| i totally agree with all of your worries. just like you, i am in credit card debt. the ambarrassing part is that i, too, knew exactly what i was getting myself into with APR and everything. still it was just too easy. and even now when i finish paying my bills once a year, they go back up not 6 months later! i wonder if i will be prepared for the world. i wonder wha i will do without my loan disbursement checks. the fact is, though, that it is my respinsibility simply to BE SMART. if no one is going to teach us how to balance our budgets or how much to leave as a tip, we must go out and find out ourselves. with the internet it's easy as hell to find out how to do just about anything. so we need to just do it. plus, financially, we will be working full-time, so my hope is that every week a check will come in, a decent-sixed one, and we won't need the disbursement checks from school. xo. |

| I think you are being sensible in considering all the issues with your tricky situation. One thing is for sure, he has to keep himself out of trouble. You can't do it for him anyway long distance or local. Moving out there doesn't mean that things will work out and you could be stranded in Ohio - of all places! Ohio has its merits too though. | It's time for you to stand up to her. Tell her you're unable to help her because you have financial obligations of your own that need to be taken care of. You've helped her a lot throughout the past year and it's time for you to focus on yourself. I'm sure if she tries to work out a payment plan with the mechanic he'll be willing to work with her, he wants his money and is willing to take her to court which will inturn cost more, so I'm sure he'll work with her. Whatever you do dont charge your credit card back up for her because something may come up and you'll need that for an emergency and you won't have enough to cover your hard times and your mom wont be able to help you. |

| You might want to check out Christian Children's Fund too. We did that for years and it was very rewarding. Also, you get letters for the kids which is nice. I think CCF has a good record on the amount of $ that goes to the program versus fundraising too. http://www.give.org/index.asp is a good site to visit to check out charities by the way. Hugs. :) |

I couldn't and wouldn't see that he was just using me because he had no credit, no job, and a teen-aged daughter to support. He spent all his time hiding out from creditors, the IRS, etc. Always, he'd say to get any pre-approved cards, and he'd pay the balances at the end of the month! HA! With what?! Who paid them????! Me, of course. Then, he had the nerve to have been stealing from me all along as well! I really know how to pick 'em. I'm going to write a private entry soon about "the creature". | Girl dont worry about it. You know God will take care of it. As far as them sending it to collections....well, they cant. As long as you pay something on it no matter how late it is they cant do that because you're paying, they can only send accounts to collections that aren't being paid for at all. They might however, send it to their collection department. The only thing they can do regarding your credit is mark that the amount due wasn't paid but they'll put what you did pay. |

| I want to see "the passion of Christ" too! I've heard a lot about it and I think there are 2 reasons they call it "controversial". 1. It is very graphic. Some people might find this hard to deal with, but I think we, as Christians, need to "experience" what Christ went through, even if it means watching it on the big screen. 2. Some people are afraid it will promote anti-semitism. But for those of us who are Christians, and even non-Christians who are well-educated, "we" are not going to 'blame' the Jews for crucifying Christ. It was all part of God's plan. | Hi - What I usually do to change the size of a photo is put it into some kind of photo editor and alter it that way. Even the software you have for your digital camera should have something to change the size of the image - hopefully anyway. You should consider a fotolog since you are snapping away. |
