from raven72d :
I'll be looking forward to them.
from raven72d :
Loved the Black Panels.
from raven72d :
Love the cartoons for 2 July and 30 June.
from raven72d :
Yes! "Madcap" is good! I like that--- no one has used it "Bringing Up Baby" (or Barbra Streisand in "What's Up, Doc?") and I think it needs to be revived.
from corposant :
This thing still working?
from raven72d :
Congratulations! (And I love the poetry here, too)
from fifidellabon :
Congratulations on the birth of your novel! Very exciting! The secret poet is posting in the city again and when I read the poetry, I always think of you...XOFifi
from atwowaydream :
"Are you gonna let Mars go there by himself?" - Beautiful.
from dontremember :
So sorry about the loss and the wretch that appeared so suddenly. I hope things sort out and I thank you for continuing your posts
from raven72d :
I'm very much taken by your entries...

from orderwine :
have been wondering. have been thinking.
from fifidellabon :
Oh, my! Have I been missing update notifications? There is quite a trove of poetic loveliness there. And the kitty is awesome. Did he find a new home yet? XOFifi
from fifidellabon :
You have SUCH a gift with words! XOFifi
from stardumb :
lol, this morning i found myself walking in the rain singing strange songs to myself, and i thought "i must be going crazy" but it felt as though it was part of the process, going a little crazy makes you a little less stout, controlled, emotionless, and i thought well--- this is the way--- sing strange songs out loud in the rain and let it get you there. thx the for notes corp. :)
from stardumb :
i do the same thing, i am also fond of the word "moon" and use it A LOT. i try not to but i also use worlds like "folds" or "gilds" or "air" alot, i dunno, it's funny, i do the same thing. thanks for the notes! i know exactly what you're saying.. :)
from dinahsoar :
Thank you. I'm glad it brought you back to a time not your own. I understand your comment about "orphans". I think the Jackson Browne song, The Pretender, says it all. Our generation was so idealistic, meant so well.
from stardumb :
lol, i thought of black balloon. "baby's black balloon makes her fly, almost fell into that whole in your life." i forget who sings it. i fly in my dreams. :)
from stardumb :
i havent. but i can check it out at some point. :)
from fifidellabon :
I simply adore "balloon" and thank you for sharing it! XOFifi
from stardumb :
i really thought "balloon" was excellent, i wanted to fly :)
from dinahsoar :
Grain Knot Eye is stunning.
from stardumb :
i loved your latest poem. really original, really beautiful.
from fifidellabon :
I think that I should rahther like to find paper birds and butterflies in my pockets! XOFifi
from sassymcgee :
Oh well that's good. It's horrible when Mother Nature kicks our butts like this. I feel SOOOO bad for all those Japanese people over there.
from sassymcgee :
How are you? Were you hit at all by the tsunami?
from opposure :
I'm glad you wish to join the rebellion. We will need lots of poets. Speaking of poetry, yours seems very atmospheric and mature. I'm very glad you found me. I'm know I'm going to enjoy reading your entries.
from sassymcgee :
Bragger. Normally I really don't mind winter, but THIS winter has taken it's toll. I enjoy the coming of the warmer weather and what it brings: the warmer breeze that smells green and fresh, the sunshine that FEELS different when Spring comes along, and even the sounds of the stupid birds that have been gone all winter. Plus I just like the idea of being able to sit outside and enjoy a game cornhole while drinking adult beverages. Besides I get to wear thick, cozy sweaters in the winter. So pfft to your bland all-year warm weather lol.
from fifidellabon :
I quite like "A Shape of Sleep"! XOFifi
from dinahsoar :
There is solace in this desert-season. That's true. And thank you for being part of that solace.
from dontremember :
Thanks. My friends have no knowledge of those lines but I see them written all over their face
from fifidellabon :
Aha! It was awesome---I'll deffo take the credit! Do I get the backstory?! XOFifi
from atwowaydream :
"We will become railway refugees from weddings, fluoride, prevailing latitudes and the Ukraine, and immigrate to glaciers, tobacco barns, overnight catastrophes and Mondays in Lisbon." - I really loved this entry. Beautiful.
from fifidellabon :
It must be so much FUN inside of your head!!! XOFifi
from dinahsoar :
Thank you. It has the same effect on me, actually. I had another line for the ending, but this one came to me in the middle of the night.
from stardumb :
i've never experienced this kind of heartbreak before. i still have some recordings we did and listen to his voice and i shake, literally. it affects my whole being. i couldn't believe he moved on so fast and i was still wishing and hoping and praying that we'd get back together. i really don't know how to go on. everyday i have my head in my hands and every morning i cry. it's sick but i still hold on to the notion that i might be with him again someday. i swear, i must be delusional. thanks for your notes. i truly truly appreciate them.
from stardumb :
oh corp, i couldn't write for weeks. my heart has been broken, and all these lovesick poems i've written for this one soul, who left me cold and mourning, grieving, saddened, i still write about it.. because i have not gotten over it. the taste of death, heart-break is still soft on my lips, but i will go on, because there is no other way out accept through it. thank you for your note.
from raven72d :
i love the estonian proverb.
from fifidellabon :
Oh it sounds brilliant, such a shame that I am on the other side of the country...XOFifi
from boombasticat :
Love the style of those drawings. Thanks for sharing your poetry.

Ooh, the Zombie Waltz was brilliant! You know zombies! XOFifi

I don't live near Lompoc, but I do have a Paypal account. So let me know when it is available to order online. Thanks!

from fifidellabon :
You are so talented! XOFifi
from raven72d :
our squid friends are always wonderful...

Are you hand-drawing the covers? I really like the line work.
from avantbedroc :
your covers so graceful -a beautiful beginning to your book
from raven72d :
lovely things here.
from papersails :
I have a new blog at thelightinnovember.blogspot.com. I'm using your last comment to me here as my "about me" blurb. I hope you don't mind!
from fifidellabon :
I LIKE that cover!!!! Oooh, you are brilliant! XOFifi
from dinahsoar :
It is very surreal to lose a parent. It is almost incomprehensible that the world goes on so matter-of-factly in their absence. I will get that book, An Anthropologist on Mars, this weekend. Thanks for the recommendation. I work with the mentally ill and sometimes their casual observations are so amazingly profound and poetic! Your comments about autism resonate.
from musikoid :
I could feel it. I also thought it was well-written/spoken.. I liked the part about the 'audience of three.' You're probably some kind of genius.
from stardumb :
haha wow you drew that? multi-talented i see, good stuff! :)
from musikoid :
Your poem to your father really impacted me.
from stardumb :
thanks corp!
from dinahsoar :
I love your Driving Poem #41. I lost my mother in August and my father seven years ago. Thank you for your tender reflections.
from fifidellabon :
I adore Driving poem #41. Thank you for sharing! XOFifi
from avantbedroc :
have not seen you here for a while. hope you are okay.
from stardumb :
love Heptagram Blues, such a rich use of words, that i could did taste and to end it with such reciprocation, it was beautiful to read--
from stardumb :
chance is the name of an old puppy, i've come to know and love.. he used to sleep right up against me, many novembers ago... :)

from fifidellabon :
You have been doing so much wonderful, wonderful work! I am veree impressed and I totally admire your talent. And I am grateful that you share it with the world! XOFifi
from minstrelite :
Thanks, corposant. I went to your page briefly, and it is very nice. It was another D-Land user who told me that, over five years ago, but unfortunately I wasn't ready to believe it at the time. I'm glad if the reminder was helpful.
from dinahsoar :
Thank you so much for your note. The sense of relief is a strange emotion. I also often feel numb, although yesterday at an appointment with a doctor I'd never met (had a lingering cough), I started crying about my mother & couldn't stop. The doctor was amazing (more like a confessor or therapist)! Very compassionate. She let me talk for quite a while & gave me several hugs. (Un)surprisingly, my cough has been much better since. Thank you for your comforting words.
from stardumb :
exactly!!! like the play on words with left and right :)
from boombasticat :
I love it. I like that you've humanized the oaks, in a manner. You make me feel sorry for them. The line about never being regal is great.
from papersails :
Thank you so much for that beautiful note!
from fifidellabon :
You have been writing such brilliant, sparkling poetry! What a gift! XOFifi
from atwowaydream :
Very good point. I'm very dualistic in nature, so I probably do both. "Not autumn, not winter. In-between." -Pretty.
from stardumb :
thanks corp, you're funny... "just get out of the way and let the accidents happen." i guess for me, it's like "stand infront of the moving cars damnnit" haha, i dont even know if thats really true i just like the word play on "get out of the way and let the accidents happen." it's 4 am and this probably makes no sense. regardless, i know what you mean by it happening by accident. i force things A LOT in my poems, if you can call them such, i'm afraid to let my gut or intuition or something write them, instead i'm up in my head. i should get some more sleep. :)
from papersails :
my diary is open again! :)
from stardumb :
love "drought" you effen genius!!!!
from dontremember :
that sounded awful and so of course it posted twice. what i mean to say is: this is like a treasures.... in in in like a desert cave. but you cant touch anything. just get me lamp. bring me the lamp boy, and youll get your reward.

from fifidellabon :
Do you know, I really like "commentary"! XOFifi
from seasons79 :
You're welcome and thank you also for adding me and your note. I agree--I am stuck on knowing the difference as well, with reference to the Serenity prayer. Your planetary character images are intriguing.
from a-d-w :
love that last one
from longitude :
thank you..
from stardumb :
hey corp, so i was joining diaryrings (been here for seven years and yours was the first i joined so i decided maybe i could take a look at them) and anyway.. noticed "cephalopods" doesn't show up under "c" in the diaryrings directory... and just saying, what is up with that? :/
from enfinblue :
How wonderful! I just clicked on your link through Fifi's diary and am loving the poetry and other tidbits. Wonderful! I no longer write a diary here, but I am going to bookmark your site. Thanks for sharing.
from longitude :
I love the asemic writing image.. and am fascinated by the history behind it.
from fifidellabon :
Oh, what happened to all of the beautiful poetry? Perhaps I just didn't see where the archives went. Good to read you again! XOFifi
from xorbit :
Hee, quite chuffed by your reaction to 045pretend. The first three parts have been floating around in my head for a while. I had hoped to make each into a standalone piece, but it just came together while I was playing with it. Perhaps later I will be inspired to expand it further. xx
from fifidellabon :
We liked it. It read like a song. XOFifi
from papersails :
I will let you know. Thanks for your interest! :)
from coldrubies :
Thank you for adding me! And for the beautiful Nabokov quote! Mmmm - the Burroughs one is my very favorite. Your diary is a joy!
from papersails :
It's good to see a professional poet here. I had a short story published once, but that was back in '01 or '02. I'm also having two of my poems published in a Canadian riot grrrl zine coming up soon. But I've never made money off of my writing.
from stardumb :
yes, like grabbing them out of the sky sometimes! :)
from stardumb :
i definitely do the same, rarely do i start with a destination in mind, or even a topic, a first sentences, usually. :) like writing something that was already there, sometimes-- when it's good and goes in unexpected places. love your latest poem too by the way, you're such a true and inspiring talent, please keep writing and get yourself published! :)
from stardumb :
love love love the last verse on spotlight! good work! :)
from stardumb :
"the boy in the yellow leatherette" sounds like a good read, beautifully poetic it seems!
from stardumb :
:)
from stardumb :
i never spend more than a day on anything (or a night to morning) i just cant.. like you, i could go back and change something; add/remove something if i found a way to say it better, more clever.. but i dont write with the intention to get published-- just to express myself-- i told a friend once "i think live to have something to write about" i can't not do either.. but i also can't spend to much time on any subject. thanks! :)
from dinahsoar :
Thank you for your note! That you are moved by my diary is ... well, stunning! I'm trying to add you as a "favorite", but can't figure out the correct html. It keeps kicking out the one I see. But, then, I'm low tech!
from dinahsoar :
Wow! You know how it is! Just fell into your diary somehow and found it stunning!
from dontremember :
yesssss
from stardumb :
interesting thought, i keep thinking there's more i could add to it.. like it's incomplete i dunno.. thanks for your comments.. appreciate them!
from yespleasedo :
I tend to read the random diaries in bold or diaries my favorites read. I spend a lot of time on the 'net at work - don't tell anyone! Thanks for laughing with (at?) me/us.
from fifidellabon :
Oh, I quite liked "other Etiquettes"! XOFifi Pee Ess The octopus bracelet arrived! Hurrah!
from stardumb :
thanks corposant!
from stardumb :
you're sweet.. i feel they pale in comparison (not seeking flattery either) but your sweet anyways... thanks doll! :)
from moodswing :
well I'm glad my potential-vampire status doesn't prevent me from being entertaining. aren't vampires supposed to be charming? perhaps that seals the deal then. hah.
from longitude :
oh, this is a lovely place.
from xorbit :
*bounces happily* "Other Etiquettes" is my favourite now!
from xorbit :
I had not noticed any dysfunction with the ring code. Also, have you read 'Gravity' by Tess Gerritsen?
from atwowaydream :
"budding with maidenly poise" --- so pretty.
from stardumb :

from stardumb :

from stardumb :
love burnt oak. nice feeling/thought/visual. very cool! :)
from atwowaydream :
in Japan, if you have the price for this supposed exchange, i would trade. But in Japan, there is everything. which is why Japan rocks. I am secretly Japanese obsessed. but perhaps that was too much information.
from stardumb :
thank you! and i also ;)
from lobo21 :
I must add my agreement as well. Love "complaint"! How might one get a copy of your printed material? Thanks. Take care.
from stardumb :
wonderful!
from swimmmer72 :
Fifi is right, as usual. Brilliant!!!! :)
from fifidellabon :
I ADORE "A Complaint From the Tented Field"!!! XOFifi Pee ess BAh, who could be afraid of a poet? They are wonderful and creative. But poetry, now there are many who are afraid of that. Perhaps because it tells some truths that they are afraid of...
from lobo21 :
I have to admit to being a novice at understanding the width and breadth poems convey, but yours have a richness and weight that demands and captures an audience. If that makes any sense. I could get lost here quite easily. Take care.
from fifidellabon :
We have a stealth poet who nails up to telephone poles big sturdy sheets of poetry! I read them when I am out with Mr. Dog. It is such a wonderful surprise to find them! XOFifi
from fifidellabon :
Hallo! Thank you for the add, and I've added you as well. I adore poetry although I am a complete moron when it comes to it./Fifi
from lobo21 :
Hi. I've been back many times and want to say how amazing I find your entries. Hope you will not mind me adding you as a favourite. Take care.
from xorbit :
Why, thank you :) If only the credit were all mine ;)
from permeation :
Such lushness, your words. My poems have all turned to pictures - but you inspire.
from pettyquarrel :
I don't read around DiaryLand very much these days, but if I did, this would hands down be one of my favorite journals.
from boombasticat :
My pleasure. When I do read poetry, I always want it to be Mary Oliver, or like Mary Oliver.
