from deareddie :
Stumbled on your diary today, and I liked what you had to say. Hope all is well. :-)
from agraciana :
PS. Can I have your e-mail?
from agraciana :
I'm sort of a grown up now, and I associate DL with my pre-teen and teenage years... I don't really write in it anymore, and I think i may even have locked my journal... I still check back every now and then, and I am always really excited when I see that you have updated. You have grown into a wonderful person. I don't know you, but, I'm proud of you. :) So, yes. I still read your journal.
from tennisdiva :
are you still practicing driving one handed?
from mayamimi :
just begin! :)
from bathtubmary :
wonderful. i'm so happy for you, mama. xoxo, d
from agraciana :
Congratulations! I've been checking back every few days to see if you had your baby. He has one kick ass momma!! Hope everything went well, and you, baby and hubby are in the best of health!!!
from hopscotch :
Can't wait for an update. I hope everything went well...
from agraciana :
You are going to be a wonderful mother. Best of luck with everything :)
from tennisdiva :
Best of luck. You will be amazing and you deserve all the happiness this little life will bring to you :)
from hopscotch :
what number would that be?
from ophelialetgo :
I actually was a stripper for a while. Creepy customers aside, it was kind of the ideal job for me. I got exercise, and I didn't have to think hard - so I would go home physically healthy, but still mentally/creatively alive. Plus it's oddly empowering. .....But yeah. Also upsetting and creepy. I was doing it really because I wanted to know what it was like....it would probably be much worse if it was a career and I had less choice.
from agraciana :
Hmm, how often do i read your diary, you ask? Well, i forget about diaryland for a few months, then i remember and check it about once a week until i forget it again. :)I think i will be updating a little bit more now that i have more time (just convocated from my first degree at University, but starting my second degree in September)...
from agraciana :
I havn't checked diaryland since december... So, it was pleasent to see that you're pregnant. :) Congrats, all the best to you, your husband, and the soon-to-be-new-addition! But keep trucking on with the book... I want to see your name on the shelf at a bookstore one day...
from tennisdiva :
Hey! I have been thinking of you as I make small plans to go to NY. I am so happy you are preggers! What a wonderful mother your child already has. I'm going through the after-graduation finding what I want to do thing. Take care.
from folkbitch :
Congrats on the baby! Sorry I have been out of touch.
from lavenderlily :
Oh, sweetie, congratulations!!! It's an amazing adventure and you will love it and be so, so good at it!!!
from hopscotch :
congratulations!
from hip2bme :
Hi there! Thanks for adding me to your faves. I'm gonna add you too. Wanna know about your pregnancy! And talking about it... Congrats on your baby! This year is full of babies in my life! A new niece or nephew, a little cousin, his name's gonna be Gabriel, friends pregnant, now you! YAAAAAY to mums and babies!!! Hugs!!!
from ophelialetgo :
Congrats on the immenent motherdom!!
from bathtubmary :
all my best mama wishes, sweet laura. xoxo, d
from folkbitch :
I'm sorry I haven't talked to you in so long. Craziness abounds in my life, per usual. I hope you are well. Let me know how the book is going.
from agraciana :
Finally good to see a face to go with the words.
from bathtubmary :
you are a damn good writer. i love to hear about all you are doing to make the world a good place for your baby, whenever she/he comes along. i hope to emulate you in the near future. and thank you so much for the anniversary wishes - i nearly forgot myself! xoxo, d
from ophelialetgo :
Awesome. Email addy = BrigidCPierce and the at is yahoo.com.au
from hopscotch :
I hope you don't mind me saying, but reading your "who i am" series made me think that you could be one kick-ass librarian--a decisive organizer and list maker. Only an observation.
from ophelialetgo :
really want to see your barbie tattoo!! in the book Jennifer Government, she has a barcode of Malibu Barbie on her cheek.
from clocks :
have you started publishing work yet? ive been reading more of your entries. i can see why people are amazed by you. you remind me of me.
from cheekyash :
randomly searching around this site, i just found you. and for some reason, i just kept reading. maybe at first, it was the shorter, easier to read entry (i'm lazy like that), but i just loved the way you wrote. and what you wrote. at first you just made me smile, your entries seemed light and funny. the further i went back, i was just stuck. i know i'm just a random stranger, but i think you're an amazing, strong character. i spend my time on here looking for more and more diaries i want to read. and generally, they're not like yours. i guess, overall, i tend to like depressing, emo stuff. lame i know, but i can't help it. it was weird, reading back, you wrote something along the lines of 'i never want to forget these lyrics'. it was 'breathe me' by sia. i was listening to it at the time. and i'm just glad you've got some of those things in life that truly make you happy. sorry if i've freaked you out. but just something about you really struck a chord with me. hope you're happy. sorry for flooding your notes ♥
from clocks :
i think your strength in writing is your deadpan outlook on things. you dont write many words, but the ones written are very valid and thoughtprovoking. however, make sure that your style of writing has room to change.
from agraciana :
Hmm, a book. You should just use your writings. I can see you writing chicklit, similar to Jennifer Weiner (i read her before IN Her Shoes... she's amazing). Whatever you publish, I'll buy it. Love and best wishes. Btw, my name is Jennifer. I still read you. :)
from folkbitch :
I am fully in support of a book. Please send me email(s) at [email protected] with the ideas you have... I'm curious. I'd also proofread if you wanted.
from hip2bme :
I'll look more closely (read other posts) and let you know if I see something you could change. Now, I can see, keep up the heart felt words, describe feelings or as your last posts, give some information that makes people feel what you feel. I'm sorry I can't express myself very well in english.
from mayamimi :
about the 50s and conspiracy, etc. -- there's a book called Prague, and one character is obsessed with nostalgia and why we feel nostalgia for places and times in which we never lived. people always remembered the "good times", which always seemed to be NOT at the moment. it's somewhat interesting ..
from agraciana :
its been at least 3 if not 4 years since i've started reading this. I still do. I'd like to thikn of myself as a devoted reader. Take care.
from lavenderlily :
I absolutely cannot believe she said that to you about losing your baby. That's low as hell, even for her. I think you will be a fantastic mother someday. And I wish to God I had told her not to be at MY wedding, because we both know how that turned out. Sheesh.
from hip2bme :
You touch my heart with your words. Just thought it would be nice to let you know. Hugs, A.
from folkbitch :
I find myself (still) loving your words.
from ohsoquiet :
I've wondered about that myself. What it comes down to, is that there is a difference between being open, and screaming for attention by throwing your shit in people's faces. Depending on what the info is, maybe they're just being defiantly unashamed, which is cool, or maybe... maybe it's just not anyone's goddamned business. Anyway, that's what a friend of mine said when I asked her.
from bathtubmary :
we're october 11th. great time of year for a wedding. xo, d
from bathtubmary :
hello, lovely. to kind-of answer your questions, mikey and i celebrated our 7th year of marriage in october (we've been together more than 10 in all). as for the girl in the picture, if you're talking about the lucky woman in the picture on my homepage, that's a random image i found and loved. don't know who she is, in other words. xoxo, d
from folkbitch :
I have so missed reading you. I'm glad I stopped by again. Hope your wedding was amazing.
from bathtubmary :
happy belated birthday you sweet grown-up woman you! xoxo, d
from clocks :
i remembered-'dreams' by fleetwood mac.
from clocks :
i need to know-what is that song lyric from? its driving me nuts!
from agraciana :
Congrats on the marriage! I've still been reading your journal for years. Its not a sourse of entertainment, but a source of enlightenment. I feel like i'm older then you because i have watched your maturity mature. You. Amaze. Me.
from clocks :
i havent been to dland in awhile...but i have to say i remember reading your diary from what seems like eons ago. and now you are married. i feel older just reading your words. your last 2 entries were beautiful. i hope your marriage is a happy one :)
from bathtubmary :
happy wedding, darling. i hope it is the most fun ever. xoxo, d
from tennisdiva :
i have no tolerance for people who complain about everything and get angry when you try to show them the bright side of things you are so right :)
from verum :
i am so sorry about your baby.
from bathtubmary :
really with the baby, right? you wouldn't joke about something like that? xoxo, d
from annierific :
although i dont feel the same way about shopping-- unless it is for a freaken pair of strappy sands. i truly feel that way about so many other things. like finishing work projects and perfect birthday cakes. its not crazy. its who you are. and who you are is bigger than the mall of america and that bitch has a roller coaster.
from bathtubmary :
laura, honeylamb, the feeling is mutual. i admire you always. xoxo, d
from lavenderlily :
You know, Cassie, I can see how you would think that unisex names are cool, but as somebody who has one, it really, really sucks. You've never had a 9-year-old boy with the same name as you tell you point blank that you have a boy's name, so I can see how you wouldn't realize how frustrating it can be. Regardless, congrats on everything good that's been happening for you. Love, Kerry
from ljungberg8 :
thunder thighs! yes, they are cool. i have them -they keep me warm.
from folkbitch :
Every time I read your journal I am glad to be alive. I've been reading you for over two years, and you're what keeps me coming back to diaryland. I would really like to meet you in person some day.
from operastar :
remember to live transtemporally
from agraciana :
Just the way that you think amazes me... I've been reading now for about 3 years... i love everything about your journal. Keep writing!
from agraciana :
Did you ever take sociology?
from tennisdiva :
It seems like you are really happy and no one deserves that more than you.
from bathtubmary :
all of the above, and more. you sound so joyful and in charge of your life. like my own little girl done grown up. xoxo, d
from ljungberg8 :
well done for getting ergaged! by the way-who's your bro?
from folkbitch :
Congrats on the engagement, Laura.
from bathtubmary :
what? what? what? congrats, darling. on everything. for some reason i feel like you've come so far since i started reading you a few years back. i have no right to say it, but i did anyway. i'm happy for you. xoxoxo, d
from folkbitch :
If you were still reading me and would like to continue, I can give you a screename and password for my diary. My e-mail is [email protected]

from ljungberg8 :
Merry Christmas!
from ljungberg8 :
yes-that sounds like a nice tatt
from kooklafran :
OMG-- you are so good! I just read this latest entry on anorexia--what a wonder.
from annierific :
when you quit smoking- pushing your lungs into a blackened green eyed monster filled hell. then. ill believe you.
from ljungberg8 :
you have been compared to the best people
from folkbitch :
You rox my sox.
from folkbitch :
I've been reading you for a while now, and I just want to say that I have enjoyed it all. I often click the "back" button, as I know that you post several entries in a short span of time sometimes. I just realized I probably sound like a bit of a stalker, but I wanted to thank you for putting out something worthwhile (esp. your honest feelings about life). So, thank you. -Holly
from kooklafran :
"nail into me as if I am the only wood." --so brilliant. I love your writing-- maybe too late to add my thoughts, but I originally got hooked by those entries where you only use dialogue. They are so personal and real.
from ljungberg8 :
you write with so much honesty, i find that refreshing. some things you say really make me think.
from ljungberg8 :
i love your diary
from agraciana :
i know exactly how you feel with the weightloss dealy. Recently in the past year i lost almost 60 lbs and now, guys that i abosolutly used to dred walking by because theyw ould make fun of me, are now vying for my attention. Like i said to them, if you didn't see me for what i was than, don't see me know. I'm exactly the same person, just lighter and i still hate you now the way i did than. God, how i loathe this shallow world.
from gidgetgrrl :
http://operastar.diaryland.com/030615_24.html May I use this entry for my website? Of course I'll give credit where credit is due.
from bathtubmary :
thank you, sweets. back atcha times 10000. xox, d
from agraciana :
So, i've been reading your diary now for, i'd say, close to a year. I don't think i missed one entry, and you would not belive the greatness that are the words you write. I just wanted to let you know how great you are, and that you make my day. =)
from frust :
ah! your entry on fword is great.
from ljungberg8 :
i love what you wrote on fword
from savemyskin :
it's so special to know you privately.. in passwords and in being groped by you in the backseat of the car. wanting to share my clamminess with you.
from verum :
i love this entry. love it, feel it.
from clocks :
hi, i read your entry on fword and i loved it. i thought i'd check your diary out too, and i like that also. you write good!
from kooklafran :
carolyn.--It makes me very happy knowing you have a dwarf friend. :) Male or female? --not that it matters, just curious.
from kooklafran :
hello--if you like the look and sound of things that most people don't--how do you feel about dwarves?? We don't look very attractive but we feel and love just like everyone else :) and I do love your diary.
from metalheart :
some amazing things have been happening here lately. your words have their own heartbeat and it sounds with the speed of espresso. i just thought you should know.
from annierific :
L. your entries this past week have been spirited and lovely. i esp. like the one where you state "i am no longer afraid of men". something i thought you might find interesting... in a article i just recently read about violence against women. The author interviewed men and women. she asked men- what are you afraid of about women. and the majority of men said "rejection", when she asked the women what were they afraid of about men- all the women stated "being killed, rape, or another violent crime". dont be afraid of men. take back the night. i love you. sweet powerful you.
from neuroticaa :
well, /030114_17.html was the first entry i read. the only things i disagreed with was the beginning self-serving aspect, and the part where you said you couldn't picture yourself in a loyal marriage. i'm not condeming you or anything, its just that we seem to have different outlooks on how life should be lived. however, "it's unveiling and a little bit threatening but undeniably worth trying" ......i love that. ;)
from neuroticaa :
i disagree with a lot of what you say in your diary but i absolutely love the way you say it ;)
from orwellian :
ahyes, that whole non gender specific name thing. while useful for me, it's kinda complicated on the net. i'm female, if it must be known. :o) and i have to find an easier way of communiation than this don't i?-
from orwellian :
I admit it- i hate pink. but it just seems so right in your diary. I love the way you write. In short, i like everything about this diary. sam/orwellian
from nakedembrace :
oh this is so sweet. i mean the suntanned legs and all. i like i like. xoxoxoxooxoxooxoxoxoooxoxoxooxoxoxoxo !! ♥.
