Basil is easy to kill but 5Ks aren't easy. Congrats! <3
from kelsi :
Our bodies can sometimes be very complicated and confusing, but they can also be awesome and amazing, particularly our healing capabilities. Glad you got to keep your hand! Although an electronic hand would've been cool too.
from dangerspouse :
Awwwwwwwwwwww! I love cats :)
from dangerspouse :
A jackalope?
from dangerspouse :
Time to say "fuck it" and turn lezzie. Post pics.
from kelsi :
p.s. Sorry about your ex-boyfriend, what a turd.
from kelsi :
Once, I decided I had to give up boys for a while - including giving up all hopes and daydreams etc. in order to figure out who I was on my own. Turns out, May is National Masturbation Month, the perfect month to figure things out on your own. :)

I deleted my ex-wife and her family from my social media, partly from keeping her in the distance, as she has been contacting me. I also felt that it would help me move one and that was right for me. It did take me a while to decide to drop them, so you will drop them when you are ready.

Re: Hello Twenty Sixteen. That would be awesome! I am trying to do a few of those things myself.
from kelsi :
In *my* expert opinion you should get a vintage record player, like, 1970s, early '80s. But snobbery aside, anything that gets you listening to records is going to be rad. Yay!
from kelsi :
Oh, thank you for the nice note, which reminded me that I meant to write you one about how I'm glad you've got your own apartment. Transitional times are tough but important.
from dangerspouse :
Men suck. We really do. It's an ongoing wonder to me why the majority of women in the world aren't lesbians. I know I would be. I hope beer and friends and white hot fury are enough to see you through and get you back on track. Hang in there, kid.
from kelsi :
Ahh, cat of the night, we are strong and resilient creatures who can make it through difficult times and emerge as powerful... swans. (Sorry, couldn't finish eloquently. I meant well, though.)
from kelsi :
Hang in there, lady! I suppose it's good to have times of overwhelmedness every once in a while, to make the other times mo better. Right? Or at least that's what I tell myself sometimes.
from kelsi :
What's going on? Are you teaching? Hope all is well.
from kelsi :
I've never read To Kill A Mockingbird either, which has always been a shameful secret of mine.
from dangerspouse :
I dunno. "Grevy" doesn't sound quite as appealing.
from kelsi :
Yum, food! You can come visit me during your time off!
from kelsi :
What! Your best friend dumped your boyfriend for you without your permission?!? Couldn't you have another friend undump him?
from stepfordtart :
You are right. That IS shitty. s x
from dangerspouse :
What is it that would make you happy?
from kelsi :
Ugh.
from stepfordtart :
What The Actual Fuck!!!! If I saw someone with a gun outside my classroom, I would shit my pants. There is a lot wrong with England but 'being able to do something' about a nutter carrying a gun isnt one of them. Dont you have a 'causing fear' law there? s x
from atwowaydream :
Never discount the power of hamburger bun garlic bread. It definitely ties the meal together. :)
from stepfordtart :
"Cranberry Ginger Shandy" even SOUNDS crap! s x
from kelsi :
It is online but I don't think on netflix... looks like Hulu and Amazon. Your local library may have the DVDs.
from dangerspouse :
Ugh. Yeah, Blue Moon is made by Coors, so not exactly "micro" any more. Good on you for treating your dad to lunch and a configuring! I wish my dad had a child who was that considerate.
from kelsi :
I wish I were you reading Pride and Prejudice for the first time! Oh god, when you've finished the book you have to watch the BBC production with Colin Firth. Oh man. I am so jealous of you.
from atwowaydream :
Twin Peaks damn fine cup of coffee videos always brighten Diaryland up.
from dangerspouse :
Lol. Don't be disappointed. In fact, because of the prevalence "candied yams", MANY people think they are interchangeable. I'm sure you're very smart in other areas ;)
from dangerspouse :
Thanks for the note...in the right place! I dunno about using yams in place of pumpkin, kiddo. Remember, yams are not sweet potatoes. They have much less sugar, and are usually only used in savory dishes. But sweet potatoes ARE used in desserts, and that might be something to try indeed. I can say, though, that the butternut squash variation works great. Better than pumpkin in pumpkin pie, for my money.

Hey nacht-katze, when you reply you should do so in the asker's Notes, not your own. Since D-Land doesn't have a notification system, that's the only way many of us know when others have replied. Thanks! (And - do you use canned pumpkin in your muffins, or fresh? I have to admit, much as I love making things from scratch I haven't noticed a big difference between the two. But I've also been making pumpkin dishes using butternut squash for the the pumpkin for the past two years or so, and that DOES make a difference. You might want to try it some time!) :)
from jaysthoughts :
I've been here since the beginning. I might've heard of them. What were they?
from jaysthoughts :
Just checking to see how many diarylanders still actually check their notes and stay active.
from nacht-katze :
It's a literal one. I think it's been blown out of proportion, however (pun intended). As such, I'm meeting my mom for lunch... in the non-torando rain.
from dangerspouse :
Is that a metaphorical tornado, or are they separate events?
from kelsi :
Hooray!

update April 6, 2020: Sorry, we just had 8+ hours downtime due to a server problem. Restoring from backups took soooo long, but everything is back and no data was lost. Ay yay yay! Anyhow, hope everyone is well with the virus stuff.
