespeare
comments: of course.

update April 6, 2020: Sorry, we just had 8+ hours downtime due to a server problem. Restoring from backups took soooo long, but everything is back and no data was lost. Ay yay yay! Anyhow, hope everyone is well with the virus stuff.
