Can I just sit back and say woah. You are truly amazing. I only read back to your entry on our awful school systems and I am shocked. It is wonderful to find a diary with someone smart enough to have these opinions, and I am happy that I am lucky enough to have found it. You noticed something similar. I keep finding that during warm summer nights in Lexington, that the sky carries a deep purple tone instead of its clear black. All that pollution and iridescence in the air -- I didn't like it the first time it stuck out. Seemed threatening. Now, I don't know... it's not like home, where skies stay dark and clear. I'm used to it, the purple funk.

I've got a better observation: When you're driving really, really late at night -- almost to the point of zombiedom -- and you only recognize civilization because of the way the close packing of traffic lights creates a funky burnt yellow smog haze in the sky.
