I'm sorry that you've gone through so much with your mom. I've only dealt with a tiny fraction of it and I know how much it hurts. There's just something about 'Mom' that makes it hard to accept that you need to move on. The good thing is that you have a wondeful husband and three beautiful boys!

That's wonderful! Do you know if they are identical or fraternal? I'm so happy for you, and i will continue to send my prayers your way. As for your comment, all i can say is that I loved having mine that far apart - there was no sibling rivalry - especially since we included him thew whole time and made it as much about him becoming a big brother as us new parents. With two coming, you may have to put a little extra into that. When she was born, it was wonderful, of course, but the best moment of all came when he walked in and saw her for the first time. I'll never forget the look on his face or how happy a family we were at that moment. I wish the same for you.

I'm glad the chiro stuff is helping. I know how awful migraines can be - I get chronic headaches 9not migraines, thank god), but my husband, grandma and good friend all suffer from them. Anyway, I worked on a study for a class in grad school that was about feverfew for preventing migraines. I don't know if you have ever tried it, but if not - it's an herbal treatment and you take it daily. Studies have shown mild to moderate prevention (with very few side effect risks), so you never know - it could help.

I feel your pain. I (and mr b and the boy) had to move in with my parents a few years back and I thought it would kill me. I can also understand the other stuff - I have written a few entires on my mom's behavior and it's hard to deal with that stuff sometimes.

rug stains - my nemesis. My kids are constantly spilling, no matter how spillproof the cup/bottle may be. I use OXY carpet & upholstery cleaner - it takes out just about anything (let it sit for a while)

I used to be like that with the hair growing back so soon, but I started exfoliating regularly and that helps you get an even closer shave because you're losing those layers of dead dry skin. Now I can go two days. Which is better than EVERY day.

After reading your entry about your mom, and thinking about a few of Missy's entries about her mom, I am very thankful that my mom is here, and whole, and healthy. We may have our issues but i wouldn't trade her for anything. I plan on genuinely enjoying her company for as long as she wants to stay. We really do have a good relationship. My only fear is that we share all the same sorrows and tend to feed off each other's depressive tendencies. I will just have to keep an eye on that. Thanks again.

Hey, thanks for the advice. Someone else suggested the trial runs too, and also a babysitting class, just for info on what to do in an emergency. Wonderful ideas. I have never really left the girls alone except to run to the gas station. I definitely would not leave the two of them alone together for any length of time because they would probably kill each other and destroy my house. Tracy does know why I am so fearful but insists that all her friends the same age as her stay at home alone all the time. (I think that is a problem. No child should be alone all the time, at home or otherwise.)She is a pretty responsible kid who generally follows the rules so I think we are going to start a few short(read:very, very short!)trial runs over the next few weeks and see how it goes. Thanks again for all your advice and enjoy that little boy while he is so young. They grow up way too fast!

I only know her through email and this site, but she is a source of tremendous support for me and always seems to know exactly what to say. Treasure your friendship with her. I can't imagine my life without her, but right now she is spending a lot of time away because her parents are in bad health and live out of state. I really miss her. Your little boy is adorable. I am so sorry Lisa. The past 4 days have been exhausting for me. Besides having 4 adults in my house, we have 4 children also. I have spent almost every waking moment on the phone with relatives, besides being busy with the wake and the funeral. I haven't cried that much since my aunt died. I still need you. Right now it's just a difficult time for me. At the last minute I needed a pallbearer so I asked Willie. That's what they did for me. They havn't been over at my house a lot. That was it. They did clean my house Sunday night because I spent that night on the phone too. I don't want you to feel left out. I thought about calling you but never had time to do anything like take a shower or pee. I was just really exhausted. And having to come back to work today sucks. Jackie is not going with my mom this weekend, but maybe you can come over Saturday night and go out to dinner with me and my cousin and my sister. I'd like that.
