You have returned to your art. Why is it easiest to write when things aren't the greatest? I fear my gift is gone....so I make it mine and leave it at that.

I'm feelin ur page. Unfortunately at my University, there isn't a very unifie black community, nor the wherewithall to do much about black history month. Nor is there much interest by the white majority. I wish it were at least a little more important to them though. Just goes to show not much has changed unfortunately... One.

You should still make your survey because it would be different. I still have more to go on during February, the shortest month, you know the one we set aside for Black History. Twenty Days of school where in we're supposed to cover it. I've not taught History yet so I haven't done anything with that in that way. My Black History Month performance has been, so far, during Government Class, to make them learn about Condi Rice, Rod Paige and Justice Marshall. Its stupid that we set aside months instead of doing that all year long. Oh well.

I failed a geography bee and didn't win a huge trip to another country on thinking that Jamaica was in Queens not the Carribean. I might have gotten a revote or something if I hadn't displayed my New Yorker strain with "any asshole knows that Jamaica is in Queens." That's where my Mom's family comes from, Queens. Before Long Island.
