from hun-e-b :
The Duke maintained that lots of things generally attributed to fairies are actually the work of elves. What fairies do is turn things PINK. Consequently, the vision of a small Wendy as the pink fairy would have made his day. Or week. Or year.
from luciab :
See if there's a Ten Thousand Villages store anywhere near you--- they ususally have nativity ornaments.
from padraiga :
I think the persimmons are ripe now...
from roland :
Or perhaps he just realizes how cool Tigger is.....8)
from roland :
SMOOCH!
from giuliana :
I miss you. Really want to spend some quality time with the Wendy - soon. Hugs!
from luciab :
Yes! Come to LJ! Pleeeeze?
from roland :
Discovered Vikings? 8)
from terrshee :
Try to get to the Bargello again; much will be better because of it.
from knitgeek :
You were much missed, as well. The skit sounds incredibly funny. But I still don't understand why all your best stories include animals.
from howlindoggie :
I am so sorry for your loss. Kaolin
from courtney-d-h :
No one should have to go through the sorrow you two are feeling right now... I am so so sorry for your loss. *hug*
from celynen :
My condolences! I know how incredibly tough it is to lose a pet and companion. I'm sure you and Roland will keep each other strong through it though. Hugs to you both.
from maggies :
Oh Theo, I'm so sorry. I know that you must be devastated, and I wish that I could give better words of comfort. The ache of your loss will stay with you for a long time, but so will the joy of having had such a wonderful friend in your life. How much richer your life has been as a result of having known him, and how blessed.
from syrfinn :
:( Sorry to hear the little trouble maker has moved on. He was a cute little guy, but glad he was with you for so long. Big Hug Finn
from geniealisa :
I'm so sorry for your loss. He sounds like a fine cat, indeed. Many hugs to you and Roland.
from knitgeek :
I'm so sorry, Theo. YOu have my deepest condolences.
from debsiobhan :
Such an excellent tribute. I'm so very sorry for your loss.
from luciab :
Theo, I am so sorry for your loss. I still miss my Niccolo, who died over a year and a half ago. It's wonderful that you could share your life with such a fantastic companion but damn, it sure makes it hard when they have to go. Hugs.
from terrshee :
A virus, I think. It is always a great sadness when a beloved kitty is sick. You can be grateful for the time you had, but it is always hard to let go.
from educaitlin :
I fear you, Green Leader! But I love you, too. You're awful cute for such a scary lady.
from halowenslut :
A. Control freaks
from halowenslut :
You should most certainly give them towels. Then you can give them towel origami books. Think of what fun that could be.
from terrshee :
And I've been told my taste in must is esoteric. You win.
from halowenslut :
I think you are fantastic. Just thought you should know. Have a good day!
from plopphizz :
Congrats, you have been Quoted: http://quoted.diaryland.com/mentioned.html. Thanks for the great writing. -- Ploppy.
from courtney-d-h :
Just read your message from Sword, Buckler and Powerpoint (Oct 23), and it had me laughing. I even sent the link to Connor and said "this could be US"! While I am sure I will get puppy dog eyes now about going to the next "annual" conference, I enjoyed your descriptions and think Connor would have really loved it too. I love your dry wit writing style as well... thanks!
from hun-e-b :
As long as you were at AIC, did you take the opportunity to pay your respects to American Gothic? I never really thought that much of the painting when I'd only seen reproductions, but I have a much better appreciation for it since I saw it in the flesh (as it were).
from hun-e-b :
We missed you last night. Hope everything's OK! Shall we simply schedule Shire meetings for Whenever-Theo-Can-Come?
from elsworthy :
You're welcome. Which was the alien torture device? The one with the grabby hook? There'll be more odd stuff given out at the party. If you're nice to me, I'll let you have the little alien in the glass bottle that dances when you press a button.
from halowenslut :
grapples are rather yummy if a little expensive. And, no stickers. Worth the extra chanege? Quite possibly.
from supfiggy :
Theo please call me or email me at the office [email protected] . Thanks em
from knitgeek :
I'd settle for blowing up test units. That sounds wonderfully cathartic.
from idonealuv :
Dang, someone beat me to it. John Galt's speech in my copy of 'Atlas Shrugged' is 26 pages long. Dagny Taggert was one of my earliest female role models...
from ysbryd :
Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged. Great book, everyone should read it.
from halowenslut :
no clue. sorry hun.
from dreadbaron :
The name rings a bell, but a very small and tinny bell, as if I should know it, but can't noodle it out.
from hun-e-b :
I was just hit by a tsunami of "Oh, I can't wait to eavesdrop on the conversation between the Theo and the Duke about this one . . . oh, wait." He would have loved that conversation.
from halowenslut :
Maybe you could attach one of those clapper keychain things they make for keys to the lazer pointer. Laugh. Just got the mental picture of a bunch of people clapping together trying to find the lazer pointer.
from wnoah :
I'm new so go figger lil lady You seem so stressed. Sounds like you need good hot Bubble bath and a choclate coke.
from hun-e-b :
I feel your pain.
from havorc :
I thought I was fairly intelligent. I even went through physics at college. I feel dumber after reading your diaryland. :( Oh well, at least someone understands fluid dynamics...
from elsworthy :
Roses will bloom exatly as long as they feel like - including through December, if they think it's a good idea. Do not question - just enjoy the pretty flowers. :)
from roland :
Smooches!!!
from roland :
Smooches!!!
from knitgeek :
As someone who can only be called spectator sports retarded (I once asked what game was played at Wrigley Field), I highly recommend Ken Burns' "Baseball" series. Though he didn't interest me in watching baseball, I better understand why other people love it so much. And as far as baseball movies go, my favorite is John Sayles "Eight Men Out," about the Chicago White Sox .
from halowenslut :
Soo...where does the expression riding the rail come from? You're the one who left that door open......:)
from gormofberra :
There was supposed to be a break between game 5 and 6. But because there was a rainout in Boston, everything got pushed back a day.
from ladygisele :
I guess I'm a redneck then - you can't castrate a cow.
from debsiobhan :
Beer & Brownies - only one reason that you, dear Theo, are most definitely incredible!
from educaitlin :
Arty-Joe is a minister? What flavor? I think I'm in shock!
from elsworthy :
I believe "Church on FIRE" is the same church that burned down a few years ago over an Ymir weekend. On the way down, it was fine. On the way home, we passed a smoking, ruined mess, with people standing around it. The next year, COF appeared on the opposite side of the road. Coincidence? Heh.
from brynpobydd :
Please tell poor Roland that Herman will take 30 years to grow 2 feet. He will never get big enough to topple your foundation, I promise. Come to Buckston Collegium in July to see Chow's Japanese Garden in a truck bed, and take his class on Japanese Gardening.
from educaitlin :
Theo with a drill? I'd be a-skeered!
from genvieve :
You're not alone. Alan was poking fun at my gleeful face while I was making our escape from Blowing Rock that morning. Even got a lovely foggy drive on the Blue Ridge Pkwy just for fun.
from supfiggy :
So is it true that NASA sent out a memo saying no one at NASA is allowed to talk about global warming in light of the movie THE DAY AFTER TOMORROW?
from nitenar :
please feel better by this weekend..I can't wait to hang out.
from nitenar :
Love the theo..
from kyneburh :
big bird goodness~~~ tee hee.
from alisandra :
GEEK!
from halowenslut :
Doesn't work so well with my two cats. They can't keep track of the light. One big feather on the end of a stick, now that's entertainment.
from blackbear :
hmmm...flashlight+casey=pissed owner cleaning up a puddle of dog pee...sigh.
from kyneburh :
"RED BUG!!! Must chase the red bug. Get the red bug ... eat the red bu - wait a minute there is no red bug. Evil humans ... RED BUG!!!! Mmm, kitten treats." - Dubis.
from thornbury :
Allow me to counter with the commutative Regan + Flashlight. Similarly entertaining. :-)
