I tried to leave a comment but I don't think your comments are working. I am so glad you are back! I've looked at your name on my buddy list and just could not bear to delete you. I knew you'd be back someday. Glad to hear the weight loss is going well again, it's hard to get back into a groove. You've been through so much emotionally, it must feel good to be getting back on track. |

However, I wanted you to know that I've been thinking of you and hoping for the best for you. I'm hoping that once things settle down for you that you'll be back to updating. I sure do miss you & your entries!!! Here is a HUGE hug from me to you: (((((((AMY))))))) |

Amy- I just wanted to let you know that I'm thinking about you and praying for you every single day. You have been a source of inspiration to so many of us...through both your dieting and mothering successes. I totally understand why you have locked your diary but if you decide to share the password please let me know. Either way I will continue to think positive thoughts for you and your family. God Bless, Elisha ([email protected]) |

Dear Amy, I have also been reading you from the beginning of your diary. I have read every entry and feel as if we are friends. I have only left a message or two in all this time, but you have inspired me so in my own weight loss. I have admired your motherhood and your strength. I know this strength will get you through. I am praying for you and think about you everyday. I was so worried when we heard nothing from you for so long. I was imagining the worst...an addident or something. Even though your situation breaks my heart , I was so relieved to hear you are ok. I have also been praying for the health of your little girl. I can so identify with you. I also have a child with a chronic illness. My son was diagnosed with diabetes at age three and it is so hard. I feel like We are living paralel lives, only I am about ten years ahead of you. My daughter and son and 12 and 9 and I am 41. I would like to give you my email. I know you are going through termoil and heartbreak. I am aching for you. Please know that my arms around you and I want to help or comfort you in some way. Amy from Texas [email protected] |

I check on your diary daily because your weightloss success has given me so much inspiration, but you have locked it, which I can understand. You have been through so much and you are so brave! I hope to be able to check on you soon....lots of good vibes coming your way...Kris |
from tsprout : |
Hi there- I wanted to check on you, but it looks like you've passworded your blog. Understandable considering all that's going on. If you unlock your journal, I'd love to hear about it. I find your hardwork and honesty regarding your weight loss tremendously inspiring. Because of that, I know that you will come out okay now, too. It's just going to take some time. I wish you strength and luck! *hugs for you and the kids* Thea |

Hey there, just leaving you a note to say hi and I think your diary is a great read :) and I have added you to my list of favs. |
from angryquail : |
Your daughter is adorable, and she looks just like you! What beautiful eyes! |
from angryquail : |
CONGRATULATIONS! How lucky you were to get pregnant right away! I'm sure that throughout your pregnancy you'll be able to compare favorably to how your last one felt...what a boost! |
from tarkarpi : |
Congratulations! The feeling you must be having right now is hard to describe but something one remembers for the rest of her life (says me being a mother of three children and still remembering that first moment of pregnancy). I've been reading your diary lately and it's great! |
from krugerpak007 : |
You are such an inspiration. You are beautiful! Take care and I will be reading your diary.... :-) Kathy |
from angryquail : |
Yesterday I was thinking about your diary (for no particular reason) and I remembered that you said your birth control ran out this month, and that you might try to conceive. I come online today and find you have written about it! Best of luck to you and your family. |
from brendakay : |
I don't ever read these (I do write in my own but never read) but today I have been lazy while my daughter is napping and found your journal and I'm so glad! I am a 26 year old stay at home mom, down about 60 lb so far and have been stumbling lately (30+ to go) and I just read through lots of your entries and they really motivated me. You are inspiration! GREAT JOB! |
from cmsteph : |
hey amy, just started reading your diary (from a link from another person's blog). I'm in MD too (thought you might be when I saw the entry about Superfresh!) you're doing an awesome job! the picture you took for father's day is awesome!!! |
from aliwishus : |
hi amy. i'd like to email you, but the links on your page don't work anymore. would you mind posting your address in one of your entries? thanks. take care. |
from angryquail : |
P.S. I forgot to mention I'm adding you to my favorites. I always press 'done' before I'm done. |
from angryquail : |
I love your diary! I read all the way back to March 2003. I think you are actually smaller than I am, and I'm average weight (19 years old, somewhere between 150 and 160 pounds). My scale says I'm 160 lbs but my brother says it's six pounds too heavy. I'm trying to lose weight this summer because I've gained another ten pounds. This happens every couple of years...I'll be the same weight and then I'll gain ten pounds in a couple of months. I'm trying to eat less and exercise more but I want to make it happen somewhat quickly. If you have any tips feel free to drop me a note, and if not, sorry for my babbling! |
from cuzimreal : |
hey! congratz on losing all that weight and good luck losing the next 20 lbs! geez that must be hard!! God Bless You! |
from adalmina : |
Well now I looked at the source of your site and there are some mistakes on those links. There should be "-marks. I mean, when you have <a href=http://amylyn10.tripod.com/weightloss/> you should change it to: <a href="http://amylyn10.tripod.com/weightloss/"> And <a href=index.html> should be: <a href="/index.html"> and <a href=older.html> should be: <a href="/older.html"> You can make the changes to these links on page 'Change your template' :-) |
from adalmina : |
Hi Amy! I love to read your diary. But since your changed the look (which is very nice indeed with the cute penguin) I haven't been able to click any of your links on the top of the site, the links are not working for me. I wonder if the others have got this problem. I'm using IE. |
from aboutmarysww : |
For some reason I'm having trouble signing the guestbook. Anyway - I just wanted to wish you luck again :) |
from enchancea : |
ok I cant help myself, forgive me. But I am totally against the atkins diet. I know ppl who have organ problems because of it. I am a carb addict too. So when doing this dont cut to much because in the end it will end up hurting you and of course you will gain the weight back. This type of thing is discussed all the time at the M&F board and the fitness magazine I read (Oxygen and M&F Hers) and Ive read nothing good about it. Im not gonna judge you or tell you not Im just telling you to be careful and asking you not to cut the carbs to much. |
from projectme : |
Amy, you shouldn't worry if other people will judge you over the Atkins thing. Sure, it wouldn't be my top choice, but that's just me. You've got to do what feels right for you! I will support you either way. :) The only warning I would give you is if you decide not to continue on the Atkins path, some of the weight you lose doing it may come back on - and rather quickly. I had a few WW friends try Atkins to get off their plateaus, and it worked for a while....until they decided they wanted their extra carbs back. As soon as they went off the program, the weight flew back on. I just don't want you to get discouraged. Good luck though, and be sure and let us know how it goes! |
from aboutmarysww : |
Hey Amy. I tried the Atkins diet before and I never thought anything bad about it. I did the intial 2 week induction phase and it proved to be very worthwhile. I lost about 10 lbs. I couldn't continue on with it because like you, I was a carbs addict hehe. I missed my cereal in the mornings and my occasional desserts. I say each to their own. If you can handle missing out on carbs - go for it. :) I wish you the best of luck, because the first two weeks are not easy. Take care :) |

hey amy you forget to list bridget jones diary as one of your fave movies and i know it is one. also i have heard that you can air pop popcorn in the microwave in a brown paper bag although i have not tried. |
from sunstarr : |
the BEST popcorn is airpopped. Air poppers are only $15 at Wal-Mart or Target. Once popped, you can eat 3 CUPS of the stuff (for 1pt. if you were doing W.W. which I know that you're not, but to give you a comparison.)What I do for "butter" is using a pump sprayer, I spritz my airpopped popcorn with flax oil and then sprinkle it with salt. Sometimes I make a mixture of soy parmesean cheese (the kind that is powdery and you sprinkle on top of spaghetti), a dash or two of cayenne pepper, a bit of salt, pepper and then a kick of garlic powder. Mix it all up and put it on your popcorn. YUM! Of course, you may want to brush your teeth & gargle with Listerine afterwards if you plan to kiss your hubby! **wink, wink** I hope this suggestion helps! |

girl.......you look goood!!!!yes there is some difference since the last pic.you look GR8!!! |
from bytemee : |
I know what you mean.but truthfully what you weigh doesnt make you who you are inside.I had this friend totally dump on me saying my kids missed out on too much because I was fat but you know what?I have taken my kids to disney, sea world, the beach, florida every year, there are fat people at the beach.I wont let my weight keep me from allowing my kids to have fun.but at the same token its true that Im not happy with my weight, how could I be?I have diabetes and now possibly breast cancer, and thats why I continue to try and make myself healthier. |
from s-sbu2tun-ta : |
Thanks for leaving me a note. Hopefully this next week will be much better for both of us! I never did get to the gym today... I was feeling really lethargic... but after the terrible week that I had I know I'll be able to push myself once I get back into my school rutine! |
from bytemee : |
hey girl...I swear I love reading your diary it makes me feel so good..it just does.I look forward to checking in each day and following up with my own journal(which by the way you have to check it out today...exciting news) |
from s-sbu2tun-ta : |
Thanks for the info! I've been trying to stay away from things made with white flour anyway, so I guess I'm at least half-way there. My favorite thing is low-sugar whole grain eggos. I think they taste better than the origional ones! |
from s-sbu2tun-ta : |
Your new challenge sounds like it should have quite an effect! I don't think I could do all of that at once... my challenges are pretty basic. I've been wondering, what kinds of things count as refined carbs? |
from bytemee : |
peoples ignorance never ceases to amaze me!mindless, insensitive, classless jerks that couldnt find their asses with both hands.lol...sorry...I had to rant.ok I will try and eat a bit more. |

hey amy....about that spinich dip,,,how much is a serving???I wanted to plan it for a meal, like lunch with veggie chips! |
from s-sbu2tun-ta : |
You don't need to feel so bad about skipping a day! If I felt bad about every day that I skimped on working out, or ate more than what I intended to, I would probably be the most miserable person in the world! Take strength in knowing that tomorrow you'll be right back at it, still trying, never giving up. It's only when one day turns into a lifetime that it gets to be a problem. And you've been working so hard, and having so much success, that you deserve to lay off for a day! One tip: If you absolutely cannot go without exercise for one day, try ten minutes of yoga. The fluidity of moving from an upward-facing dog to downward-facing dog always makes me feel better. It makes you feel more flexible, and relaxes you at the same time. Another great pose is the tree pose! At any rate, you're doing great!! |
from bytemee : |
