Aw thanks Pandi! It's been a long time coming, that's for sure. The mingos said hi back! They also said honk, honk, honk, flappity flap! |

I'm listening to "Hold On" right now - for the first time without crying since your note about the vampire lover! Even after several glasses of surefire-tear-inducing wine! Thank you so much for the imagery. As long as I stick to that, I'm okay. I can finally listen to this beautiful song once more. Thank you. |

Thanks, please stop by my diary any time! I love the feedback |

I considered the possibility of a bug or something similar but there's no prominent area that shows any pattern or bite marks - and scabies is between your fingers which I dont have at all...I am hoping the dermatologist has something enlightening to share with me cuz god knows I am sick of dealing/worrying about it. |

The whole terror alert thing is about controling the mass populance with fear. It is just a means of control and has nothing to do with safety, if that was the case there would never have been any attacks (note that it is plural) on the trade towers. There is a possibilty of attacks ,but only because the bureaucrats want us to keep them elected. Notice no one will take any blame.. Disgusting... |

Seeing your design makes me want to go to the zoo. Btw.. I hate bush too! |

Yes, it was the bomb. :-) At least the birds were cute and entertaining. They made it worth being shat on so many times. |

P.S. I'm glad you liked that entry. It was *supposed* to be funny, but I thought it might come across as a Smug Married to my single friends. |
from neko-carre : |
Oh yes, I did get your email. Sorry, I should've said, "Got it!" A longer reply coming soon, of course. |
from science-girl : |
Check out my newest entry. :-) You'd like it. |

I haven't read Time in months...it's weird that I picked it up the other day and read the *exact same article*. And it disturbed me too. As big of a monster Saddam was, the one thing that he did have was a secular government. |
from neko-carre : |
Okay, Miss P. It just isn't the same without you. You must update at least *once* a day, n'kay? |
from idiot-milk : |
Do you ever fear for the future of humanity? I mean, there are just SO MANY fucking imbeciles out there. Have there always been so many idiots? Or are they increasing in number? I thank god every day that idiocy isn't communicable. |
from spencersmom : |
I hear ya...sometimes you need a break. Priorites and all that. Besides, I *know* I will be reading your entries on a pretty regular basis with the election coming. |

Yeah, I know that NaNoWriMo is nothing to worry about AT ALL. I know that you don't even have to post anything if you don't want. But you should've heard my dad last night. I don't think he's ever been on the Net in his life, and here he's telling me that this is an online "cult" and that I shouldn't do it and he was warning me about getting involved, just like when I'd be over there visiting and going out that night, and he'd be all, "You really need to be careful. Don't get in anyone's car you don't know, don't go walking by yourself, don't leave your girlfriend alone." I'm like, "Dad. I'm 25. I know how this works." Sheesh. I knew when he was going off about NaNoWriMo (a thing he knows NOTHING about and I'd only discussed for about 30 seconds), I was thinking, "*Snort*, Pandi would get a kick out of this." |
from science-girl : |
I'm right there with you. I'd LOVE to be that girl, too. I'd love to be anywhere but here, actually, but being on a beach somewhere would be even better! |

Huh! I tried replying to your HBD email, but it said you didn't exist?? Anyway, here was the content: "Aw, thanks,[Pandi]! You're awesome for remembering! P.S. When's yours? (I'm sure I already know, I just can't recall at the moment. Libra?)" |
from chadly7 : |
Hi Pandi! Thanks for stopping by my site. I always love feedback. I snooped around your site, too, hopefully upping the counter by at least a few notches (but probably not exponentially). Keep up the great writing. |

WOW!!! I had no idea there were that many movies about vampires. I mean, I figured there were a ton, but that's a TON! How could I forget "The Hunger"? I loved Bowie, the Bauhaus, and vampires in the 80s, so that was THE film. (I still have a movie poster from it!) I think "Love Bites" is the one with Adam Ant. "Bram Stoker's Dracula" with Gary Oldman scared the SHIT out of me, but not in a good way. I don't think I'll ever watch that one again. "Blade" was actually not bad, although I've never seen "Blade 2" which I heard was terrible. How many of these have you seen? |
from so-charming : |
Yes, my Prince is none other than sean1129. He fell upon some perilous times in his career and has not spent any time on D-Land in some time. Thus, I am the sole beneficiary of all his political rantings, except when I get tired of listening and then he just yells at the radio. He still holds you in high regard... after we saw F-911, he kept checking to see if you'd posted any thoughts about it. I'm sure he'll be pleased that you remember him. :) |

Thanks for the heads up about my comments. I swore I updated my super membership, but just realized I hadn't. They should be working soon. And as for the sex thing, he has been doing this off and on for a while now... one day he "understands" the next he's SO depreived. Makes me nuts. I hope your doing good! Take care & Keep in touch! |

My husband never finished his degree either...although most people think he has. About 25 years ago, he got in with a company who had a good apprentice program and he learned from folks that were going to retire soon...ah! The good old days! He is a chemist with a big company now. I asked him if he wanted to finish his degree (he's about half done) and he said no. I would like him to, but I cannot force him to. Pity, as his company would pay for it. |

from spencersmom : |
Actually, I think having children ages you more than marriage. My husband just turned 50, but everyone thinks he is my age (39). He always looked younger for his age and I always looked my age. He *did* gain weight after marriage (not that it matters as he is still a rail), but I didn't. I gained weight after quitting smoking (about 50 pounds...ouch!). |

The problematic thing about heaven and hell is that even if you're bad, all you've got to do is ask to be forgiven, and you get infinite numbers of Get Out of Hell Free cards... And in terms of animal cruelty, I once knew a guy who had sex with a cat in return for a pack of cigarettes. I have a hard time picturing it, but witnesses swear it happened. |

Re: your note re: receptionists. That's dead on! At my former job (I was an office assistant), I took care of all the paper work and testing of people who wanted a job. My boss would always ask me afterward, "So what did you think of that person?" He knew that if they treated *me* with disrespect, then they wouldn't be worth hiring. It's different here, though. Too many clients that need their ass kissed. :-/ |

Baby!! Thanks bunches and bunches for the note, and terrific URL! Good think you warned me away from the Naval Dagger - that's EXACTLY what I would have gona ahead and ordered if left on my own. Dammit...are you *sure* it wouldn't be appropriate? *sigh* You broads are so funny about stuff like that. Oh well. Anyway, the site gave me some terrific ideas. I can't order off the web, since the gift has to be in my grubby hands by Wednesday morning (if I want her to put out, anyway) so I've gotta hit the mall on my way home from work tomorrow. But like I said, that site gave me a terrific starting point. Thanks so much!! |

Just a note, to say thank you for your support about the deer! I felt as bad, believe me. My mom called me just this morning, greeting me with: "Hellooooo, Bambi Killer!" Nice. The worst part?? Making direct eye contact with the poor animal in the instant before impact. I got the eerie feeling that my soul and that deer's soul somehow connected in that moment, and now we'll remain somehow 'attached'. Strange. |

Thanks fo rthe sweet birthday wish, it's good to be back. I lovced the pictures of your birds! And that South Park episode made me laugh too. When I was in NC last week, I wanted to scream it from the dunes sometimes when trying to converse with 'the help' who tended to have strong accents and became annoyed and frustrated when I couldn't understand them. |

I don't listen to bands anymore. Not girl singers, not guy singers, just the forever ones. Gary Numan, Ultravox, Depeche Mode, Moby, anything Techno. Ultravox... so undated, 1977 and they have such a great fan base in 2004. A Great fine wine these guys are. The music gets better with age. Gary Numan has his own world, which I love to visit. Depeche Mode for the darker sexual things. There are others. Sparks, O.M.D., the list goes on. But not today unless it's Techno. Bye for now! [email protected] www.djkali.bravehost.com |

thanks pandi :)... the birdie on the page is one of two that we had when I was a teenager... I loved that bird, we got on so well. During a homecoming ruckus on xmas even in my last year of high school he flew outside and we never found him. :( xmas eve!! I was devastated. My dad and I searched the hills and valleys around our house but never found him. I like to believe (and still do) that he had a great second life in the wild. Met up with another escaped budgie and flew back to their native land to live out their days. :) |

Ooh, I just thought of another one! It's ELO's (I think) "Evil Woman." Since the first time I heard that song, I still think they're saying "Medieval woman." Cuz there's that extra syllable there. Med-ieval woman. It just came on and I still sing it that way. |

from neko-carre : |
Can I just say... I ADORE you!! |
from spencersmom : |
OoooooooooooooEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! What an entry!!! And one that tells such truth as well. I don't want kids for that reason either. I, too, was raised the "old-fashioned" way. All adults were "Mr." and "Mrs." To this day, I will still call my friend's parents "Mr." and "Mrs." unless I'm told otherwise (then it feels just plain weird). There should be a healthy separation between kids and adults...unfortunately today, that line is becoming more smudged. I was never asked what I wanted to eat for a meal either. There was always enough on the table from which to choose, and my mother was *not* going to make something special (unless, of course, I was ill). My mother cooked dinner for the family, she didn't run a restaurant. Browneye and I say we are both too old fashioned to raise kids today. Respect is a dying thing. |
from spencersmom : |
Hey...at least she wore a thong...we had one in the office who wore an "ohmygoddon'tbendover" skirt and nothing underneath. The men in the office kept dropping change around her so they could get a looksee. |
from neko-carre : |
I wrote about that exact same thing in this entry: http://neko-carre.diaryland.com/catlick.html (mid-way down the page). No one EVER said anything to her and that girl was one of the lay-offs. Coincidence? If so, that was very wrong of the Bosses to have never said anything to her so that she could fix it. Yes, very bad form. |
from neko-carre : |

true pandi, and trust me, being an insider, i go bonkers when people drop the ball on caring for the animals. it happens, not surprisingly, there are balldroppers in every aspect of society and the workplace, and science is no different. i'm really wary of that whole cosmetics thing. the bottom line (as i see it) is that most of the groundwork is done, so the products with the 'not tested in animals' stamp still benefit from past research and there is a pesky (potential) problem with outsourcing that type of research so the manufacturer can freely and truly put that label and still benefit from outside sources of information gleaned from animal research. ultimately, i think this is much like the other things i spout about constantly... impossible standards for humans... the fantasy world that doesn't exist and the big need to get a giant head-from-ass extractor made and pass it around the world. :) ultimately, truth be told, i care more about my lab rats than i do about most humans! a big part of my animosity toward the anti camp is the ignorant assumption that i can't do what i do and love animals or that my work isn't important no matter how far it is from fruition or that there are alternatives that i'm ignoring. a big kicker for me with regard to these boneheads is when they showed up at a local school in montreal handing out fliers to little kids telling them by drinking milk they were torturing cows. little kids!! disgusting. a rational objection, like your own, i can handle, these guys... i just get as emotional as them and there is no sensible discourse. sad, but i'm working on it. ANYHOO... i'm rambling. thanks for your thoughts! :) |
from spencersmom : |

from ikss : |
Well...truth be told, I have mixed feelings about whether or not Rummy should resign/be fired. It doesn't matter anyway, because neither is going to happen. My main point in putting that up on my web page, though, is just to keep people talking about the issue. I especially liked what I posted today (from the DNC), because it also reminds us about other things/people Bush has not invesitgated thoroughly. None of this should go away quietly, at the very least. |
from neko-carre : |
Yeah, like that stupid show VH1 was going to put on, featuring certain soldiers and what music they listen to, or whatever the fuck it was about. I just remember the commercial - a girl saying, "I didn't join the military expecting to go to war." Well, DUH, you moron! What, exactly, DID you expect when joining the military? I was so pissed about that show, which I felt had no business being on a music entertainment channel, that I wrote VH1 a letter. Not sure if the show was ever aired or not - I stopped watching VH1 shortly afterward when it turned into MTV (aka, "Maybe Two Videos"). |

Eep. Yeah, we couldn't wait to give Pet*ri back after his visit last year. I'd forgotten about the constant attention needed part. Hrm. Not sure I'm ready for that. Anyway, I know you like it quiet, but have you considered putting on a walkman or something with headphones so you don't hear them? |
from captvfirefly : |
5/5 - Of course I don't hate you! Not one tiny little bit! I agree with you - there IS a pattern (much to my dismay), and it's something I'm going to change the next time around. I know how to say, "No" when it comes to sex, but what I don't understand is why everyone seems to be so damn ready for sex so soon when light making out should be OK in the first few weeks? Why does it always end up in the bedroom? Ok, so maybe it's because I LET it end up there, but really, the only guy who never did anything creepy was TheCop - everyone else has groped and weasled their way into the bedroom (at least I always asked medical/"Have you been tested/When?" questions first) very quickly. So no, you're absolutely right - things need to slow way down with the next person - if there IS a next person. I'm serious when I say that I'm taking a break. I don't know how long the break will last, but I'm not looking for anything again anytime soon. Also, if I'm going to stick to my "no internet men" policy, it's probably going to be a while before I figure out where to meet men in real life. LOL But anyway, I'm rambling. Just wanted you to know that I don't hate you at all (you speak the truth, and I'm not afraid of the truth)! XOXO - Lauren |

Anyway... last night I had a dream that Pet*ri was in the car while Dave & I went into the store and when we came back, some big asshole seagulls had opened the car door and were attacking poor Pete! They had him pegged to the ground and they were pecking him. I rushed over there and he was alive, but barely. It was such a disturbing dream and I feel like crying! Sob!
