Speak Your Truth

What is is about my brain that causes my thoughts to swirl around and clog it up? All I know is that, be them\y boring, inconsequential or insightful, I need to tell somebody.

n.b. this is a private, personal diary, so if you know me from elswhere please don't link to me in case others find it.

My favorite diaries:

cassiopeia- profile - diary
comments: Cutest baby in Dland (with the most adoring mummy, too)
gbg profile - diary
comments: Can't put my finger on what I like about Bunny (apart from the Buffy fandom), but I do!
non-descript profile - diary
comments: Very honest and interesting diary

My favorite music:

Crowded House
comments: Though they've split up, I still love their music, it's uplifiting and deep and just so good to listen to. I especially love the lyrics!
The Corrs
comments: I loooove the Corrs, the Irishness, the popness, the rock, the acoustic, the lyrics, the tinwhistle, the violin, the bodhran, the harmonies...!
Matchbox20
comments: The lyrics the lyrics the lyrics! (and Rob Thomas)
The Beatles
comments: So innovative and original, their music varies greatly and I never tire of it.
U2
comments: The new is good the old is never old, the music is great, the lyrics fab (I can't believe I actually said fab...)

My favorite movies:

Labyrinth
comments: Give me the child...Magic, music, puppets, a female heroine...what more could a fantasy and musical fanatic want?
Mary Poppins
comments: (step in time!) I never get tired of watching this! It is sooo clever, while being fun and magical and musical!
Meet Me In St Louis
comments: I know it's a little silly, but I've always loved this movie and you'll never really appreciate Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas until you see it in this film.

My favorite authors:

Georgette Heyer
comments: Can't put her books down! Jane Austen with more sparkle and dazzle (and yes, a bit less depth, but more fun)
Terry Pratchett
comments: The Discworld series is both funny and witty, but also extremely profound. I love them!
Robert Jordan
comments: Changed my life. Well, got me caught up with online RPGs and discussions (you can discuss Robert Jordan books for hours).
Jane Austen
comments: The Queen of Literature in my opinion, smart and clever (especially her character drawings), down to earth yet a romantic at heart.

update April 6, 2020: Sorry, we just had 8+ hours downtime due to a server problem. Restoring from backups took soooo long, but everything is back and no data was lost. Ay yay yay! Anyhow, hope everyone is well with the virus stuff.
