from raven72d :
Beautiful Christmas Eve entry.
from notunique :
I thought of this for some reason. http://dilbert.com/dyn/str_strip/000000000/00000000/0000000/000000/20000/3000/600/23678/23678.strip.gif
from longitude :
funny reading your entry and being on the receiving end of a nostalgic email today. good luck with your job.
from boombasticat :
Grayness and cigarette smoke and cups of coffee. Very nice picture.
from theways :
loved the storm
from longitude :
i'm happy you're writing again
from jaysthoughts :
pillows*
from jaysthoughts :
Your stories are so personal and yet so universal..
from permeation :
I haven't been on here in a while - not properly. But tonight I was. And I only read you. I forgot how beautiful your poems & little lost stories were.
from adarkshadow :
I love your words.
from longitude :
present and good to see an update
from longitude :
how's arizona treating you?
from longitude :
hey washington.. where are you headed?
from boombasticat :
Well, jeez, you make me miss that place, too.
from axde :
beautiful creature.
from longitude :
dec24.09: So good to read and glad to see new photos. Hope you have a good holiday.
from boyecho :
it's as if you write here when it's absolutely necessary. no words, not even a breath, is wasted. never trivial. that's how it seems anyway.
from longitude :
I was listening to Max Richter the other night, during a drive. No need to thank me, but you're welcome and I hope this means you will share more with us.
from longitude :
I send my condolences.. your grandfather sounds like he was a great man.
from longitude :
03.02.09 } } this is beautiful imagery ivan.
from boyecho :
i never quite got on with spring. always disappointing as a snow-child. and disappointing still here down south. where cold weather is all too brief a respite...
from permeation :
ooooh, i can completely understand that. but, for this texan it's always such a novelty. however having said that, i am not looking forward to walking to work in it. x
from longitude :
That's beautiful Ivan. Hope you and Isabel are doing well..
from longitude :
Hello there.. how's life in Seattle?
from fuschiashock :
thank you.
from longitude :
09.29.08 / 10:31 pm >> That entry just punched me in the chest. You're great.
from longitude :
You have perfect timing. I needed music like this tonight.. I'm listening to Fur Alina now. This is going to sound so strange, but I feel like I am really connecting to this music which in turn makes me feel like I am connecting with you. A solo piano is so very very powerful.
from permeation :
man, tell me about it.
from rosytears :
I love the way you write, such beauty in those proses. Keep writing, because I'll be reading too.
from longitude :
I'll return. Maybe the end of summer is leaving me a bit more melancholy than I'd like..
from longitude :
When you have music to share, let me know. I would love to hear more of your work. And if you can't find that Richter album, I think I may still have a link for it somewhere. Let me know!
from longitude :
Summer has been good to me, but I am welcoming the trickle of autumn into my life. I'm listening to Richter's "24 Postcards in Full Colour" at the moment. Have you heard? How are your own music making endeavours going?? It takes the not so good moments in our lives to remind us that we are so fortunate when we do have it good.
from longitude :
How are you?
from longitude :
Your photos parallel your words with a gentle simplicity that I really enjoy. It's great to see new work from you.
from starproof90 :
i have some love for you, tucked inside somewhere i cant find.
from longitude :
What a great return - the words and images.
from boyecho :
i can't top what was said by the two below me now...but i'm sure you'll understand.
from permeation :
i love how rich and dark (light) your words are.
from longitude :
painting perfect pictures with your prose.
from starproof90 :
TWO F-ING WEEKS!!!!!!! YESSSSSSSSS.
from permeation :
i'll have to second what J (Longitude) said. there is something so revealing about a person through a self portrait, through a capture of their body and face, or even the smallest most obsolete part of their body - which is actually not obsolete at all. i wouldnt pin it to vanity, but to understanding and self discovery. also, nice 'understanding'.
from longitude :
just last night, i had a conversation with a friend who is a photographer about self-portraits and how i've become quite enthralled with them in the last couple of years. not only am i interested in the documentation of my face and body, but also of capturing the essence of a moment in which i feel completely vulnerable, yet strong in front of the camera. whomever shot this diptych of you is brilliant. it doesn't do any harm that your body is amazing as well.
from starproof90 :
hey, no. thats awesome. it will be interesting, though. ciaobello.
from starproof90 :
hes coming july 3rd and staying til the 6th. i have talked about you before. hahah youll meet him. we will see what happens.
from starproof90 :
hm. i wouldnt be unattracted you, necessarily. i dont know. dont take that seriously, though. : D
from starproof90 :
pretty damn excited! dont let me fall in love with you! haha.
from starproof90 :
i miss you, bear!
from longitude :
the two of you together = terribly cute! i'll check your music out in a little bit. thanks for sharing.
from longitude :
excellent photo. i'd like to see your girl's work if it's available online.
from boyecho :
night time has always felt... primal.. but i've never been eloquent enough to say just how....
from permeation :
today's mix partially inspired by you...(dirty three + low, wilco, american analog set, beirut..it's all there). http://adaysmix.muxtape.com/
from boyecho :
i want to meet that river..
from longitude :
Please let me know your email address.. I will send you a few of my favourite tracks.
from permeation :
those two photos are pretty great. they make me feel nostalgic for something i don't have a memory of. (to answer your earlier question, why, a boy of course.)
from longitude :
Have you heard Low's music? I was inspired to dig out their album, Long Division, and it's been killing me so so so good lately. I want to share that with you.
from longitude :
The font is actually from the credits of The Diving Bell and The Butterfly. Have you seen it? I rely on photos quite often.
from boyecho :
somehow, you found me. and i'm so happy that is so.
from longitude :
I fell asleep thinking about conversations we have in our sleep. I woke up trying to remember them, but I only could recall a font. Isn't that odd? Your photo made me want to touch your neck. [excuse me if I'm being blunt]
from permeation :
for me, 'home' is texas. however, now it's brighton (UK). 'home' is a difficult place...
from longitude :
I'm glad I came back to writing here and finding you (thanks to T [permeation]). Max Richter.. wow. I don't know many people who like his music let alone have even heard of him. How wonderful.
from longitude :
Is your Cannon Beach in OR? If yes, it's the same, but it's not mine. Memories work their way in, tangle themselves in my present state of mind and I'm wishing I was there again.
from longitude :
Your words are cartographic, mapping out routes to places I seek.
from permeation :
the latest..makes me miss the south more than i already do. fever dreams, the skin of the earth being warm from the heat of the sun..i am homesick.
from kailove :
your entries are amazing ♥
from myheavyheart :
'once to hear the birds, twice to love another, a third time to rewrite all those songs, and a fourth to watch waves break on the water.' o damn...
from raven72d :
Lovely, lovely writing.
from permeation :
stop that. (being so awe-inspiring & eloquent).
from the-brends :
and once again. i feel that. (29).
from permeation :
I can't even say accurately enough just how much I loved the entry from the 25th. Your words make me loathe my writers block all the more.
from molly1-2-3 :
I really enjoy your entries. They make me feel a bit nostalgic, almost sad. They make me want to know everything about you and nothing about you at the same time.
from raven72d :
Lovely entries.
from fuschiashock :
how are you?
from myheavyheart :
you're my new favorite. i love your entries, its so real, sometimes warm, yet always a little sad. i feel like can relate to the vagueness in some of your entries, i don't know why. your layout's beautiful, maybe i might borrow it. i hardly type so much for people's notes page, but your diary's gorgeous. keep writing, ok? love.
from pitter-pat :
been reading a bit, i like <3
from fuschiashock :
j. d. salinger. beautiful.
