| Happy birthday! Glad you got a good time, a good meal, some new clothes, and almost birthday sex. Many more! Regarding your previous entry asking for people who are in your situation but experiencing different results to 1. suck it, then 2. spill the beans, you got it. Having done #1, here's #2:...oh wait, I don't have kids. Shit. But I'm gonna tell you what keeps my marriage rioutously happy 12 years after saying "I do. Why not. What the fuck." My wife and I have at least two mutual passions, we're each other's best friend, and we vowed that even if we had kids they'd still take a back seat to our own relationship. When I come home from work it's like I'm going to my good buddy's house, where I can relax, clown around and have a good time. And sex. We strengthen our bond constantly by engaging in the passions that brought us together (motorcycle racing and Powerpuff Girl cartoons in our case) and have no problems getting into a fistfight over whether chili should have beans or not (it shouldn't, fyi). Anyway, yeah. There ya go. Don't have a spouse, have a beast friend that you treat like a friend. Insist on doing things together, even if it means the kid misses an insulin injection or two. And don't EVER put off birthday sex again! |
