Hey beautiful, thanks for the constant encouragment. . .life seems so good and so bad in so many ways. . .thanks for your lovin'! I need it. . .now if I can just get my butt to the gym!
from fatqueen :
I am excited about your move. Don't stop writing about it! Just give it 100% with the exercise and then maybe in a few months you can 'add in' WW? Besides, this way, if you document, you can justify. Good for you!!
from mkia :
Hi! Thanks for leaving me a comment on my new layout. Yeah, I'm keeping the same layout after Valentine's, just changing the colors (maybe green for St. Patrick's, lavendar and pale yellow for Easter...?) every now and again along with the top tiny little well wishes for whatever season is upon us. Glad you like! ~Missy~
from fatqueen :
Down another 1.5? Go GIRL -- that's great! Have a safe trip to visit the folks... We'll be waiting for you when you get back!!
from fatqueen :
Congrats on getting the apartment w/the LOCKED gym. Excellent. I know you'll make your 'Marn Miles'!
from jenne1017 :
good call. But it was yummy so I don't care (ok I care but just wish I could eat without a gain!)
from dietingjenn :
That sounds like an EGG-CELLENT plan ;) I am going to do something like this at the end of the month when I get paid. 2 weeks of Phase 1 on south beach, then lots of salads and such. Not too much pasta but similar with the eggs and "meats" :) GO you two! And good job J for the support!
from fatqueen :
Where did you GO? Happy 2005?? I hope to see you back soon!
from h2ophobic :
I hope all is wonderful in your life! Happy 2005!
from fatqueen :
Thanks for sharing the thoughts about your Dad w/me. I appreciate someone who has gone thru the same thing. I know I'm not 'special'in that regard, many people have gone thru it and, I'm sorry to say, so will many others. I have never felt the loss of his presence, just the physical being which was sick and tired and plain wore out. I'm glad he's not suffering anymore and I believe he knows how much he's missed. Every day.
from fatqueen :
THANKS for the 'kudos'! Keep doing what you're doing. And do it for YOU. Do it to be healthy. I call it MAKING HEALTHY CHOICES.
from fatqueen :
Yum! Those mushrooms sound good!! I hope you saved me some -- I have room ;)
from fatlinda :
I do WW online and really like it. I have to admit though that I did like the meetings better, I just have too much trouble fitting them into my schedule. If you join a meeting and don't hit it off with the people, you can always change your day, time and even location.
from atorridsoul :
when you join the meetings you still have to buy your kit it's $20 it comes with the dining out book, the food (grocery) book, this neat little slider that you use to calculate points on, and some other little papers and booklets.. At every meeting you get a new book that corresponds to the week you're in. The meetings are really fun actually you get to know everyone and everyone is super supportive. when you lose your 1st 5lbs you get recognized and every so many pounds you get a neat little star sticker for your weigh in book. You don't weigh in in front of everyone either anymore you go behind a screen with just you and a leader and they weigh you.. If you lose a good amount or reach a goal you will get called out and recognized and it's actually really inspiring despite how cheesey it can be. The online thing is great if you already have been on WW for a while and just don't think you want to do the meetings anymore.. Just starting I'd highly recommend the meetings. It's just not WW without the meetings. That's probably the biggest motivator of all knowing that you're going to weigh in EVERY WEEK. you leave every meeting with a renewed sense of encouragement and dedication to weight loss. Good luck!!! email me anytime you wanna chat!
from notaboutthin :
Thanks for your note! I too hate the division in the country and totally and completely respect you being for Kerry :) Only 4 more years and the whole damn battle can start again ... Lord let me be skinny and rich by then! lol!
from fatlinda :
Thanks for the cookie recipe...they sound great. I joined Weight Watchers online and you can pick up a lot of great recipes there. They still haven't finished building the Curves by my house. I wish they would hurry up because I'm really looking forward to it.
from h2ophobic :
I agree...it's hard enough to get motivated without some twit stomping on your motivation!
from stupxd-gxrl :
I'm also part of curves. It takes alot of positive emotional energy to go there for me.. just because it feels like I'm going in circles getting no where. Anyway, I like your diary so I'm going to add it to my favourites. =) good luck
from fatqueen :
Hang in there - take it ONE DAY at a time. You're an inspiration to so many! Thank you ;)
from imabrat2 :
I suck too...just can't seem to get it together. We just have to stay determined to make it work. Good luck with the new gym. I'm waiting for a new Curves to open up by my house.
from h2ophobic :
I miss you! Where did you go?
from dietingjenn :
thanks for the note of encouragement. :)
from dietingjenn :
are you ok out there?
from runninginsf :
THANK YOU!!!!!!!! Thanks to you I now have an archived entries page that works! You rock the party!
from h2ophobic :
I just have to leave a quick note to say how happy I am that you're back. I love your honesty and humor!
from bananerzz :
I am extremely proud of you for saying that the Russian gymnast, Svetlana Khorkina, looked horribly emaciated and the negative outlook you took on that. Yes, I worry about her too, since I am someone with an ED, but who knows- I have friends who are even skinnier than her and eat oh so normally. What I do get worried about is people who constantly worry about their appearance, losing weight, and exercise- my big question is why??? It does not do any good. I'm just starting out my diary, but I think you would find a view from someone with an ED interesting (that's the focus of my diary). Best wishes!
from fluttrbykiss :
Thanks for leaving me a note... I love your diary... You are such an inspiration to me in my quest to lose my extra weight... Huuggss...
from krugerpak007 :
Those sandwhiches sound great. And you are working out so well...I just can't do it anymore. Hopefully reading about your progress will motivate me. xoxo Kathy
from maiarayne :
The way that you describe your hair is exactly how mine is. I've had hair stylist call each other over to talk about the thickness, but alas, from babies and stress it has fallen out so much that it isn't quite as thick. At any rate, I had it cut in layers, then I dyed it and used that super duper wonderful conditioner they give you and then I ran a 1 1/2" curling iron over that. (Or I added Citre Shine Hair polisher serum to my towel dried hair). That's how it got shine. It normally doesn't! (as you can see from before pics)Thank you for the compliments though, I really appreciate them!
from h2ophobic :
Just a quick note to say I'm soooo glad that you're back (and happy and in love and exercising, etc.)
from runninginsf :
hey, thanks for adding me to your buddy list. Your list of goals are a great "new you" start...believe me, you will feel much better. Also, good job on getting the vitamins and calcium chews! My doctor hounded me about that for a year and I finally got on the bandwagon. Keep it up!
from dietingjenn :
Welcome back and yay for you for taking control. Sometimes we need a swift kick in the (*&$# to get us motivated again. Like me -- I need to get back on track and I think I was just motivated by reading you!
from krugerpak007 :
Welcome back, and lots of congradulations on your marriage. Good luck with the weightloss too...Enjoy the weekend! xoxo Kathy
from gonzostar :
welcome back!! congrats on the wedding. :)
from h2ophobic :
Are you on "forever gone" or just on hiatus? I can't seem to bring myself to stop checking on you. What's up?
from just-inhale :
Keep loosing. Don't. Stop. Don't stop for a very long time.
from h2ophobic :

from h2ophobic :
I'm so happy for you! I've always enjoyed your diary entries, but they've really been awesome lately. Being in love....aahhh! Congrats on all - your love, your weight loss, your courage in life!
from aliboomboom :
Congratulations!! It sounds like you are so happy. Your guy is very cute. I hope that you reach all your goals!!
from diet-riot :
Yea! I am so happy for you! So many changes are going on in your life. But, don't forget about you. He deserves a woman who cares about herself as well as she cares about him.
from aliboomboom :
I am so glad to hear that you are doing well!! It sounds like things are really working out for you. You shouldn't have to explain yourself to anyone, if you think it's right then it's right. It doesn't matter how fast it happened. Love is an amazing thing. Anyways I totaly believe the saying "Sometimes the things that you want most are not the things that are best for you." I've been telling myself that for months but the past week has been so awful that sometimes I've found it's hard to listen to myself. Anyways congrats and get yourself to the gym so you can be all skinny on your big day!!
from thinartist :
You are doing so well!!! Onederlander is just around the corner. I hope that this giy shares the journey with you... but with or without him, you are pretty amazing!
from aliboomboom :
I am so glad that you met someone!! He sounds awesome and he sounds like he will be a really great influence on you and your diet!! Yay!! I hope everything continues in a positive direction!! I met a boy too but I don't know if he likes me at all!! Wish me luck!!
from diet-riot :
Yea! This guy sounds awesome! It is so cool that he's with you on this. Some guys just don't get it. And yes, sex is a great way to burn calories.
from diet-riot :

from diet-riot :
Thanks for all the useful info! I'm re-starting my weightloss program with WW. Those are all things I need to remember. If only doing it was as easy as saying it. (You're on my buddy list btw!)
from barenaked500 :
Hi! I just found your diary...we have a bunch of the same links so I'm surprised I haven't read you before. Anyhoo, awesome job on the weight loss and HAPPY BIRTHDAY! :)
from thinartist :
Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear wonderful losing-weight, strong, happy woman! My birthday always feels like a fresh canvas has been given to me. I hope that you "paint" yourself a beautiful year!
from aliboomboom :
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! The cake sounds fabulous and Ruby Tuesday's is delicious so have fun and good luck with the phone call guy!!
from aliboomboom :
Thanks for the note. I guess I always kind of knew that Rhnea would have to make the decision for herself but she is completely lacking in motivation. She just doesn't do anything at all. Her weight doesn't bother me, I just know that it is really unhealthy and I know that she is unhappy. You're right though, there is no way that I would try to lose weight for someone else. I just hope that something clicks in her head and she decides to do something for her health. Anyways you are doing great!! It's amazing how positive you are, of course I guess some of us see the glass as half full and others as half empty and unfortunately I am the half empty type. I'm excited by your success though and I know that when you get to goal weight, you'll feel amazing!! That will be a huge accomplishment!! Congrats!!
from aliboomboom :
I just wanted to tell you again how inspiring you are.You really stay positive even though I know that sometimes it must seem like it's going to take forever to get where you want to be. I get frustrated and I don't even really need to lose any weight, I just want to, ya know? I wanted to ask you what finally inspired you to start working out and eating better? I have a friend who is extremely overweight and very unhealthy and I would like for her to start doing something so that she could lose weight. Is there any way that I can suggest something without offending her? I'm just really concerned with her health and although she apparantly isn't, I know that she would be so much happier if she lost some of it. Just let me know. Keep up the great work though, I wish I was that devoted!!
from kissssy :
Oh, how wonderful! To feel so great about yourself now, both physically and mentally! After losing so much weight, you should reward yourself when the weather's warmer! A cruise or a weekend at the spa is only a natural treat ;) Congrats!
from ceciliamarie :
i had a dream similar a couple of months ago. i'm thinking the biological clock just turned on. i do NOT want children, i just want to be pregnant. is that weird?? lol
from aliboomboom :
I just wantd to let you know that I think what you are doing is great! You are going to feel so good when you accomplish your goals. I need to lose twenty pounds and you have really inspired me to do that!! I'll be back to check on your progress. Way to go!!
from sarahsundae :
keep up the good work. you are doing great.
from thinartist :
August Max carries petite plus size pants. Better yet, they are having a huge after Christmas sale. (I work for CCG.) Drop me an e-mail if you ever feel like chatting about clothing, eh?
from thinartist :
WOW! You rock! I am so impressed with your success! Despite my name, I am not thin but every day, I make the decision to live my life as a thin woman. You are a wonderful role model because of your continued efforts and for having made the decision. For plus size pants, have you tried Lane Bryant or August Max? Both have really cute and sexy clothes.
from chubbychic :
I laughed out loud when I red your comment about the polka dot section at Belk. I sooo know how you feel. *hugs*
from soccernut :
Hi ther! ~ I just recently found your diary (I am new to this!) and I am so darn impressed with your weight loss! You go girl! I'll be coming back for inspiration, that's for sure! Take care ~ Bella :o)

Just started reading your diary. Keep up the good work!
from labellefleur :
You are absolutely amazing!! Keep up the fantastic work. -Carolina
from heaven911 :
omg ur weightloss or should i say size loss is awesome! congradulations! thats amazing. but i know how you feel... when u lose weight really fast.. or more so quickly it usually comes off one area first... and then over a period of time it evens out to your natural frame. like for me... i can wear as small as a size 4 in tops but as big as a size 10 in some pants from the same store... makes no sense.. but really sucks that i have like no boobs left.. but yet... thunder thighs! haha i guess good luck to us both during the holidays! *Tara
from curvygurl :
I've been gone for a while and I just caught up my readings on your diary. I totally understand how you feel about scales being so different. In my case my scale at home differs from the gym scale....by a whole 15 pounds! I hate it! I know how you feel big time!
from h2ophobic :
In the middle of a huge self-pity party...I read your recent entry. You know what? You rock!
from dough-boy :
You know whats worse than when SMG doesn't work? When it does and you write a long message and then it tells you 'you can't sign again that fast' *GRRRR* Anyways I wanted to say thanx for the encouraging words. I think that I need to shake things up with my program if I'm going to stick to it. SO I thought, why don't I try the WW Flexpoints program?? I think it will give me the variety I'm desperately looking for right now! I'm going to talk it over with my wife to get her feedback on it. Thanks for listening and for kicking me in the arse when I needed it *G*
from fatty-fuck :
Hey Congrats on losing 32lbs so far! I'm just starting my Weight Loss Diary, I also Added you to my Fav's. It's so great to see that it is possible. Anyway Keep going! Your doing Great!
from catie-dids :
I found you "by accident" and love you!! I just started the whole loosing weight thing - and I'm exactly where you are! Infact, I'm starting Curves a week from today -- but 90 pounds seems so far off! UGH!!
from h2ophobic :
Yay for clothes that are too big! When you look at those baggy clothes, you should picture the fat that used to be there. The fat you've banished with your good exercise and eating habits. You rock! When I was in the process of losing my weight (1.5 years @ goal), I discovered thrift stores. It's not so painful to buy clothes that you're not going to wear for long when you only pay a few dollars for them. I've found several brand new items (tags still on them.) Good luck!
from one15-2go :
ohhhh...you know about Hollins?
from curvygurl :
great job and keep up the good work! :)
from maiarayne :
I just wanted to say congrats on how great you are doing! Keep up the great work!
from krugerpak007 :
You can do it!!!! Take care, Kathy
from giggle-junky :
oh god stephen is a nightmare. He can be funny, but goes too far. We have a dangerous love hate relationship and blow up at each other easily. Even after all our crap, we're still friends. Can't seem to keep away from each other! Thank-you for adding me to your list also, and thanks for congratulating me on the swimming!
from krugerpak007 :
Great to hear how good you are feeling!:-)Kathy
from heidiann :
Welcome to the Beauty is Me ring! Thanks so much for joining. And damn that salad sounds good. Though the results sound frightening at best!
from krugerpak007 :
Great news. Good luck with the studies and good to hear you are feeling good too. :-)Kathy
from one15-2go :
sorry, should have explained in detail..having major health issues and as of this weekend, I will be offline for a long period of time. Nothing life threatening, but enough to make me need a long rest for a while. Good news is, I am down to 257 - 7 lbs to short-term goal. If I feel up to it when I return, I may re-open the diary. Take care...Lori
