I still follow.
from whystinger :
I never read your diary before but something made me click on it today. Write more and I will check it out when I can find it... Where I live now has horrible internet... so it is difficult, plus time is short.
from argentum :
Best wishes. Having lost my father as well, I can relate.
from runner4ever :
Wow - you must be world-class, or close anyway. Best I ever placed was 12th in a relatively small, local 10-K when I was 33 years old, and my time was only 38:12. That, by the way, was 24 years ago. I have no idea what my pace is these days, and I'm not even sure I want to know. I didn't run for four years, gained fifty pounds, and had to diet twenty-five of them off of me in order to start running again. Then lost the other twenty-five, but I'm still thirty-five pounds heavier than I was in my racing hey-dey. Congratulations on your 1st place, and all the others. Don't kick yourself about that one race, you'll kick ass next weekend for sure.
from runner4ever :
You ought to update more. Your one entry is really good.
from runner4ever :
Hey man. I just saw you'd added me - it's good to meet another runner on this site. I'll add you & keep up with your training & coaching if you don't mind. Hope things are going well. - Andy
from ladyluck92 :
Well somethings in life you just don't need to have high standards for! Feel free to read and comment anytime!
from crestone :
I'm so sorry to hear about your dog. I hope that you're doing well and have been running with the speed and elegance of a gazelle :-)
from ladyluck92 :
I just now realized that you listed me as one of your favorite diaries. Which was probably a while ago, because I never check those things much. Now I am curious... why??? I just think that my ranting would be boring to most people. Anyway, I just wanted to say Hi, since I noticed!
from crestone :
whoa, tough call on this one--both sound amazingly awesome. if it were me though, i'd have a hard time breaking from tradition and i'd probably do the race. you haven't missed it for 12 years and that's pretty major. plus it's not only a tradition, but a personal tradition. i think those are the most important to keep at. havasu will still be there even if the logistics of making arrangements might not happen for another year or so. regardless, either way, you're going to have a blast! i accidentally left this note on my own "notes" page. ha ha.
from crestone :
That was some excellent trivia! I love the false start to that song. When I listened to it recently for the first time in a long time, I kept thinking, 'I wonder what the false start would sound like if it was played out into a full song'--guess I always want things I can't have!
from crestone :
oh man, i just finished listening to "house of pain"--which you inspired me to do. all of these songs are SO amazing. are you also into lita ford?
from crestone :
ha, that's crazy. i LOVE that song. i saw la guns perform it live when i was like 13. even then, i KNEW it would be one i'd always like. what else is on your mix cd?
from crestone :
poor thing! on the positive side, at least you can still run on your trails. we're having some mountain lion and bear issues around here. i'm strictly sticking to suburban sidewalks!
from jennifergwl :
I just discovered you have me on your favorite list and so I decided to find out who you are. Your latest entry intrigues me. I know I am a stranger, but I would venture to say don't fight it. I know you say the feeling passes, but try to embrace and hold onto it. You might find something interesting and maybe even life altering.
from wolfish :
hey-- i know i dropped off the face of the earth. i checked my old reads and definitely missed reading up on you. drop me a line sometime! erika, aka blackndnails
from crestone :
i have a new diary now and i promise to write you back soon!
from vaguehorror :
oh. well that's not as bad, i suppose.
from vaguehorror :
i would absolutely never speak to diaryland again if my older entries were deleted!! also, i'd cry.
from when :
intense racing schedule! i hope you're taking a break now and that the break includes lots of ice and electrolyte replacement.
from when :
hi fellow runner. maybe if you were accompanying me this weekend i would have actually finished the 20-miler. what's your running schedule like?
from wednes-danny :
a semi-belated but sincere wish for a happy birthday!
from wednes-danny :
when you were younger did the world seem bigger? did it seem to be a better place or were you happy because you didn't know any better? or were you happy because the world, your world, was just small enough?
from rae-16 :

from vaguehorror :
my new entry (4/7/05): ...dedicated to youuu
from vaguehorror :
diaryland seems dead, and it scares me, so i'm going to leave everyone notes and stuff. don't leave! don't be like everyone else! ...oh, and i thought of you because i was at Santa Cruz and.. well, it's obvious why you came to mind.
from blackndnails :
thanks for leaving me a note, it cheered me. and congrats on making it to state, i know its a big deal over at our school when stuff like that happens, so way to go! and make sure you take advantage of those dating opportunities that comes across your way--i know i do, heh heh. just kidding! see you around.
from blackndnails :
heh, thanks for the note. you'll think of something for the holidays. hey, you live in az, right? i could make you some cookies and fed-ex 'em. and i make damn good cookies, if i say so myself. and i do. lol. take care.
from duckymonkey :
That was totally the reason you went to the volleyball games -- sweaty girls. 'I like volleyball' -- pah!
from duckymonkey :
Hey you with the wedding dress on, the white chiffon blowing in the wind. Hey you with dreams in your head, you've been so misled by your heart's pull.
from blackndnails :
heh heh, yea, Jerome is good times. when we went up there, we met this guy who was walking around town drinking coke out of a brown bag and wearing a green dress. this other guy insisted on talking to our crew, telling us how he cut off his finger and then ceran-wrapped it, and that's why its still attached to his hand. yea, jerome is good times indeed. check out the Grand Hotel if you get the chance. we shot our film there. it used to be an old mental facility/hospital. creepy place. have fun!
from pariahpoet :
I was just in the Durango-Silverton area camping a couple weeks ago. A marmot ate the engine out of our car. Have you ever been to Upper Mineral campground? I think that's the one. It's a few miles out of Silverton. Oh and the coffee shop on the main street in Silverton has awesome Italian cream sodas.
from duckie2397 :
sounds like you had an awesome vacation:)
from dreamer2003 :
Sounds like an awesome 2 week vacation!!
from dreamer2003 :
:) That's ok..you're welcome! haha..you don't have to update everyday. I know that when I don't, some of my readers get antsy and I just feel guilty too.
from dreamer2003 :
Yeah..I know that a lot of people are reading my diary, and I don't want anyone to really be shocked about something I write & to worry about it. Also, my boyfriend reads it too..so that's another thing. Anyway, I am glad that you had a great experience at Hoby! :)
from duckymonkey :
Well, you haven't updated. Or sommat. And I will cry is what I will do. Every minute that you are away. Nah, I've been working. And biking. A lot. Nice. Mehhhh. RAR.
from duckymonkey :
Yay! Sounds fun. Very interesting about the 20 year old. Interesting indeed. So yes. Hello. Long time no see, y0.
from duckymonkey :
I love me some Hector! *fangirls* Can't be arsed to say much else. But yay! Oh, yeah. Hector is your new name as of 10 seconds ago. Enjoy, m'loff.
from psychefox :

from dreamer2003 :
Aww..Hoby sounds like fun!!
from dreamer2003 :

from dreamer2003 :
Ah a shooting star..definite good sign. :) Well, I hope so. Have a great week!
from duckymonkey :
Hee. Thanky! And no problem...cos I can't remember your birthday. *wibbles and hides* I've decided I have to know someone for over three years to remember their birthday and that's only if I'm lucky (I can only remember my family's birthdays. Bah.) But yay! Geminis rock!
from dreamer2003 :
Wow, what a fiasco. I REALLY hope that he knows what he's doing and is prepared to deal with her in the long haul.
from dreamer2003 :
Oh no! There's MORE?? lol.
from duckymonkey :
Man...Chicks suck.
from dreamer2003 :
Awww I am so sorry about your friend Peter. :( He is lucky to have a friend like you though to get him through this.
from banefulvenus :

from dreamer2003 :

from duckymonkey :
You're like some kind of wicked witch from Oz with all this melting.
from dreamer2003 :
Wow, I am sure it is sizzling hot there..i'll get used to it SOMEHOW. lol.
from duckymonkey :
Hey tiger, rawr. Nice to see you back, eh. Even if you don't like my diary's look. *le sigh* Or meh. Whatev. You should go out and get some Cheerios or what. They have THE awesomest Shrek watches in them. And get this -- they glow in the dark. Flippin' awesome, y0. LOFF!
from duckie2397 :

Yes, god is a plan for us all. :)
from dreamer2003 :

from dreamer2003 :

from dreamer2003 :
Aww, I miss Flagstaff and Sedona. :( It's great to know that there are still some nice people left in this world, people that only want to help. Congratulations!!!
from duckymonkey :
You are _such_ a dork. Heee. (re: your note)
from dreamer2003 :
Heh, I'd love to skip town anyday. I hate naps too..ugh. But sometimes they happen without me wanting them to. lol.
from duckymonkey :
My birthday's the last week of May! Just so y'know...you know and all...Don't do boys. Don't do boys who do crystal. Don't do crystal, boys. Great song. Wuv you too!
from dreamer2003 :
Ah, you have good taste. :) South Park never disappoints in the laughter department. LOL that was a very funny scene. =)
from dreamer2003 :
You know the saying..it's either feast or famine.
from dreamer2003 :
I think you should ask that friend to the wedding. You'll never know what will happen until you take the plunge.
from dreamer2003 :
heh, I have a LJ too but I update this more. There's just 'something about LJ.' haha.
from dreamer2003 :
lol Yeah, it's love. I'm sure it is hot there in Aug, but I don't care as long as I'm with him. :) Well you guys are my friends. but as for BEST friends, hmm I don't know. Well, take care and thanks for the message!
from dreamer2003 :
Another great entry. :)
from duckymonkey :
I feel bad for not really commenting on your entry...but I read it, I promise. I'm just a bit pre-occupied with the note you left me. *shudders* VIRGIN EYES! VIRGIN EYES! *runs around screaming* Hm. Have you seen Life of Brian, though? It's hilarious. There's a sex scene in there, too, that you could compare to yours if you wanted. (And there's a bunch of really awesome British people! Eric Idle is loverly.)
from dreamer2003 :
That was a nice, thoughtful entry. I agree with what you said.
from duckymonkey :
Well, then...I guess you don't like me! *runs off with her short hair to cry in a corner* Such a cruel world to bestow this short hair upon mine head!
from wednes-danny :

from dreamer2003 :
Really? Wouldn't want that to happen again. heh. You'll see em this time around.
from duckymonkey :
Yeah, I admit the alternate endings were pretty bad, but I'm just glad they chose the one they did. But eh. I think one would've been super swell if they had just killed off everyone and the only thing living was the chicken and then they showed chickens taking over the world and becoming the next humans. I would've laughed. That'd be awesome. Yeah.
from splash-girl :
heeey, I hit it at 9:30 too. HA. and...and...johnny be good, replacing johnny with brian and go with run. yeah backtothefuture. i am AMazing.
from duckymonkey :
Haha. All I saw at first was "allow me to whip" and was like 'Hey now...' Very nice song, I loved it. You should be a songwriter person. *higgles*
from duckymonkey :
Hooker is such a neato word. Hookerhookerhooker. You could make a song out of that word and then it'd be a really cool song cos it'd have 'hooker' in it.
from smess :
I mostly agree with your thoughts on The Passion of the Christ (although I've not yet seen it). I've always thought being the victum of crucifixion was a pretty bad thing, maybe one of the worst things. So I'm wondering why people are so suprised by it, maybe I should go find out...
from smess :
I definately am the hottest thing at DQ, would that be considered witty as we serve cold treats? Anyway...
from blackndnails :
yuh, i live in az, aka the hotter than hell pit in the US. jerome, jerome! i'm so excited!...we're gonna have this badass film festival at our school in april and my submission is prly gonna be the only one entered by a female..booya baby! erm, ya.
from blackndnails :

from blackndnails :
i stumbled upon your diary...wow. your poetry is really awesome. i hope you don't mind, i'm going to add you to my favorites. i hope you find what you're looking for... erika*
from groban83 :
Heeey there saw on a list of one of my friend stop by to say hi.
from bluezy :
If I could be in half the shape your in I'd come in last place and be thrilled... don't let your hopes get down. I have more admiration for you than I do for most people.
from dreamer2003 :
I loved that entry..probably one of your best. I am a woman..obviously..and sometimes I don't even understand why we do what we do.
from downforever :
ouch, got me man... my 5K is 17:18. and as for the others, I haven't timed, but my 5 mile at practice is usually a 30-35. but that is just practice. Plus I am out of shape. After high school cross country was over I stopped. Heh. Anyway, good job on the 16:40. running a marthon is on my list of things to do before I die.
from downforever :
I too am an artist, and a runner. My art is mostly Graphic Design (which I will be majoring in) and Photography (which I will be minoring in). Soo... what's your best 5K time?
from downforever :
http://direwulf.diaryland.com/030801_49.html that's a really good poem. Wow. I enjoyed it thoroughly
