Well, hello again! Nice to see you on Dland, if but for a brief moment. ;) I read your last blog (from 2 years ago) after reading your current one. So truthful after becoming a mom myself. :)
from sunnyrain828 :
I was wondering if you'd update your diary. :) Congratulations again! And sometimes it makes sense to marry people older than you. Stephen's 5 years older than me (not quite your 18 ;) ), and it's been perfect in so many ways.
from sunnyrain828 :
Ha! I remembered it--it's so simple. She hasn't written on D-land since 2006, but if you want it, I can send it to you.
from sunnyrain828 :
Do you remember the username for howgoesit's diary?
from seattle-rain :
Oooh, you're so right. Strawberry Swings is a great song that I wish more people appreciated. I could listen to that album every day for the rest of my life. Probably:)
from snoopy-9487 :
Hey, thanks for the note. I hope you have a great 2009. I only recently rediscovered my love for peanut butter and jelly. I love mixing grape jelly one day and strawberry the next. At least it keeps some variety. :) Cheers!
from snoopy-9487 :
Hey, glad to hear from you! Thanks for the good luck note concerning my GREs. I hope I knocked them out as well. :P Cheers!
from hamiltonian :
As always I have enjoyed your journal.
from myownjourney :
I meant to get back to you earlier but...well.. I didn't... anyway... this may sound weird, but I wish I could be your age again and that I had actually sought out trying to fulfill my potential instead of doing the things I did. I see in you so much courage and intelligence I can't even tell ya. You impress me greatly. Whatever it is you do with your life over say, the next 20 years, will be what you were suppose to be doing. And if I ever finish a book, I want you to edit it and tell me how much it sucks. :) Is it odd for a 30 something guy to admire a 20 something young lady? Probably, but there ya go. I'm a weird guy.
from pippinsgirl :
Thanks for the note...Glad someone understands. :) Thankfully I've gotten over my anger (for now) about the boy wanting to fix things. But I'm trying not to think too much about being in stressful situations...if it happens, it happens. And like everyone keeps telling me, I have to try my best not to take things too personally.
from theumbrella :
I locked up my diary. You can get my pw if you email me at cantaresempre at yahoo dot com or leave your e-mail and I'll send it to you:)
from sunnyrain828 :
I added this entry--"Grace"--to my favorites. I'm trying to realize that too. I grew up much the same way you did--sheltered, dividing the world into "us" and "them." I still haven't quite learned the lesson of grace, and it frustrates me sometimes when I think of people who do all the things I don't do getting into heaven too. In my better moments I am glad there will be lots of people in heaven I didn't fully expect to be there. In my worse moments, I wish God weren't so loving and accepting. It's a constant tug-of-war, but one that I think'll get easier with time.
from snoopy-9487 :
I know what you mean about the birthdays...it felt so strange yesterday, knowing it was my birthday but it feeling like any other day. Thanks for the note, the birthday wishes, and I hope your semester is off to great start as well. :)
from miedema2002 :
Happy belated b-day. Don't let your parents cutting back on finances get you down. My parents don't help at all with my schooling and it's always been that way and I'm making it through. At least yours help out some. Budgeting is key. Good luck.
from snoopy-9487 :
Ah, I'm so bad at remembering birthdays and it seems everything else this summer. So happy belated birthday and congrats on turning the big 2-1. I hope you have an excellent year. Happy belated birthday.
from sunnyrain828 :
I understand COMPLETELY! Ugh.
from sunnyrain828 :
Vitamin C!! Lots and lots of vitamin C. It kept me healthy all school year long, except for once during finals week (too much stress and not enough rest and I was down for the count, vitamin C or no). But seriously, vitamin C really helps. Just make sure you eat lots--my mom makes me eat 2000 mg when I'm sick. The chewable kind actually tastes kinda good. :)

When we started reading 'The Wasteland' last semester in British Lit, my professor put a quote up on the board from Eliot. "Immature poets immitate; mature poets steal; bad poets deface what they take; good poets make it into something better-- or at least different." -T.S. Eliot. It may not be the best quote but it is what I thought of reading your entry...about your favorite authors and stuff. For what its worth, I believe that writers do copy other writers' styles until they find their own. If you don't experiment, how else would you find your own stlye? Just my two cents. I hope you can find some sort of structure in life for the next few days. :)
from sunnyrain828 :
"I guess I just do better with coworkers and inanimate objects"--LOL!! That cracked me up! That's SO me, too. :D
from sunnyrain828 :
'K, I must've just scanned yours a few times. We have a lot of common acquaintances. I'm glad you like my testimony. :) It seems pretty ordinary to me sometimes... So it's always encouraging to hear that it touched, in some way, another person's life. :) When I become a famous author... LOL. No, I am planning on writing a book about my life to reach out to girls. But I don't plan on becoming famous. :) Anyway, I am rambling. Back to studying for finals!
from sunnyrain828 :
By the way (this is Stephanie from the Haloscan comments), if you want access to my diary, let me know. I think you used to read it... I think I used to read yours too. I'm gonna start reading it again 'cause you sound so much like me! Anyway, let me know, and I'll just e-mail you the username and password.

I am glad things are going so well for you!:)
from snoopy-9487 :
Thank you! It was actually a combination of two papers I had all ready written; it was a comparative analysis on romanticized realities within Anna Karenina and The Awakening. There was some confusion (as I understand) on which group to put me in (either Slavic or American Literature) which ultimately ended being American Lit. It is a pity that there aren't a lot of jobs involving literature other than teaching, hence the reason why I'm taking technical writing. Gotta make money somehow, right? Thanks for the note...I have a paper calling my name. Cheers.
from snoopy-9487 :
Hearing at what happened at Tech is tragic news. The shootings are very senseless yet frightening at the same time. I hope you get through the nor'easter all right. We had it yesterday with gusty winds left over for Monday. It rained a lot and it was cold. Thanks for the note. Cheers.
from snoopy-9487 :
I think why when we discussed post-modernism in class today appealed so much to me is because I felt so cynical. I've had a lot on my mind. Do I be miserable all year in my housing situation or do I make myself happy? A very difficult choice. I do agree with all this homework. It does seem like slavery sometimes, but as much as I complain, I love it because I love learning. Thanks for the well wishes concerning the living situation. I think I got everything settled out but you know uncertainty likes to rear its ugly head sometimes. Best you can do is take it as it comes I suppose. Or at least I am going to try. Thus, I am taking a break from Homework Hill but it is probably the only thing keeping me sane because it gives me something to do. Busy work is sometimes good. Right? Cheers and thanks for the note.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! The German chocolate cake was so good! :-) How are you doing? Is your Spring break soon? And I was thinking about this the other day...do you know how Dave and Eric are? (dreadedhick and Mr. Frodo) I miss reading their updates!

If I give up writing for fun, I would probably have withdrawal and die. It seems to be the only outlet one has for stress at times. Drama and insecurity are evil indeed and I need to remember to keep those things in check. Thanks for the note and sorry for responding to it so late. Cheers. :)
from snoopy-9487 :
Sorry for responding to the birthday wishes. Classes this week have been crazy and I worked my butt off leaving little time to take it easy. :) Thank you for the birthday wish and the good luck on the speech lucky thing. The speech went well:) I hope classes are going well for you. Cheers!
from snoopy-9487 :
Sorry for taking so long to respond. Life has been kind of hectic and stressful this past week. True about the warranty, but it still caused quite a headache. Thanks for the support when it comes to dealing with computers. They can be such a hassel some times. And thanks for wishing me getting my stuff together before heading back to school. :) - Kelly
from hamiltonian :
Thank you though fear and love are incompatible.
from pippinsgirl :
I went and saw Lady in the Water on the night it came out here. :) It is so different and unconventional--in my opinion, it had the most on-the-surface, obvious symbolism out of all his movies. And as usual, there's a faith theme. I'll have to see it another three times or so before I can say what half the metaphors are. I read something that said he submitted the idea to Disney, and they "didn't get it." All's well that ends well--I don't think it could have come together nearly so well under the Disney label.
from snoopy-9487 :
I know! I have somewhat of an idea of file types, of course, the internet helps too... I usually assoicate .xml files with servers and stuff. Yet congrats only finally regesitering for classes at USM. I hope you can eventually decide on a minor, even though creative writing really isn't redundant. My opinion. Yet of course, I am planning to declare this fall as a double major between English (with a writing conceration) and History because I decided I can't just minor with history because I love both subjects too much. Don't rush with deciding... if not you could always double minor. Anyways, cheers. :)
from araquen :
wasn't it great!? and i agree about the cliffhanger... i don't think i can wait until next summer!

I appreciate the sympathies! Normally I like Murray (and a lot of the other tennis players as well) but that goes out the window when they play Roddick! All credit to Murray, though, he played a fantastic match. I'm glad to hear that you are enjoying Wimbledon as well. Do you have a favorite on the women's side? I'm pulling for Mauresmo or Henin-Hardenne. We'll see what happens!

First of all, I somehow missed the entry about you and your relationship. Man, oh, man. I admire women like us. Not a lot of girls can say, "Hey! You are being dishonest! No more!" Protecting our standards is our number one priority. That's amazing. High five for that. And, it's so hard, I know. Let's go get some ice cream if I ever pop on over to that side of the universe okay?:) Oh heck yes it was a joke I played on her! One day she was eating watermelon and she started crying, claiming she was pregnant. It was hilarious! If you can't tease your siblings what else can you do with them?:) I definitely agree on the matter of Nessie and Big Foot. The highest sighting area in the US is where I used to live. It's amazing to see the evidence first hand. When it comes to the Loch Ness monster, agreed. People have seen the same thing several times. And why is it so unbelievable anyway? A big swimming animal. Really, it's not that hard to get in your brain. Wow- this is the longest note I've left in a long time. Can you get through it? Lol. Have an AWESOME day, Laura!:) -Beth

"A man goes to the doctor. Says he's depressed. He says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. The doctor says "The treatment is simple. The great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go and see him, that should pick you up." The man bursts into tears. He says "But doctor... I am Pagliacci."--Alan Moore

College students have the worst time management, in my opinion. I was suppossed to read a chapter of history and take notes. I haven't done that yet. I am suppossed to study for Biology. Haven't done that either. Research Anthropology? Kind of. Instead, I've been wandering around campus and playing video games all day. I'm going to a play tonight and I am going to try to do my homework, while watching a DVD. Great time management, huh? By the way... read Virginia Woolf's Orlando if you like her. Brillant book. Cheers. - Kelly

from snoopy-9487 :
What I have learned in College: by Kelly Combining sleep deprivation with massive amounts of caffiene is not a very healthy way to study for exams. If I get stuck in an elevator again, I will start to hyperventilate again and shout how much I have to pee. Don't say the "F-word aka fire alarm", if so, more than likely one will occur at two in the morning. Everything is very expensive, even student IDs! Roommates can either drive you mad or happy, depending on what kind of person you have. Cramming usually never works.

Thank you for the birthday wishes. Sorry I didn't say thank you earlier but college keeps me busy. So does havinig to deal with a roommate that you don't always get a long with. But again thank you! The lottery aspect was probably the only thing I could do this year about being 18. If I had turn 18 last year, I would have voted. But alas, it isn't always great about being born in 1987. At least I can vote this year in the governor's election for the commonwealth.

Yeah, Hershey's great. =] I finally got the time to think up your interview. 1. What's one of your best memories? 2. What is your favorite fictional book and why? 3. Who is someone in authority you look up to? 4. What was your favorite class in high school? 5. If you could have a shopping spree anywhere, where would it be? If you need the instructions to post, you can copy and paste them from my diary or just leave a note and I'll give them to you.

I just want to say that I appreciate your writing. It's just refreshing to me that you are a full-time college student but that you have more to say than stuff about classes. I have a friend who can't think of anything to e-mail me or ask me about. I have a feeling it's because I'm not in college yet...I'm just taking a little time off before I start. It seems like friendship should be more than that. Just a word of thanks for what it's worth. Much love - Em

Now watching all the Star Wars movies in order would help one to understand the story, but it would also kinda ruin the surprise effect when Darth Vader says to Luke, "I am your Father." That's one of the reasons Lucas put out the last three movies first. I think Lewis wanted the Narnia series out of chronological order, too, for effect. That's why it matters. I guess I'm looking at it more from an authorial intent view and you're seeing it from more of a reader response. It's neat to see how different people look at literature. I just know I'd be kinda annoyed if I wrote a series of books and others started messing around with the order because they thought it made more sense. I'm glad they're doing the Narnia movies in the "correct" order :-P.
from thisismywish :
I know! I do not want to use Nix. That would suck. I am starting to think it might be a little psychosomatic on my part. Yikes... I also heard mayo and a shower cap works but I'm not about to even touch on that one.

Yeah, the Southerners still use "Yankee." Some of them do anyway. I'm not really a Southerner. I'm not a Northerner either. I'm a Kentuckian. Some of the Mainers who went to school in SC told me that I was wrong, but I doubt they've ever been to KY. After living in the deep South for a few years, I've realized how different KY really is. But yeah, Yankee is a term used every so often. I really do recommend Madeleine L'Engle. She's Christian, even if her stuff is a little out there. My favorite book ever is "A Wrinkle in Time." Ok, I'll let you get back to whatever you were doing now...:)

First off, happy birthday! Birth days are celebrations of life and I hope for the best for you! Now, the main reason. Thank you for leaving the note... it really made me look at things in perspective. With my writing and daydreaming, I do daily and that was not really a waste of time. Thanks. And you're little story of college text books reassures me. I ordered them back on June 21 and I just worry too much. Listen to me, I sound like a rambling fool. Crazy. Hey, I've been meaning to ask you, do you have a cerain focus that you wish to do with your English degree like literature or creative writing? Anyhow, happy birthday. - Kelly

I've actually been thinking about that a lot lately- how in recent years superhero movies have done so well. ("Spiderman," "Batman," etc.) I guess it's because the world to those people who don't know God is getting to be much more unpredictable, so they find comfort in "superheroes." Imagine if all of them ran to God! Don't get me wrong, I love a good superhero action flick, but I also know who's going to save me if I get in trouble. ;)

Thanks for the congrats! It was a great graduation. Not sure if you gathered this but I didn't graduate with captain_bykota on xanga. She's a "friend" of mine. Didn't know if that might make you scratch your head. There was, shall we say, a "falling out." But it really worked out great and I'm glad it was just the three of us. Happy Star Wars!
from snoopy-9487 :
The car incident from yesterday was very... embarassing, especially since I forgot to mention the fact there was a cop in the parking lot watching me didn't add to the fun. Kingdom of Heaven is a good movie, I was surprised that my parents wanted to come and see it! But it is gory but not that gory. It could be much worse because, in my opinion, movies can never fully portray the horrors of war. Yet, still a good movie, especially if Orli is in it :) I hope you did well on your history exam!

Your new layout looks good. Unfortunately, I can't scroll down. I can only read the first couple of paragraphs. This could only be because I have a MAC, though.

Heya, Happy Easter!
from hamiltonian :
Sorry about my absurd rant, hope you dont mind L.
from hamiltonian :
I didn't mean in an absolute context or anything for that matter. Thats one reason i am hamiltonian libertarian if I would actually peg myself as such though I as you probably know dont like labels because they are unrealistic. Again how can one be a hamiltonian and a libertarian? Think about it. Well I am just saying that most medicines will come to bite us back one day through on our bodies as does sun block. Actually as in that csae it has already occurred. We live in a society that outlaws certain things deemed bad and others are "OK". America is so drug addicted and the people are blind to it. Most people taking medicines when they should be taking placibos. Psychiatrists will give medication out but offer and give no psychological therapy, so one is to me physically and psychologically dependent on the drug... well that sounds sickening. Not many people look for real solutions to problems. How many people are on street drugs and how many people are on pharmecutical drugs? Almost everyone! All I am saying is that people do die and that its inevitable and by keeping somone on machines for years and years when they cant do anything is also a bit screwed up, especially if the person is deemed without any chance for recover (such as my Johnny Got His Gun scenario). In a discussion recently between college students and Michael Badnarik about education and the public school system something struck me once again. the student kept saying about how money is needed to be put into projects for the worst schools so kids can learn. But the process is so screwed up. But he stated that we have to put forth more money to make it right. Well tough shit I thought because we don't live a utopia and besides throwing money at is already is whats going on and its not working! POINT: All the medicines and machines wont make it all better and keep us alive forever. Moderation is needed and we are increasingly moving toward a fully drug-addicted society dependent on hospitals for more as our elderly get even older. More nursing homes instead of dying when its your time. Seat belts are fine but lets have moderation and not take everything we do as a society too far. If I didnt explain myself I'll email a phone card and you can call me. Seriously as I knowmy rant on this probably sounds "CUCKOO". If not thats great, as I am tired after a long day.
from hamiltonian :
I am by no means at all in anyway a fan of Rush but when he needed them after all his bashing of them (of which was for only political reasonings) they were there for him.
from hamiltonian :
An innocent man was just wrongfully arrested in NOLA, he was just driving his car and then pulled over. Arrested and taken into custody, he was beaten up ti his face was swollen and unrecogniseable by other inmates as his cell was unlocked and no guards were even on duty. The police department declined any responsibility and had no further comment, The ACLU has come to this young mans aide.
from thisismywish :
Oh I am so lucky. I am married to Hugh Jackman. Yessssss *Napoleon Dynamite Moment* Anywho...my brother is taller than me by a long shot. I am 5'4 and he is like 6'0. But, I'm only a year older than he is. Anyway, God bless! -Beth
from mami2hood :
I love your diary!! The layout is so cute and you are so organized :)
from hamiltonian :
Remember the Trinity Churchyard scene in New York toward the end? Well that is EXACTLY where Hamilton is buried. I felt that was an inside joke that the "treasure" was buried under the first "treasury" secretary. As for the ACLU, though it doesn't in my judgement do the right thing all the time, it would be a loss to everyone if there wasnt one. I wholeheartdly would rather have one than not. To have a group committed to fighting legally on behalf of others is a wonderful thing not seen in other parts of the world. In other countries its the governments way or else! I would not blame the entire ACLU for its faults though, despite the many it has, because again "Hate the sin, not the sinner". I say that often but feel it is true otherwise a wrongful stereotype would be put in place. It's nice that books that were once banned are not anymore and they have done other things like the plight of japanese americans in WW2 to Brown v. The Board of Education case. Many times the ACLU ends up the last line of defense for civil liberties. But its a GIANT orginization with all types of political persuasions, so its understandable how they would just about upset everyone.

I am not a fan of pornography, though I do understand its appeal. While it does not interest me , I am okay with it being available to anyone else. But some of the stuff out there is just disgusting, or whatever is beyond disgusting. Like japanese stuff (I have a friend who is a porn hound and if go go see him he always has a tv playing with porn on). It defies logic why anyone would want to watch it, but people do. Maybe they do it just because they can! Well thats sound "immature".
from erunamagrnlf :
hey! i agree totally with what you said about relationships and movies. i've even compared my relationship with david to a movie at points, and him to one of those old black and white movie guys who has insanely romantic things to say all the time. it's hard not to think of people like that. or that they're supposed to be like that or something. and you're right about the walking out thing. it's dumb. lol but really, it's fantasy. - Weller
from hamiltonian :
I completely understand how such a thing could not make any sense. Basically though it had been illegal on a federal level but not a state one. Though not practised since the time of Civil War, Mississippi politicians refused to remove it from state law till 1996.
from thisismywish :
Hi Laura! *high-five* Whatchya been up to?
from veiledheart :
haha no problem i seem to be way too over protective and defensive of my religion..
from veiledheart :
you left a note in oboemaboe's entry about religion. and you said this: 9. Well, we really can't just decide to "do away with religion". I mean, one reason Hitler killed so many Jews is because he believed in evolution, so maybe it wouldn't hurt to do away with that religion. But what if a "religion" is actually the true history of the world? We could choose to not believe in it but that wouldn't make it not true. --- what religion did you mean we could do away with?
from mcdonaldsfry :
I totally agree with you about the fact that you are either living for God or you aren't. What you said about Aragorn really hit me...he is what he is (good...) no matter if people think he's bad or not.
from mcdonaldsfry :
Good entry...I enjoyed reading it. But I have to ask you a question...did you really have an all clear idea that Strider (or as we all later find out he's called Aragorn...) was good? He seemed a bit bad to me if you want to know the truth. And Borimir? He really can't be considered "wholly" bad can he? Smeagol/Gollum is also a good example that people are confusing. It's hard to know if you can put some people in the "bad" category or the "good" people. There's always more underneath the surface. Just thought I would point out that although "Lord of the Rings" isn't quite as good as the Narnia books about the whole "angel of light" thing but they aren't as bad as they seem. -Lacy

My pint is corruption is real and both parties are exactly that. I am against both these parties that illegally and should be disqualified. Both would do whatever possible to ensure victory. We have a media that brainwashes us and blacks out reality. Matrix? I agree there isnt but dont be fooled either. I accept we live in a corrupt society, but I will not obey politicians that illegaly take office and impose laws that go against the Constitution.
from hamiltonian :
He created it to manage our country which was going under.. yes they were going bankrupt. His sytem was partially destroyed but brought back during war of 1812. Because country could not pay bills. It was never supposed to be this way. Here is an interesting quote: "We should take advantage of this historic opportunity to use the benefits of debt reduction to extend the life of Social Security and Medicare and pay off the entire national debt by 2013 for the first time since Andrew Jackson was president.President Bill Clinton, in an announcement of the record national debt reduction , May 1, 2000 ; Btw since the debt has been a huge problem since Andrew Jackson is due to the fact he destroyed Hamilton's Bank. I despise Jackson an American Terrorist and advoctae him being taken off the $20 and John Jay being put on there. After all John Jay was one of the five greatest Americans of all time...
from hamiltonian :
I like what you said. Your a smart cookie... But I believe we have left the idea of a Democratic Constitutional Republic and thats what needs to be restored. It wont happen under Democrats and republicans who take money for policy under lobbyists sytem. How can we vote in office a candidate that accepts money illgeally and legally from a foreign government?
from hamiltonian :
Privledged.. in some ways I agreee. But that is no reason to be blind like 95% of our population is to whats wrong. that our constitution is regulary vilated by elected officials... that the lobbyists system is bascially public policy for sale... that the drug war is a HOAX.... that rapists and child molesters receive the least penalties possible under law while small crimes get much larger... thatour government keeps adding more laws and restriction on us and spending our money ... that corruption and violence are rampant in our nation. The romantic view of America is bull, we do have so much to be proud of but to ignore whats wrong is absurd and an outright lie. Ignorance is not bliss, and compliance with the evil nature of all this should not be tolerated. I do not believe in comparing evil or pain. Just judge and view it for what every situation is not compared to others. I totally agree with your point on voting as we must follow this precept. However our nation is not a democracy but a constitutional republic which most people seem to forget. Outright democracies are inherently corrupt... I am voting Badnarik and opposed to the status quo corrupt leadership that holds to power as a two party dictatorship.
from hamiltonian :
sorry for the spelling.. i am in a hurry like the rabbit in Alice in Wonderland!

I strongly believe in what Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, Benjamin Franklin, Abraham Lincoln, and George Washington stood for, they are true heroes whom we have not seen in a long time in our government. I strongly dislike Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson, both horrible men as well as horrible public servants whom both undermined the freedom of the American People. I will email you whn I get the chancve, I have family coming this weekend from England (Kenilworth actually) and I need to be ready for them. thanks for the note as it is much appreciated...

I dont know, Im just the kind of person that does not want to waste a moment when Im finally an adult. And to me, college seems almost unnecessary. Yes, I know, I do need a degree to fall back on in case my dream jobs dont work out. But I want to be optimistic! Nah, not really, Im just lazy. $1000 a year? Wow, where are you going? Its rather interesting to talk to someone thats already a legal adult and going to college and all. I asked most of my friends recently what they wanted to be when they grew up. Its weird to actually have a friend thats there already, and able to go out on her own. Anyways, I think I still have some time left to figure it all out :) ttyl ~Luisa~
from eowynne :
Yeah, I don't understand it either, with my church not letting me sing on the worship team. Last night I was talking to Jon about how he's in choir now, and I said I wish they'd ::let:: me be a part of the worship team (they basically ::dragged:: Jon into choir because he has such a gorgeous voice), and he laughed, and then his smile immediately fell when he saw I was being serious, and he asked, "You mean, so you've actually ::tried:: to be on the worship team....?" I nodded, and he looked really surprised and then he felt really bad. But I'm still happy for him, that he's in choir.
from eowynne :
Thanks... again. ;) I am sooo forgetful and I obviously have a lot of problems. You reminded me what I did wrong - after analyzing the problem for a half hour, that is....

Oh yeah, I understand that just because you have some Republican viewpoints doesn't mean you're all-Republican or anything. Of course you can dislike Republicans, I just didn't know why you didn't like Cheney. I ::heard:: about that incident, but I have found no ::good:: sources to back it up besides The Inquirer and theyknew.diaryland.com (which gets most of its articles from such magazines, anti-bush websites, and very liberal newspapers with writers that can get away with being partisan, to be blunt...). So that's just what I have to say! I don't know enough about him to truly like or dislike!! :)
from eowynne :

interesting points you make....I really hadnt read the biblical story of the crucifixtion all that many times, and never heard it preached on, so maybe thats why it seemed more horrifying to me than it probably did to you. but then after watching it, I read the story again and though, 'yeah, I guess it really was a horrifying thing....I just didn't pay much attention to it before.' but your right, it's quite an eye-opener. ok...long note, sorry...bye!

You don't have to read it but uh, well its horrible! http://icedmilk.diaryland.com/60.html I mean, even though you didnt particularly like my diary... I mean it isn't your type- you still gave me a chance and that is very much appriciated! Thanks again, ooh and drop me a note if you look at that evil icedmilk thing! xxxxx <3
from elfdaughter :
you said that you are too lazy to finish a story and write more and get published...just like me. weird. I know I can write, i have the time, have many stories swirling around my head, but somehow I get around it and procratinate a lot. it's sad...I'm so lazy sometimes. well, ttyl Luisa

Yay for me right? Well I changed the name on my locked diary, so go back to your review http://icedmilk.diaryland.com/75.html and click on "hospital" again and read the entry if you havent already. If you want/have time. Have a good day, and I love your window lock story :P -Kelsey
from icedmilk :
Ah, dearest Laura- I've tried completing your review 6 times. And alas, my computer has decided to crash everytime I get near the end of your diary. Even though I really love your diary, I just can't keep redoing it and forgetting to save it.. Ya know. I don't know what I should do. Email me, or talk to me on aim, if you have it. My sn is WowCerealRocks. Sorry! -Kelsey
from sillyreviews :
Thanks for requesting, your review is on it's way!

Thanks for understanding about me quitting...Bob's Reviews was eating up my time. You DO have to have nerves of steel with doing reviewing and I don't think I have those. Have an amazing day and God bless. -Lacy

hey there Laura! This is Jennifer the girl that is now some-what running Bobsreviews I guess. I just wanted to note you and say hi. Cause I don't really think we've talked before. Anyways, hope you have a super day! -Jennifer

Hey Laura! This is Lacy from Bob's Reviews...I'm planning on quitting Bob's Reviews and I asked Jennifer if she wanted to take over. I hope that's alright with you. Have an awesome day! -Lacy

Hey! I have my new forum! http://users.boardnation.com/~giantkiller/index.php Check it out!:) It'd be great to just some people on there. I am so sick of people being rude to me. It'll also give me a great time reading people's hate notes about me. In fact, I'm even thinking about making it a full fledge forum for anyone who hates anyone on diaryland. Hahaha. So anyone can just add the link on there site, and people can go there and hate, and then we can just laugh. It'll gather evidence of the stupidity of leftists. I have too much time on my hands.
from oboemaboe :
Wow, you're so lucky that you've been to all those places! I've been to Europe exactly once, and that was to London. Of course, naturally, I fell in love with the place, so I'm planning on moving there after I graduate from college. But then, I'm just over halfway done with grade school, so I'm stuck in this America for quite awhile yet. *pouts* -Lizzie
from eowynne :
Argh... I know. I prepared myself to get pretty much chewed up by my reviewers. But I really didn't see THAT coming. She could've just said, "I don't believe in God and I don't get what you're talking about" or something along those lines, but she didn't have to say all the rude, degrading things she said. If she was in a bad mood (as she said she was at the end of the review), why did she even review? That's what I don't get. ~owyn~
from erunamagrnlf :
hey! thanks for watching Master and Commander. (cause i swear you watched it for me...) i've been wondering weather or not it was a good movie. and since you watched it, i can now watch it without thinking i wasted moolah. - Weller

from icedmilk :
PS- sorry that was so long, and I forgot to add that this is Kelsey. :)
from icedmilk :
I just wanted to apologize for not having your review done. I've had quite the week. My keyboard broke, so I've been using the onscreen keyboard, and those are no fun to use while typing up a nice review. Then Thursday night my friend passed out at her boyfriends house so he dumped her off at my house while she was convulsing so I took her to the hospital and didnt get back til 6am Friday, then slept most of the day. Just now I tried logging in and despite I'm using the same password that the help email says I have on Iced Milk, it will not let me log in. Now I have to go on hiatus because tomorrow I'm leaving with my grandparents for Idaho, and won't be back until Thursday night of this week. Again, I'm sorry I haven't been able to finish your review. If you'd like, you could wait until about Friday, or you could request one of the other 2 reviewers. Your choice. Thanks for visiting Iced Milk, and have a good week.

Congrats on the new car. A Ford is nice and reliable car. My dad has a Ford truck but it isn't the same... I have a thing againist truck like cars (aka SUVs) since I got my license. For instance, I had to go to the vets to get my dog his food. I pulled into the micro parking lot and a gaint, gas-guzzling SUV parked in the middle of two spaces instead of one so I couldn't park wihtou damaging the car. It was like a maze trying to back up and pull out to try and find another parking space. Eeek. I probably just wasted a few minutes of your life with my little story of SUV horrors. But that is just me. Back to my original point, congrats on the car. Huzzah! Bye! -Kelly

Anyway, you're right about there being so many talented writers on diaryland, I come across tons of them each day (and of course, I get the honor of reviewing many of them). Hehe, I know what you mean about the Lord of the Rings music. I always get really riled up when I'm listening to the scary Black Rider parts in Fellowship...it's just amazing what they can do to make music SOUND like scary cloaked ghosts. Just so cool.

I dread driving everytime I got out. I've been driving for a little over a year now where I am legal in Virginia to drive by myself and surprisingly, I have not had any ticket nor been in any accidents. I haven't had any trouble even when I did have my permit, unlike a few of my friends who have been in more than one accident since having their licenses about the same amount of time as me. And you sound real lucky for not having yell at you for the mirror being somewhat broken :) Anyhow, I should be doing homework about now. Bye! ~Kelly

Thanks for the comments in your profile :) you're so cool! Dude, i'm looking at that Night at the Opera site...have you seen the deleted scenes part? "Driftwood (to the cab driver when he learns that he has arrived at the opera house before the opera is over): On account of you, I nearly heard the opera! Next time I go to the opera, I'll take a turtle. At least with a turtle you've got something. When you get tired of it, you can make turtle soup. Of course, you can get turtle soup in cans. But you can't go to the opera in a can. On the other hand, you can't go to the can in an opera." lol!

Glad to hear that you are feeling better after having your wisdom teeth taken out. One of my good friends just had that done. She was really dreading it but everything tured out ok. I think my turn might be next though hopefully it won't be for a little while. I hate dental work - I've already had braces and had four teeth taken out. Why can't they leave me alone!? :-) Take care. -Em
from snoopy-9487 :
Thanks for wishing me luck on the SAT. So, today was the day you got your wisdom teeth pulled. I'm glad it went well for you. I remember exactly when I got mine out three years ago. But I won't bore you by telling my story. Are you stuck eating only liquid foods for a week? Well, I hope you feel better. Bye!
from snoopy-9487 :
Thanks for the note. I don't mind when people ramble on, honestly! I ramble on all the time and there's nothing wrong with it! I do usually put to much prssure on myself ergo expecting too much. I suppose it is better than being conceited, actually it is better. Well, yes, I'm on my way. Bye!

I'm not one to often leave notes even though I read everyday. :) I took your quiz, very nice quiz. I hope you hear from your top college choice. But you wrote you have to get your wisdom teeth out. I got mine about three years back. I remember it so well... including not being allowed to eat solid foods for a week. Because of it, I dread going to the dentist. Everytime I got to the dentist, he always tells me something bad like I need braces (never had them) or something else. Ah. Yes, I have to finish an English paper. Bye!

from evenstar101 :
I loved what you had to say about Anne Frank. I myself am reading her diary (for the 3rd time) and I recently did a paper about her life. WW2 is one of my favorite parts of history to learn about...Hitler especially. It's amazing to read about him and how he had such control over the people and that they did what he wanted regarding the Jews and the concentration camps. Unbelievable.
from elevenhours :
Hi, I was just checking out some diaries and I came across this one. Um...Yeah, ok well. My name is also Laura. I love Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Star Wars. from evenstar101 :
Don't be ashamed with being a little dissatisfied with yourself and thinking that you need to change. Change can be a good thing. I myself have always been a little shy and have had sef-confidence issues. But I'm getting to the point now where I try to be super friendly and will talk with just about anybody. I realized that I didn't like it when people were stand-off-ish with me so I didn't want to do that to others. I've learned just to be myself and be friendly - if anyone has a problem with that then fine. I'm not trying to please people, just God in the way I act. I also enjoy being alone. I'm not the kind of person who needs to have someone over to my house every weekend and I'm not a big phone talker. And I'm alright with that, thought I do LOVE getting together with friends for parties and the like. Again, change is good but God also created people the way they are and I don't think we should try to be someone that we aren't.
from mcdonaldsfry :

Thanks for the birthday wishes! And yes, you MUST buy a Josh Groban CD. Honestly, he is the best singer on the face of the planet. I was skeptical about him at first. I don't typically like opera, which is what I thought he sang. But the second I heard the 1st song on his first CD I was in shock. It was the best thing I have ever heard in my life and it was so NOT opera, even though it was in Italian. The first song made me cry. Now, I'm not a cryer, not very emotional at all and when something can make me cry - that means that it's amazing. So, Josh Groban is amazing.

Eric saw it when it first came out and he's been talking like a pirate ever since...which isn't beyond him, but usually when he goes crazy over a movie like that it means it's good...I'll hafta see it....or maybe you just think it's good because of the GUYS in it? Lol, j/k....see ya soon girl! -dave

Hey! Thanks for the note! I LOVE "I Love Lucy!" I have almost 18 tapes full of episodes that I recorded off of TVLand. I'm not a big TV watcher but I could never get sick of that show! I've seen almost every episode and I always laugh even though I've seen them a thousand times! Well, I g2g. God Bless! *~*Wannabe Elf Girl*~*
