you are probably writing your bio diploma right about now! i hope it is going fantastically. just to clarify, i dont think i actually got a 98...iim pretty sure it was a 96 or something. i know it probably doesn't seem like a big difference, but it actually is because 96 is just a really good mark while 98 is freakish and kind of upsetting. but i guess it's too late to tell you that because you're probably already there or done it. damn. im free tonight until 8, on the off chance that you feel like calling.

you should consider taking cramp bark. i used to get really horrendous cramps (like to the point of immobilization and near-passing out) until i began this all the time vitamin regime and take cramp bark tea on the first day of my period (along with tylenol). ok well you probably didn't care to know all that, but there it is any way. you can get that at health food stores

That sounds great! I think that once you've decided on a vision for the book, what the content would be, who would edit what, put together a synopsis that includes all the details, who you think the audience is - the demographics, etc and include an excerpt. Then send some query letters or emails to publishers you think would be interested in this type of book. I would suggest going to the Danforth Review online (www.danforthreview.com) and looking at their links page for publishers. Also, whoever runs the site probably has a lot of connections and the league of canadian poets is the perfect hook-up. Email some of the poets who've been involved with the site (I saw that stuart ross has commented a few times and he's got connections all across Canada). Good luck!

Places in Montreal you should visit: Santrapol restaurant at the corner of St.Urban and Duluth. You should walk down Duluth, it's cobblestoned and where leonard cohen lived and there's a cafe called Focus or Fokus where i did my first poetry reading. Also, you should go to get bagels at Fairmount bagels and go to a store called Elle Curazon on Bernard. There are great crafts. 'zines and feministy girls there. It's close to Cafe Esperenza, where there are great veggie eats and fun people. Walk around the Mile End district in general, it's fun and funky. There are some great vegan restaurants too. If I remember the name I'll leave you a note. There's a great instition in the montreal folk community called the Yellow Door, look it up, there are open mics and lots of legends have played there. I hope it's still there! Have fun in my hometown:) How long are you there for?

heya, dropped on in and thought I would say hi! I am glad to see your mom seemed okay with your choice of sexuality, I have many friends who struggle with their families in telling them, and them accepting it as adults. Some of them are in their 30's and still hiding it from families and co-workers. You are very lucky, remember that, the tables could be turned. I hated cutting I used to burn myself with lighters, see it's about being in love with your pain, a type of a mourning a reminder that you are alive and through that pain, it "wakes" you up from a slumber of your own emotions and thoughts. I haven't burned myself in years... but I remember why...
