Fantastic to make it to 1000! Do we need to start a ring for anyone who makes it to 2000? Having written up only 50 days last year my plan in 2006 is to post 1000 words every day. Sometimes more, never less.

That does actually sound like a pretty cool idea- a compilation sketchbook of you guys showing all of the progress that has been made. If I actually have money, I would most definitely help fund such a thing (same goes for anything you would do). But yes- the sketch book idea greatly intrigues me!

I would miss you of course, but you have to do what you have to do. This place helps me keep sane. Sometimes I write three times a day, and other times I go a week or so without writing. You have to figure out what this place's purpose is in your life. If there is no purpose anymore then shut it down.

My thoughts on closing down are for you to do what you want. Do you want to close down? Does keeping this site make you happy? I've stuck around because it amuses and entertains me. There have been a couple issues along the way, so I've made a fresh start of things now and again, but overall it's enjoyable so I continue to do it.

I've closed mine down several times, and sometimes I just go on periods of hiatus. When the words can't come, sometimes you have to stop for a while, and put everything back into prospective....I'd hate to see you go, but if you need to stop, and that's what you feel you should do...then pause for a while, and get everything straightened out. :)

i'm curious how you started writing a novel. did you start with the overall plot or did you just develop some characters and see where they go? it seems like such an overwhelming thing to begin.

But you know, I'm really not that worldly-wise, but it sounded good. And I've heard very wise people say it. So, in summation, I say this- MIKE- YOU NEED TO FUCKING RELAX, YOU NEED TO GET THE FEEDBACK AND NOISE AND BULLSHIT OUT OF YOUR HEAD, YOU NEED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT YOU WANT, YOU NEED TO HUNT IT LIKE A LARGE FISH VS.
