from ava-reborn :
P.S: you were discussing the colour of bogies?????!!!!!?????!!!!
from ava-reborn :
Thank you so much for your note about Caleb! I really appreciated it! You're lovely! I really needed all the comfort and support I could get! I'm glad you arrived safely and are enjoying yourself with Bonnie. And yes, bogies are green! Fresh healthy snot is clear or white, but as it dries it picks up bacteria and darkens! So by the time a bogey is formed it is green!! So, you're both right!! *hugs*
from weymouth66 :
Many thanks for the birthday wishes! love x
from viks :
your welcome to use my HP question, i have another i would like to JKR to answer, how come dobby disaparates in the hospital wing? I actyally have tons of other questions too, i think people must get fed up of me trying to discuss them with everyone i meet!
from emmazchaos :
Ahhh *takes a big gulp*. Thank you Mini Sev. I feel so much more bueno! Now, I'd feel even better if you took off that big, bulky, plastic-y robe and slipped into something more comfortable (a bed, per say). *Whew* Is it hot in here or is it just me?
from clarity25 :
Thank you so much for your note concerning the situation with my bestfriend Also please thank Bonnie for me for her comforting words of wisdom and for taking the time to share them. When I saw a note from her I was so surprised, I gasped and said "omigosh! It's cornflake's Bonnie!" (smiles) That touched me. You're both Amazing. Thank you.
from augustdreams :
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me kind words. Finding so much love and support waiting for me today really helped. *hug* I like the haircut, btw. Looks sexy on you.
from clarity25 :
I'm sorry you didn't get the house:(, That really is disappointing. I'm also sorry that you are suffering from such terrible migraines. I hope you feel better soon. Your ceramics were beautiful..oh and I named my laptop too, (his name is Charlie). You're in my thoughts. Thank you for your last notes:). Good to have you back
from ghostiness :
Mmm... sorry, you make me think of Snape. *wink* Thanks for the note. Bill Gates IS evil! Eeeeevil, even. And not as sezzy as Snape.

Hiya, I just wanted to wish you and your family a Merry Xmas. I hope you have a lovely day! From Jo XXX
from viks :
i know how to produce a protronus, light the end of my wand, open a locked door, and summon a broom. How evernot sure any of that magic is much use to you? How ever all i can do is send you my love, and maybe send the letter and present i brought you just before you went to uni as your "welcome to your new home" ! *slaps wrist*
from osirisbed :
hey there. i know that feeling of no home well--especially moving around the globe. also, my parents just sold the house i grew up in... i don't get why your mom took your key back though!
from clarity25 :
Yes, I know how weird that is to come home and have your room belong to someone else. My brother took over my room, repainted it and put PETA posters all over. His guitar and speakers..his mess. I now had to sleep on the sofa. It was really strange, makes you realize you're growing up and moving out..
from clarity25 :
I hated the firedrills in college too! ugh! They would ring at 3AM, but the funny thing about it was how revealing they were. My first year in college I was living in a girl's dormitory, when the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night..everyone stumbled out scandily clad, and there was always uncomfortable-looking guys standing around in their boxers. We found out quickly who was sleeping with who..sometimes it was surprising!. Also I know what you mean about the anxiety with your artwork, I had that too. It goes away in time, But in the beginning I was always comparing myself to others..and feeling self-conscious.
from weymouth66 :
Hi Vicki! Hope you're loving life as a fresher. Just to say I hope you don't mind me using your Hotel California joke in my latest entry! Lots of love, Jess xxx
from avalonte :
I'm the same, I love Autumn! (Except for the spiders of course!!) It's beautiful, and there's nothing better than draawing the curtains early in the evening and putting on a thick jumper and curling up on the sofa watching telly. So cosy. Better than sitting half naked, sweating like a pig even though all your curtains and windows are open, but there's no air because it's still 80 degrees outside despite being 10 o'clock at night! Yep, I much prefer Autumn to Summer! x
from viks :
Hi vicky, i just read your spider entry to mum, we were laughing away, as mum was my room, while dad cleared away the spiders. We seem to have MASSIVE spiders in surrey too!
from viks :
Im sorry its nearly time to fly back, i know its incredibly difficult for you, and as little good as it does, i'll be thinking of you x
from purpledew :
Great new pics vicki and yes, you could be Bonnies clone!
from clarity25 :
Thanks for your comforting note...by the way, I know I don't leave notes often, but I've been truly enjoying the tales from your travels and all the pictures. It's so fascinating, I feel like I'm out there with you, experiencing these things. Thanks for sharing all that with us!

from emmazchaos :
Have a fun and safe trip! Pennsylvania (I think that's where you're going) is an interesting state. If you get the chance go to Kentucky, it's really pretty there (in my opinion). Oh, and if you go more to the East Coast.., it's muggy and humid. Heads up!

they are the coolest boots. I want a pair.
from neonlemonz :
I love the Toriesque shoes and the graffiti ones too, consider me insanely jealous of your immense shoe collection. I only have a few pair that are that cool and one of the pairs I can't wear very often because they are strappy heels (that I've been dying to wear with a pair of jeans or a mini-skirt, an odd desire, I know...), but I can't because then I'd tower over my boyfriend. I've said too much, see ya.
from starlight42 :
I loved your story about the missing socks & the gnomes who steal them! very creative :)

Your just the coolest...You inspire me as well, reading about how you went back to school and being sick too helped me know I CAN do it. I just have to forget how my body feels, and do it anyway. I'm proud of you for doing what you really want to do..

I know what it's like! I've filled out so many different types of disability forms for K. And those questions are always too black & white. Disabilities aren't black & white. At least, most aren't. And most also vary from day to day, even from morning to afternoon! Every form I've ever filled out I have answered loads of questions with, "Refer to enclosed answer sheet." Then written the lengthy answers on A4! Anyway, I'm sorry you're having such a pooey week! At least the weather's nice though, eh! *hugs*
from a-rainbow :
If they dont understand ME after your letter & leaflets can I suggest stapling the above to his/her forhead? I dont remember ever seeing that in the AYME uni booklet... ;) xxxx

from emmazchaos :
Hmm... three questions? Errr... k... 1)Why Pennsylvania and why are you so excited about it? 2)Do you know anything about hermit crabs? and 3)Will you help me kidnap Alan Rickman?
from xylem :
I work with loads of foreign people from various countries, who all have pretty decent English but obviously don't know certain words, so I have great fun slipping them into conversations. A Spanish guy I work with now thinks a quim is the bucket you put mop water in...
from emmazchaos :
Fanny Packs *laughs* Fanny means 'butt' tho. At least that is how my parents and friends say it... ne way, yeah language really sucks sometimes. My best friend (who is from Japan) and I were at Safeway once and we were walking back to the high school on lunch break and she said "Ah! There's an asshole in the ground!" I had to explain to her the difference between a 'hole' and an 'asshole'. Alittle different in the language barriers (as Japanese and English are two total diff. language and "British" and "American" aren't) but humorous nonetheless.
from chillidip :
I did the same. Damn british weather hates us.
from evesbanshee :
CONGRATS!!! I Just wanted you to know how happy I am for you!!!! I knew you would get in!! :)
from a-rainbow :
Well done on Uni... I would ask Lupus about the moon thing, im sure he will know...
from sleepydust :
congratulations about uni! xx
from some-trouble :
Thats great news about uni hon, I'm really happy for you :o)
from emmazchaos :
Umm... like.. you mean a formal shirt that you might wear to a band comp? Errr... I always call them tuxedo shirts. It may be different throughout the States tho.
from viks :
i think the second outfit looks realyl good. I would paint a picture for your portfolio, only i never got past managing stick men...! Good luck, i hope it goes well. love viks x
from emmazchaos :
Uck, I hate the skirt and that shirt together. If you don't have any black pants, I'd just go for the first look. I especially dig the bracelet!
from clarity25 :
I think the first outfit is fine and so is the second version. I had to go through the whole art school interview process, and I don't know if the times have changed that much in six years. but everyone was dressed grungy and creative, the clothing they wore had a bit of artistic flair. Even the person that interviewed me. It was alot more relaxed than I had expected, I had attempted to dress more conservative and actually felt out of place. wear whatever you feel most comfortable in is my advice. btw, I really like the top
from evesbanshee :
I'm just going to be honest. I'm all about the skirt and the shoes, and I like the shirt, but the cut out shoulders might be a bit "much" for a college interview. Perhaps you have a shirt similar to that one, but that has the shoulders in it? Just my opinion :)Not trying to upset you! I wish you the very best of luck on Thursday! I'll be praying for you! Your going to do great!!
from avalonte :
You're a sweetheart! (Or perhaps just a mug! Only kidding!) I hope Jen realises how lucky she is to have a sister like you!!
from avalonte :
Thank you so much for your message sweetie! Yeah, the weather's been amazing hasn't it!
from clarity25 :
thanks for the compliment on the painting I'm working on. It always means alot to me when I get feedback, especially from another artist. I really enjoy reading your entries, you're a really honest and engaging writer. I also feel like I can relate to you, but that's a common phenomena in diaryland I guess. We all put ourselves out there and choose to share aspects of ourselves with others. Somehow it helps us all to feel connected and not so alone in this big crazy world we live in.
from evesbanshee :
Do it!! I really think that you should go to the university in the fall! I'm doing it! We can support each other thru it!! :)
from emmazchaos :
This layout is cute, but I miss ol' Snape.... =( Hope you have fun when you come to America- you prolly wrote why you're coming here in a previous entry that I missed, but could you drop me a note? I'm curious. Take care fellow Alan lover, Emma.

I've been feeling similar recently. I seem to be distancing myself from diaryland. I moved over to livejournal with the intention of throwing myself in somewhere where no one knows me and starting again. But in the end I seem to have brought people with me anyway, it was too lonely in cyber space by myself. maybe keep two diaries. write your entry in a secret diary, then write the diluted version of it in cornflake?
from star-heart :
I just wanted to say I completely got what you were talking about in your last entry. That's kind've why I've stopped writing in my diary at the moment. I'm missing it loads so I will be back but I wish I could be more anonymous. I won't be back for a couple of weeks though because I'm enjoying spending less time online and not writing at the moment. Anyway I'm rambling, I just wanted to send you some (((hugs))) and say everything you just wrote about is what I should have written in my last entry. love, Emma

Hiya Hon! When I done my Open Uni course I was worried about writing my essays and stuff too because of getting words all muddled up and letters back to front, but the disability dept arranged software & stuff to make life a little easier for me. One of the items was a programme called Read and Write and it's a little like predictive text messaging - I found it really helpful because it came with a built in dictionary, spell check etc as well. Maybe Worcester Uni could arrange something similar for you too? I don't know if it's available to buy or download from the internet you see, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. I'm sorry you're missing Bonnie so much. I bet you can't wait for summer now :o) Take Care, Love, Jo XXX
from avalonte :
I'm so happy for you! You're going to have a wonderful time with Bonnie, and you're going to breeze through uni, while having a fab time!!

Hiya Hon, your last entry about meditation had me in stitches and made me remember when I tried it. I kinda felt the same only swore a whole lot more - lol. I haven't tried it again! Thanks for the card too - I really appreciate it. Hugs, Jo XXX

from avalonte :
I think it's healthy to let yourself go a little insane! Ironically, I think it helps you remain sane! Don't worry about the Christmas tree table! I took K to the park the other day, but called it the cinema! I didn't even notice I'd done it until she gave me that well-practised "Oh my god my mother's lost it" look!!!
from a-rainbow :
I hate the turn dossing too, but thats not what your doing, you took a step back from life sue to ill health & now your picking up pieces of the world as you can! Good luck with the UCAS stuff, im playing catch up from being in hosptial but I will be back in contact soon xxxx
from viks :
that wasnt what i meant to post in your guestbook, sorry, and it wont let me post what i want to,sorry!

will miss you. take it easy on yourself ok xx
from emmazchaos :
Hooray for incredible luck of being paid for not talking to people and just sittin' back and taking it easy!
from whereibegin :
My own personal experience is that artists tend to be questioners, always looking for the deeper meaning and truth and trying to express it in their craft. That being said, I don't think it's at all surprising that you are questioning your own passion for art - I dare say that most artists do that. I think you deserve to be a little easier on yourself. It sounds like you're beating yourself up for a decision you made years ago, and continuing to beat yourself up for even thinking about taking a new path. Regardless of what your parents say, I think your instincts are spot on. Do you what you love and what makes you happy - the rest will follow.
from viks :
pps)Oh and you frekaed me out the other day, i went onto www.effingham.co.uk which is where i live, about as small as you get. There was al ink to a diaryland diary by someone who lives in effingham, i go and have a look, and then go to sign her notes page, it only has about 5 notes on there... one of them being you!!!! LOL the chances of that!
from viks :
ps)I still have a butterfly on my wall that you painted a long time ago :)
from viks :
bloodyhell vicky, those pictures you linked are fantastic- im not saying that as i think it might be what yuo want to hear, they really are. Sometimes we can't see our own sparks, but that doesn't mean they aren't there....
from star-heart :
Hon I'm sure yoiur Dad was being well meaning and just trying to play devils advocate so to speak... I know lots of people who did fine art with photography or something not obviously art like as their *thing* (hope that makes sense). I'm sure that you will manage a full time course just fine but if its a struggle you can always defer a few modules and do an extra year like I have. I know the idea of going to uni is scary and you keep changing your mind about it (I was like that before I applied) but I think you at least have to try otherwise you will keep wondering "what if..." (((hugs))) I know our situations are very different but give me an e-mail or summat if you want someone to talk it thru whose done uni with a medical condition. more (((hugs)))
from xylem :
I'm glad I'm not the only one to struggle with the ice today. I ended up ringing my mum up and asking her to come and pick me up, as I was stranded on a bit of pavement with ice all around me and I was scared to step on it. I'm not sure if I'll ever live this down.
from evesbanshee :
I'll be praying for you. I too have been having a very hard day today. I hope that everything gets back and track for you, and come Monday you go and get everything taken care of to get back into college! I'm proud of you! CONGRATS!!! I don't know if you know this or not, but I too am a freelance photographer, so I can relate that way. I also studied graphic design and my husband has his degree in visual communications. That rocks that your getting back into that!!! I'm excited for you!

Come and take the diaryland Banner challenge!
from some-trouble :
Hmmm, I don't mean to be rude hon, but if this Norman person can come out with something like that when you're feeling down he couldn't have been much of a friend. Nobodies problems are more or worse than anyone elses, and no one has the right to say that they are. I've been reading your diary for a while now, and I don't think you come across as a whiny bitch - you rarely complain about being ill and about the things that you have had to give up. I know its easier said than done because comments like that do stick in your mind, but please try to forget what he said in the past. From what I've read here people like you for you whatever mood or kind of day you're having. If ever you want to talk though outside your diary you have both my addy and my e-mail - I'll gladly listen and help if I can. Hugs, Jo XXX
from a-rainbow :
How about post Halloween pre Bonfire night/Xmas party? Any excuse for a drink!
from some-trouble :
Hiya Hon, your Halloween plans for next year sound much more fun than being 'scared' by trick or treaters... can I gatecrash the party... please??? Or you could always come here... living next door to a cemetary guarantees a lively Halloween night - lol Hugs, Jo XXX

Physical betterness will take time, how long where you working for? You know what ME/stress is like, you just have to keep fighting & hold on, if you cant hold on let others do it for you, & blow bubbles xxx
from a-rainbow :
Your not going backwards hun, although I see your point, read this; ~^~ the road to success is always under construction ~^~

Hey. It was so lovely reading about your 'Gift' and I couldn't stop smiling! These things are ment to happen, and along the way you will meet people who are like you. I really know how you are feeling. Hope you're ok.x
from some-trouble :
Thanks for the messages and the hugs - I really appreicate you thinking of me. Your gift sounds interesting... maybe that's the wrong word to use, but stoopid brainfog wont let me think of something better :o) Can't wait to read part 2. Hope you're awap atm??? Hugs, XXX
from devilscarpet :
I have a very very subtle bit of what you have certain times, when it seems important. It's good of you to share. I understand it could be hard; too many wack jobs want to call you their title out there.
from chillidip :
sounds familiar. i used to have dreams that came true. i seem to sense things on a strange level. i have always had problems with the weather and electricity. i try and ignore the weird stuff, it freaks me out. i used to write to a medium who felt i was psychically attuned and should be using my "gift" to help people. but im too scared of meddling in the unknown in case something bites me on the arse ;) hope youre ok at the moment xxx

Insulted for feeling normal... hmmm I think Not. I think any person whos health overwhelms them like this would feel a little like you do, dont get angry at yourself for such things hun. I know the problems of money & housing, all I can say is last time I checked you WERN'T able to work part time, thats why you left (apart from other reasons), maybe you need to take a deep breath & consider the dreaded DLA, I could help with the form if you needed to... Hugs me xxx
from some-trouble :
I'm not officially a SAM but I have just applied to become one and I haven't found your comments insulting at all. No matter what you are or aren't capable of you have an illness which affects your ability to lead a 'normal' life, and based on this I think you should look into getting DLA. Congrats on getting onto the arts project too! Much Love, Jo XXX
from chillidip :

You still have fight in you, its just hidden under your nausea. Give yourself a break, you have poor health & have had a rough few weeks, inbetween movie making... I know that now your not working things are going to change, I remeber the feeling, but allow yourself to rant & cry, & if need be, throw up, its your right xxx

from a-rainbow :
You know Norman is right, there is always someone worse off, in the same way there are many people in a mkuch better place than you, so dont feel guilty about such things. Admitting youir true feelings isnt that simple, if it were lots of people would be much better off... your a good person Vicky, but know that anyone who belittles your problem is no friend... hugs K xx
from rockyraven :
