Awww, your poor car! i spend so much time in mine it's like a second home. i had to cough up $536 a couple weeks ago to replace the brakes too. it's almost like the attatchment you'd have with a pet or something. as for the argument with your dad, don't let it get you down. my folks have never said anything like that outright to me, but i can tell my mom wishes i'd find someone. relationships are not something you can force yourself into, believe me. i've tried. you've just gotta keep trying until you find someone who looks like a good fit, you know?

Send it... send iiiiiit! XD Really, I'd love to put it on the site (if you want me to). Your writing is something I'd really look forward to reading. :D I love youuuuuu even though I don't update nearly enough... -_-;;

Big guitar earrings sound cool to me! My favorite song in a jc penny commercial? That just makes me sad. Guess i should be used to it by now though, with tommy in that allergy commercial and most other huge rock bands selling out.
from o-firefly-o :
Ah, thanks for the pumpkin! that is totally awesome, maybe i'll try that with a real pumpkin next year. I'm all moved in to my new place and i was listening to one of the CD's you made me earlier actually, the one with "dogs" on it. Anyways, happy halloween, go scare some little kids, haha.
from mathero :
I'm promoting my diary because I'm bored as hell tonight! =)
from o-firefly-o :
Hillary Duff should be fuckin' hanged for screwing up one of the greatest cries against the establishment. All the little 'tweenager' girls who hear it will never know the REAL version!!!! It makes me so sad! And really pissed off! Anyway, i mailed your package, it should arrive next monday or tuesday, i'd guess. The freaky thing i realized-i also used that same bit from "almost famous" on the tape i sent you!!! hahaha!
from m-1967 :
O_O I hope that your sister's wedding will be unaffected! ...*raises hand* I know about The Monkees' history! I must be a 14-year-old girl, too. ^^;; I love PAC&J. It's my favourite Monkees album. Nez is so wonderful, and I agree that his voice is stunning. But then again, I am biased too. ;) I go through periods where I obsess over one band, then on to the next, and so on. My Monkees one was this past summer--right now, I'm all Whoified again!
from o-firefly-o :
I know just how you feel, the no close friends nearby thing. That's why i pour so much energy into practice i suppose, because i've got nobody to hang out with and nothing better to do. And Who Boy back? I think it's a sign that you should find him and talk to him! Hahaha. On the painful side, once my ex..sorta relationship guy and i started hanging out, it made me all like him again, and remember all that stuff. So you've gotta either talk it out and settle it, or..you'll never know, i guess. Sorry i'm not too hot on the advice today! :)
from o-firefly-o :
Congrats on the license! My first drive was to chauffer my brother someplace, very exciting. We never seem to be online at the same time, what a bummer!
from o-firefly-o :
Oh man, i so wanted to go see Isle of Wight next week, it's playing near chicago somewhere...can't afford it though, i'm horribly broke. And Queen does indeed rock...there's this box set my folks have, it has two CDs. One is called 'classic queen' and the other is 'greatest hits.' The classic one i like best, it has a lot of stuff that isn't played on the radio often. Maybe you can find that somewhere, it also had a cool postcard of the band in their big hair days which i tacked to my wall. :)
from o-firefly-o :
Glad the driving's going well...i was horrible when i started! Just don't freak out on the highways, drive 85 mph like me and you'll be fine! wha-ha-ha :P
from m-1967 :
"Oh no! It's a bleeding box!" :D :D :D When Keith kisses Roger I go all wobbly. ;)
from o-firefly-o :
oh my gosh!!! The WHO are playing two shows on the west coast this AUGUST!! Aug. 7 in San Fran, and the 9th at the hollywood bowl...i dunno how far from california you are, but you should GO!!!! I'd love to make a road trip and go! I found this in the latest rolling stone, along with an amusing cartoon of ol' rog and pete...wearing socks with sandals!!!! Gah, i hope he has better fashion sense in real life...
from turbogeek :
is your dad racist of bob dylan the puppy? :)
from o-firefly-o :
I heard Entwistle call it "Tommy on Ice" first, so i didn't make it up! Great choice of CDs there too, i love that pete compilation, there's an amazing remix of "let my love open the door...", and some classic Queen too! I'm currently blown away by the Live at Leeds version of "magic bus," though i keep thinking of 'Jerry Maguire," haha.
from circleline :
hmmm, now I AM paranoid...but thanks for the heads up....
from o-firefly-o :
"this cheeseburger is bloody amazing!" haha! That tape was great, and i really liked the small faces album too! As for Queen..."bicycle race," "you're my best friend," and "under pressure" are my favorites...there are lots of great Queen songs! And hopefully Zep will grow on ya too..Zep III is my favorite, it's more acoustic than the others. Enjoy the rock!
from m-1967 :
Hope little Roger feels better. :) "Maximum R & B" is a WONDERFUL book. Now I can tell you to turn to certain pages and "*SQUEE!*" with me over whatever photos there... ;) The other book looks quite good, too, but I've never read it. The one I want now is "Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere," which, supposedly, is excellent... I'll stop rambling about Who books now!
from m-1967 :
Squee!! SQUEE!!!!!! I wish I could have gone to see that in the theater... even if the print was bad. That must have been SUCH a cool experience. :D And yes, the bum wiggle. YAY! I WILL update Armenia soon. I promise. I'll let you know when I do. I have an Enty layout that I'm getting ready...
from m-1967 :
Awwww, I'm so sorry to hear that, honey. *hugs* I hope he'll fare well wherever he goes...
from o-firefly-o :
HAHAHA!! What an awesome dream! Hummus? Hmm, i don't eat it that often, but it sounds good. Heh, i used to carry paintbrushes around all the time too, now it's my guitar case more often than not! :P
from o-firefly-o :
Awwwwwww! Those puppies are so darned cute! And your drawings are great, especially the Robert Johnson. Nice work!
from m-1967 :
Please allow me to just go, "SQUEEEEEEE!" at everything I just saw. You draw so well!! And now that I've seen the main characters I'm even more interested in "I Can't Reach You" than I was before. Hmmmmm. I also want to hear Unusual Fornication's albums, hahaha. What a great name for a rock band. ;-) Oh, and: PUPPIES!! AYEEEEEE!!!!!
from smarmed :
Okay, while I may not agree that Jason Schwartzmann looks very much like Keith Moon, I am pathetically obsessed with him as well as Cracking Up. We can marry him TOGETHER. WHEE!
from o-firefly-o :
Holy crap, he does look like moonie! what a freaky coincidence. Now i want to go and rent "rushmore." Aw, man, your dream made me laugh hysterically! I need more dreams like that, heehee....
from m-1967 :
Ahahaha, yes, we Italians certainly are the crazy sort. Too bad I missed the holiday! Next year I'll have something to celebrate. ;-)
from m-1967 :
Hmm... perhaps you should just ask him what is going on. Unfortunately, I really don't know what to say... sorry! ^^;; But, I can tell you this: that T-shirt rocks, man. :-D
from m-1967 :
ARDAL O'HANLON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh GOD, he's gorgeous. I've only seen one stand-up thing he did on Comedy Central, but he's Father Dougal on the show "Father Ted." If you've never seen it, you HAVE to. Oh, it's so funny! Yeah... sorry for rambling in your notes... ^_~
from o-firefly-o :
The freaky thing is, I'm about ready to switch my major too. Except it's to a totally different area of study! What a wierd coincidence, eh? The thing to do is not to worry about it. Just go with what you feel is the best, something that you won't utterly loathe studying. I wouldn't want to interview strange people either, too anti-social for that! I don't blame you for wanting to switch majors. You're a great writer, and it's what you love to do, so you'll find a career that works.
from angrystarlyt :
Goodness, definitely. Everytime I read a book I end up talking in the same style as the writer by the end of the trip. Makes reading things like Huckleberry Finn extra fun!
from o-firefly-o :
Yeah, isn't By Numbers great? Dang, if I had a ukelele I would learn "Blue, Red and Grey"... though I could just capo it too. Oh yeah, knew you'd love the into bit to "A Quick One" from Live at Leeds! I want my dad to get me the deluxe edition of Who's Next for my birthday, I was *this* close to getting it the other day...
from o-firefly-o :
love the new layout! Awesome. Glad you liked the card! I talked to another young female Who fanatic last night too! Another one to add to our group, hee hee!
from angrystarlyt :
Ohhhh, I love the new layout!
from o-firefly-o :
Hah, that photo is hilarious!! Wow! Way to go, learning "Let my Love Open the Door!" That one took me awhile...Oh, and your scanned drawings are really excellent. I LOVE that last one of Pete, it's soo cute!<3 Makes me want to get out my sketchbook while I'm on break too, haven't done any free creative stuff in forever...
from factorygirl :
The last time you mentioned Scary Go Round you TOTALLY got me completely hooked. I love it, I'm scarily in love with a friggin CARTOON CHARACTER (mmm Ryan) and it's all your fault!!! Heh heh, thanks....
from o-firefly-o :
actually, that's my favorite Clash album! They're probably the only punk band i've really gotten into so far. 'Lost in the Supermarket' and 'Train in Vain' are my favorites...indeed, the Who are the original punk band!
from o-firefly-o :
I heard a Monkees song called, "Gonna Buy Me a Dog" that was pretty funny, bet you know it! Oh, "Sympathy for the Devil..." People used to tell me it was bad luck when that song came on the radio, but my dad would turn it up and we would sing, "whoo-whoo!" through the whole thing! Love that percussion! Oh, and the magazine cover is AWESOME! Good good job!
from m-1967 :
LET THE KINKS WIN. I swear. They are just... yum. I love them. Ray + Dave Davies = geniuses. You seriously neeeeeed to listen to them. :-D
from o-firefly-o :
Hmm, I'm looking....This sounds like the coolest class assignment in the WORLD, by the way...heh, maybe cut that one from page 101, or 125...hm! pg. 177 is a serious one, if you want to go for that. I've got a nice pic of Keith from one of my brothers' drum magazines, it's my favorite picture of Keith, I'll try to scan it tomorrow...Bellboy? pg. 270?...the spread on 286 to show off his drums! That would be good!...there's a big one on 293, eh, but maybe you should go for younger photos...man! My AAA book is all ripped up and crinkled from me loving it to death! Haha! Uh, what about that photo of Keith in mod gear, with the 'Elvis for Everyone' button? Have you seen the one of Moonie wearing the sweater that says, "The Greatest Rock N'Roll Band in the World?" Well, that's all I can think of for now....
from o-firefly-o :
*gasp!* PETE!!! Yaay!! hee hee! I freak out whenever I stumble upon Pete footage too! Like when I found that old video of "Let My Love Open the Door," and I jumped around and started squealing, sending my sister into hysterics! Oh, I got your email too. I totally forgot the password to my one private entry!! Not that it's anything worth looking at anyway. Ah well... ;)
from o-firefly-o :
That's right, those horrible shows did come from the UK. But I figure where some people get completely addicted about stuff like "American Idol" here, the Brits were too cool to take any of it seriously...Hm, we have the NIU Coalition for Peace and Justice, but they don't seem to be doing much lately. Nothing that's getting noticed by the school at large, anyway. And being a commuter student gets in the way when I can't even get to meetings, so that's another bummer. Oh, the Beach Boys!! I love them! Ha ha! Maybe you'd like the albums Sunflower and Surf's Up? I got those on CD, they're more experimental, I think, but I love it...and I think only one or two songs have the word "surf!" Theremin? I know Jimmy Page used that instrument on some Zep songs, I saw a picture of him playing one..don't you wave your hands over it or something? Very cool...
from o-firefly-o :
Hey, they make Chuck Taylors in green?? Ha ha! Aww, really, I sympathize! The very first crush I had was on a boy I had known since preschool, and suddenly I couldn't even talk to him. I looked for him in the halls between classes and completely freaked whenever I did catch a glimpse of him. And this went on until graduation! I really regret being so afraid to get to know him again though, and so jealous at his various girlfriends. Things could have been completely different if I had just gotten over being so shy...Now I'm afraid it's too late to fix that old friendship. So uh, yeah. Encouragement! Just go nuts, run over and talk to Who Boy! Yay, you can do it!
from o-firefly-o :
Uh, well, I do know that humbuckers give a really raunchy sound rather than the cleaner tone characteristic of coiled Stratocasters. That's why I like Les Pauls, you can flip between the cleaner treble of the front pickup or the grating noise of the rhythm. I heard that Jimmy Page specially rewired his Gibsons so both humbuckers would be rhythm, thus creating the amazing sound of Led Zeppelin!
from o-firefly-o :
Ha ha! I have had many a worried conversation with my parents concerning my health, with my dad emphasizing the virtues of chicken(forget it!) and mom forcing me to eat as much dairy as possible. She's "all about the protein!" Nevertheless I prefer to eat boxes of breakfast cereal and raw vegetables. Yum yum. Oh, and Moon is a wonderful book, I know which parts you've been talking about. Yeah, I never really knew anything about Tommy until I heard the album and was totally confused for most of the plot; I tried working it out myself as well. I didn't know there was a film of it until my dad told me! Ooh ooh! Did you read the one little part where Fletcher is talking about Keith's house and all the stuff he bought, and the time Keith and Pete went out and bought these airboat things? But Keith didn't live on the water like Pete, so he rode his around the house instead!!
from o-firefly-o :
Of course I love the DVD!<3 I honestly do sympathize with what you're saying about your love of music. Hell, rock IS almost a religion to me. And the way we can come to understand and love a band like the Who so completely never ceases to amaze me. I'm so fortunate to have adults like my dad around to talk rock with, because I know he understands what it's like to be a fan and want to start a band. I only wish there were more kids around here like you that are interested in classic rock, it's so hard to find people to talk to. Lucky I've got you!
from pic-n-mix :
Why hello there. I notice you are a fan of The Who too. I live in Brighton, England where Quadrophenia was filmed but am currently studying in Oregon (where I notice you live!). I too am fascinated by the past although a slightly era than you. Great diary! I like the idea of having a cast of characters. Regards, Pic-N-Mix (all the good names were taken when I signed-up)
from o-firefly-o :
AAAHHH!! Almost killed!? How awful!! Watch out for those crazy people! Yeesh! Glad you're alright though. And glad you found the local rock station, that's always the first thing I put on when I drive!
from o-firefly-o :
Yeah! Sometimes I think I'm the reincarnation of some kid who lived in the 1970's, who used to follow rock bands around the country. Or maybe I've just watched Almost Famous too many times... Oh yeah, A Quick One! That was the first Who album I listened to when we first got our crappy turntable, my brother played "Cobwebs and Strange" a hundred times! And yeah, I can sing the entire 'Fresh Prince' theme song too, most of my friends can, in fact! ha! Children of the 80s!
from o-firefly-o :
Yeah, you're right, there is a bit of hope left for rock. I was just really really depressed when I wrote that, I guess. Anyway, the concert sounded great! I really haven't listened to much of the White Stripes, but I think I should now. You reminded me of all the past concerts I've been to-the intermission rush, annoying people right behind you, ears hurting! But it's all worth it to see your favorite bands! Haha!
from madambright :
Oh MY GOD. I'm jealous! You get to see White Stripes!! Oh, Terry Pratchett is 7pm, Oct 3rd, UWashington Bookstore. I got two tickets thinking my dad would come but he has a gig that night. So if you can make it up here by some happy chance, consider yourself invited. (PS. I was gonna sign your guest book, but it was being evil and not letting me load it)
from madambright :
Hi! Guess who's going to a Terry Pratchett signing and book talk? Okay, I'll kill the suspense =>ME<=. That said, do you have any books you want signed (or do you want to come up and go to it with me?) I'm annoyed with the UO because it never has cool events like this at IT'S bookstore. No, of course not *mutters* stupidlittlebackwatertown. Robin McKinley is there the day after. I'm so going to both of them.
from madambright :
Hey, Ellen. This is Leah. I just got a diaryland account. That makes three. I think I'm a journal junkie. Really, it's just cause I've got friends on all of the separate little systems. Oh--and I don't think you're sad. You're entitled to have lust objects from afar. In fact, sometimes it's better that way. Knowing Who Boy better would probably just spoil the fantasy.
from o-firefly-o :
Geez, I'm just taking over your notes page! Yeah, that Keith Moon bio on the NPR site is the same one I gave my dad, which he loved! It's a long but good book, I'd recommend it. Wow, it's been twenty-five years....Hard to believe it's that long. When I had just started getting into the Who, my dad got excited and told me all those Moon legends-the exploding drumkit on the Smothers Brothers, the 21st birthday party, and the "I saw yer!" at the end of Happy Jack! Yeah. I miss Keith.
from o-firefly-o :
Aw! I just read about all the extra stuff on The Kids Are Alright DVD, I am sooo excited!!!!! Especially that 'leave the camera on one band member' thing you mentioned!!! HAHAHA!! Awesome!
from o-firefly-o :
**WOW!!** That's the greatest dream EVER!! And I was there!? Awesome! I actually ran into my Who-boy acquaintance today, we have a couple classes together. Actually, he's a Who and Rush fan, because he always cheered when I brought my CDs to class!
from o-firefly-o :
EEEEE!!! That tape sounds AWESOME!!! Wow! Yeah. I don't dig ponytails on guys either, my friend Steve had one forever, but he looks so much nicer with short hair. Guys with kinda shaggy longish hair are okay though. No buzzcut army boys! Blah!
from o-firefly-o :
WHEEEE!!! I FINALLY gave in and bought the Tommy DVD today!!! I was up at school buying books(my art history text is freakin' HUGE), and I stopped at Barnes and Noble, and they had it! I figured I should do something fun before it's back to long lectures and complicated drawing assignments! Hey, another British guy! Cool. Once this english guy came through the drive-thru at work, and after I took his order he went, "Luvly! Thanks!", and then I ran around squealing, "He sounds just like RINGO!!" Haha. Gotta go watch that movie now! Shrine of St. Marylin! PETE! <3
from m-1967 :
Awww, poor Ellen! I wish your hair dye would learn to BEHAVE! ... I love that dream. I'm sorry, I just do. Wogah + 1967 hair + 19th century outfit = SQUEEEEE!! (At least, it does for me. ^_~) Too bad my dreams aren't more interesting, like that!
from o-firefly-o :
I feel your pain!! I've had to get up at five a.m. a few times for one of my jobs, and gotten home at two a.m. after the evening shows(and the pay is hardly worth it). At least you don't have two jobs! Or have to deal with PEOPLE all the time! It can drive you nuts! HAHA! Yeah.
from m-1967 :
TAMBOURINE! ...let's not forget Robert Plant, m'kay? *heh heh* Oh, and when you watch "Baba O'Riley," don't forget to look for the Townshendic Folk Dancing!!
from o-firefly-o :
Gosh, what you've been going through with your dad sounds awful. My dad talks about taking me to Vegas as soon as I hit 21, but I think he gambles too much, and I just don't see the point of becoming addicted to it. Why lose so much money on the tiny chance that you might win more? And I've been feeling a little distant emotionally too. At least when I want to talk about my favorite music, he knows what's going on. He used to know way more about the Who than me, but I think we're pretty even now! And him playing drums with me is helping too, I think. But anyway, I'm rambling. I just wanted to say that I sympathize with you! <3
from o-firefly-o :
White Stripes tickets! Awesome! I'm getting Crosby, Stills and Nash tickets tomorrow, if there are any left...Your hair sounds pretty awesome. If you're looking for some good permanent dye, I suggest Special Effects from Hot Topic. It looks better and lasts a lot longer if you bleach your hair first. They have a lot of colors, different blues, purples, reds and pinks. Yeah. I'm going to rebleach and go with the indigo after I finish my summer job. Yeah.
from o-firefly-o :
Hmm, I don't think I've heard 'Zoot Suit', so I don't know if that was taken from the song. I've been listening to Quadrophenia too, I just learned 'The Real Me' today, it's not too hard...I just snapped the high e string on my electric though, so now I've gotta go get new strings! OH!!!! I just found out!!! The Kids Are Alright is coming out on DVD in the U.S. on Sep. 30!!!! Yes!!
from o-firefly-o :
Yeah, Carrie wasn't such a scary book, but I liked it. I'd like to see the original film from the 70s. Aren't rummage sales great? There are always garage sales and things around here, that's how I picked up most of the stuff for my dorm last summer! Your t-shirts are so cool, maybe I should try to make some of those. Man, I'd absolutely love to have a Pete shirt, hee hee...
from o-firefly-o :
Hah! I had heard about those old advertisements! The US Air Force?? It was so bizarre! think I have that same Who music book, it kind of ticks me off that they only have parts of the songs and I have to print the tabs to learn the whole thing. A stratocaster, oooh...I should really work on my old rockers drawing too, all I have so far is Mick, Pete, and Keith's left eye finished!
from o-firefly-o :
Yeah, group activities suck. I tried to avoid hall meetings at my dorm at all costs. I just tend to get sick of people pretending to be nice to me. Awww, you haven't seen The Kids Are Alright yet? That makes me sad! I had a lot of trouble finding it. I checked all the music and video stores in the area. Finally I looked online. There are people selling the VHS for like, 70-80 bucks, way pricey, but I finally found a guy from Canada who was selling a tape for $40, I think on Amazon.com. I think it was less because the box cover was faded. But the tape itself was okay. Maybe you'll have better luck. It's worth the effort, believe me!!
from o-firefly-o :
**GASP!!** A day WITHOUT the Who?? I could never survive! Though I understand your fear of becoming burned out- that wouldn't be good. Maybe just a little break is okay... ;)
from o-firefly-o :
ohh, I can't choose a favorite picture either! I have quite a few drawings from photos in Anyway Anyhow Anywhere. I found another good book at the library once, Maximum R&B by Richard Barnes, I think it was. It has a lot of crazy pictures too. Good stuff.
from o-firefly-o :
Um, I think the video was a year or two after the album came out, so Pete was clean-shaven with longish hair. I think he looks better without a beard anyway! There was also a little blurb from Pete in the latest Rolling Stone, and the kid seems to be alright!
from o-firefly-o :
I loved that Simpsons episode too! And the one after it, because it was about Maggie, and they used one of my favorite Queen songs. Great pictures of Pete you put up, I haven't seen those before. My hero too! <3
from o-firefly-o :
Gotta love those x-wing pilots. Wedgie!! I'm kind of in a depressing funk right now too. I think it's because it's prom-graduating season, and everyone's happy and partying, while I sit around at home or work my ass off. When I'm down, I usually listen to Quadrophenia or some Pink Floyd. Sometimes I just want to curl up into a ball and sleep, or go nuts and trash my guitar. Eh, sleeping is less expensive to do...
from o-firefly-o :
YEAH!!! Cartoons!!! I remember that Animaniacs episode, that was the greatest show...My roommate and I also reminisce about eighties cartoons like Strawberry Shortcake, Care Bears. Rainbow Brite was my favorite. Yeah, good times...
from m-1967 :
Captain Planet! He's a hero! Gonna take pollution down to ZERO! Hahahahaha, I used to LOVE Captain Planet. I wanted to be a Planeteer! I love Chip 'n' Dale and Animaniacs, too. "It's time for another 'Good Idea, Bad Idea.' Good Idea: Singing Christmas caroles to your neighbours at Christmas time. Bad Idea: Singing Christmas caroles to your neighbours on the fourth of July. [mime gets rocketed into space] The End." *hysterical laughter* I AM sad that I never saw the one with Rogie, though. Waaah...!
from o-firefly-o :
Your IM icons are cute. I'd like to use some, but I'm so technologically ignorant that I don't know how to download them or whatever. Oh, and I tried to IM you before-modsandrockers4, isn't it?-but you weren't on. Mine's Hotaru026-I think, 'cause that's my email name too. See, I'm baffled about technology!! Just got back from my guitar lesson, so now I'm all excited to go practice...
from o-firefly-o :
Prom! Ha! If you're looking into Who solo albums, I suggest Townshend's Empty Glass, which is my favorite. He also has a greatest hits CD full of lovely pictures. I think my dad has all of Roger and John's solo albums too, but I haven't listened to them yet. Keith Moon's Two Sides of The Moon is funny because he sings every song. Also, Oasis rocks-(What's the Story)Morning Glory is one of my favorites now. :)
from o-firefly-o :
Thanks for the moral support. We freaks gotta stick together! :)
from o-firefly-o :
DUDE! I drew that same picture! It's in one of my entries. I hate the Who commercials too. I couldn't for the life of me figure out what the Overture from Tommy had to do with allergy medication, and I heard Bargain first in that car commercial. Grr...
from o-firefly-o :
Glad you liked my pics! I sent that big one to ~M~, who says she'll put it in her fanart when she finishes updating. I've got some other drawings at home that I'm thinking of scanning next week too.
from o-firefly-o :
Wow, cool shirts! I have two- one with the target logo, and one with the Fallout Shelter sign from the 1973 tour that my dad got me. Homemade shirts are cooler, though. A rock history course at your university?? You lucky, lucky person!! If only we had anything close to that here. Stay cool, fellow Pete lover!! :)
from keithmoon :
Hey!! I know ya just left me a note, so, I'm leaving you one too ^_^ yeah, I know I'm not really keeping my journal on here too well, but I've got one on LiveJournal (even though I'm not GREAT with that one, it's updated sometimes anyway) at http://www.livejournal.com/users/keith_moon_girl anyway, yeah, I've noticed the Who/Monkees correlation too!!! I can't figure it out fot the life of me lol
from hug-wh0re :
i love the monkees. head was phenomenal. great movie. =] g'day.
from ordinaryday :
oh i must say. i also have a tommy obsession. saw it in boston not long ago. great music. i commend your wonderful classic taste!
from hulascarlett :
You have a *BRITISH* *Shakespeare* teacher!? Whyyyy can't I die and go to heaven?! Also, you like the Monkees... I went to a Monkees concert once, I swear. I heart Davy Jones. Later, you lucky gator you.
from blindsten :
There is a place near my house called "Curry In A Hurry". I think it's funny and I thought you could appreciate it.
from merbear :
I'm going to be really, really sad if "Terrible person-curry guy" doesn't turn into a love interest, just because it seems very Jane Austen. (from Merrie, http://www.mythoslogos.net/)
from elizbeth :
The funny thing is that I never watch the Simpsons, and yet I watched it tonight (Nov 10) for the sole reason that Mick'n'Keef were on it. And yeah, it was bloody hilarious! Oh man, I love Keith Richards.
from blindsten :
Directed here by ELIZBETH's profile page. I am a fellow Monkees fan. Not to mention, Monty Python. Perhaps I am some sort of Dutchess in your "royal family of dorks"? I intend to read you if not only to look at the Monkees pic on your layout (Yay, Mike Nesmith). ~ Blindsten

he he he, that dream about david bowie killed me, mainly because i have a friend who dreams of bowie often (although she is clearly fixated on him while you are not). it brought a smile to my face (i'm being truthful and ironic at the same time, he he he).

oh man, I just clicked on the profile of the creator of the Rolling Stones ring, only to find that you are obsessed with "A Quick One" by the Who. Irony upon irony, "A Quick One" was the song of the day on my latest entry! So needless to say it killed me. I haven't even read your diary yet, just wanted to let you know about this before I forgot. Hope you'll come by and read me sometime; you may also apprecate http://blindsten.diaryland.com, who seems very alike you in her list of interests.

Your journal is a delight... And I love your air of the sardonic. I love anyone whose radar will focus on lines like "Think I'm gonna go get a latte and read some Hemingway"... I live in a university town, too-- lines like that keep me perplexed and amused all week. I do hope you'll come by and read my own diary.

Kick butt! It's so nice to see someone else who recognizes the amazing Nesmith talent! Nice site too. ~Alisa

Thank you for signing my guestbook. It's so sad that just as The Who gain another fan, John has to die... I'm listening to "A Quick One" by them now, and John's singing... makes me want to cry again. I love your layout, by the way. I'm a huge Monkees fan. It's a bit uplifting to see them... Again, thank you.
