from banana3159 :
Thanks so much for your note. That was really sweet. [blush]
from lavidaloca-2 :
thanks, it's good thing Tellulah went for papillon instead, I genuinely fear each time I read she's going to stick to fetucine alfredo, which sounds too literally cheesy for my tastes. Nice to hear from you, hope things are picking up always knew NYC had secret impromptu musicals. Gluck and thanks.

yeah, the whole ex out of nowhere thing really threw me for a loop. no chance in hell of us getting back together. both of us are happily in relationships. at least, i happily am and he's been in one for years.

Hey there...thanks so much for adding me to your favorites. You are now on my "coolest kids on the block" list. Not to be confused with New Kids on the Block. They're just not cool, anymore.
from banana3159 :
Bravo to you re your comeback on the corporate law thing and on bisexuality. I am so sick of stupid people saying that bi-sexuality doesn't exist. People are so threatened and consumed by their own agendas that they forget the entire point is that everyone should be free to express their own sexuality as honestly as possible.

I have nearly reconciled myself to my Koppel-a-do. Nearly. And yes, I can see where maybe that Trafficant has some worse hair. So I suppose I should count my blessings. But STILL. Koppel is not really known for his cute and sassy hair. Sigh.

Ouch, and that's why I'd never pursue my dream career instead of my cashcow-getrickquick career. That is ofcourse if you are still interested? in public lawyering? or has this made you change your mind?
from heavenlyging :
Hey! Thanks for the congrats and for the advice about ginger :) I've considered making some ginger root tea, but have been drinking some already prepard stuff and you're right, it does help!
from squirrelx :
Please forgive me for takin' so long to thank you for the 'ode to squash'! I absolutely love it and I'll be postin' the link in my next entry --- with credit to you for findin' it. Thank you again! Warmest regards, Xtine

i love it

Yes, the quote was from Nick Hornby. And he is well worth the read, especially High Fidelity. If you've seen the movie, then you'll notice that the dialogue in the film is pretty much identical to that in the book. Only the characters in the book are British.
from beagle47 :
er, make that "thought of..."

a little overdue, my apologies. yes, it was nickel and dimed. my guess? author's a stoner. no skin off my bookcover, really. i like the though of teaching the book in law school. the law is so much drier. the rationale? my thought is "hey, if you're going to convince a juror, better be able to get inside his or her head," and most jurors are probably nickel and dime employees. sure wish we could all be multi-millionaires. i wonder what that world would look like? peace and thanks for the note. good luck with your studies.

Re: feeling fatter than ever. This sounds dumb and obvious, but do you think you could get into exercising? Like, really exercising, not this 45 minutes three to four times a week crap they tell you. I mean like embark upon some majorly challenging physical goal? I decided to run the Chicago marathon and since it finally got warm enough to actually train, I have been averaging probably at least five miles a day. For about six weeks now. I got so pissed off a few weeks ago, because I couldn't seem to tell ANY difference in my body at all after almost a month- and I'd been eating almost nothing too- and hadn't lost any weight. But then I decided FUCK the scale, and I kept doing it and something changed because suddenly like EVERY day I can tell a difference in my body. I'm not going to weigh myself but it looks to me like I've lost at least fifteen pounds and the exercise gets addictive after a while. It's almost impossible for me to feel fat after I go for one of those long walk/jog/runs. I did ten miles the other day though and seriously fucked up my foot! Dammit! And a centipede just ran across my floor so now I can't do any sit-ups either! Pfff. My point is, a physical goal like maybe that big-ass thing for Breast CAncer might be a good way to feel better. That was just my seventy cents on the topic. :P

You are so lucky! I actually just read an article about all these different actresses who've played Hedda from the time it was written until today, and they focused on Martha. She rocks.

Hey i just came across ur diary by clicking on a banner and what caught my eye was waltham..right outside of boston..where i was born so i just had to read ur diary! Its great!
from heavenlyging :
Thanks for the book suggestions - I'm going to see if I can check them out!!
from banana3159 :
Marianne always makes me cry too.
from beagle47 :
;-) thanks for clicking. personally, i like being anonymous. being famous seems like way too much pressure. peace!
from banana3159 :
I would love to be famous in exactly the way you described-- respected in my field as opposed to being on the front cover of the tabloids.
from fatdiaries :
thanks so much for your post on my guest book. i really appreciated it! and now i'm really enjoying reading your diary. man, the church you went to for easter sounds FABULOUS for a church. i can't find the link to your guest book so i'm signing here, but if you do have one, let me know and i'll hit it too. take care! Zit aid since I have gotten those horrible monster zits: you have to take aspirin, all the time you have one, especially when you first notice it, because it decreases the inflammation... and if you can't stop from fucking with it, put neosporin on it once you're done picking at it. If you're anything like me, you have a red mark on your face for like three months after one of those. The aspirin thing really does help. Plus it makes it not hurt and that makes you want to fuck with it less.
from rumblelizard :
I _LOVED_ Delicatessen! I can't understand why it's not out on DVD.
from amberfalls :
hello! Thanks for adding me to your favorites. I'll try to stop in regularly to check in. Good day to you. -a-
from squirrelx :
I can't thank you articulately, much less enough, for the wonderful message you left me --- and for the high compliment of bein' added to your favorites list. Please know that your kindness is profoundly appreciated. Best, Xtine / Squirrel X
from serendipity- :
Thanks for adding me as a favorite. By the way, you were born exactly one day before I was.
from beotch :
There Are No Children Here is so f'ing disturbing. But keep in mind as you read it that it's outdated- they have changed a lot of shit since then, I think. Another one to read is "Savage Inequalities"
from amberfalls :
I got here by clicking your banner. I read a few entries. I like what you're saying. I saw Bowling for Columbine. It was an excellent movie. I wish I could've seen it a second time becasue I felt overwhelmed by all the information presented. I also read Stupid White Men and Other Sorry Excuses for the State of the Nation. Great book
from beotch :
http://www.b3ta.com/i-love-you/iloveyou.swf Sorry, saw you mention B3ta and had to leave my favorite link
from beotch :
If you ever see Bowling for Columbine (which is what I assume you were referring to) we must discuss. I was so highly entertained but it pissed me OFF so bad. I hate when there are well-made movies like that that are so slanted. that is all I will say. Would you recommend waiting to see Say Anything if I am in a fragile sort of state of mind? Because I have been meaning to see that forever.
from beotch :
maybe I'm a naive entirely heterosexual person, but if you like girls and guys... well... isn't there a word for that? You seem confused.
from beotch :
