I think of you sometimes when the lights invade the midnight sky, stuck high on scaffolding feel the air and I remember you like a fairytale gone wrong. It is in this breath that I feel alive and dead all at once. There's a peacefulness in being broken. A calm stillness in understanding. The simplest things are often the hardest to understand, and rarely easily proved. The contradictions swallow me whole, I'm flipped inside out.
