Sometimes there are people who say that religion is a crutch, that having no explanation for the creation of the world is okay. I couldn't live that life. I want to know why I'm here... Sidenote: lets say you give a gift to someone, and they don't say thank you, do you get offended? You shouldn't. But, maybe the thanks shouldn't be the reason why you gave them the gift. Maybe a truely godly reason to give someone a gift is because you wanted to give it to them. So, maybe enjoying the gift is more important than saying thanks.

i crochet too. but chain-maille really isn't hard! just learn a weave or two and you'll be hooked! rings are cheap. the tools may be a little pricier but you can start with cheap-o tools and then buy nicer ones when you get more into it. you can make very unique jewelry pieces by combining a couple weaves. if you're interested i can certainly point you to a few good sites.
