Rachel, I hope you have a Happy Birthday (30 is the beginning of the rest of your life), and a Very Merry Christmas. I Hope the New Year is filled with Blessed and Happy moments and much prosperity and Peace. Love To You All... Debbie
from just--jenn :
My co-worker calls those stupid yet conversational comments her "top ten." Of course there are more than ten, but any cliche comment that you could have predicted would come out of a person's mouth...not even worth the time it took you to hear it. I feel your pain. In other news, sometimes I do feel like I'm in a romantic comedy. I'm just that clueless girl, bumbling through life right now...and things (okay...boys) just keep popping up and blindsiding me. It's too funny.
from dchurchman :
LOVED the story bout LT just rattling off answers to math problems, and how smart and funny Claire is! Love your late night rambles girl, glad you're back :) Debbie
from celidor :
Oh yes, hostess gifts. I usually take wine, but have taken a scented candle, nice bottle of gourmet olive oil, ditto chocolate sauce for ice-cream, chocolates, flowers, any gourmet sauces/marinades in nice bottles, jar of good jam - anything! I love buying little gifts.
from celidor :
I've opened a photo bucket account. Will ATTEMPT to do the rest, but may well call on you! And there was something in your entry I was going to comment on, but I've forgotten, now.
from celidor :
Awww! You've moved! Cooooome baaaack Rachel! How can I add a link to you in my diary? Don't want to miss out on you! Valerie
from forty-plus :
I'm glad Claire's hearing seems better, it must be such a relief. Hope you slept well.
from dchurchman :
wooooooooooo old lady snuggly jammies are the best!
from peytonsplace :
Thanks for the sweet note. :)
from trinity63 :
Actually -- There was considerable debate about how the chief executive was to be selected, but the electoral college was finally settled on as a compromise between those who wanted pure popular vote and those who wanted state legislatures to choose. The popular vote was turned down largely because, due to lack of widespread communications ability, the voters in each state would pick a regional local, not knowing anything about central figures [after the founding fathers would have passed on], so that regionalism multiplied by 13 would always result in the most populous states deciding the presidency. The electoral college at least gave some weighted influence to the smaller states. The reason for the electoral college has now died with the growth of communications and political parties, and the demise of state sovereignty interests.

I, too, found you through a comment you made (at Trin's) and you peaked my curiousity. I hope you don't mind, but after spending just a little time here, I've added you to my favorites. Have a great Thursday, Yvonne
from starlight42 :
Found you through another diary I read...just had to cringe along with you on that june bug story! Yuck, I'm glad my cat's don't get into those, they only attack each other. Liked your book quiz by the way, as I'm an avid reader. :)

It's the little pleasures in life that we remember!

May I have your password, please? [email protected] I may get withdrawals, otherwise!!
from atbay :
Thanks! As for the pains, no idea what they were. I've had some people say I was probably having back labor...but the doctors couldn't figure it out. There's none now so I'm not worried.
from atbay :
You hit the nail on the head. Clinical it was not. Actually it was more embarassing than anything else, hehe. 16 more days, I'm finding that number really hard to believe.
from kristintracy :
re: jeapordy limits - they have been lifted specifically for this guy. i'm sure they're getting crazy good ratings because of it, so really it's win-win. as far as i know they're just letting him rip it up until he loses, although i'm not 100% sure.
from kristintracy :
hey rachel. in spite of all evidence pointing towards eric and i being twins, to include us calling one another "our twin", etc., we are not. i am 4 years older than eric, and my birthday is may 6th. CRAZY! thanks for the b-day wish, though. i will pocket it for next year.

from atbay :
sorry about not replying earlier...the series I'm working on is the Pern series by Anne Mccaffrey. And thanks for the congrats. Don't worry about missing anything, I've been terrible at updating lately.

Hiya! So what does hsing mean? My guess is home schooling. =o) Anyway, I found your diary through the members area. Its a pretty layout! Looks like Spring. =o) God bless you! <><
from betenoire05 :
I'm so glad that there are more "schooling" opportunities for students nowadays. I know i would have been happier at a non-traditional high school. Ah, well. Thanks for visiting and leaving a note. I'm like a six year old when it comes to "mail". Love it! Also, I really like your daffodil. Time for Spring.

Thanks for your note. I think you are probably right about the SAD thing. I try to "get out" every sunny day. I'm just a big ole wimp when it comes to cold weather. Some days I wish I had been born in the tropics. Sigh.

Came here through the Moms in their 20's diaryring. :o) You know I have wanted to try paintball, but I am afraid of the pain of getting hit. LOL I have see the welts those things leave.

Hi, same thing happened to my template, but it seemed to be fixed after they took diaryland offline yesterday to tinker with it. Also, I totally agree with all four. Yep, I'm definitely an addict. We should have a club...Anyway, hope you had a Merry Christmas!
from rdhdprincess :
Hi! Just me, catching up! I so enjoyed all your Thanksgiving, and planning entries. You are one organized woman! It sounds like everything went well, and you had a great day. I envy that breakfast of yours this morning! Yum! Okay, once, I found these weird "rings" of foil at this cooking/kitchen store, and they were perfect! They were kinda, well, puffy so they laid nicely over the crust and were just the perfect size, and round! I'm telling ya'- perfect crust covers! Sadly, once I used the package, I haven't been able to find any others, or I would surely send you some. Take care, and thanks for the nice note! Carrie
from gumphood :
I know. I have seen you pop in from time to time, and I have checked you out as well. I am in love, and I think that love can exist, but I seperated "perfect love" and "love". While I beleive that love can exist the fairy tale "perfect love" cannot. I appreciated what you had to say, and I think that I should have made myself more clear.
from emiline220 :
Hi. I just wanted to say that I like your new design. It makes me feel...comfy-cozy, or something like that. If only it were the least bit cold down here, I'd really be in the fall spirit.
from rdhdprincess :
I enjoyed your 100 things. Believe it or not, we have a few things in common. The reading at a 3rd grade level in Kindergarten, the spelling bee in 6th grade, and oh how I love Return to Me! I'm so sorry to hear about your first daughter, I feel for you. Congratulations on having such a nice family!
from laesdaw :
Thank you for your note, hsing-mom. I really appreciate the encouragement. Being single is tough, and I get discouraged frequently. Again, thanks for the encouragement.
from sisofmartha :
Thanks for the support ;-D It still fent good to vent, hehe; I was ready to join the commies, LOL
from mcanulty9 :
Wow! What a fun day you had. I love going to bed feeling wonderful about my day with the kids. I need to get to the zoo pretty soon. We have a great one close by.
from icing-sugar :
the twirling always gets me too,

I just want to thank you for joining my diaryring. I have been hoping to have some homeschooling moms join. I have been questioning if I should hang around or not amongst all these diaries of so many different individuals. I just started blogging and I will be slow due to taking care of my seven beautiful children. They range in age from 14 down to 2. I have homeschooled from the beginning, and have never felt a true conviction to send them to public school. I am an old woman (43) but I love communicating to younger moms about my life. I read just a little of your diary and I welcome you with a big heart. I just need to learn how to do all the fancy stuf. Blessings, Sandy
from betenoire05 :
Thanks for visiting! I'm a homeschool mom, too. I homeschooled my daughter through 6th grade. I'm still homeschooling my oldest son. He's a 6th grader this year.
from emiline220 :
Hey, I don't mind at all that you used the list. You can do the book list too if you want. That was really nice of you to send me an email about it though.
from emiline220 :
Hi. Thanks so much for the note you wrote. It was really nice and it made my day. I liked your 100+ things. I'll be checking back with you.
from mom-on-roof :
you broke my heart with your 100 things, I laughed, I cried. Literally. Keep writing girl!
from mom-on-roof :
Hi! Thanks for leaving my first note! Yea! I've been "perusing" your diary now, and I have to say, you seem like such a nice, caring person, that I'm a little worried some of my language or subject matter will offend you! Isn't that funny? Anyways, I should tell you, I'll be using my diary to VENT on occasion, and it won't be pretty, I hope if you stay with me you'll be able to read "through the lines". :) :) :)
from seldomspoken :
hi... we may be in very different stages of our lives... but I like your entries. You seem like a very real person. :) And I like your choices of authors and movies. :) I was home educated for my entire life... and graduated about 3 years ago. I loved it... and totally support what you're doing!
