Little Girl Lost

Hi, I'm Khaki! I'm 28, live in Utah, and write X-Men: The Movie Fan Fiction with a Logan/Rogue emphasis. Since some of my favorite fanfic writers seem to be having a lot of fun with this diary stuff, I thought I'd check it out myself.

My favorite movies:

X-Men
comments: The metaphor of mutants being outcasts from society as well as the portrayal of that metaphor by Logan and Rogue, clicked with me in a way that few other movies or television shows have. I was even compelled to sit down for the first time and write fan f
Die Hard
comments: My absolute favorite action movie. The main character suffers so much for every victory, but in the end, he survives and wins.
Sense and Sensibility
comments: Everytime I watch this movie, I choke up at the end. I empathize with the fatherless Dashwood girls as well as Edward and the Colonel. Well, especially the Colonel, but Alan Rickman's great in just about everything he does.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
comments: Perfectly silly but immanently rewatchable, the Holy Grail has added all sorts of new phrases to my vocabulary.

My favorite authors:

C.S. Forrester
comments: Author of the Horatio Hornblower series. These fantastic, adventure stories chronicle one man's progression from Midshipman to Admiral in Her Majesty's Royal Navy during the Napoleonic wars.
Alistair MacLean
comments: As my city library lists them, he is the author of Men's Adventure stories; however, anyone can enjoy these gripping tales of espionage and adventure. In fact, my absolute favorite action/adventure novel is Ice Station Zebra.
Sue Grafton
comments: Her alphabet murder mystery series got me hooked on the mystery genre. I eagerly await each installment of Kinsey Milhone's adventures.
Dean Koontz
comments: I adore about half of Koontz's novels, the ones where the villian is closer to a human being rather than a mystical creature. With a fascinating take on time travel and a tough, yet human female heroine, Lightening is my favorite of his novels.
David Weber
comments: I've just discovered this author, and am already deeply engrossed in the Honor Harrington series. It reminds me of all the reasons why I love the Hornblower series mixed in with all the reasons why I love science fiction.

update April 6, 2020: Sorry, we just had 8+ hours downtime due to a server problem. Restoring from backups took soooo long, but everything is back and no data was lost. Ay yay yay! Anyhow, hope everyone is well with the virus stuff.
