'Tis strange - but true; for truth is always strange. Stranger than fiction.

Lord Byron

I never travel without my diary. One should always have something sensational to read in the train.

Oscar Wilde

raven72d profile - diary
comments: We have quite a few things in common: moleskin notebooks, Linus as a role model and litte red-haired girls

My favorite music:

Massive Attack
comments: Do I need to say more? Ok, they're not the latest craze, but they're some of my all-time-favourites for almost any mood
Bluezeum
comments: "Portrait of a groove" is just unbelievably cool, smooth Jazzzzz
Fiona Apple
comments: "Tidal" - so young and already so ... old and wizened
St. Germaine
comments: gimme more of that relaxed, flowing, grooving modern french Jazz ... yeah
Robert Kreis
comments: I just love his swinging 30's music - check it out: http://www.robert-kreis.de

My favorite movies:

Gosford Park
comments: A Scottish Castle in 1932, snobbish people in decadent dresses and valets in despair - sex, intrigue and murder. What else could you ask for?
Four Rooms
comments: Wonderful Tarantino-Madness

My favorite authors:

Gottfried Benn
comments: one of the greatest German lyricists - I never travel without my favourite poems, he just understands how I feel when the blues hits
Kafka
comments: Real food for thought. Disturbing, depressing, yes, but you won't put it down
David Sedaris
comments: Cheers me up on any given day, his family is even more chaotic than mine
Patricia Cornwell
comments: Her bleak and gripping crime stories just take me out of my reality better than anything else
The New Yorker
comments: I know, it's a magazine and not a book, but some of the greatest American Writers have published excellent stories in there. I just wish it weren't so expensive over here.
