I, too, had been wondering how the move was going. So are you loving it? Can't wait to hear more!
from foursquare :
Wow!! I've been wondering about you!
from foursquare :
*knock knock* Anyone there? :-P
from foursquare :
YAAAYYYY!! Woohoo!! I'm so happy for you. :) It must be really relieving!
from junkmel1 :
Woo hoo!!! I know the fence especially sounds like a pain, but just to have it sold...worth it. Good luck on the move!
from foursquare :
Yeah, that does sound like a whole lot more work than it's worth for a house you're not planning to live in anymore. I suppose maybe if things got really desperate, but at this rate, it sounds like hiring a cleaning person for the neighbor's yard would do more good! ;-) I wonder if people are being so nit-picky because of the way the housing market is? There's so much too choose from right now. Or maybe they're just asses. :D (Btw, I liked that c.z. ring, it's really pretty.)
from foursquare :
Could the paneling be torn off and painted underneath, or is it that whatever is underneath would need even more work? I just remember my parents removing paneling from our den room when I was a kid, and they found it came off pretty easily. So then it was just a matter of putty and paint and it looked a million times better!
from junkmel1 :
Crossing my fingers, hopping on one foot, facing north in support of good house-selling vibes. Having a house on the market is so stressful, I know! I'm almost done with all my Christmas shopping, too. Just need to pick up one more gift and some stocking stuff for the kids.
from foursquare :
Speaking of cards... we got one in the mail from you today! :D :D Thanks!
from foursquare :
I was wondering where you went!
from foursquare :
Sneeeakkyy. I must admit I didn't notice on my own though, so I had to hover around and look.
from foursquare :
Could I see pictures too? (I'm guessing you still have my email addy?) That little gif is cute! I was surprised, even though you said she'd cut her hair I still almost didn't recognize her.
from junkmel1 :
I'd love to see your pictures! Oh, and we had to paint cabinets in one house we sold...that job suuuuuucks.
from junkmel1 :
I was wondering about you, hoping you liked the area and found a great house. The times I went to visit my grandmother in Kingman I was always fascinated by the hills/mountains in the area. Not sure which one they were, but to my young self who'd never seen much but flat land and jungle, they looked like mountains!
from foursquare :
Glad to hear it was a good trip. :)
from junkmel1 :
One househunting hint: Take pictures of the front and inside of houses so you can remember them. Twice that Hubby and I househunted a lot in a short period of time, I started mixing parts and pieces of homes to my liking. Hubby took pictures (and I thought he was nuts at the time) and we were able to sort them out and discard many of them by looking at photos, instead of going back to them. I LOVE Sephora, too. Anytime I go through Birmingham, I try to make it there....sigh, I do miss a city.
from foursquare :
Heheee, that does sound funny! I've had some interesting ones before, mostly where I ended up transcribing two files that were both sides of the story on a claim. Funny how the stories are always both so different! --I would totally dig a box of purses in the mail, so hmmm, I wonder if there's something I could trade you?
from junkmel1 :
Better to do all that stuff to the house now, though, before putting it on the market and taking forever to be sold in this kind of market. I hate hate HATE when I have an interpreter. Takes twice as long to do everything!!! And hey, I think I know that attorney! :)
from junkmel1 :
Love the new layout...very interesting. I didn't realize the transcribing work had peaks and valleys, too. I've thought about that recently, wondering if they hire any part-time transcribers, say maybe only a week here or there. I wouldn't be interested until after the first of the year, probably, but we have a couple bills I need to get paid off.
from foursquare :
Ooo, nice layout! I really like your purse too. I desperately need to get a new one for myself. Would you believe I have never bought a purse before? Yep, I only have hand-me-downs from my sister, and the one I'm using is ANCIENT and all frayed. And doesn't stay on my shoulder. And isn't nearly big enough for toting around toddler crap. Hmm. There's a new Kohl's here getting ready to open, I'll have to go there soon.
from foursquare :
Damn, that's awesome about the taxes! I remember you saying they had hurt this year. (Nice on the day's work too! Jeez, I was/am so pathetically slow I can only dream of that. Though I do recall you mentioning your new company pays better too.)
from tootiturtle :
That is such a cute birthday story. :o) I'm glad you had a good time!
from foursquare :
Actually what I really want to comment on is... is that a leopard print cat bed? LOL!
from tootiturtle :
Happy Birthday!!!
from foursquare :
Jeez, that's pretty bad, if your Mom wasn't even sure where you were living! Anyhow, happy birthday! I think we talked about this once, but it's funny, I always remember that since Booger's is the day before. I think Jane (plain-jane) may have your birthday too, and your husband's is the same day as mine. And then one of the other journals I read, her anniversary is the same day as Booger's birtday. Good days of the month I guess. ;)
from junkmel1 :
Happy Birthday! Hope you enjoy the Mexican food.
from foursquare :
I didn't know you wore glasses, heheh. Stuff with effedrine (sp?) I think worked for me a bit in the past, but I get jittery off a glass of Pepsi, so I've never been able to keep up with anything like that for long. Makes me moody too.
from tootiturtle :
It is for migraines (epilepsy, too, I think), but one of the side effects is weight loss. Apparently it's supposed to make you less interested in carbonated drinks and it takes away your appetite. I think it affects people differently, though.
from foursquare :
Aieee, I haven't been to the forums in quite awhile, but I TOTALLY know what you mean! I have had that same exact problem too! Too bad people had to take offense where none was meant.
from junkmel1 :
That sounds miserable...Hope you won't experience it again!
from foursquare :
Oh man, that doesn't sound good. :( I've never had one, but my sister has had them pretty bad before, and I think that sounds kind of like how she described. Hope it doesn't happen again!
from junkmel1 :
Uh, I can think of one public defender in one of our counties who would absolutely agree that I'm bossy, loud, and inappropriate! But I stay on his case only so that we're not all hanging around at 5:30 or 6:00 doing what he should have been doing before lunch. I can feel better now, though, because I know I'm just trying to help him reach his full potential! :)
from foursquare :
That picture cracks me up too! I'm not even sure what it is about it, something about that added "fall" part, and Booger posing all cheesy next to it... lmao. -- I did get that email, and I know she can't be talking about me! Oh my god, from the very first file I ever did I have always googled zipcodes & things to figure out the right names. I've even gone on maps before to figure out street names! AND I've also even searched white page listings to figure out a person's name or address! Ah, if they only knew the trouble I go through for them. (although I'm still only doing tiny bits of work here & there since I still feel wiped out most of the time from the kids. But I get to feeling guilty when I read all the emails begging for people to take on more work.)
from foursquare :
Wow, congrats! That should be really nice, getting a pay increase with them & all, and I hope the audio files are generally good for you too!
from junkmel1 :
Thank you for such a nice comment today. It's been a rough few days. I was interested to see your comment about B's schedule. I know when I first started court reporting, which obviously includes a lot of transcribing, it took me a while to get up to speed at it, too. It just makes you so weary in the beginning. Do y'all have to proofread everything you transcribe?
from foursquare :
aww, that was so cute! (And Booger LOVED watching your kitty in the blanket!)
from foursquare :
Wow, congrats to B! Funny you should mention Mabry Mill, this month's picture on my calendar is of there, and Pooky & I were just talking about trying to make a trip up that way sometime soon.
from foursquare :
Awwwww, I'm so sorry to hear your surgery results haven't been what they should be. :( I can only imagine how disappointing that must be. *hugs* -- I got that email too, and I thought about you and wondered if you might give that a shot. Good luck!
from foursquare :
Yes I did send all the papers off, I've been meaning to write an entry about that. I mailed it on a Saturday -a freakin' week & a half ago- and it was returned to me this past Saturday! With a stamp on it basically saying they tried to deliver it and the location didn't exist. I was so pissed. I checked my emails and checked online, I had the address wrote down correctly (and no bad handwriting). I even ended up calling RT and speaking with the receptionist to verify the address, and she too was just as baffled as to why it didn't go. So I sent it out again Monday, and I sure damn hope it gets there this week.
from foursquare :
You have a cute home. :) I was kind of sighing a little too, because man, my house is like a fortress with all the childproofing, and I was looking at yours thinking how nice it must be having all those decoration & furniture things set out. Damn you childfree people! :-P
from tootiturtle :
I'm interested in seeing the pictures, if that's okay with you. :)
from foursquare :
It looks really cute!
from babytooti :
You have such beautiful hair! I'm so envious. :)
from tootiturtle :
Hehehe...I usually always mess with the wrong one first. Way to go! It looks so much better now!
from foursquare :
Yay! Much cuter now. :)
from foursquare :
Maybe do something like this? Copy and paste your code into Word (or whatever) that you have in the regular entries thing so it's saved. Change the whole diary to a default Diaryland one. Then put the saved code from the new layout back in, then you'd have that and the default one in the older entries. Then maybe you can start over on the archives and figure it out better from there?
from tootiturtle :
Your new template is beautiful! You're the layout whiz! I can't figure out what's wrong with your older entries page. It looks like something kept getting copied over and over. Or the format of the actual older entry links was messed up somehow.
from foursquare :
Whoa... I think you somehow copied the template, or part of it into the entry box... But I have no idea what you'd do to fix it! (and *sigh*, yeah I don't know what we're going to do about the truck & car... trying to think on that.)
from foursquare :
Suzuki?
from foursquare :
Something funky was going on in Diaryland yesterday. I never got this note notify, and for some reason when I put up yesterdays entry practically the whole page was cut off. I had done nothing to the template or pictures or anything to have caused that. So I put up one of the lame default templates to make the entry show. Today I tested my regular one back out, and it worked fine. The previous entry that was all messed before is fine now too. Weird.
from foursquare :
You know, I sort of did, but not completely. I had been really meaning to update soon (and I totally keep meaning to update daily again), because how could I hold back those wonderful shit stories? But yeah, just in case that prod might have been at me (and others) in a general way, it did give me a slight kick in the ass ;)
from junkmel1 :
email address is [email protected]. Thanks!
from junkmel1 :
I'd love to see your pictures now. When you posted about seeing pictures before we were still on dial-up internet service (yeah, we're in the boonies), but we just got DSL yesterday and I can actually get pictures now in less than an hour's downloading time! Woo Hoo!!!
from foursquare :
I looked at the pictures, to me you look noticeably slimmer. :) -I think that hairstyle would probably look good on you, I think you have the right kind of face it would be really cute with. My hair is down to the middle of my back, and it's ungodly thick and bugging me badly. (Everytime I get my hair cut the hairdresser's are always like, "oh my god!"). My hair is bothering the heck out of me, and I don't know what to do. I have outgrown highlights from last winter (!), thick ass long boring hair -and a husband who will grumble forever if I cut more than an inch off. I'm thinking of maybe some serious layers soon.
from nmnohr :
Just stopping by to say HI and catch up with you!!!!
from junkmel1 :
By any chance is it Bank of America? We got an account with them while we lived in Charleston and were very disappointed they don't have ANY branches in Mississippi. We kept our BOA, but did open an account at a local bank branch. Now we're so aggravated with them (they LOVE to find any reason to put a hold on checks, and no, we've never bounced not one) that we now bank by mail with BOA exclusively. Where is your husband taking transcription courses? Is it a by-mail course? I'm just being nosey. Yay for the garment-free day!
from junkmel1 :
Thanks for the note. We actually do have a Big Wheel (only now it's a Green Machine). In fact, I think we have nearly everything on wheels but a four-wheeler...and they ride them all, but they're sure THAT would be better than anything else. BTW, I don't think it's odd to wonder what happened, and I'd probably have written a note to him wondering myself. I hope you'll post if he answers.
from foursquare :
Really glad to hear everything went well. :)
from tootiturtle :
Best of luck with your surgery tomorrow. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers that everything will go well and that you'll find peace about the whole ordeal. :)
from foursquare :
Jeez, what a day. But glad you're going in! I'll be thinking of you, check in when you can. :)
from la-blue-eyez :
You're going to be fine. I know it's frustrating having to go through everything... But it's really for your own protection. Also, you may feel pretty bruised up for a few days afterwards. It'll just depend on your doctor. I can't wait to see the before and after pics!
from foursquare :
I like watching those makeover shows too, and while I have a decent stomach for medical stuff, I always get grossed out when I see lipo being performed and they're sucking out the liquid fat. Blegh! But I'm happy for you. :) Definitely get some before and after photos! And take measurements. I want to see damn it! I don't know what's low sodium, but I know what isn't :P -canned soups are usually high in sodium, as are frozen dinners, but maybe you don't eat like that anyway.
from junkmel1 :
I hate hate hate hate dealing with insurance snafus. The beaches are one thing we really miss about South Carolina. I'd never lived near the beach, but when we moved to Charleston we started enjoying them frequently. Good luck with your surgery!
from junkmel1 :
I just wanted to drop in and say hi. I found your link through the comments on Foursquare. Do you do all types of transcription work? Good luck with the lipo when you finally get to have it!
from foursquare :
Yay!!!! Glad it's happening!
from la-blue-eyez :
Happy Birthday! I know I'm a day early. I'm thinking about you though and I hope you have a great one!
from foursquare :
Yeeshh... Doesn't sound fun... But I hope it gets your platelets up and you'll have the surgery soon.
from foursquare :
Awww, that sucks. :(
from foursquare :
Ummm, I'm still here.
from la-blue-eyez :
Tell Bruce thank you for me. I appreciate his thoughts on my nightmare. I don't think it's about moving though. I've had my own place before, and if I'm afraid of anything, it's staying here with all of the violence I live in. Moving is a very positive thing for me and I don't fear it, I embrace it. I have a few fears about moving to California, but they're just minor fears like how fast will I be able to find an apartment... Things like that. But I have all good memories of California, so I know it's not the place either. And there's such a strong significant feeling to me about that dream and remembering his name. I can't help but wonder if his name are initials to something? I've tried making words out of SAM but there's so many... And I don't even know if it's really significant or just the fact that I woke up saying it.
from la-blue-eyez :
I posted an entry tonight about a nightmare I had. Would you take a look at it (Or B) and tell me your thoughts?
from foursquare :
That's the day of your actual birthday then, I think? Awesome!
from la-blue-eyez :
Happy Anniversary!!!
from i-found-him :
Happy Anniversary!
from la-blue-eyez :
I know this is probably a sin because so many people love AI... But I've never seen one show of it. (Never seen survivor either)
from i-found-him :
Between the two of us, maybe we'll send Elliott on into the finals!
from nmnohr :
It's been raining like crazy here. I'm so sick of this weather! I think we're finally supposed to have a nice weekend. We need it!
from i-found-him :
I'm rooting for Elliot, too. I want him to win because he's so humble and I think he deserves it sooo much. :)
from nmnohr :
You look adorable!!!!!!!!!!
from foursquare :
You look so cute! Your hair also looks much different than what I remembered from an older picture. Longer, and darker I think. :)
from foursquare :
That sounds like a wonderful present! It sounds like something that would make you much happier mentally and physically, I hope you can do it. :)
from foursquare :
Neat gif, those are pretty cool. :) Cute cat & bunny too! (By the way, I know I'm shamefully late in replying to your email, but I intend to soon.)
from i-found-him :
I have seen rabbit pellets strewn around my yard and occasionally I see our own bunny rabbits hopping about and eating our seemingly endless growth of clover. It turns out that they've created a crater under our deck and took up residence under there! Maybe that's what your rabbit is doing. :)
from i-found-him :
The cat toy came from Sharper Image: http://www.sharperimage.com/us/en/catalog/product/sku__TK101
from la-blue-eyez :
Doctors usually understand if you can't do something for financial reasons and they're usually really good about working with you. So hopefully she will be too.
from la-blue-eyez :
I think you wrote this entry as a subliminal message to me... lol I think that's exactly what I need to do to... Break away from my mom.
from la-blue-eyez :
I like the gifs you make too. You do a great job. I've seen Panic Room, that movie had me sitting on the edge of my seat too! I haven't seen Flight Plan yet, but I'm dying to!
from foursquare :
Those gifs you make are neat. :) (She looks(ed) good with blonde hair, but I like her with her natural color better.)
from la-blue-eyez :
I've been looking for another roommate, but the rent for a one bedroom is almost the exact same as splitting a 2 bedroom. I think right now, it'd be best for me to live alone. I'm going to see if I can find anything in my price range. I'm thinking about finding a part time job as well. Then I won't be hurting so much by the high prices.
from la-blue-eyez :
I'm finally caught up on your diary. Sounds like you've been busy. Hope everything is going well!
from foursquare :
Man, I felt rotten trying to think of negative traits!
from la-blue-eyez :
I'm glad your Vday was good.
from foursquare :
I'm glad it went well with your husband telling his brother, it must feel better having that out of the way -neat gif too!
from foursquare :
That's interesting, I noticed the missing "l" too, but I didn't think it would do that. I thought you could code it as "htm", or at least I'm pretty sure I've seen that before. Glad it's working!
from foursquare :
I looked your source code over, but I'll be damned if I can figure it out. The only thing I noticed is if you click on your newest entry link that too goes to the error page. So it must be the same mistake. Hmm.
from i-found-him :
I peeked at your source code and the only thing I noticed is that the link for your older entries page is missing the last 'l' in older.html. Hope that helps. Actually, I hope what I just said makes sense!
from i-found-him :
You want bangs, too?! :) I like mine. I got the longer length so that I can sweep them to the side. My hairdresser said that the first thing I should do when I get out of the shower is to put gel on them to keep them down. Then she said that in about 2 weeks, they'll be trained to stay that way!
from i-found-him :
I know exactly what you mean about worrying that something's going to happen to your honey. Or anyone you care about, for that matter. Just let him know that you're there for him. I don't think there's much else you can do.
from foursquare :
"Elizabeth and Jessica, with their beautiful heart shaped faces, and long sun-streaked blonde hair". God, I was addicted to those books from like ages 10 - 13. The "Babysitter's Club" books too.
from foursquare :
cute kitties!
from la-blue-eyez :
I don't mind at all if you show B my dream. As for how I felt about the man behind the counter... When he was talking like he had turrets, it reminded me of a movie I'd watched a long time ago (Duece Bigalow) but I didn't feel anything or think anything bad about him. When he was sweating, I was kind of intrigued by the fact he was so nervouse about something and yet, nothing had happened. He just kept watching the un-named blonde. When he started playing with his saliva, I just watched with amusement. I didn't feel disgust or anything. But when the man looked at me with his head down and his eyes looking up at me, I felt like he could see through me and I felt a little uncomfortable. Did that answer the question well enough? I kind of started rambling a little.
from dvlsdisguise :
I know how you feel about the price! All mine are paperback but my mother bought this last one in hardback because she knew I wanted to read it and decided she didn't want me having to wait months to pick it up in paperback. I winced when I saw the receipt too!
from foursquare :
I don't know how to set them up, but I think it's so you can put in things like what kind of music you're listening to, random things like that.
from nmnohr :
Love your diary!!!!! Thanks for the nice description!
from foursquare :
Love that description in your profile! :) Heh, but I guess it's true...
